The driver made such a scene over me asking a question that we had a crowd of people around us watching him call us bad parents for simply asking a question. He was threatening and demeaning. All you have to do is read the reviews of how they treat people and you will know not to ride with them, and to see his insulting replys to his customers... lol disgusting anyways who catches taxis anymore lyft and uber are much cheaper and you dont have to deal with privileged boomers talking down on you. Do not do business with this company. Last time I hired them they sent me an unvaccinated driver without telling me. This time I asked up front. The dispatcher said they don't give out their employees information. Then, without any provocation at all, he said to me, "We don't ask you if you've had a hysterectomy." However, at the moment I will not use them beause there are drivers who are not wearing masks and refuse to tell you if they are vaccinated. I wish I could give 0 stars, and here's why. I called these people and asked for a cab at 7am the next day, and the person on the phone said it was set up. I should have known by the perma-stoned sound of his voice that I shouldn't have trusted him. So the next day rolls around and at 7:05, still no cab. I had to catch a shuttle to Portland at 7:30, and if I missed it, I would have missed my flight in Portland too! So I call them up, and this time I get a constantly yelling man on the phone. Oh guess what: my appointment wasn't scheduled in his book! Yes, so now I DIRELY have to be somewhere in 25 minutes, with no cab. The yelling man offers to transfer me to some other cabbie but there was no way I was giving him my business after all this. So as I'm walking towards my destination with my three pieces of luggage, meanwhile calling every other cab company, a miracle happens. Just a few houses down from me, an Oregon taxi guy was sweeping out his cab. I begged him to take me to my destination, explaining my dire situation, and he agreed despite just getting off fourteen-hour shift. Not just that, but he was friendly and nice the entire ride. Morals of the story: 1. If you actually want a cab, don't go with eugene hybrid taxi cabs. 2.Oregon Taxi drivers are godsends. read more

In Las Vegas, I went on the Uber app and requested a ride. After a few seconds, the app indicated the request was accepted and the driver was on his way. I could follow the car's progress and see when it was getting close. An ETA was provided and was updated in real time. The driver arrived on time in a newer four door sedan and took me to the airport quickly, inexpensively, and courteously. Tipping is optional. I arrived in Eugene and joined eight other people in the taxi loading queue. There were no cabs in sight. After ten minutes, I telephoned Eugene Hybrid and asked if any of their cabs were in the area. He said he would only send one if I would give him my credit card number in advance and agree not to take any other cab. I asked how long it would take for them to get to me, and he said "no thanks" and hung up on me. Taxi companies like Hybrid should be afraid. If Uber or Lyft are ever allowed in this market, the current cab companies may have to learn to treat their customers with a little respect to avoid disappearing. read more

While we usually have good service we had an truly terrible experience last night. After being told that it would be 20 minutes for our pick up, we received a call while waiting that our address was invalid due to the fact that the fraternity was closed for the summer. His excuse was invalid due to the fact that we had friends actively living there. When I became upset (it was 3 AM) he then informed me that he would not be picking us up because I was "intoxicated". I was not intoxicated, just upset. I told him we had been drinking earlier that night which is why we chose to call a cab. After he refused we called the main number to request a different cab the operator informed us that the cab driver cancelled our pick up because he had been "cussed out". This was also untrue. I've cussed out customer service reps before and this was not one of those times. Long story short, don't call here after you've had a few drinks and need to get home safely. Also don't call them from the UO campus during the summer because it is apparently closed. After loving Hybrid and using them exclusively for over a year, we will have to go back to the other limited options in Eugene. The way we were treated and talked to was inexcusable for an operation that relies on customer service so heavily. read more

Use this taxi service if you can. The cars were very clean and Jay was absolutely fantastic. I was in a big hurry to get to the airport and he not only got me there on time but gave me regular updates on when we'd probably get there. He was so kind and considerate. He was happy to talk if I wanted but generally let me do what I needed to do in the back. The car had plenty of space for a lot of luggage (about 3 large bags) and had classy leather seats. The payment was easy and you can do it before you get there if you're in a hurry. read more

It's scary reading reviews and knowing who to trust to pick you up for your early flight. Some Taxi companies don't even have a person answering the phone - but only have an answering machine. Hybrid did. I reserved with Hybrid. They sent texts when they were on the way and at my house. They were 5 minutes early which was just great with me. I got to the airport in plenty of time. They took my return flight number and promised to meet me when I fly back to Eugene. They kept their promise and were ready for me when I walked out of the airport. A+ highly recommended. read more

I got a ride home from the airport in a Hybrid Taxi, and I liked the car and the driver. So I tried to reserve a taxi to meet me at the airport. The woman on the phone refused to accept my American Express card. She declared that a credit card number must have 16 digits. My card's number has 15 digits. I did not think it would help to add a random digit. Obviously, the taxi company needs to provide more or better training for its telephone personnel. read more

I've got to say, I was a bit nervous booking this taxi co. due to some of the negative reviews. I usually always check yelp first and Eugene has slim pickings when it comes to airport transportation. I must say I was very relieved that I didn't listen to them and took a chance on Eugene Hybrid Taxi cab co. My son needed a cab today from school to the airport, to play it safe I booked the cab the night before along with a pick up time much earlier than we needed. Well, they picked him up right on time in front of his building. Absolutely the worst cab company I've ever done business with. I called 4 hours in advance to make sure I'd have a cab for new years eve. I received a text at 7:10 saying it would be here by 7:29 I went outside to smoke and wait. Then received a text saying it was here, immediately followed by a text saying they were leaving. I called the company as I had planned on this they were completely unhelpful and argued with me about the cab waiting 10 mins when clearly I'm standing in freezing ass weather for 20 mins. They wouldnt send a another and wouldnt even apologize. Definitely call any other cab company in Eugene if you want your business to be appreciated. read more

Rode an Amtrak to Eugene from the Bay Area and tried to get a taxi from the train station when I got off and asked the driver if my five year old needed a car seat (because you don't need one in the Bay Area for taxis) he then decided to call me a bad parent while grinning at me. That's the guy you have greeting new people to Eugene .. some dude that attacks a parent for not bringing a car seat on the train. Anyways so I then decided to call the company and they said I'm sorry sir there's nothing I can do about it so I gave up and decided to walk to my destination with my five year old. The taxi driver then followed me slowly down the street with his window down staring at me basically threatening me. I stopped and dropped my luggage and stared at the him and he pulled into the parking lot across the street from me and parked facing me staring me down. The only reason he left is because he saw a cop car drive by and I saw him panic. I repeatedly called the company at which they said they'd contact him and take care of it. I saw him driving a taxi two weeks later and he's still working for this company. I will never ride your taxis again and I warn everyone about hybrid taxis DO NOT USE THESE TAXIS!! Irresponsible company and drivers are trash! Catch a Lyft or Uber much cheaper and much better drivers. read more

Two weeks ago I called in advance to reserve a taxi ride to the airport for the following day. Our taxi was 45 minutes late, almost causing us to miss our flight. When I called to check on the status, I was told they didn't have a good phone # for me but were running behind that day (they had never asked for a phone # when I reserved the cab the day before) and the cab driver made no apology or even comment on the matter when he finally arrived. I still wouldn't have posted a bad review except that this morning I was tailgated on my way to work by one of their drivers on Beltline. I was going the speed limit and keeping pace with everyone else in rush hour traffic so I'm not sure what he thought he had to gain by riding my bumper. I will not use their service if I have to be somewhere at a certain time . The reason they are getting two stars is because I've used them in the past and was not this disappointed. I called at 9 a.m. to get a ride to a concert that started at 7:30 p.m. that evening. I called early because it was going to be rainy, at night and high traffic downtown. I drive an Excursion which is humongous to be driving downtown in. I asked the taxi to be there at 6:45. At 6:50 I tried calling and heard a recording over and over again for over 5 minutes each time. I kept trying to call multiple times and got the same recording over and over again. We waited until 7:10 before deciding to just drive and risk it. It was 7:13 when we pulled out of the driveway. While on our way downtown, they kept blasting my phone by calling and texting repeatedly. I was not about to answer while driving. This morning I checked the phone records and found out they didn't even get here until 7:17 p.m., over half an hour late . That would have left us only 13 minutes to get downtown, through security and to our seats. This was the exact same reason why I phoned them at 9 in the morning for a 6:45 pick up. I will not be using their service if I ever need to be somewhere with a time commitment. I have previously used their service once and they were only 10 minutes late which was no big deal for that event. read more

Called dispatcher on Tuesday for an early morning Wednesday ride. Dispatcher confirmed fastest route, arrival time and senior discount. Driver called in the morning, lost. She arrived late, no apology, swerved dangerously on I-5 in front of a passing car, complained of her migraines and charged me more than I was told the previous day. When I called Hybrid to complain, there were no apologies, I was made to feel guilty for their mistake and was not offered the senior discount, since apparently I was supposed to clear that with the driver...not a very listening company and definitely one I will recommend to no one. read more

Called a day ahead of time to make a reservation to the airport. Got a text when the cab was on its way, as well as a call from the driver that they were running 10-15 minutes late. When he showed up, he tried to explain that another driver called in sick, whatever, it's annoying to hear excuses when you're trying to make your flight. The cab/driver smelled strongly of cigarettes. He didn't use GPS to get out of my neighborhood, so I don't think he took the quickest route. Nice enough guy, but kept trying to show me photos of his dog on his phone while driving, which isn't cool. Three stars because I got to the airport and was kept up to date on the delay, but I'll continue doing all I can to not have to take taxis to the airport. read more

I didn't want to subject any of my friends to the task of taking me to the airport at the crack of dawn. So I called Eugene Hybrid Taxi a few days before my flight to make a reservation for 5:15 am. John picked me up right on time. The sun wasn't even up yet. He was a courteous, safe driver, and even asked if I had a preferred route to the airport. The final cost (not including tip) was a few dollars less than the online estimate. I was able to pay with my credit card via square, which was an added bonus. read more

Called midafternoon Saturday for a taxi from downtown. Girl taking my call was clueless, asked way too many questions, and didn't provide an estimate of time to pickup. Fifteen minutes later I called again to see where my cab was. She hems and haws and says "It will be there soon." I ask what that means. More checking, and she says that their driver didn't get back to her with a yes on the pickup, but she is sure he will soon. I cancelled, called a competitor, and got picked up in five minutes. VERY unprofessional, and a waste of my time. I will not use them again. read more

I made an appointment ahead of time to catch a ducks game in Eugene. Scheduled to meet us at Eugene airport. Due to weather we had to divert to Creswell airport. David (cab driver) called us in flight to give us an update about the poor weather conditions (very nice). When we made it to Creswell airport, I called David who was waiting at Eugene Airport, told him what happened and he said he was now on his way to Creswell. He showed up in 10-15 mins wearing a Ducks Jersey. Fun, nice, informative cab driver. He gave us a number so we can call him after the game. Met him at a suggested location a short ways from the stadium. Everything worked out great. I was very happy with the service. Ask for David to pick you up, you won't regret it, good local knowledge. read more

When I got to the airport, I asked for a receipt (too late to run a credit card) and he basically couldn't figure out how to prepare one. I've only used Eugene Hybrid Taxi Cabs twice, but so far, the company is batting 1000! Not only was it easy to call in and order a cab, but both times, I received multiple text messages, confirming my order and updating me --to the minute-- on when my taxi would arrive. In both situations, my cab driver(s) arrived early, helped me put my luggage in the trunk, and waited until I got in the car to turn on the meter. They were also both super friendly and conversational :) I highly recommend this taxi service- especially if you're traveling with friends! There's no charge for extra bodies, and you'll get to your destination with time to spare. read more
