I should've listened to the review. This buffet wanted to imitate the good days of NoriNori but it failed in every aspect. The decorations and ambiance feel like a mediocre coffee shop. The layoutfor the buffet area is even worse - why do you have a dead end?? The food quality was not worth the price you pay for. The sushi/sashimi quality is that of a typical sushi restaurant you can find around any corner in Gwinnett. So I just filled myself up with snow crab legs for the rest of the night. The non-sushi items were also very disappointing. It just didn't have any wow factor like NoriNori used to have. The service was also quite slow to take away our used dishes. read more

My parents took me out here because they have unlimited crab legs and I wasn't disappointed. We came on a Wednesday right when they opened at 6pm for dinner so we were the first ones there. The service was great, our server was super friendly and efficient in cleaning up the plates from our tables. It's definitely smaller than other sushi buffets I've been to like Nori Nori, but I personally like the atmosphere here better since I don't have to walk all over the restaurant and around tables and other customers to get my food. I live in SD and there's another AYCE sushi place that I go to and the price is about the same for less options, so coming here and seeing all the options was surprising. I'm not a huge sushi person, rather I like rolls preferably the crunch ones and they had a couple choices and I enjoyed all of them. I honestly went crazy on the crab legs which were also delicious. I think everything was great for the price of something around $42 and no limited time. The only thing was that some of the food wasn't fresh and was cold, but overall I really enjoyed my experience here! read more

Oraora is one of the best sushi buffets we have ever been to. The food was amazing, it was clean, and every single thing they put out was delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone who is a lover of sushi or crab legs. Also, their kimchi was chef's kiss! 10/10 will go again and keep coming back. Yum! read more

Sushi was fresh and they definitely had some good options. They also replenished the buffet often. If you go for just sushi, you can't go wrong.. but some of the other stuff was limited (but their sign does say sushi buffet).. they did have all you can eat crab legs and raw oysters (Quality is as expected for a buffet). I did enjoy the soup bar area, but I love soup anything so that was a win for me. Service was good and overall the food was decent. I guess I just expected more, especially for the price point. I can't exactly remember but I'm sure we paid about ~$45 a person and sodas were ~$3-$4. The space was nice and appeared clean, which is also a plus. I'm not quite sure I'll be coming back any time soon, however, I haven't completely wrote it off my list to re-visit. read more

I recently visited OraOra for the first time and enjoyed a variety of rolls and other items. I do not eat much shellfish, and was pleasantly surprised at the variety of sushi available without shrimp or other shellfish in it. Whether you like a simple salmon roll, signature rolls like rainbow or dragon, or even fried rolls, they have it all. The taste and quality is fair, nothing unique. The non-sushi options were okay. The kimchi was very bland, the beef was cold from sitting out. I did not have the crab legs, but the other people in my party did enjoy them as they had just come out of the kitchen and were steaming hot. It was not busy when we went, so service was pretty attentive refilling waters and picking up used plates. For $50/person, I feel that it's pretty pricey for the quality of food. I definitely did not feel like I got my money's worth but that's coming from someone who doesn't eat a ton. I was tempted to give 3 stars because there's nothing special about the food, but giving 4 due to friendliness of staff and cleanliness of the restaurant. read more

I want to start by saying everything is so clean and so fresh. From unlimited crab legs,oyster and marinated crab you will be in heaven. They have so many different sushi rolls that are to die for as well as a self serve udon station. Overall the atmosphere is beautiful and staff is super friendly and helpful. Went with some friends for some weekend dinner, so it was a bit pricey. The fish selection was decent and varied, though I disappointed that it was mostly sushi and nigiri -- personally, I don't want to load up on rice if I'm going to eat raw fish. The flavor for most of them was alright. Usually salmon and tuna nigiri are reliably decent, but honestly I didn't find them much better than the stuff you get at Kroger or Publix, aside from the rice being fresher. One of the nigiri I tried -- I don't recall what it was unfortunately, but the fish was yellow. It had an oddly bubbly texture with a sour taste. I have made many interesting culinary choices, like eating raw grocery store steak and a few notably red chunks of porks, and that fish was lifechangingly awful. I don't think it was spoiled or anything, I just truly hated it. To clarify, it was not tamago/egg, it was fish. Three of my friends had the raw oyster on their first or second plate and spent the rest of their 35USD dinner feeling too nauseated to do more than nibble on stuff. To be fair, the first friend didn't realize they were raw -- that's really, really not the restaurant's fault. It's his own fault for not using his eyes and deductive reasoning (reading the labels.) The other two did know, but they found the oysters extremely fishy. I ended up having to finish their portions plus my own, and while I didn't think the oysters were notably fishy, I didn't think they were super refreshing either -- but I also had three people sitting there grimacing from eating what I was eating, which definitely makes the experience worse. I have to emphasize that the oysters were safe, their nausea was purely from the psychological damage of eating something raw and unpleasant to taste. I also tried their raw marinated crab. It was nice, the meat as soft and delicate as you'd expect from raw crab. I found the marinade too sweet to eat more of, so it didn't satisfy my raw crab craving. They have udon on their back row with your choice of hot soup to pair with them. Fantastic, beautiful. More restaurants should have udon like that. The best part of the whole place. Their crab legs were okay, not fantastic still. They also had disappointingly lukewarm takoyaki, which feels a little like eating damp bread at that temperature, and some very dry looking tteokbokki. They had a cute little dessert bar with an icecream machine (if I recall, it was vanilla and... pineapple? I think?), whipped topping cupcakes (delicious!), and various items to dip in their chocolate fountain. Both icecream flavors were nice and refreshing, but the texture was grainy with tiny ice particles. The actual ambience is nice; well-lit, clean. Bathroom was easy to find. The staff were kind, helping me find gloves for eating the messier items. The napkin container when I went said something like showing the staff that you left a 5 star review in return for free soda, which I think is a little scuffed. The other reviews seem very complimentary, so I'm not sure what went wrong with our visit. It was a weekend evening, not late at night near closing times nor during rush hour, so I'm suspecting that's why some of the cooked items (takoyaki, tteokbokki) weren't fresh. Summary: Maybe just eat 35 dollars worth of udon, or come at a busy time when they're refreshing the items more frequently. read more

As a Korean, I heard a lot of bad reviews of the place when they first opened, usually about the prices and the quality and availability of the items. I was definitely skeptical about going with my family. The interior was clean and nice with good lighting. Pretty open space and you can see the chefs in the corner. You will be sat at a table and the server will bring drinks that you order. It is an All You Can Eat so you can go get food as soon as you get sat at the table. My family and I were very satisfied with the quality. They only made two rolls of each item at a time to assure quality but no plate was empty when I was there (weekday morning). They also had other Korean dishes such as bulgogi and spicy pork bulgogi along with other items. Food was a little saltier than my personal liking but still very tasty. Server was attentive and empty plates were cleared out whenever we got up to get more food. Solid 4/5. 5 stars as a result of the dessert section where I was able to get churros balls which tasted great and pineapple sorbet style ice cream. Will probably come back for lunch again :) read more

I liked this restaurant!! AYCE sushi. Plenty of free parking. Went for lunch around 12pm on a Sunday and it was decently full. There were tons of options of rolls (with labels), sashimi, crab, lobster, noodles, some cooked dishes etc. all of the quality in my mind was good and taste was good! It is a tad pricey with around $40 for lunch, wish it was closer to $30 and I'd go more often read more

I came here because I've seen many positive reviews, however my experience says otherwise. I came here with my mom around 6:50, and was told it'll be an hour wait. After an hour, I asked how much longer will it take for my table, they say it'll be another 30 minutes. During that extra wait, I notice 3 clean tables, 1 that needs to be bussed, and on top of that, food is not being put out fast enough, especially with the amount of people currently dining. The hostess is also nowhere to be found, so one of the other workers is doing their job. I believe it was the manager who was doing her job, as well as everyone else's. The lack of efficiency and poor management is making me to not even come back here for another chance. The food was mediocre. Some of the food such as the marinated crab did not seem fresh like it felt room temperature or even warm, and some of the food here didn't even taste good. If y'all want something better, go to Nori Nori. They may be slightly more expensive, but they have more variety as well as better service and quality. I'll only come back here if the rest of my family wants to come here again. read more

Sushi buffet. You would think that it's not a good idea because of all the seafood that could very well be sitting out for long periods of time. And for some of the items that might be the case as they probably aren't the popular ones which the owners should take stock of but I digress. It's not a Michelin star grade sushi. But the fact that for the price point of $34.99 plus tax, you can gorge on all the spicy tuna rolls and eel sushi you want is fantastic. There's not much to the place. It's a buffet of sushi and everything Korean/Japanese. I think the owners might be Korean even... but I digress. They have everything there that one could indulge in. And when I say everything Japanese and Korean... I think they have a lot of things you would never expect, especially from a sushi buffet. Besides the rolls, the nigiri, and the sushi; they also include other Japanese fair like udon and soba noodles, takoyaki, tempura, yakitori, and other Japanese fare. From the Korean side, all that I saw was raw marinated crab and kimchee which in my opinion is worth the $35 price point because the marinated raw crab ingredient is expensive so to get what you get is unbelievable for a sushi buffet! Between the raw marinated crabs, bulgogi, kimchee, and other Korean fare, the price is well worth it for the amount of stuff you an select from! They even have a dessert bar of make your own smores, cheesecake bites, strawberry shortcake samplings, cookies, and other items to give you that dessert kick. It's a buffet so the service is relatively non-existant. They're prompt with your water refills and they are also prompt with clearing your empty plate as you're up and about getting your 3rd or 5th helping. The ambiance of the place is spacious! Clean, industrial looking, well lit, with high ceilings makes for a great place to visit. I came around 6:30 when they reopened for the night and they had enough seats where you can stay for a good hour. By the time I got done, people began flooding in so get here when the open and reopen. Great place for large groups or a date spot for a quick sushi fix. read more

OraOra is the newest sushi buffet in town and I was finally able to check them out! Fortunately -- I was able to visit after they lowered the price. I believe during dinner time, they were in the high $40s range.. but there was a lot of negative feedback, so it is currently priced at $34.99 all day whether it is weekday or weekend. My parents love sushi buffets, so I decided to treat them out. We went on a Monday evening, and I was actually shocked to see how small the buffet was. I was expecting the size of Nori Nori or the former Sydney's Buffet, but it was actually really small -- so I already began having my doubts. We walked in and the place was pretty empty for dinnertime. The server sat us down and explained that they are doing their grand opening special for $34.99. We then proceeded to the foods area -- which was two rows. The first row is the hot foods section and the second row is the sushi section. There was a lot of nigiri you can choose from, and I especially liked how the rice portion is pretty small so you can try a different type of nigiri. Regarding hot foods -- there were food items such as donkatsu, udon, soba, pasta, tempura, pork ribs, bulgogi and quite frankly a lot of options to choose from. The only place I can directly compare with is Nori Nori, and Nori Nori has more hot "seafood" options. The options that I saw at OraOra were more meat-catered, which was fine too. In terms of quality of the sushi, it's a sushi buffet so you shouldn't expect anything super high quality. BUT for a sushi buffet, it wasn't bad at all! I think the quality is actually a little better than Nori Nori and there were a LOT of options you can choose from. They also have seaweed salad and ika salad as well. They have a small dessert bar, with a chocolate fountain and MANGO ice cream, which was absoutely amazing. They also have assorted fruits as well. Our server took really good care of us and she was very attentive, but then again -- we were one of like the 3 parties in the restaurant. It was quiet and we were able to have a good dinner experience. I don't know if I would come here often considering the high price point, and even further if the price goes up... but there are those days when I just want to stuff my face with AYCE sushi, and I think then it would be a good option to come here. There is a lot of mixed opinions about this place, but I think they're still in the phase of getting everything together -- so I hope this place can get it together and have a prosperous business! read more

I'm still not sure how they keep track of who uses the sauce bar and how many people in a group choose to use it, or if they simply charge based on the number of people at the table. The service was very friendly and attentive. It also helped that we arrived before the dinner rush, so the menu was explained thoroughly and the server answered all of our questions. They also give you disposable hot pot bib and gloves. In addition to hot pot, they offer a variety of other dishes, as well as separate drink and dessert menus. At the end of the meal, they give you a complimentary ice cream bar. The flavors available during our visit were ube, mango, and melon. These are packaged ice cream bars rather than scooped ice cream served in a cup. They tasted good, although I wish they offered a chocolate flavor as well. You can choose a single pot, a half-and-half pot, or a triple pot, all for the same price. We chose the half-and-half option with the herbal broth and golden chicken broth. Both were flavorful and delicious. Since it was our first visit, we ordered the seafood combo, mushroom combo, freshly cut short rib, instant noodles, and the Lady M matcha cake for dessert. The broths were excellent, and the ingredients were very fresh, which is one of the most important factors in a good hot pot experience. My family was completely full by the end of the meal, and we all had a great experience. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back whenever we're in the mood for hot pot!
