Nailgic - Nail Salons Near Me - Gloucester, Massachusetts

I had a pedicure and the nail technician did a fantastic job with close attention to details.

I have been here and had a great manicure but most recent visit I had a pedicure. I wanted French polish and it came out as a smudged mess. The woman had no idea what she was doing. A second woman came over and attempted to fix it which only made it worse as it needed to be done completely over. Also, the young woman at the desk looked like she could have cared less about customers. Never again. read more

Excellent pedicure! Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Clean and comfortable setting.

Service is just.....So bad..... No words for this place; wasting time and Money..., If you only want something Basic, you get no more than basic, perfect!!! read more

Ugh miss the old owners. Booked pedi and gel. I was booked with one person so asked for pedicure to start.. nope gel.. Had 2 different people. My gel was done nicely by second girl. Pedicure hot mess. Again a THIRD person assigned.. a guy who seemed a bit clueless.. No idea how to cut, no cuticles, only buffed right foot toes.. no Real sloughing and on and on.. Place seems dirty now too. Sad hopefully they can improve. read more

I was in dire need of a mani and pedi before my trip to Mexico. I made an appointment online for the spa pedicure, gel manicure and eye brow wax. When I arrived to the appointment, MiMi greeted me with a big smile and a wonderful welcome. She asked me if I had ever tried the dip powder nails, I hadn't, and she encouraged me to try it as they last longer. I agreed, and then also added a half leg wax to my long list of needs! I started at the pedicure station with May. She was very friendly! The chairs aren't massage chairs, but I actually prefer that. They were very comfortable and very very "homey". The foot bath doesn't have jets (HUGE plus, jets get very grimey). The foot bath was lined with plastic for cleanliness and there were some essential oils in the water. I was able to choose my herbal mix for the herbal scrub (I chose rosemary and eucalyptus). The pedicure was fantastic, the herbal scrub was to die for and the hot towels and hot stones were wonderful! Oh, my toes also looks great too! Then I went to the manicure station, also with May. All tools used were super clean and just opened. The dip powder was great and very simple! It looks fantastic! MiMi brought be back to the spa room for the eyebrow wax and half leg wax. She was kind, quick and professional. No complaints! She told me she has been waxing for almost 9 years and you can tell! She also looked at my nails and noticed some imperfections I NEVER would have noticed. After the wax, she kindly has May fix them for me! My experience was beyond wonderful and I am so happy to have found this new salon. The location is easy to get to and there is TONS of easy parking. read more

Amazing employees & prices! Such a great atmosphere I will def be back!! thank you all

Inadequate pedicure and big wait time. Callous removal not vigorous enough. Too expensive for quality of service

I called to make an appointment and was surprised I could get one day of. I expected a great amount of toxic nail fumes in the air upon arrival but surprisingly it was controlled and I could breathe for once . I was asked to hand sanitize before I could begin my services and check in for a regular gel manicure and pedicure. The lightbulbs and decor was very simple, clean and bright. The pedicure chairs were cute and minimal with a little pillow. Not your average massage chair but I usually do not like them on anyways because they just never really hit the right spots and they always end up making me more sore if anything. The manicure stations/booths were able to be adjusted further out or in for those with short or long arms and with a couple of more pillows for comfort. The polishing was glossy and fully coated nicely. The pressure of the massage was not too hard and I appreciate the cuticle pushing and trimming. My hands and feet felt refreshed. I was asked probably 4 times if I am satisfied with my service since I'm not much of a talker myself when I'm trying to relax before I go home to my zoo. The pricing is not too bad for the service I received. Probably average 2-3 dollar less than most salons I've been to for some of the services they offer (More or less). But hey, you do pay for what you get. The time that I came was in the late afternoon so it was pretty busy with almost every station occupied. This review is just based on my first impression. But I want to come back another time and try their other services. Pedicure: 8/10 Manicure: 9/10 Color variations: 9/10 Cleanliness: 8/10 Price: 8/10 read more

Their COVID measures are top notch--distancing, screens, Hans sanitizer, and their already great standard of cleaning. The salon is bright and welcoming with a great color selection. I love the herbal spa pedicure. I haven't gotten anything but a great dip manicure here. Everyone is so nice. Kate did my nails in this picture, and she's great! read more

This place was recommended to me by a friend so I didn't look at the reviews prior, wish I had now. I booked my apt online for 11:45 and it said I would be there from 11:45-12:30. I was waiting for 30 minutes before anyone even started my nails. My nail beds are also raw to the touch now from my nail tech going up to far with the drill. I didn't end up leaving the salon until 1:30, an hour after I was supposed to which made me miss another apt I had planned. I would have asked for a discount but I hate confrontation too much so I just left disappointed, probably will not be returning. read more

I wish I could give a more informed review but, the receptionist pretty much told me that I was lying about having an appointment. I called two days before and they told me to come in on Wednesday at 1pm. All they did was take my name. I show up and they don't have my name in the system. Guy at the desk says that there's no way I have an appointment if I didn't give my phone number, and that they had no way to accommodate me. No apologies, nothing. Funny thing is, I'm pretty sure he's the one I talked to on the phone! I simply walked out because I didn't want to make a big stink. It really kinda screwed up my day, and I had finally taken the time to do something nice for myself, it isn't just about the nails. But seriously, train your staff to do their job correctly, and try to accommodate when things go wrong on YOUR PART. Luckily, I was able to get in at main st nails and they got me in within a half an hour and done beautifully. Go there instead! read more

Awesome! Mia did a great job with my daughter's nails! My young daughter received a Christmas gift to get her nails done. She came in with a VERY specific request for Mia..."blue, sparkle with palm trees". Mia was awesomely patient and gave my daughter exactly what she wanted. Great nail salon with great pricing. Super happy we went! read more

Very rude - I'm new to dips and I thought it was an acrylic refill. When the lady realized it should be a dip, she was complaining, told me 9 times it was a dip not acrylic and even spelled d-i-p.!!! I told her I could not believe she was spelling it for me and she said sorry in a sarcastic tone! Unbelievably rude!!!! Never going back! read more

I got gel X extensions here and I've been before for the same service and loved the results. Today I am so disappointed that I'm going to another salon to have them removed same day. I hate leaving poor reviews but I just can't fathom this happening to another paying customer. I asked the tech to please cut them short but she kept telling me she couldn't go shorter because she had to file them. My left and right hand ended up being two different lengths and shapes. Mind you, they are still VERY LONG. Three of my nails are crooked and one cuticle is bleeding. I also have an absurd amount of glue under my nails. Paid and tipped but will not be back here. read more

I had a great experience here and better looking nails than I have had in a long time. Very skilled and fast which I always appreciate

I had to give another 5 star review! I brought my 88 year old mother in law to have a pedicure! Kim was so great with her- kind, gentle and absolutely the best pedicure she has gotten. Her toenails were a MESS, needless to say! They haven't been able to get short, but Kim got it done! Everyone was kind and caring to her. When we left she asked to go back again! Thank you! read more

Super friendly, bubbly staff. Not to knock other local salons, but this is noticeably the cleanest place in town. They ask throughout your treatments if you are satisfied with how they are shaping, how your color is coming out, etc. One time I had to come back to have a nail fixed, and the next time I came in the ladies made a point to ask how the fix had held up. Nice incentive to pay cash as they offer a punch card for a free mani. Great spot! read more

I've never gotten gel extensions but heard they were lighter and more flexible which is definitely true because I've done a few things expecting to look down and have a broken nail but these have held up amazing. I'm very rough on my nails but these have impressed me so much I might make the trip back to this salon even though I'm an hour and a half away. The artists were welcoming and were great at helping me form my ideas. Took their time and made sure I was happy every step of the way. They're also very transparent about their prices which I appreciated. Wish they were closer to me ! read more

So disappointed with new owners at Nailgic. The once immaculate nail salon is now dirty, no name tags on staff, no hand sanitizer and place is messy. I will not be going back read more

Clean. Immaculate. Which is all that matters to me. Be clear on what you want and relax. The only place on Cape Ann to go to.

i would never recommend this salon ever! i went there in a thursday for a manicure gel with extension and pedicure. $86. within 24 hours a nail came completely off and i had an infection on my foot. woke up friday morning to find the top of my foot red, swollen and hot to the touch. called my doctor and have an appointment tomorrow to go in to have it checked and was told it sounds like an infection. i called the salon and the manager said it must be something i did after i left the salon. i literally came home that day and didn't leave until i woke up to this situation. further action will be taken against this salon!! read more

This place is amazing. We are so lucky to have a reliable nail salon in Gloucester with talented staff who offer excellent services! I go here twice a month for wax and mani/pedi. I've basically tried every nail salon in the north shore and this is the place for your needs. I highly recommend all services, esp waxing. I have extremely thick hair that grows fast and they really know what they're doing. Mani and pedi are top notch. All staff are talented in what they do. The woman at the front desk is always so nice too! Operations and service are A+ read more

Gave this place a second chance because I heard their pedicures were great. Picture says a thousand words. read more

This is the ONLY place on the north shore that takes off gel and dip the correct way without ruining your nail bed. I'm always very happy with my manicures when I go here. The girls are meticulous and take their time. I don't understand why the reviews are so bad. OH AND THEY ACTUALLY LAST. read more

This place is great!!! I've been there twice now, and left very pleased both times. I will definitely be returning in the future. Nice staff, good prices, and quality service. Highly recommend! read more

Excellent place. They care about nail health and have a great selection of colors in both dip and gel. I would highly recommend it

Literally worst place I've been to. Went here once before to get my nails done. My nails broke in half not even after 3 days and were bleeding like crazy. I decided to give them another chance (not with my nails, never doing that again) but I came in to get my eyebrows done. I came in on time. And they put me in a room and I waited there for 35 minutes before deciding to leave. They said sorry they took someone before me. Worst nail place I've ever been to. read more

LOVE Nailgic. Very clean, aesthetically pleasing, many color choices, great service. I always go to Mimi and she takes her time even when it's busy. I'm very very picky with my nails and she does exactly what I ask for every time I go in. 10/10 recommend!!! read more

I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately, the quality of their gel manicures is NOT good. I got my first gel manicure there and it lasted 7 days (ok but should be longer). I then tried to give them another shot and the second time my manicure started peeling the 1st day after I got them done so I went back and they fixed it for free which was nice, but now 4 days after and the same nail is peeling and another nails polish came completely off. For the price this should last at least 2 weeks. Never going again. read more

I have no idea how this place only has 3 stars. This is by far the best nail salon I've ever been to. I always get compliments on my nails! Not only do they do a great job, but they actually care about your nail health. I'm so happy I found this place! read more

Nailgic - Ombré Dip - Nail Salons Near Me - Gloucester, Massachusetts

Mimi and her team are AMAZING! First of all this is a most B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L salon - so bright, pretty and clean. No expense was spared when Nailgic was being built and i have seen many improvements made in the almost 2 years they have been open. COVID measures are in place and everyone is very cautious and mindful of protocol - always. Mimi takes such great pride in her business, she is an incredibly smart and attentive young small business owner who is doing a fantastic job. She sets very high standards in her work and services, in fact she brings that personal touch to all she does. PLUS she listens to ideas and acts! All services from nails to feet to face are excellent. Everyone who works there is GREAT whether it be a technician or reception. Next time you want to pamper yourself and have a special experience - try Nailgic, you won't be disappointed! read more

I went here for the second time in a row because Cindy did such a great job! My dip polish lasted so long and looked perfect. I had such a fun time with her, super nice and a very friendly environment! read more

Tried at least 3 times and my dip would last a week before chipping or popping off. It looks so nice inside just not a very skilled staff.

Mimi is wonderful and this place is sparking clean. I almost never get my nails done because I don't like the smell and worry about germs but I'd recommend this place for a quick, clean, and calm experience. read more

My first visit here we had an appointment at 5:30. My feet were soaking in the water for 40 minutes before I was even touched. I was also with 3 other family members so everyone was ahead of me while I remained soaking. Then - my mom had booked a gel manicure and received a regular manicure instead. The owner was able to redo them as the mani/pedi's were for my brothers wedding but we were still charged for the mistake. Very disappointed, we ended up being there for 2 hours. My toenails are also all uneven and the polish application was very sloppy. read more

I had a deluxe pedicure by May and a dip powder manicure by Mimi. 4 days later and my nails still looks great. My favorite parts of the pedicure was the option to choose my aroma (I chose muscle tension relief) and the hot stone leg massage. Felt so good and relaxing. Mimi was meticulous with her work and I appreciate the attention. My nails looks pretty and I get compliments often. I highly recommend Nailgic! Check them out read more

Clean and new and large nail salon. My pedicure took 15 min from start to me being finished under the foot dryer . I had a lady named Kim . I asked her to add more hot water for my pedicure because the water was cool but she ignored me so then the other nail technician repeated my request to her and she still ignored it. Ok I should of gotten up then but I believe in giving people a chance. I thought maybe she didn't speak English and didn't understand but no I realized she did. I figured out that she squeezed me in since the girl at the desk was calling trying to back people up. I would of gone back at a later time if I had known that. I was looking for a relaxing pedicure but I got a total rush job. She even only did one coat of polish which I questioned her on and she said she did two. When I was checking out the cashier asked if I had a classic pedicure. I laughed and said no it was an ultra express one . She ignored my comment. So I payed her and left her a much smaller tip This morning I'm looking at my pedicure and see all the skin around my toes and felt that I need to give a review since Gloucester already has many other great nail salons, this was not the best pedicure or experience. But if you need an express pedi go to this place. read more
