Being somewhat leery of a reliable pickup at 4AM to airport we couldn't risk being late. All went extremely well and he was a great conversationalist at that hour. Booked/confirmed a 3:30 AM ride to the airport (where being on time is kinda important). Around 11:30 the night before I get a text saying they're overbooked but they got a competitor's driver to cover. When he was five minutes late with no word, I called him, to be told it would be another 15-20 minutes (too late). Had to drive, pay for parking and walk to the terminal post-knee-surgery (which is why I booked a taxi in the first place). You are taking a risk getting into one of their cabs. You might get lucky, there was once a really nice lady that worked there...or you might get the horrible man that can't control his mouth and will kick you out of the cab leaving you deserted in the cold, in the dark...WITH A CHILD. I have a moderate form of agoraphobia and rarely leave my home (I don't even have a cell phone, no need before). Thru much anxiety I was able to force myself (for the sake of my little grandson) to go from Veneta to Eugene just to see Santa. Our driver knew all of this, including that I didn't have a cell phone. Yet he totally ruined our trip, my grandson was so excited to see the Christmas lights on the way there, but it was all ruined because the driver wanted to feel important/smart/whatever and just would not stop going on and on and on about Jesus. After several attempts to get him to stop, I finally slightly lost it and asked him to just shut the (you know what) up! If I was by myself, fine. But I had a small child with me and his heavy car seat. He left us a long way from our destination, in the VERY cold, dark, no way to call another cab....and drove off. It was a long horrible cold night. I have not left my home since. Gee, thanks a lot Go Taxi, you have made my agoraphobia worse. read more
