Made an appointment in person 1 month ago. Going to a wedding. Showed up for appt. and was told (after 4 times trying to understand what the man was saying) that my appt had been canceled. I did not cancel it. They offered no help. A very lovely customer offered to give up her appt for me but I was so upset at how unprofessional and unkind they were that I did not want to support their business. I left and went to another salon, no appt. The other salon was very busy but saw how upset I was and fit me in. $100 dollar tip went to the nice technician who did my nails, professionally and friendly. My advice to others-if you are needing a nail appointment for an important day DO NOT depend on Cape Ann Nails. read more

Was at work in Gloucester for the day and I decided to get a pedicure on my lunch. Very nice people working here and my pedicure felt wonderful. The woman told me to sit under the fan UV thing for 3-4 minutes and I sat for 8 and now my toenails are all messed up not even an hour later. It sucks to pay $33 and then have to get your nails done again because it didn't work. read more

I've been going this whole summer. Today I went for a fill after one week because someone else did my nails at the same place but did a bad job and couple nails broke. The guy that does my nails always does an amazing job but I'm never going back. He charged me for the two nails that broke, he charged me for filing them down a little and he also charged me for the shimmer he put on top! I also got charged 45 dollars for just a gel color on my toes without even doing a pedicure! $100 total for that! I'm never going again! They just lost me as a customer, my mom, and my sister for doing that and it's to bad because I live right across the street. They act as if they're the only nail salon in Gloucester. My friend and I stopped in on a Thursday afternoon to get our nails done. This place is nothing special, and it definitely has a strong chemical smell, but that's to be expected at most salons. Terrible place be aware! If i could give them a zero I would. They are rude ignorant and unprofessional nail techs. They messed up on my nails which was a basic gel polish twice. I didn't go back the first time but I did go the second time. I had my nails for 3 days and all the polish was lifting off my nail bed. I have long skinny fingers with a long nail bed. So I don't know how he messed it up outside of he got his license through a cereal box. Second time I asked him to fix it at no charge because it was his error! He was rude, abrupt, and rough with my hands. He made me feel like it was my fault! He Clearly showed he was pissed was about doing it over. Poor service!!! Now if he was apologetic and right his wrongs I would have never wrote this. I feel it was poor customers and rude for them to take their error out on the customer when all I did was pay him for a service that he did not do correctly. Got a pedicure here today and it was the BEST pedicure I have ever gotten. Not only did my toenails come out great, but they gave an awesome, thorough massage too! Most places lack on the luxorius part of the pedicure and just want to get it overwith. But this was complete with exfolient, oil, and a hot stone massage! It's a bit of a far drive for me, but I will definitely be making the trip back here when I feel like pampering myself! read more

I always get consistently good manicures and pedicures at Capeann. Their gel manicures are particularly great -- always well done and they last longer than gel manis I've gotten at other salons. Everyone who works there is good at what they do. I almost always just walk in for an appointment, knowing whichever stylist is available will do an excellent job. It's not the fanciest-looking salon, but I'd rather get great mania/pedis at a reasonable price, than a spa ambiance! read more

Went here for a spa pedicure and it was absolutely amazing. I wanted a full gel set on my fingernails but they said they only had the shalack (sorry for misspellings) and I explained how I wanted real gel, so then they showed me the acrylic and I again said I wanted gel, not the shalack gel polish or acrylic (i work in a pizza shop and need something that will last better, I had already tried out the shalack before and it was just like having regular polish.) Finally we agreed on the fact that they don't have gel (there was confusion throughout this whole conversation, which is fine but I had a sense they were talking to me rudely but figured I was overreacting) well I wasn't! I ran across the street to use the atm to leave a tip and they kept talking about me and laughing (as told by my girlfriend who I was there with) and then had the nerve to say to her "you need to tell your friend she's wrong" to which she replied "no you guys just don't offer what she wants" and the woman laughed and said "oh are you a nail technician too?" Sarcastically. No pedicure is good enough to have me go back to these insanely unpleasant people. read more

They do a scrub, hot stone massage, and regular massage on your legs and feet in addition to all the things you would expect, all for $28! I went to get my nails done with my sister and a friend at Capeann Nails & Spa yesterday. The two of my friends got seated within 5 minutes of each other and I was waiting to go next. However, two other women came in separately after me and they were BOTH seated before me. My guess is that the workers were friendly with them or they were their regulars. I am also 17 years old which really bothered me because I highly doubt they would have done the same to an adult customer which is wrong. I was very disappointed with this especially because I the two other girls I went with had to wait about 20 mins for me to be done with my nails! They shouldn't prioritize the regulars because if I hadn't had this experience I most likely would continue to go there. I was astonished that they did that and I was very unhappy with their service. However my nails came out good, but because of my experience there, I will not go back there again. read more
