You drive a cab, please take a shower. We are trapped in a small space together and it's cold out. I did open the window to relieve myself of your stank. I may have been drinking but my olfactory senses were not inebriated. When it came time to pay the use of new fangled technology must have confused you. It took 15 minutes for you to charge my debit card. Good thing I wasn't in a hurry. Bummer that the machine you have to use to run credit cards is so difficult to navigate. It had a slot that you swipe the card through. tough luck man. This company doesn't deserve a 1 star rating. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I'd like to warn everyone to avoid Budget Taxi as if it were the bubonic plague. The dispatchers are incessantly rude. The drivers are awful. My cab driver refused to give me my change. I paid with a $20 for an $11 dollar ride, she claimed she could only give me $3. I asked if she could take me to a store to get change and acted as if that were an outrageous request. I just wanted out of the cab so badly I just accepted the $3 dollars. My other driver was a man with the worst hygiene. He spent the entire ride going off on some negative rant about Eugene. The cab driver also had severe road rage cussing at other drivers, screaming at pedestrians, incredibly awful to be trapped in a vehicle with someone of this temperament, Talk about bad vibes, man. I've called to let them know about my horrible experiences. They did not care and were very rude about it, unwilling to correct any of their mistakes. It amazes me that they're still in business. The cab driver was polite in conversation, but even though he asked for my address he nearly passed my house and I had to tell him that he did. And when I told him that he just passed it, he backed up and turned, and then stopped in a way that blocked the lane we were in and he let me out IN THE STREET, instead of just pulling into my driveway. If a driver does not wish to pull into the driveway at least part parallel to the sidewalk and let me out. Even though the rates are cheap I wouldn't recommend budget taxi. Executive taxi is way more professional for the same price. read more

Wanted to be responsible and safe for the husband's work party. Budget was not our first choice but they were the only ones available to pick us up. They were on time. The car was an acceptable level of clean. The car sounded like it was suffering from a winter cold though. The driver was friendly. A little chatty and would have preferred not to listen to the radio given our apparent political differences. I felt compelled to write the review because no one had reviewed them in 2017 and I thought the 1 star reviews were a little harsh. Would I use them again? If I was in a jam again, yes but not my go to option. read more

On a busy summer night, I was ready to go home and was about to call a taxi when I spotted an empty Budget cab just hanging outside. Apparently everyone else got the memo and had the good sense to avoid Budget, but silly me, I was just happy to snag a cab without a wait. The driving was moderately terrifying, but frankly I was more scared of the driver (at least a car crash would give me the opportunity to escape). He seemed like he was hopped up on something--he was twitchy, slurred his speech, and didn't stop bobbing his head. I was fairly convinced that I'd wake up the next morning bleeding in a bathtub of ice. About a block away from my home I said, "Right here is fine." He told me he had to write down my debit card. I replied that I didn't feel comfortable with that and bargained my fare to what cash I had on hand. Usually, I would feel comfortable calling a company and complaining, but in this case I decided against it because he had my address. My friend's coworker said that he has known quite a few women who have had similar scary experiences, so I am guessing that this is not an isolated incident. But on the plus side, the fare is pretty cheap. read more

The worst cab company. I had to catch a flight at the airport so called to reserve a ride 2 hours before my pick up time, and the dispatcher forgot to send a driver. I made it on time but the dispatcher made excuses that their phone was broken. When the driver picked me up 10 min later she blamed the dispatcher and didn't apologize. She didn't wear her seat belt, and when getting to the airport she unloaded my suitcase and left it on the curb and looked at me saying "what." I said I have to pay and she was like ohhhhh. I should've just left! I wanted to pay with a card but she didn't have any pay slips or something and blamed it on the driver before her. I told her she could just take my card number and then asks me for a tip! When I said no, she gives me a look. Screw this place. Worst service I've had in a long time. read more

We had a horrible experience with Budget travel as well. when the car arrived we were afraid to get into it because we weren't sure it would make to our destination. It was filthy and the driver had no teeth and acted like she was on Quack. Terrifying . We have many good and reputable shuttle and taxi services in Eugene, don't be fooled by their advertised lower rates. You pay a high price to when you use Budget Taxi, your safety. Never called this company before, they were my third choice. Driver was 25 minutes behind what was promised... got me home fairly quickly, then proceeded to grumble about taking my card. Most cabs I've taken expect cards rather than cash! He called his operator and they loudly complained about me, in front of me. It was about this time I noticed he'd never stopped the meter! He attempted to overcharge me by two dollars before I called his attention to the error. He changed the details, but he (again IN FRONT OF ME, without giving me any details) called his dispatch and asked them to flag my number! All for trying to be charged fairly. I left the cab and he began to scream at me down the street. I couldn't tell exactly what he was saying, because I was freaked out and wanted to get inside. But the words definitely weren't friendly. I called his dispatch line to complain as soon as I was inside. The man on the line told me the driver had just called about me! The reason? Slamming the door too hard. I told my story, and the man said "sorry for the attitude," with no explanation and no responsibility. Worst taxi service I've EVER taken. Call literally any other company! read more

I don't know about the rest of the drivers at Budget but I would absolutely avoid Taxi Driver Chris Kelsey (car #3). Our company called Budget to pick up a senior citizen (around 80 years of age) to help him get home. The dispatcher estimated what the fee would be since the man was legally blind and needed help getting his money ready in advance. As soon as he got in the cab the driver took off, not giving him a minute to get his seatbelt fastened. Then when the gentleman tried to verify the amount with the driver he yelled at him and said he would charge what he wanted and proceeded to say several nasty words about the dispatcher. The driver then pulled over and very rudely told him to get out of his cab. He was already about half a block down the road and the customer insisted that he was physically unable to walk back to where he was initially picked up. The driver did bring him back and we called another driver. The elderly gentleman was physically shaking when he got back to our place of business. I can't imagine why any company would want a driver like him representing them and I personally would not call Budget again. read more
