We visit here after my friend's wedding. I regret why I finally get to know here.. wonderful view. Super athenthic service from server. Forgot his name though he is really wonderful!! All of the fresh seafoods top! Tomato and burata cheese is one of the best menu too. The dessert is the last party table for us. The vibe is like luxury hotel. I would visit with my family too.

This place is amazing! I really enjoyed everything here and can't wait to go back. First of all, the restaurant is beautiful. Walking in, the entrance is so peaceful with koi fish and plants throughout. The decor is very aesthetic inside with plenty of tables and booths. There are outside seating areas where you have a stunning view from the top as well. I also really like that they have a lounge area right next to the bar where you can eat or enjoy your drink. For food, we ordered the wagyu zabuton, the 24-hour herb roasted prime rib, chilled oysters, and crispy brussels sprouts. My favorite was the wagyu zabuton. So delicious- tender and perfectly seasoned. I loved it and would come back just for this. The prime rib was also really good and it came with a side of broccoli and mashed potatoes. The chilled oysters were yummy but not the best I've had- they were a little on the smaller side. The crispy brussels sprouts were unique as they had a sweet thai sauce and pieces of coconut. I liked their take on brussels sprouts. Besides this, they serve you complimentary corn bread. The corn bread was a little dry but I did enjoy the honey on top and I loved the house chili butter it came with. Their butter is also unique as it's sweet, spicy, and tastes like maple. For drinks, I've tried the white and red sangria, one in a melon, tropical thunder, and berry me softly. My favorites are the tropical thunder and berry me softly. I like fruitier drinks so these were perfect and refreshing. The tropical thunder tastes like a piña colada with pineapple, coconut, lime, and ginger. The berry me softly tastes like strawberries and ginger. The service was also phenomenal. Our server was really nice and checked in every so often. She gave us great recommendations. They only have valet here and it's $10. Overall, this was a wonderful experience.

Seafood tower for two

Beautiful restaurant with amazing view, very romantic. The wait to be seated was quite long. Our reservation was for 6:30pm but didn't get seated until 7:15pm. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The dishes come in big portions. We were pleasantly surprised by the seafood tower for two, the portion could easily feed four people. Husband loved the prime rib, kids really liked the miso butterfish and coconut shrimp. The crispy whole Snapper was impressive in presentation but it was not crispy, favor is just okay. Overall a good experience. Would come back again for special occasion.

My partner and I had such a wonderful experience here celebrating our 6 year anniversary! :) We sat inside with a great view of the outside patio and sunset. Service is amazing and the food is delicious - especially the cornbread and the lobster + shrimp bucatini! The cornbread wasn't too dense at all and had a sweet hot honey glaze, and the bucatini was cooked perfectly with a generous portion of seafood. The roasted half chicken was delicious too - the chicken was very moist and flavorful, and the roasted vegetables were tasty and comforting. Our food came out in no time and our server was so great. I believe her name was Kendra. She was attentive, kind, and super friendly without being overbearing - we got great service while still having our privacy to enjoy the meal! :) She also gave us a complimentary brownie dessert for our anniversary which was so kind. It was so good and had some kind of raspberry syrup on it. Very nice touch to end the evening! Only minor complaint was that it got chilly under the AC where we were sitting and our food got slightly cold, but it didn't bother me too much. Just be sure to bring a jacket if you're sitting inside. Would love to come back for another special occasion. Loved this place :)

Beautiful views, great ambiance, and a solid dining experience! I came to Orange Hill Restaurant for a work event, where we were served a buffet-style meal featuring steak and salmon. Overall, the food was delicious and definitely enjoyable. The sourdough bread was an absolute hit, probably one of my favorite parts of the meal! That said, I think Orange Hill is really more about the vibes, ambiance, and views than the food itself. Everything we had was good, but nothing was particularly amazing or memorable from a culinary standpoint. That being said, the views definitely make it worth coming back. It's a beautiful spot with a great atmosphere, and I'd happily return for the scenery and experience, especially for a special occasion or a nice evening out. Overall: Come for the views, stay for the vibes!

The view was absolutely beautiful, there's definitely no denying that! However we had a reservation for my birthday dinner at 7 and didn't get sat until almost 7:30. The food was fine, the drinks were okay, our waitress was very kind and helpful since it was our first time there, but everything was a bit overpriced for what it was. I can't say we'll be returning but glad we at least got to experience the views.

I am flabbergasted that this restaurant only has 3.6 stars. I flew in from Florida the morning I came here. I had planned to go to Laguna, but after such a long flight, I couldn't make myself sit in the car for another hour. Instead, I looked for a restaurant with a view closer to Anaheim. That's how I stumbled upon this gem. First, the front is gorgeous with water features and a little pond. There is a fireplace out front. The view from inside is amazing with the sunset. It would be a fabulous location for events! (There were two events happening when I came for dinner.) Just note it is valet only! I showed up 15 minutes before my reservation, and I was seated right away. The hostess was very nice. I had mentioned to the hostess that I was starving, and she told my waiter who made sure not to disappoint. Jenner was my waiter, and he was great! He was very attentive and offered me great recommendations, which is probably why my meal was darn near perfect. First, THEY GIVE YOU COMPLIMENTARY HONEY CORNBREAD. When I saw Jenner walking up to my table with that giant hunk of corn mealy goodness I about died of happiness. It was so yummy! For my app, I got the tomato burrata salad. That was the highlight of my meal. (Surprising after how I spoke about the cornbread, no?) This salad comes with a huge ball of burrata on top of a pile of tomatoes, peaches, and fennel. It was sweet, it was creamy, it was herbaceous...it was PERFECTLY refreshing. (Definitely not a one person salad. Trust me.) My entree was the Wild Mushroom Pappardelle Pasta with truffle whipped ricotta and basil. I added chicken since my protein was lacking today. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The pasta was creamy, but the truffle was not in the room with us. I love mushrooms, truffle, and basil, so that was a bummer, but honestly, I can't remove a star for that. I washed this all down with a nice glass of wine, and I left feeling fat and sassy...and with three boxes of leftovers. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach, but if you think I left a morsel of food on that table, think again. Update: I finished the burrata salad and cornbread for breakfast...it was just as good. I wish I had more.

I've dined here several times and have also worked a few events, and I've always had positive experiences. The biggest highlight is, without a doubt, the view. Perched on a hill overlooking the city, it's especially beautiful at sunset and after dark. The scenery alone makes it a wonderful spot for a date night or a special occasion. The food has been consistently enjoyable. The hors d'oeuvres served at the events I've attended were all delicious, and during a previous dinner I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which was excellent. It was cooked just the way I like it, moist and flaky with a firm texture rather than soft and mushy. My only real complaint is the parking. The restaurant uses valet, and I wish there were a self-parking option instead. Personally, I'd rather park my own car than pay for valet when the parking area is right there. It also puts guests in the awkward position of feeling obligated to tip on top of the valet fee. That said, the beautiful setting, great food, and overall atmosphere make this a place I'd gladly return to, especially for a special evening with an amazing view.

Fatemah S.

My friend took me here for a birthday brunch, and we loved the experience. The view was beautiful, you're very high up so it might be a little chilly. The food is decent but the pricing is a bit high. They do offer valet parking. And they gave me a birthday treat which was so nice.

Came here to experience the beauty I was told it had. The view is good, but it would be better without the smog. As you walk in, they have a small bridge path that has Koi Fish underneath the water. We had made a reservation, so the wait was only 5 minutes. The place is simply decorated, nothing stood out, but the view was awesome. The Corn bread was nothing to brag about. We all ordered the steaks, and they were not bad. They have some fancy drinks, but after a couple of drinks not remember the names of them. Our main complaint was that the area we sat in the AC went out, and they said it was on. NO IT WASN'T. They have inside and outside seating . Not a bad place if you like the best view of the city.

Ambiance: Absolutely gorgeous! Reservation required so plan early and get the outdoor seating at the golden hour to enjoy the sunset. Indoor seating is very nice as well. We had a private booth like area. Food: The house corn bread is spectacular! Freshly made from kitchen and when you taste with the pink salt or their house chili butter, it's a whole other level! The prime rib was great and the 50/50 mash that comes with it is amazing as well. On the other hand, the miso marinated sea bass was cooked so well that it melted in your mouth but the black rice is a bit too sweet. Their deserts are just okay, so I'd suggest keep your stomach for a local creamery.

I was tempted to give four stars, but these five stars are for the employees mentioned by name below... We stopped in around 7 PM to enjoy a round of drinks and take in the sunset in the bar area. All the shades were drawn. I approached the bar. There were two bartenders covering the area. One literally walked in the other direction when I approached. She was so obviously dismissive, like she was done for the day. Except she wasn't. She just made an arbitrary decision to not do the basics of her job. A quick "Hello, we will be with you in a minute." seemed like customer service 101. We waited. And waited. Finally the other bartender acknowledged the presence of a customer. In an attempt to be respectful, I asked if we could open the shades at our table prior to doing so. I was told "It's going to be hot but that's fine." 7pm. Restaurant on a hill. Mainly known for its views. All shades drawn. I explained the sun was setting. We pulled open the shades. We sat. We waited. And waited. And then flagged someone down. Fortunately, from here on out the encounters were pleasantly professional. Matt and Cassidy provided us with great customer service. Emma the hostess got the memo and was warm and welcoming. And Alex the valet was so professional and kind... actually all the valet staff we encountered were professional and kind. The aforementioned were the standouts ~ warm, personable, professional, and clearly people who take pride in their work. I especially wanted to recognize them because, in contrast to our initial interactions, they seemed to maintain a sense of professionalism and propriety throughout their entire shift, rather than providing it selectively. I hope management sees this as an opportunity to reinforce a culture of consistency. Hospitality shouldn't feel dependent on who happens to be serving you at a given moment.

Crispy Rice Tuna Tartare

My boyfriend surprised me with a reservation at Orange Hill for my birthday! I had a wonderful time. Our reservation was conveniently made through the OpenTable app. Parking is valet. We were seated promptly at our reservation time of 7:15pm. The restaurant is gorgeous and sits on a hill overlooking the city of Orange. During the summer, there is a breathtaking view of the sunset right at dinnertime. Our server was Ailyn, who was such a sweetheart. She took amazing care of us and went above and beyond to provide us excellent service. Complimentary cornbread is provided, served with a drizzle of honey, Himalayan sea salt, and a cayenne infused butter. The butter is so good and really makes the cornbread shine. I had the "Paid Vacation" cocktail, served in a glass ball swinging on a crescent moon shaped hanger. Everything about this drink from its presentation to its flavors was loud, fun, and summery. You are given a Szechuan flower to nibble on before sipping your drink, numbing your tongue with a mala tingling sensation. The drink itself is vodka based with passionfruit. I loved the tropical taste and playful presentation. This drink is one of four "main character" cocktails that one would order if one desired the attention of the entire room. And it was my birthday, so of course I did. For our appetizers, we got the caviar frites and crispy rice tuna tartare. The caviar frites were perfectly crispy and seasoned. I loved the accompaniments such as the vodka creme fraiche and dollops of caviar. The crispy rice tuna tartare was plated beautifully. The tuna was fresh and spicy, and I loved the crispy rice on the bottom. At this point in our meal, Ailyn advised us to take pictures with the gorgeous sunset on the patio while we waited for our entrees. A small handful of people were doing the same. The sunset was especially breathtaking from our vantage point. I could see every layer of the rainbow embedded in the blazing California sky. I had the filet mignon and added an Atlantic lobster tail. The filet was so tender and juicy. The lobster tail was cooked perfectly. I really liked the side of 50/50 mashed potatoes as well. The mash was extremely creamy and the crispy bits of potato "hay" on top were delicious. I had a lovely experience at Orange Hill. I would definitely come back.

Good evening. Brunch begins at 10:00 on Saturday and Sunday. We offer some fabulous food options from our a la carte menu. We also have bottomless mimosas for $30.00. Reservations can be made online or you can call the restaurant directly at…

What is the "Dine-In" definition? Do ordering the food at at the bar area at Happy Hour considered "Dine-In" ?? I have a coupon $15 off of Dine-in.

Our experience would indicate no. Read the fine print on the coupon. I t most likely reads not valid for Happy Hour. They are looking for customers to "dine in" for lunch or dinner in the dining room.

Does this place charge to bring your own birthday cake? I tried calling them and no luck...

As of December they do not charge. I brought one for my birthday and they even lit the candles I brought! Great service!

Do you have to make reservations?

Reservations are highly recommended. Due to the popularity of the restaurant, it is a very good idea to make a reservation any time you come to Orange Hill. The lounge is first come first serve and you will not need a reservation to enjoy our…

Does Brunch offers dinner menu or only brunch menus?

They only offer the brunch menu during that time

How much is valet?

9 dollars

What is the price range?

Entree's are $25 on up. It's worth it. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Anyone know if all my guests need to arrive at the same time to be seated or can the "on time" people get started with drinks while we wait? I tried calling but line just rings.

We had about 7 guests and they said 6 had to be there in order for us to be seated, but since it was a surprise birthday for one of our guests, they said we could be seated as we arrived. So you would have to confirm with them

Hello. Are we able to bring our own wine bottle? If yes, are we able to.open our own bottle without paying a cork fee? Paying someone to open the bottle for $25, thats crazy!

Yes. We brought a bottle of champagne. We were charged a $35 corkage fee, so the price is pretty high in my opinion.

What is the automated tip amount for a party of 14?

18%

Does anyone know if Orange Hill Restaurant is still open? I've called multiple times the last 3 days, left a phone message and sent an email request for a reservation through their website (I did get email confirmation, but still no response)

Yes, still open. You should try calling right at 4 pm when they open.

What's the current price for valet In 2024?

9 dollars plus tax and they ask for tip LOL

I will be going to dinner next Friday, is there open parking?

Valet parking $9 if you want to self park, you can do it at the bottom of the hill but it's worth it if you have a cake to bring and you're wearing heels

Do they currently have happy hour? what time?

Yes. I believe it's from 4-6.

Is there a kids menu?

Yes there is.

To get the best outside view, Should I come during the day or night?

Personally, it's the night lights that look beautiful from that height. Not to mention the sunsets! Superb!

What is the dinner dress attire like? Is it dressed up or casual?

Smart casual or business casual is appropriate. Later reservations seem more dressed-up, but the most formal attire I've typically seen is cocktail dress, or sport coat with jeans/casual pants. Too casual: shorts of any kind, team logos,…

What are the vegan options?

Keep in mind, this is a restaurant that brands itself as a steakhouse. That being said, their one vegan entree item is delicious:…

Do you all have any sugar free desserts for my diabetic Mom? Cheesecake fac sells cheesecake with splenda.

Our server, Jimmy, and his assistant, Rodrigo, were wonderful. The entire staff was attentive and ready to help. We never had to look around for someone, and that kind of care really makes a difference on a date night. My partner and I love sharing, so we ordered a few dishes. The steak was perfectly medium, and the buttery, flaky halibut with risotto was delicious. We also enjoyed the lobster mac and cheese and the flower shaped bread with a variety of flavors. Palomas weren't on the menu, but the team was happy to make them for me and I appreciated that. The clam chowder was tasty, with more of a tomato bisque style. A manager stopped by to explain it, which was a thoughtful touch. We don't usually order dessert, but tonight we went for the New York cheesecake, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything we had was so good. We truly enjoyed our date night and highly recommend The Ranch for a special evening or celebration. We will definitely add this place to our date rotation.

We've converted non-believers into those that finish the last bite refusing to share this dish. Their steak offerings no matter what cut you get will almost always be cooked the way you requested and the flavors are definitely high end steakhouse. Prime rib is hands down better than Lawry's, no questions! For dessert, there is an off menu item which most gate keep but I'm going to share it: popcorn ice cream! Don't judge just try! We walked in around 3-4pm on a Tuesday- place was empty... There wasn't a soul inside. There was a bar tender cleaning glasses and he looks up and says "you guys looking for a place to sit?" I instantly responded "No, we're looking for lunch is this place open?" He seemed so bothered by us which was the second red flag after his lil "looking to sit down" comment. He proceeded to sit us down at the farthest corner from the door. We ordered our drinks. And when the waiter brought my friends coke, it looked so flat it almost looked like ice tea from 10 feet away. It was so obvious that it had no carbonation. I made a joke about it and we laughed. There wasn't a single bubble of carbonation in the entire glass, it was so bad. We joked and laughed about it when the waiter came back my friend said to him " I think this is the flattest coke I've ever been served" in a joking manner (it literally looked like ice tea) the waiters reaction was sooooo rude, he rolled his eyes, said something to my friend in a snarky tone which I didn't really hear but the way he grabbed the drink and walked away was really unnecessary and overly aggressive He was so bothered by him serving us a flat Coke? I didnt understand why he took that snarky attitude but my friend works as a waiter so his solution was to throw money at the waiter in hopes that he would stop treating us like we were 2 homeless dudes in a soup kitchen. When he brought the drink (as an olive brand and so he wouldn't spit in our food )my friend handed him a 20$... every time he came to our table my friend would hand him 20$ in cash and apologize. He came at least 3-4 times to check on us but I was already no feeling his vibe. My friend tipped him significantly more than what our bill even was. I was upset by that but my friend said it's a server/waiter thing. So if someone treats you poorly you throw money at them? I don't get the logic But regardless... There's a reason why nobody was here at this business during lunch. Food was mid. Nothing special. Service was bad, confrontational and just over the top sassy for no reason. I don't recommend I wouldn't come here even if it was free!

There was a ton of cajun sauce on the shrimp which was flavorful and decently spicy, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The jalapeño poppers were battered and fried like a cheaper restaurant would have. The cheese inside wasn't fully melted. Wouldn't get them again but they did the trick. We both got the top sirloin, hers was black and blue (stuffed with blue cheese and smothered in a burgundy blue cheese sauce), while mine was bare. These were some of the most tender sirloin steaks we've ever had. Mine might as well have been a filet mignon! Medium rare, perfectly pink from edge to edge, nice seasoned crust on the outside. Hers had tons of flavor from all the sauce and blue cheese. The veggies on the side were all good and cooked well. I got the housemade potato, broccoli, cheddar soup, and although it burned my tongue, it was very good. Definitely worth a trip and I'll be back for more steaks!

Very similar to the motel eggs - there is no way they were made with real eggs in the shell, most likely pasteurized liquid or powdered egg mix was used. We were so disappointed with the eggs, we still talk about it to this day. The breakfast/brunch items with eggs were not worth $16. The menu even stated, omelette has 6 eggs and the scramble has 3 eggs so it seemed as if fresh eggs were being used. Needless to say, we didn't finish even half of the food. Would not return for brunch again. I did email the Orange location directly 4 weeks ago when this happened and never received a response.

Mattie, our server, went above and beyond to provide us with exceptional service. Food was excellent, happy hour cocktails were nicely displayed and tasty, and dessert was almost sinful. Highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area.

We had a Friday Night Reservation, but arrived an hour early and they did a great job getting us a table.. The Staff from when we walked in the door were "Super Friendly" and that was cool.. We ordered an ice tea and a peach whisky drink.. The whisky drink was actually quite tasty.. For Dinner we had The Hanger Steak Dinner Special ($50) Which was a hanger steak with chimichurri, asparagus, garlic risotto. We also ordered the Barbecue Glazed Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf, Roasted Vegetables, Mashed Potatoes, and a Cheese Toast.. ($25) When they both arrived one plate hat more food for half the price.. The hanger steak was cooked to order (medium rare) and was tender. However it was very underwhelming in flavor even with the chimichurri on it. Especially for it being $50.. The risotto was the best thing on the plate as it was packed with flavor. That shouldn't have been the star on the plate. I tasted the meatloaf and it was so much better.. The meatloaf was awesome and the sides were great all together.. I was so jealous, as I am a huge steak person and was more impressed with the meatloaf.. The server was awesome and very attentive. We stayed at the hotel behind the restaurant and thought this place would be good since it was close by.. I am not sure when we stay in the area again if we will be back..

Once our favorite place to tell friends is a hidden gem serving one of the best burgers around has…read moreseemingly fallen to complacency. Our latest visit to indulge in a juicy gourmet burger left us saddened and disappointed. Every ingredient was neglected. The once toasted and buttered warm bun was stale and barely warmed by the dry and overcooked patty. The Russian spread that should've been hand made and generously bringing a perfect balance was barely present and unremarkable. The stringy red onions once cut fresh and bringing a little kick was prepared days ago and had refrigerator death. A sad limp pickle slice lays across a thin tomato slice. All of this atop one of the driest grey pieces of meat. One we requested medium rare and used to get juicy with pink centers.... I go into such detail because tonight we told our son he was going to have the best burger and none of us even finished it. To add insult to injury, the cold unseasoned French fries were given to our dogs, what little we were given. For a $20+ burger there is no excuse. I won't dare try another plate here if this is how they treat their burgers. If you crave a restaurant burger your better choices are a few feet away with Lazy Dog and Chilis at a better price where they are cooked better and served with fresher ingredients. With the nearly empty restaurant we saw, it seems everyone already knows. While the service was friendly, their burger plate just wasn't worth it.
