The people here are super friendly and helpful- I had to reschedule my appointment 6 times the same day with scheduling conflicts and they were so flexible. I was warmly greeted and the girl who waxed me, Mary, was awesome. Only small downer is that you cannot tip on your card- only by cash. I went to Orange a few times and had great service and great gel manicures. However, one time I went and my index finger chipped within 3 days. I went back and was very friendly and told them how that's never happened before. They were polite but I could tell by their service when fixing the polish (which took 50 minutes...) that they were annoyed I'd returned. While I wasn't planning on it being that long, I brushed it off as a fluke. I went back a few months later and two of my nails chipped again within 4 days. I again went back, and this time commented how it had happened before and they were extremely rude about it- asking me what activities I'd been doing that could have caused the chips, etc. Like it was my fault!!! Orange Nail Studio is the best in Beverly. The staff are extremely friendly not to mention knowledgeable and skilled. The salon is clean and bright. I have been a regular there for 2yrs and have never had a poor experience. The staff make it a point to make sure that you have enjoyed your mani or pedi. I also have my brows waxed there as well. I absolutely LOVE this nail studio and have been going for over a year now. It is super clean, which is extremely important to me. They give you your own file, buffer, etc. and use individual bowls for lotions and such. They have TONS of color choices and all the latest OPI colors. Very accommodating for scheduling - someone always answers the phone, same or next day appointments are always available, and greeted promptly when you arrive. Dee is awesome - personable, super attentive to her work, and makes you feel taken care of from the time you walk in to checking out. Everyone there is friendly and the staff seem to really care about their regulars. Awesome massage chairs, too! I used to get a mani/pedi as a treat, but now that I have found Orange, I have actually been going more regularly because I feel so great while I am there and after I leave! read more

I had to go through three different HORRIBLE nail salons to finally find Orange Nail Studio. The moment I walked in I just knew the place was going to be amazing. The other nail salons I went to ALL cut my cuticles while buffing my nails for acrylics. They all rushed, and none of them spoke a word of English. At Orange, all of the people there are friendly and they all speak wonderful English, haha. The front girl Cindy is the sweetest thing, and Mary is the girl who did my nails. She was very gentle, not a single thing hurt the entire time and it was a very fun experience because everyone in the place are like best friends so they talk and joke around with eachother. Mary is also a nursing student at Salem State, so I felt really good paying her and tipping her because she deserved it as not only an amazing nail artist, but as a hard working student. read more

I've been going to orange nails for almost a year now. I see Tumi and she does and amazing job. I always leave happy with my nails and they last for two weeks no problem (gel manicure). Everyone else in the salon is always friendly and nice. The place is clean and comfortable, and I love that I have my own file and buffer that's used in my manicures. I've been to this studio a few times over the last 5 years. Every single time I have experience extremely unprofessional and downright RUDE staff. The first time, the person doing my pedicure kept yelling at me because my toes were touching each other.... but she used no toe separators! It was straight up rude and I couldn't believe I was paying for someone to be rude and impolite to me. Then, more recently, I scheduled a mani pedi and apparently there was some mistake where the person who booked me didn't make a note of the fact that I had gel on my nails that needed to be taken off. The manicurist was SO UPSET by that. I mean flat out attitude so bad that I felt that I needed to APOLOGIZE to her for removing the nail polish (a service I was paying a. Additional fee for). The culture of the staff is very entitled, rude, and unprofessional. I gave it several chances and always had the same problem. I'm honestly not normally someone who leaves reviews or ever complains but I felt compelled to let other people know this. There are better salons out there for cheaper. Beverly Day Spa for one is excellent and they treat their customers and coworkers with kindness. read more

I have to admit that when I first discovered Orange Nail Studio I wondered how I had missed it, as I am not loyal to any one place and shop around for good mani/pedi's. I loved it and brought friends/daughters with me...but something changed when they completed the renovations/expansion that included a row of pedicure stations along the back right wall. Suddenly when I went in it was no longer a quiet, relaxing place to go, the usual nail techs were either absent or too busy now to take walk-ins and I inevitably was "given" to a very young-looking girl (who DID speak in Vietnamese, as one writer said they do not) who gave me a terrible manicure that peeled off in 12 hrs. I literally had it done, went to work and returned the next morning to have a polish change, not too happy as I have had plenty of good manicures there before this, including gel, which is of course superior and stays on forever no matter where you go! On this day, a blonde, Caucasian girl was directed by the manager to help me. I sat down in front of her and immediately took in the following: dirt under jagged, unpainted nails, straggly hair and the ugliest, open, pus-ooziing sore on her upper chest that was uncovered and visible for everyone to see. I asked her what happened. Her reply: "I don't know, I think a bug bit me, but I can't stop scratching it." I was speechless. As a registered nurse, I knew this could very well be a MRSA infection. I asked her to make sure her hands were washed, suggested she cover it and informed her that she may need antibiotics and should see a doctor right away. I then asked her if she could tell her boss to have someone else do my nails, as I was concerned about the possible transmission of an infection. She became rude, pushed the table away and left. The only reason I stayed was because I was meeting people for lunch and had no time to go elsewhere! The owner did my nails, and I have never been back. Judgement call: as a business owner who is responsible for overseeing the use of sharp implements for cutting cuticles, etc., and who must pass public health inspections for infection control, how do you approve of an employee facing the public with an uncovered oozy sore and an unclean appearance? I'm sorry to say that I don't want to be the one who picks up MRSA from dirty cuticle nippers, etc,. They may look clean, but you can't see bacteria. Word to the wise: If your nail tech has ANY cut, or other open area that is exposed, or is wearing a bandaid on his/her finger, please consider asking for another tech, or asking for the tech to wear latex/nitrile gloves. MRSA is not just in hospitals, it is everywhere in the community, and nail salons are teeming with bacteria! read more

I agree with the previous post. I will not get a pedicure here because they do not give you a good one for the money very rushed. As far as the gel colors they do not have a lot to choose from which is true. I decided to buy my own I thought I'll bring my own maybe they would give me a discount flat out told me no. They have no trouble charging extra if you pick from one brand to the next. One girl named Candy I will not go to anymore just tells me all the time to relax relax while she is hurting you I have natural long nails and I need some support when you're working on them if they knew anything about natural nails. I also been cut a couple of times with the buffer. They really don't care about the customer. I used to be a manicurist and I would never tell them to relax like that. read more

I've gone to Orange Nail several times and tolerated their rudeness and ineptitude because they're so convenient to my office. However, they have officially provided the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. The manicurist spent the first 20 minutes making fun of my worn, older manicure, then left a TON of it still on my nails before sending me on my way. As a first time customer, I was disappointed. I didn't find the service very accommodating. I had to ask where the nail polish colors were. I was then surprised to learn that different colors and brands had different prices- I've never heard of this before and it was confusing. I always spend a little too much time trying to decide on a color. Picking one out makes me a little anxious- so many choices! So, you can imagine how off-putting it was when the color I finally settled on was OUT! I also didn't find this out until it was time to apply the color. My manicure was fine but a tad rushed. The stations are very bare-bones- there wasn't even an overhead light. I didn't feel especially pampered. My color and gel manicure came out well. I did have one chip after 2 days, but everything else stayed perfectly for 2 weeks. I love the easy location of this studio, but would be very cautious to go back. read more

OK I read all your negative reviews and am thinking you either never have been to this salon or are full of s#@T. I have been going to Orange nails for 2 years and not one chip in my gel manicure and the girls are so nice. If they take too long they always knock off money and they are very accommodating. I would not judge Orange by these reviews. I tried 2 other salons in Beverly and they were no comparison. I can go a month if needed without a chip. They are gentile and never have ever cut me like most other salons. I am the pickest person when it comes to customer service and they are very nice to deal with. I went in on a Friday to get a gel manicure. By the following Saturday, one nail was completely chipped off and 4 other nails were peeling/lifting. This establishment guarantees your nails will last 2 weeks but when I came in for a fix and they said they would soak off and repaint the chipping nails. However, how could I guarantee that it wouldn't happen to the other nails? How would it look like 5 nails were growing out and the other five were not? I asked to just soak all of them off and that would be all I would ask for. Well because it was a "different" service, I was charged. By when I asked for just a soak off, no one told me that I would then be charged? I assumed this was still covered as a fix. Completely disappointed. Such lack of communication. read more

I have been here a couple of times and have been happy. My last visit which was a pedi and shelac/gelish mani wasn't their best job I've seen. My shelac didn't last a week as their were air pockets on my nails nor did my daughters shelac mani. My pedi is still going strong. I do agree that I love that the employees speak English but my last visit the girl doing my nails & my daughters nails, they started speaking in their language, which I find rude. I wont' get my shelac mani's there anymore ONLY because they are the only salon that charges to remove the shelac/gelish material. read more

I went to this place for an eyebrow wax. it was.. eh.. nothing special. The wax room was so dusty. there was still wax on my forehead when i left, and they didnt apply any type of lotion post wax. don't think i will be back for wax, maybe nails. read more

I walked in for a manicure yesterday. The whole experience was awesome. The salon is cute and immaculately clean. There was no wait, I sat right down at the table. I had Tummie, who was FANTASTIC! She was really fun, and we had a great time talking during the manicure. She is also really talented. She shaped my nails quickly and perfectly. I had her do a French manicure and she also painted that perfectly - I really liked the style and shape of the white tips. I am pretty picky about that, so I was thrilled that she was so good. She checked in with me a few times during the manicure to be sure I was pleased with the style and shape. I really appreciated that as well. I adored her, and I was so thrilled with the experience that I am definitely going back here exclusively for all my future mani/pedis! read more

First I want to say the only good thing about this place is their staff. They were extremely friendly. I am not a high maintenance person nor am I picky, but I did not have a good experience. I went there for a manicure. I didn't have to wait long to be seen, but the lady took an hour and a half just for a simple manicure. She did a terrible job. It looks like my little sister did them. It does not look professional. I was going to complain, but just decided I would never come back. I didn't want to make a scene. I have been a customer at Orange for roughly 7 years but recently my experience has been that they have terrible customer service. I tip $10 regularly on a $27 dollar service. My regular manicurist has treated me horribly for the past two months for some unknown reason and raised her voice to me when a few nails broke and I had her fix them. Then the man at the desk informed me that, from now on, I'll have to pay for repairs. So much for loyalty and good tipping. I want to have a relaxing time when I get my nails done and not made to feel as though I have done something wrong. I have had quite a few nail services in the past , but nothing compares to the incredible satisfaction I have enjoyed with Chindra at the Orange nail studio. All i can say is that even when the nail polish is removed I have the most luminese, healthy looking nails, and they are Gel overlays! The staff is welcoming and helpful, and the atmosphere is modern, and stylish. Orange Nail studio carries ALL the current O.P.I nail colors, as well as other well known brands. I must add that I suffered a nail injury(slammed in a car door) that resulted in the loss of my nail, they were able to adhere a tip, gel over it and VOILA! no more funky looking finger. Purchased my wife a gift card here for a pedicure. My wife came In 8/23 to use the service. The girl who she had pushed her nail back and caused her pain. The girl tried to blame her and say it was an ingrown toe nail, but my wife had no pain when walking in the door. As the days went on, her toe started to leak green Pus and became inflamed. She has emailed Orange Nails, about this and did not receive any call or anything poor service My wife needs to see a foot dr for this infection that was caused at Orange Nails but no one has gotten back to her. We should not be responsible for a $50 co payment at the foot dr when the problem was caused here.. Bad customer service... why wont anyone call her.. They don't care??? Where is the Customer Service? Board of health might be able to check this place out, since an infection was caused, tools, foot baths don't seem clean read more

In much need of a primping I decided to schedule an appointment at Orange Nail Salon, for a second time. I had noticed previous that the salon had some decent reviews, so i scheduled a sitter(til hubby got home) figuring I could have my nails brought back to life before a much needed "date night" with my husband. Arrived On time, where I was told to "pick out a color", i mentioned I toted one with me. Salon wasnt the "gleaming" esthetic I had read about in Yelp reviews- a bit dirty/chaotic/sloppy, actually. Although, I figured I may be expecting a higher standard seeing as though I am familar with the States DPL business guideline. Regardless, at 4:45pm,15 mintues after my scheduled appmnt, I was told that I would have to wait another 25-30 minutes "there are only 2 ladies who are qualified for "gel". Declined,I walked out. A similiar story for a week earlier-As I was a walk in, I didnt expect to be seen immediately. I waited for 30 min. Please, just tell me if you dont have any availibiliy, rather than offering me a hopeful 10 min wait time. I did call the salon twice hoping, in all honesty, that they would offer me a consolation for being inconvenienced-"Manager wasnt going to be available until Monday between the hours of 2 and 3". Thought: that seems precise, considering that they have a difficult time keeping track of their appoinment book. General overview; Orange nail salon does not care for running a business efficiently. Caring about a womens valuable time. I am a mother, wife and business owner-I schedule appointments for a reason. My Advise to "Orange" is to value the installation of time. Very disappointed with my visit here. They ran about 15 minutes late from my appointment, which typically not a big deal for me, but I was the only person there. Once we started, they began removing my gel polish. They do so by soaking your fingers in a solution of warm acetone which takes forever and dried out my fingers. After soaking for nearly 30 minutes the girl comes over to scrap off the gel. Instead of using a tool she used her own finger nails to scrap it off, during which she cut my skin several times. Once she removed the polish (well some of it, i had uneven gel scraps still on when i left) She began filing my nails extremely poorly. They we uneven, poorly shaped and on some she ripped the nail jagged and left it and told me she'd go grab the polish. By this point I was done and let them know I had to go. They told me I could pay for the entire service including the gel polish (that we hadnt even gotten to) and come back later. I said no thanks and asked for my total. $30.00 later for the worst manicure of my life, I won't be back. read more

Just left their salon 10 minutes ago. Second time in 5 years and I work in the Cummings Center. The first time I went, I was less then impressed with my pedicure. It was just ok and overpriced. 5 years later, I decided to give it another try as I had my lunch hour to get a quick shellac and my regular salon Hawaii Nails was booked. First things first, there was nowhere to place my coat aside from laying it over the back of a couch. This is why coat racks are created. Secondly, the charge listed everywhere was $30 for the gel manicure which is $5 more than I usually pay and get a great gel manicure and a lengthy hand massage. When you get to the register, the owner quoted $33. "Why $33?" She replies that because I chose to use an O.P.I. nail polish. What?? Nowhere on the website or the written menu does it state this extra charge. The technician did a good job on cleaning up my cuticles and shaping my nails, but the massage lasted literally 4-5 seconds per hand. There are no desk lights so it's hard to see what your nails even look like when you are finished. I will not be returning nor will I suggest this place to the many people I talk to on a daily basis who are already in the Cummings Center. Don't get scammed like I did. Basically for an extra $3, she probably just lost numerous potential clients. read more

absolutely horrible experience. rude, incompetent receptionist. had an appt,, arrived on time and checked in. told to puck a polish and sit down about 5 ft away from her.. after waiting 20 minutes asked when i could expect to get handled. she acted like she had never seen me and aid she needed to check me in....i reminded her she had already done that, she then looked around and picking the person closest to her-who was already doing a manicure-announced she would help me in 5 minutes. i pleasantly pointed out that she was just starting to work on the customers cuticles so that wasn't accurate. this went back and forth a bit and finally she outright lied to me. while all of tis is going on, the owner is not 10 feet away, can hear every word and chooses not to do anything. neither apologized and the receptionist had such a condescending attitude it was beyond offensive. she was clearly annoyed that i was pointing out her inconsistencies--actually her lies--and didn't just sit down and shut up. i have been having manicures and pedicures for 30 years. in all that time i have never been treated like this by any one or any salon. read more
