This was my first time here and it was absolutely fantastic. We came for the Valentines dinner special on Valentine's Day. The restaurant is beautiful. The view outside is fantastic. We were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was very friendly and informative. It was a special menu for the occasion we went ahead and placed our order of each thing that we wanted and one by one it started to come out our alcohol drinks were fantastic and came with a little show. This experience was a 10 out of 10 absolutely fantastic. Everything that I tried was delicious and flavorful. The dessert was top-notch. I am so glad that I got to experience this place. Absolutely perfect perfection

This place was a mix of super fancy and also casual. I felt confused walking up bc some people were dressed in formal outfits and others were in baggy jeans. So I guess I advise you dress for your occasion! I got the prime rib which was really good. The brussel sprouts were also so tasty and the complimentary cornbread was also very good. I got a drink and the total came out to around $100. The view was great and beautiful at night. Parking is valet only, so just keep that in mind before coming!

Views, views, views! What a beautiful restaurant. Elegant, sophisticated, and upscale vibes. Sitting outdoors for brunch with girlfriends, we can see Orange County from the top of the hills. Beautiful! I ordered their Salmon Benedict. While the taste was fully there, the smoked salmon was a bit over cooked. I still thoroughly enjoyed my dish. Their breakfast potatoes are delicious! Cooked perfectly with a nice crisp and flavor. Service was absolutely wonderful. Our server (sorry did not catch the name), was so accommodating and patient with us. We may have stayed a bit later after the bill was already paid, but he did not rush us out. Thank you so much for the wonderful service. Overall enjoyed my visit to Orange Hill today. It was my first time here for brunch, and would come back again. Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Variety of menu options to choose from. Cheers, Orange Hill!

Gorgeous restaurant inside and out. As soon as you exit your vehicle the stroll to the front door has relaxing streams and a huge fireplace. We checked in at the front in the near empty restaurant and yet had to wait around 10 minutes before seated at a nice booth. I'm not sure why we didn't get a window or patio table in the empty restaurant but our booth was comfortable and still had a view. Brunch menu had a lot of tasty options. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict with a side order of Belgium waffle. Also their Dubai chocolate espresso martini. This breakfast was perfection. I absolutely loved it. One of the best smoked salmon benedicts I have had. Even the side of potatoes and roasted tomatoes were amazing. The waffle tasted like a combination of a churro and funnel cake. Pure heaven. I've never tried the trendy Dubai chocolate bar but my martini captured the essence of what I have seen in pictures. Legit or not it was delicious. My wife had a pineapple cocktail I can't remember the name of that she thought was delicious. My wife ordered the prime rib. The slab was so massive it completely eclipsed the side dishes it was lying on! It was ok. She thought it was bland and the few bites I tried were ok, not something I would order.. It was oddly chewy for prime rib. My wife took most of it home and doctored it up. It came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Our waitress was very friendly when we saw her but she was MIA most of the meal. I had an issue with a few items not matching the price on the menu and didn't notice until after I paid. I let the assistant manager Ray know and he's going to get it fixed. Double check your receipt.

Orange Hill might just be riding on the coattails of its own legacy and not trying to improve on much. Maybe it was because we did brunch instead of dinner so the vibe was a little more casual. For the price point and the reputation that this restaurant holds, I expected a little bit more in terms of quality. The service is nice, but not polished. There could be a little more attention to detail, like how servers at other fine dining restaurants do so. However, the food was great. We got the spinach dip, crab cake benny, and wagyu benny. No notes, we would get it again, but we won't be coming very often. Also you're forced to do valet, which is $10.

First and foremost our server Lydia was outstanding, she kept water glasses full, she checked up on us throughout our dining experience and just very friendly. Secondly, the view was wonderful and elevated our dining experience. If you haven't visited Orange Hill restaurant, it's a must at least once. Thirdly, it is a dining experience so don't plan on getting in and out. Enjoy the ambiance, the food and the company your with. That being said the dining service was a little slow but the enjoyment of the dining experience out weighed that part. The food was delicious. The appetizers Crispy rice with tuna tartar, shrimp platter, and a tomato dish were all excellent. Main entrees were delicious as well. Top notch all the way around

Fillet Mignon Benedict w/ side of Buttermilk Pancakes

HAVE: Calamari 8 oz filet mignon Benedict Hangover hash Came for brunch as a birthday treat. I ordered the 8 oz Filet Mignon Benedict - while you get a decent-sized portion of steak, there isn't anything special about the preparation or the flavor. It basically feels like a standard steak-and-egg breakfast, served on toast. My husband had the Hangover Hash - only to figure out why "hangover" is the name after it was served. It is a true recovery meal - high protein and carbs for recovery and that very salty taste to replace electrolytes. Hangover or not - this dish is not for us! The appetizer calamari mixed with onions and peppers was the only dish I actually liked. The mix was simple but worked well together. We waited 20-30 minutes for our reservation, and the service was slow. After the food came we had to flag staff down for assistance. It was a busy Saturday morning, and a celebration blocked off part of the dining area. The restaurant is located right over the hill - just as the name suggests. The entrance has a peaceful fish pond. It also has several function rooms for events. While the views from the hilltop are stunning - I kinda wondered if the taste of the food truly lives up to the scenery.

One of my favorite spots ever!! I somehow end up here almost every year for my birthday and it's honestly become a tradition at this point. The hill view during sunset is beautiful, and the fireplace area at night makes the whole place feel extra cozy. The food has always been really good, service is friendly and attentive, and the overall experience always feels special whether it's for birthdays, family dinners, or hangouts with friends.

Came for a birthday dinner and had a blast! The view from our outdoor table was gorgeous and the service was top-notch. Highlights were the massive, delicious steaks and the great drink menu (mocktails included!). I'm giving it 4 stars solely because the seating was a bit tight; barely enough room on the table for our plates. Overall, great food and vibes!

City view

A great dining experience with a view to match. The city looks endlessly below, especially stunning at sunset, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. The steak is the real star, perfectly cooked, richly flavored, and clearly high-quality. Add in attentive service and a relaxed, upscale atmosphere, and this place easily becomes a go-to spot for a special night out or when you want to impress. The drinks are amazing also. There are fireplaces along the outside to keep you warm and toasty.

Steak The Progressive
Fran D.

The Steak Progressive includes filet mignon 8oz, prime hanger 8oz, wagyu zabuton 4oz, mid-western angus ribeye 7oz is amazing. I usually order medium rare but I did medium because of the wagu. Also love the caviar fries. The view is one of the best in OC. You can see Catalina on a clear day.

Dubai Espresso Martini. Delicious!

Best ribeye in my life. No exaggeration or gushing. Every single thing we ordered was 10/10. The portions did not skimp, and the quality of ingredients was clearly A+. An upscale dining experience without the pomp, without the attitudes. From the hostess to our server, and everyone in between - thoroughly inviting service. The view from the patio at sunset - STUNNING. We're not in LA often, but will absolutely return when we're in the area!

Sunset view
Mike B.

What a view! Easily the best view from a restaurant in Orange County. Decided to come up here for a date night and it didn't disappoint. Service was great, food was great, view is unparalleled especially at sunset! We started with the surf and turf deviled eggs and a wedge salad. Basically deviled eggs with a thick cut chunk of bacon and a fried piece of lobster on top. Definitely worth trying. The wedge had the same thick cut chunks of bacon on top with some blue cheese crumbles and ranch dressing. Delish! Then the star of the show, the steak progressive. Essentially 4 types of steak served on a platter with 4 accoutrements; a filet mignon, hangar steak, ribeye, and Wagyu zabuton, with a small grilled onion, pink peppercorn, sea salt, and a red wine jam with garlic in the middle. I love filet mignon but the best cut was definitely the Wagyu zabuton, it had so much flavor I would get just that cut next time. The whole platter was perfect. Also got a side of broccolini & broccoli just to add some green. They have a huge wine selection as well as a full bar with a bunch of interesting cocktails. I had a glass of their butter-fat washed Buffalo Trace that usually comes in one of their cocktails. It's worth trying by itself, very smooth with a unique flavor. Our server was on top of things despite having a bunch of tables to take care of. A manager even stopped by to check on things which is always nice because it shows they really care about your experience. It's been a long time since I've eaten at Orange Hill but I'll have to go back again sooner. If you haven't been you should check it out!

What is the "Dine-In" definition? Do ordering the food at at the bar area at Happy Hour considered "Dine-In" ?? I have a coupon $15 off of Dine-in.

Our experience would indicate no. Read the fine print on the coupon. I t most likely reads not valid for Happy Hour. They are looking for customers to "dine in" for lunch or dinner in the dining room.

Does this place charge to bring your own birthday cake? I tried calling them and no luck...

As of December they do not charge. I brought one for my birthday and they even lit the candles I brought! Great service!

Do you have to make reservations?

Reservations are highly recommended. Due to the popularity of the restaurant, it is a very good idea to make a reservation any time you come to Orange Hill. The lounge is first come first serve and you will not need a reservation to enjoy our… Read more

They only offer the brunch menu during that time

How much is valet?

9 dollars

What is the price range?

Entree's are $25 on up. It's worth it. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Anyone know if all my guests need to arrive at the same time to be seated or can the "on time" people get started with drinks while we wait? I tried calling but line just rings.

We had about 7 guests and they said 6 had to be there in order for us to be seated, but since it was a surprise birthday for one of our guests, they said we could be seated as we arrived. So you would have to confirm with them

Hello. Are we able to bring our own wine bottle? If yes, are we able to.open our own bottle without paying a cork fee? Paying someone to open the bottle for $25, thats crazy!

Yes. We brought a bottle of champagne. We were charged a $35 corkage fee, so the price is pretty high in my opinion.

What is the automated tip amount for a party of 14?

18%

Does anyone know if Orange Hill Restaurant is still open? I've called multiple times the last 3 days, left a phone message and sent an email request for a reservation through their website (I did get email confirmation, but still no response)

Yes, still open. You should try calling right at 4 pm when they open.

What's the current price for valet In 2024?

9 dollars plus tax and they ask for tip LOL

I will be going to dinner next Friday, is there open parking?

Valet parking $9 if you want to self park, you can do it at the bottom of the hill but it's worth it if you have a cake to bring and you're wearing heels

Do they currently have happy hour? what time?

Yes. I believe it's from 4-6.

Is there a kids menu?

Yes there is.

To get the best outside view, Should I come during the day or night?

Personally, it's the night lights that look beautiful from that height. Not to mention the sunsets! Superb!

What is the dinner dress attire like? Is it dressed up or casual?

Smart casual or business casual is appropriate. Later reservations seem more dressed-up, but the most formal attire I've typically seen is cocktail dress, or sport coat with jeans/casual pants. Too casual: shorts of any kind, team logos,… Read more

The only downside is parking can be a little difficult during lunch time. One of the things I like about this place is when you walk through the door you already have a warm and fuzzy feeling. Almost like you're going into someone else's home for a meal. Lots of wood. Lots of dim lining. The place is very upscale without feeling stuffy. If you are going there for lunch, I highly recommend you get the burger off the menu. I am not kidding. It is one of the best tasting hamburgers I've had in a very long time. They cook it perfectly and their french fries are seasoned to perfection. Wait staff is top-notch, they definitely take care of your table while not hovering over you. One thing of note, they have great iced tea. Bottom line? What other better place to celebrate our friend reunion at a place called "Reunion"? ;)…read more We were looking for a good brunch place to try out and found this place near Corona. Parking: I had no problem finding parking spot as the lot is huge and shared with many other businesses. Interior: We were seated right away without any wait time as we arrived when they just opened. We were seated in a dark area of the restaurant (think bar vibe) so I was a little not sure at first. Most brunch places I went to were always filled with sunlight and bright colorful interiors. This place embraced a classic, quiet feel, something like a Steak House would have. Service: Our server's name was Susan I believe, who was nice and attentive through the whole meal, despite the crowd slowly built up and filled the restaurant. She never failed to check back on us, not just once but twice and refilled our water. She probably isn't as familiar with the brunch menu favorites but seem to know more about the Main menu. The General Manager came out and greeted us because most of their customers are regulars and it's uncommon to have first timers like us visiting. This nice hospitality made us feel very warmly welcomed and impressed. Food: I couldn't decide whether to go with the Slow braised beef on the brunch menu (braised beef benedict) or the main menu but ended up going with the Main menu to get a good portion size. It was a perfect choice because the beef is just amazing. It was cooked to a soft perfection, well seasoned, the roasted vegetable was also cooked just right and not super raw/ crunchy like other places. Then the star of the show arrived - the butter cake. As Susan suggested, this is their most popular dessert and I can see why. The butter cake comes piping hot with the ice cream on top. There's a nice sugar crunchy feel near the bottom of the cake. It's so delicious that I want to come back just to eat this cake. We had a great time overall and would love to come back.
