All the girls at Orange Nail Studio are absolutely wonderful! I have been going to them for years, and it was a no brainer that I would also book them to get my nails done for my wedding. My husband also got a mani/pedi, and they did the girl's nails for my sister-in-law's wedding. I am extremely particular, and I trialed different colors many times the year leading up to the wedding. They give great advice and were extremely patient with me! I love that they don't use tools to take off old gel, and it is a noticeable difference. my nails have never been stronger. The best thing about this place is that the girls absolutely will not speak their foreign language in the presence of clients. Let me start off by saying I hate going to nail salons because it usually takes forever to be seen. So I really like the fact that Orange Nail Studio is adequately staffed, which is a huge deal in my book. I don't want to wait 20 minutes to be seen after I've already made an appointment. Also, they are very clean! They never use the same file twice, they actually gave me the file and buffer they used on me and if I bring it back I get rewards points. What salon do you know does that? I love it. I hate going to nail salons but this positive experience has changed my mind! I went in for a regular manicure, and after a very short consultation, my nail tech V recommended a gel manicure, since it lasts much longer. I also love that they have a 14 day guarantee, and they also told me to come in if I'm not satisfied and they would be happy to assist me. The staff here is extremely nice and they make an effort to get to know you. By the end of my visit all the girls that I spoke with knew my name. They were also very polite, and complimented the color I chose. Which I didn't like at first but I am staring at it right now and I am loving it! I especially love their rewards program! I had a trip to visit my boyfriend, and I needed some nail TLC before I left. I went and got a pedicure and also a manicure, with a full set of acrylics with gel on top. I've never tried the gel before. First off, the decor is very nice and welcoming. There seems to be a ton of regulars there, and the nail technicians seem to know everyone that comes in the door which is nice. They have a pretty good selection of polishes. The girls are very nice and attentive. I did not like the gel because the girl messed up the line so the white line was way too thick. It took like 30 minutes to wait for an opening, then it took about an hour and half to two hours for my nails and feet. I like that they have an orange nail studio card, which if you get like 10 visits you get one free, or something like that. I haven't went back since I did not like how my nails were done and I didn't have time to go back to get it fixed. I would go back and try them again though. It was pretty pricey for what I received. I have no issue with spending money as long as what I am requesting is done right. read more

Absolutely awful should get zero stars. I don't even know where to start. Everywhere I go i get square shaped with matte top coat REGULAR POLISH. Tell me how lady told me they can only do that with Gel polish. I'm like ok fine I'll just put the matte top coat i have at home cause apparently my house has more things then this salon. Then she took three tries to correctly put my middle finger nail. Then i asked her to do a heart design she said she couldn't do a simple heart unless it was gel obviously trying to get me to spend more. So by this point im pissed. But then she goes on without cutting my cuticles or cleaning off my dead skin. Then she doesn't put the powder on correctly mind you this powder wouldn't even stick to the brush so it must have been a cheap brand. Then when i ask her how much this would cost (acrylic full set regular) she said $55! Mind you i could get gel for that price anywhere! Not the worse part she then says it's usually and extra $5 to paint the nail. LADY THATS YOUR JOB TO PAINT NAILS AND IT ISN'T INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. And as you can see she cut my pinky nail skin because she kept trying to file my nail into my skin after i told her she can not because it will then cause my skin to grow over my nail (as you can see i have fatter skin around my nails). I told her this and she just continued to file. Im not normally a review person but i can not believe they charged me $90 for this awful job I'd like my money back and i can go somewhere that will actually take care of my nails. The place is in serious need of some cleaning, fresh paint/wall fixes and some wall decor. I got a pedicure and a gel manicure. Pedicure - chair massager didn't work, and the water sat still (what pedicure chair doesn't jet the water?). I asked to cut my nails down, she did them so short they are to the beds. The hot towel was barely warm. The massage was about 2 minutes at most. Got my toes done first and I thought I'd have a portable dryer for my toes while doing my nails, nope. Air dry it is then. Manicure - water to put my hands in was cold. I asked for warmer water and was met with a *sigh*. No conversation, so I talked to the woman next to me. Only plus was my hands were polished perfectly! Price was kinda high at $63 for both. Where I normally get my nails done it's about $65 - but that's with a hot stone spa pedicure. Although this is super convenient, I will not be going back. After less than a week my polish is already peeling and chipping. Disappointed. read more

I normally go across the street to Jenny's Nails, but they were booked solid. I called Orange to see if they could squeeze me in for a pedicure last minute and they were more than willing to accommodate. Everyone in there was incredibly friendly and I think at least 5 of the girls working asked to hold my baby. I appreciated the friendliness toward my baby, as I was a bit concerned about how they would respond to me bringing a baby along. The staff did an excellent job, double checking that I was satisfied every step of the way. They even sent me home with the nail file and buffer they used (as they do not reuse them!) a nice touch. I was even more impressed with the way they dealt with the high maintenance customer seated next to me. I think she recruited every employee in there to get her chair to a position that was "just right" before she would begin. I felt annoyed for the people working there, but they didn't even blink (or roll) an eye at all of her requests. 30$ for a classic pedicure- not bad. Great value. read more

This is by far, the best nail salon in the area. I found this salon in May when I was still employed at the Cummings Center and loved it from the moment I walked in. The decor is minimalistic and very clean. The staff is super friendly and accomodating and they have all of the newest OPI nail colors. Chindra has remembered me every time I have been back & does a fantastic job. I get acrylic nails with a gel top coat. My nails are perfect everytime I leave her. They last almost 3 weeks and she remembers exactly what I like. The pedicures are luxorious and pampering with out being expensive. I love the magazine selection, the comfy massage chairs and especially the hot towels and foot and calf massage. The waxing is great as well. This past Saturday I went in and needed to have my old nails removed, a full french set put on, a full pedicure and an eye brown wax- in an hour and a half or less. Orange nails was soooo accadating- while I was receiving my pedicure, the owner removed my old nails. My wax was painless & quick and two girls helped with my nails to get me out in my alotted time. I don't like going to the Cummings Center because the layout is nonsensical and it takes an extra 10 minutes to find businesses inside ghe buildings. However, this salon is right out front to the left of Acapolcos in the 950 building and easy to find if you can see the sign hiding behind a tree in the warmer months. I made an appointment for an express mani and pedi, and they took me a few minutes early which was awesome. The woman doing my nails was always asking me if everything was looking/feeling okay and she was very kind, asking if this was for a special occasion. For about 36$ I have great looking nails! She even suggested to put a bit of sparkle over one nail on each hand, and complimented the color that I brought with me. I don't get my nails done often, but the price here is extremely fair after looking up other prices at local salons, and the service was quick and thorough. I received a gift card to Orange Nail for Christmas and finally used it a few weeks ago. I went in for a pedicure and a brow wax. The pedicure was excellent, although I the atmosphere was a little loud, it was very clean and all of the staff was very friendly and attentive. I don't remember who did my pedicure but she did a very good job. The chairs were comfortable, a good selection of color and a nice pedi. The brow wax was not very good. The girl was very nice and pleasant but a couple of things that were not good about the experience: First, she used the wax that requires a strip over it to peel - not that great and made the top of my eyebrows break out for over a week (and my skin is not overly sensitive). Second, and this was the big one, she waxed off my natural arch!! It was so bizarre, I was in shock. I have a very prominent, obvious natural arch and she waxed it right off! Luckily it grew back in a few weeks, but if you do go in I would just be sure to make very clear ahead of time what you want done. I thought it was obvious that I wouldn't want my natural arch removed, but I guess it's partly on me for not communicating that up front. Every time I try a new nail salon that someone else raves about, I'm disappointed because it chips and peels in less than 2 weeks. Nobody does gel nail polish as well as all of the staff at Orange. The staff was warm and friendly upon arrival even though I was late to my appointment. I have been here twice in past 6 months. Had pedicure both times, manicure one time. The people are very pleasant but wow soooooo slow. My pedicure last time took over an hour. I've been here a few times and have had a similar experience each time. Most recently I brought my daughter with me for mani/pedis. The pedicure was nice for the both of us. When it came to my nails, I was originally going to just to a gel manicure and a small design on one finger. I showed my nail tech the picture and we were good to go. A few minutes into her doing my cuticles she recommended I get tips so my nails will be longer like in the picture and that it would look nice. I said okay and told her I would do tips with acrylic, but I would like them on the shorter side due to the fact I use my hands at work. Once the tips were on she then started putting my fingers in dip powder. I was a little confused since we just talked about what we were going to do and she started telling me she needed to do the dip due to me wanting tips. This didn't really make sense at all to me because I've been getting tips with acrylic throughout my life. She was telling me my nails will break off if I don't do dip. Mind you as we are discussing this she has now gotten the dip on all of my fingers. Another women who works there heard us talking and came over to see what was going on. I told her I was confused why I was getting dip when I asked for acrylic. By this time the tech started putting the gel on top of the dip. The 2nd women who came over said "oh yeah we could have done this color you want in gel but in dip powder". I was so thrown off because 1. I never asked for dip. 2. If you could do the color I want in dip and you insist I need dip for the integrity of my nails, why wouldn't you do the color I want in dip instead of making me do dip and gel and charging me extra for that added gel? The whole thing was just uncomfortable and I was not happy with how they made that decision for me and openly admitted that they basically were just trying to get more money out of me. When it came time for the design (literally all I wanted was 1 heart on 1 nail on my left hand) and the tech said let me do 2 fingers it will look nice but I'll only charge you for 1 nail design since it's just 2 small hearts. Anyways my bill was 168$ before tip !!! For a kids mani pedi (35) and my gel pedicure (50) and who the hell knows how they got that amount for my nails! I was pissed! I felt bad because the lady took a long time on my nails so I of course tipped her but it left such a bad taste in my mouth. It has now been a week and my dipped gel nails are chipping in some places and she also didn't do enough coats of color because they are blotchy in most areas. It really sucks because I love this salon is near home and the women are nice but situations like this have happened to me a couple times here. They should definitely give receipts and explain things before doing them to clients and making sure clients are ok with what they are doing and pricing before doing it and making the decision for them. I'm very unhappy. It's only been a week and my nails look horrible and need to get done again! :( read more

Three things I look for when I go get my nails done: very clean place, great manicurist, decent price. Soo I only been to orange nail couple times. The girl that did my nails name soLida. She is excellence!!! She gave me the best feet massage ever... Very gentle, friendly.This place super clean. Also the price is reasonable. I don't know where some of these glowing reviews are coming from, but my experience was anything but glowing. On a whim I scheduled two pedicures for my boyfriend and I. The scheduling process was easy over the phone, so I was hoping for a really professional experience when I arrived. This was so not the case. Getting there I noticed how shabby the place looked. It seemed like it hadn't been properly cleaned in weeks, and there was a ton of stuff just piled up. I was told to pick out a color from a very limited amount of nail polishes which were displayed in a really unorganized way on this weird multi shelved unit. When the woman came over to show us to our seats she never offered to show us where to hang our coats. My boyfriend left his on and I settled on leaving mine on an abandoned chair nearby. The man who works the register came over and literally picked it up and examined it, like running his hands all over it before asking if it was the technicians coat. When I spoke up and said it was mine he was like OH! okay I'll stick this over here. It was just awkward. The water was borderline cold and there was no jet action. The cleaning and shaping of the nails was decent, nothing special. There was no consistency with the pedicures. We both experienced something completely different even though we were both paying for the exact same thing. I got a bit of a massage on my lower legs and feet, while he got some weird toe-pulling. We both felt cheated out of the best part of a pedicure, which is the exfoliation and massage, which is detailed out on their website. I honestly thought we were getting the express pedicure because it was so quick. While we waited for my toes to dry we noticed the same technicians who had just rushed through our pedicures, were taking great lengths to do each other's nails. Right in front of us! I always believe in leaving a good tip, especially when it comes to stuff like this, but I honestly couldn't bring myself to leave a dollar. The service and experience was just horrible. This is one of my favorite places in the world. It is not your typical nail salon. It is sparkling clean and they always have the latest and greatest polishes and new things to try. They had the gel manicures available before I had even heard of them. I have been here countless times, recommend it all the time, and even brought my bridal party here the day before my wedding. Never going back - employees are catty and gossipy! During my pedicure, my technician asked if I liked the color... I said yes & was smiling. Another technician happened to be walking by and said 'why are you laughing.' At first I didn't process it. Then my technician said to me 'she's asking you why you are laughing'. At that point I got annoyed & thought 'why is she talking to a paying customer like that' especially when she's not working on me - we're not friends, you don't know me on that level. I replied to my technician, 'I wasn't laughing, I was smiling at my color'. Then it just became uncomfortable - my sister was with me and got wind of it. She confronted the girl saying 'do you have something to say to my sister' to which the girl said "no" & they tried to play it off like it was a joke. They never once apologized for causing the uncomfortable scene. So much for customer service. We should have walked out at that point. Instead we went on to have our manicures. At one point my technician asked me 'what's wrong' (first I can't smile, now I'm expected to smile) I said 'nothing' to which she replied 'oh I thought I was hurting you'. A simple 'Am I hurting you' would have been better. The male receptionist spent the entire time talking to a friend about lotto tickets & laughing loudly. If you're looking for a relaxing, spa experience don't go here. Maybe if they had a real manager on duty to see what is really going on, they wouldn't have unprofessional incidents like this. I have been to this place many times, I started by taking a little girl I was mentoring as a special treat. The staff was always so kind to us even though we literally came in to get a polish change and spent almost no money. Then I came in for a mani/pedi and it was fabulous. Great service, super friendly, and I was a walk in! Even though they couldn't get me in right away they worked me in. I have never had a regular manicure last that long, and my pedicure is still going strong weeks later. I loved how friendly everyone was,and that it took over an hour and a half which makes me feel like they took their time. I will keep coming back. read more

Went here for a manicure as a birthday gift, went back for the Orange pedicure (42.00) and a brow wax. The water was cold and not clean, the 45-60 minute pedicure was done in 30 minutes, there was nail polish on my toe skin... massage was horrible...then I got my eyebrow waxed and the chair to lay on had NO paper over it and was dirty from everyone's shoes prior to me. I told her I had sensitive skin so she had to not use alcohol... which she proceeded to do after... My eyebrows were swollen and itchy and broke out for 2 days. I get a gel manicure about every 2, 2 1/2 weeks. I've been looking for a new salon that's easier to get to with my hectic schedule, and came across Orange on yelp and thought I'd give it a try. I dropped by on my way to work last Friday afternoon without an appointment. Even though the salon was moderately busy, they fit me in. The manicure itself (shaping, cuticles, etc) was good and thorough, but I'm very disappointed in the gel experience. They have a decent amount of gel color choices, but they point out that the OPI brand, which comprises half of their selection, is more expensive. I've never seen that at other salons. So I deliberately chose a non-OPI color to avoid the charge. The UV lamp that you have to stick your hand in to cure the polish was also really tiny and looked pretty messy on the outside. You have to cure your thumb separately, which I though was weird and mildly annoying. It wouldn't have been so bad, but when I put my fingers in the lamp, there was something sticky in there. I pulled my hand out and mentioned it and my manicurist told me to put my hand back in. I showed her that I had nasty goopy stuff on my fingers and she shrugged and put my hand back in the lamp. After it was done she tried to pick the stuff off my fingers and it took a long time to come off. At no point did they try to clean the lamp or give me a new one to use. Very frustrating. Then at the end they ended up charging me for the more expensive polish that I purposefully avoided. I was so frustrated I didn't properly inspect my manicure and later noticed that the polish on 3 of my nails dried wrinkly and wavy and looks horrible. This place might be good for other services, but certainly not for gel manis and I won't be back. read more

Was given a couple GC's so I decided to give them a try. Had a manicure on the first visit. Had to wait 35 mins for my scheduled appt. I still had a GC left so I made an appt for a Mani/Pedi. Had to wait 15 mins this time. I questioned the woman whether the gel would ruin my nails, as a I had heard it would and was told it would "make my nails stronger". Well, it peeled a layer off my nails after soaking in Acetone as recommended to remove. Nails are now soft and brittle and have to wait for it to grow out and become healthy again. Also, worst pedicure I have ever had. And...I got a nice fungus. Not happy and will never go back! read more

This was my first time at Orange. From walk-in to walk-out it was a great experience. It wasn't very busy (3:30pm on Weds afternoon) which was nice. The atmosphere was calm and the staff was very welcoming. It felt funny to me that on my first visit it wit like I had been going there for several years. I already made my second appt.
