I've dined here several times and have also worked a few events, and I've always had positive experiences. The biggest highlight is, without a doubt, the view. Perched on a hill overlooking the city, it's especially beautiful at sunset and after dark. The scenery alone makes it a wonderful spot for a date night or a special occasion. The food has been consistently enjoyable. The hors d'oeuvres served at the events I've attended were all delicious, and during a previous dinner I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which was excellent. It was cooked just the way I like it, moist and flaky with a firm texture rather than soft and mushy. My only real complaint is the parking. The restaurant uses valet, and I wish there were a self-parking option instead. Personally, I'd rather park my own car than pay for valet when the parking area is right there. It also puts guests in the awkward position of feeling obligated to tip on top of the valet fee. Long story short: Worst dining experience ever. Never going again and would not recommend. Long story long: 7:15pm reservation on a Saturday (first mistake). Arrived 20 min early, only to be told that the valet parking is full and we must go to overflow parking at Santiago Canyon college, almost 2 miles away. Told there would at least be a complimentary shuttle available. Gets there and it's no where in sight. Attempted to call the restaurant to inform them we might be late due to this change. An AI Robot answered, I asked to speak to a real human, got transferred straight to voicemail. Great. We then waited 10 minutes for shuttle to arrive. Proceeded to cram into the back of shuttle with 9 other people, sitting hip-to-hip. Literally sardined. Finally arrived at the restaurant and checked in. Now we know outside seating isn't guaranteed (you can pay $20 to guarantee outside seating, which is silly in my opinion. But you do you). Politely asked if there is any way we could be sat outside. The hostess looked us up & down and (very rudely) says no. We're like alright...it was worth an ask at least? Could have at least been nice about it (like isn't being pleasant part of the job? But I digress). We ended up getting sat in the butt-crack of the restaurant. Very back wall. We ordered 2 beers to start, and it took 30+ minutes for them to come out. Our waiter brought us cans (prefer to have tap, but it's fine. But also though, a 30+ minute wait for cans? Hm.). He asked if we'd like them poured in a glass, we say yes; he proceeded to do the WORST beer pours ever. Over half of the glass is head. Comical at this point. Took a sip and it's ~warm~. Perfect. Waiter asked if we're celebrating anything, we say anniversary. He scoffed, "oh wow, seems like everyone is celebrating their anniversary tonight." Like ok??? Sorry to inconvenience you by being basic, maybe we should've gone somewhere else??? He also only checked on us once the entire evening, and the other servers in the area seemed stressed. Felt like the restaurant was understaffed. Food takes another 30ish minutes to come out. Pasta dish and burger are fine, but nowhere near worth the price. You could get the equivalent type of food at Lazy Dog (no-tea-no-shade, I like Lazy Dog. But if I'm paying $30 for a burger, it's gotta be at least a little bit special). We also ordered a side of mac & cheese, and it was bad. How do you mess up mac & cheese?? One bite and we were done. To top it off, the table next to us ordered something that was so smokey, our eyes were burning as we ate. Really added to the ambiance. Towards the end, they brought out a free "happy anniversary" brownie, which I thought was nice at first, but it also tasted bad. Got me thinking, how do you mess up mac & cheese AND brownies? This is easy stuff! By this point, we were like alright, can we just pay our bill and leave? But oh wait!! The shuttle! We then got to wait another 10 minutes for a squished ride back to our car. Great end to the evening (not)! Overall, it was terrible. For a restaurant that claims to do special occasions, it was anything but. I am flabbergasted that this restaurant only has 3.6 stars. I flew in from Florida the morning I came here. I had planned to go to Laguna, but after such a long flight, I couldn't make myself sit in the car for another hour. Instead, I looked for a restaurant with a view closer to Anaheim. That's how I stumbled upon this gem. First, the front is gorgeous with water features and a little pond. There is a fireplace out front. The view from inside is amazing with the sunset. It would be a fabulous location for events! (There were two events happening when I came for dinner.) Just note it is valet only! I showed up 15 minutes before my reservation, and I was seated right away. The hostess was very nice. I had mentioned to the hostess that I was starving, and she told my waiter who made sure not to disappoint. Jenner was my waiter, and he was great! He was very attentive and offered me great recommendations, which is probably why my meal was darn near perfect. First, THEY GIVE YOU COMPLIMENTARY HONEY CORNBREAD. When I saw Jenner walking up to my table with that giant hunk of corn mealy goodness I about died of happiness. It was so yummy! For my app, I got the tomato burrata salad. That was the highlight of my meal. (Surprising after how I spoke about the cornbread, no?) This salad comes with a huge ball of burrata on top of a pile of tomatoes, peaches, and fennel. It was sweet, it was creamy, it was herbaceous...it was PERFECTLY refreshing. (Definitely not a one person salad. Trust me.) My entree was the Wild Mushroom Pappardelle Pasta with truffle whipped ricotta and basil. I added chicken since my protein was lacking today. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The pasta was creamy, but the truffle was not in the room with us. I love mushrooms, truffle, and basil, so that was a bummer, but honestly, I can't remove a star for that. I washed this all down with a nice glass of wine, and I left feeling fat and sassy...and with three boxes of leftovers. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach, but if you think I left a morsel of food on that table, think again. We had a private booth like area. Food: The house corn bread is spectacular! Freshly made from kitchen and when you taste with the pink salt or their house chili butter, it's a whole other level! Came here to experience the beauty I was told it had. The view is good, but it would be better without the smog. As you walk in, they have a small bridge path that has Koi Fish underneath the water. We had made a reservation, so the wait was only 5 minutes. The place is simply decorated, nothing stood out, but the view was awesome. The Corn bread was nothing to brag about. We all ordered the steaks, and they were not bad. They have some fancy drinks, but after a couple of drinks not remember the names of them. My boyfriend surprised me with a reservation at Orange Hill for my birthday! I had a wonderful time. Our reservation was conveniently made through the OpenTable app. Parking is valet. We were seated promptly at our reservation time of 7:15pm. The restaurant is gorgeous and sits on a hill overlooking the city of Orange. During the summer, there is a breathtaking view of the sunset right at dinnertime. Our server was Ailyn, who was such a sweetheart. She took amazing care of us and went above and beyond to provide us excellent service. Complimentary cornbread is provided, served with a drizzle of honey, Himalayan sea salt, and a cayenne infused butter. The butter is so good and really makes the cornbread shine. I had the "Paid Vacation" cocktail, served in a glass ball swinging on a crescent moon shaped hanger. Everything about this drink from its presentation to its flavors was loud, fun, and summery. You are given a Szechuan flower to nibble on before sipping your drink, numbing your tongue with a mala tingling sensation. The drink itself is vodka based with passionfruit. I loved the tropical taste and playful presentation. This drink is one of four "main character" cocktails that one would order if one desired the attention of the entire room. And it was my birthday, so of course I did. For our appetizers, we got the caviar frites and crispy rice tuna tartare. The caviar frites were perfectly crispy and seasoned. I loved the accompaniments such as the vodka creme fraiche and dollops of caviar. The crispy rice tuna tartare was plated beautifully. The tuna was fresh and spicy, and I loved the crispy rice on the bottom. At this point in our meal, Ailyn advised us to take pictures with the gorgeous sunset on the patio while we waited for our entrees. A small handful of people were doing the same. The sunset was especially breathtaking from our vantage point. I could see every layer of the rainbow embedded in the blazing California sky. I had the filet mignon and added an Atlantic lobster tail. The filet was so tender and juicy. The lobster tail was cooked perfectly. I really liked the side of 50/50 mashed potatoes as well. From the calming sounds of water when you first walk up, to the cozy fire burning at the entrance, to the breath taking views, and the comfortable seating. It's absolutely beautiful and there's a few photo ops. The service was great. We opted to sit in the bar at a window seat. The bar does not require a reservation. If seating is available, it's first come first serve. Our server was amazing. He was tentative to our needs and kept our drinks coming. There was a small issue where he almost over charged us $30 for an extras bottomless mimosa but luckily we caught the error and it was corrected before checking out. The food was delicious. I opted for the Dry Aged Burger. It comes with a slice of heirloom tomato, arugula, cheddar cheese, and bacon onion marmalade on a toasted brioche bun with chili crisp aioli and a side of fries. I request my burger medium and it was cooked to perfection. It was juicy and packed with flavor. The brioche was soft and that bacon onion jam was a game changer. I also had the spinach dip. This was one of the best I've had at a restaurant. It was packed with artichoke, spinach, mozzarella, and Parmesan. It was rich and full of flavor. It was nice to actually taste artichoke. It was served with warm soft pita bread. I tasted my girlfriend's Berry Boujee French Toast and that was an experience. It was rich, sweet, indulgent, everything you'd find in gourmet French toast. The strawberry & cherry blossom cream was heaven with the brûléed lemon curd (sweet and tart). It was a perfect balance on the soft brioche French toast. This is a very sophisticated French toast and the flavors are bold. If you don't love lemon I would consider a different dish or have it removed. This dish did not need syrup. Last, the seafood tower was full of fresh seafood. It comes with tuna poke, scallops, lobster, crab, shrimp, and oysters. Everything was fresh and absolutely amazing. This is our 3rd time here and we love it. We came to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary and had a lovely experience. We had Jeff as our server and he was phenomenal! He answered any question we had and made sure we had everything we needed. Our food came fast, we started with what I think was cornbread with butter and some salt. Then they brought out our coconut shrimp and they were amazing. So crunchy yet so tender and buttery on the inside. The sauce they drizzle over them has a sweet but spicy flavor. The salad was also super yummy I just didn't think it was gonna be so big or I wouldn't have ordered it bc it was only me eating it lol the Mac and cheese was perfect, it was cheesy but not overwhelming. Coconut shrimp, which was OK. I ordered the tomato and burata salad, which was not good at all. The salad came with peaches that I was expecting for it to be grilled peaches, but these were canned peaches that were put in the salad that did not pair well with the dish. We also tried the butter fish, which was good, the short rib and the chicken. We ordered drinks, which I believe is what they're really known for. Very sugary for our taste but if you like sweet drinks, they have plenty to offer. One of the best smoked salmon benedicts I have had. Even the side of potatoes and roasted tomatoes were amazing. The waffle tasted like a combination of a churro and funnel cake. Pure heaven. I've never tried the trendy Dubai chocolate bar but my martini captured the essence of what I have seen in pictures. Legit or not it was delicious. My wife had a pineapple cocktail I can't remember the name of that she thought was delicious. My wife ordered the prime rib. The slab was so massive it completely eclipsed the side dishes it was lying on! It was ok. She thought it was bland and the few bites I tried were ok, not something I would order.. It was oddly chewy for prime rib. My wife took most of it home and doctored it up. It came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The staff was incredibly friendly and Cindy was able to help us with a smooth wedding planning process. everything was clear and when we had any questions they were addressed clearly. Food was delicious, the banquet captain that we had on our wedding night was awesome and was able to cater to any last minute needs. We started with the coconut shrimp, and it was the perfect introduction to what turned out to be an amazing meal. I ordered the New York strip steak with mac and cheese and garlic fries. I wasn't expecting the portion sizes, they were huge. I barely managed to finish the steak, which was incredibly tender. If I hadn't been so full, I probably wouldn't have needed a to-go box. My wife ordered the bone-in ribeye with the 50/50 mashed potatoes, and it was just as delicious (yes, I snuck a bite or two). To finish the evening, we ordered the Café Con Leche dessert, an espresso lava cake topped with Oreo crumbs, cookies and cream ice cream, and espresso beans. It was so good I was almost willing to make myself uncomfortably full just to avoid leaving any behind. I'm exaggerating... but only a little. There could be a little more attention to detail, like how servers at other fine dining restaurants do so. However, the food was great. We got the spinach dip, crab cake benny, and wagyu benny. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful birthday dinner and first-time experience at Orange Hill. The scenery and views are absolutely beautiful and definitely help justify the price. The service was excellent as well. Since it was a busy evening, we waited about 15 minutes to be seated, and there were some delays between courses. However, our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful when it came to choosing what to order, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We ordered two drinks, the spinach artichoke dip, 50/50 mash, and the Western Angus ribeye steak. Everything tasted great, and we left feeling completely satisfied. We were also served a complimentary cornbread dish which was delicious and they surprised my girlfriend with a complimentary brownie dessert for her birthday. She loved it! I did have two minor concerns. While doing research, I was put off by the mandatory valet parking service. We were charged a $10 valet fee, plus a 3.2% card surcharge. In the end it wasn't a big deal, and it was actually a fun first-time valet experience. My main concern was the steak preparation. I saw common complaints about how steaks turned out in reviews so I was worried. My girlfriend ordered the ribeye medium-rare but it was closer to medium and some parts were medium-well. She didn't notice and she still enjoyed it though I thought it was alright. I hope if and when we come back, we don't have the same problem. Overall, we had a fantastic first visit and would absolutely eat here again for another special occasion. We followed hostess to our table, she kept walking straight ahead and waved her hand at a table and kept walking. I had to stop her and ask her if this was our table. So weird..Welcome staff, not welcoming. Crab Shrimp bisque was a thick acidic tomato soup with 1 bay shrimp and 1/2 Oz. Crab..only ate the sparse seafood and cheese baguette slice. Nothing "bisque about it"! Horrible! Iced tea served in small glass..no ice...had to ask for tall glass with ice and the iced tea. Manager very stoic, not welcoming...we had a party of 8. He only came over when he noticed hostess gave my husband the brunch menu instead of lunch menu. Server had too many tables and too busy to make a good dining experience. read more

This was my first time here and it was absolutely fantastic. We came for the Valentines dinner special on Valentine's Day. The restaurant is beautiful. The view outside is fantastic. We were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was very friendly and informative. It was a special menu for the occasion we went ahead and placed our order of each thing that we wanted and one by one it started to come out our alcohol drinks were fantastic and came with a little show. This experience was a 10 out of 10 absolutely fantastic. Everything that I tried was delicious and flavorful. The dessert was top-notch. I am so glad that I got to experience this place. What a view! Easily the best view from a restaurant in Orange County. Decided to come up here for a date night and it didn't disappoint. Service was great, food was great, view is unparalleled especially at sunset! We started with the surf and turf deviled eggs and a wedge salad. Basically deviled eggs with a thick cut chunk of bacon and a fried piece of lobster on top. Definitely worth trying. The wedge had the same thick cut chunks of bacon on top with some blue cheese crumbles and ranch dressing. Delish! Then the star of the show, the steak progressive. Essentially 4 types of steak served on a platter with 4 accoutrements; a filet mignon, hangar steak, ribeye, and Wagyu zabuton, with a small grilled onion, pink peppercorn, sea salt, and a red wine jam with garlic in the middle. I love filet mignon but the best cut was definitely the Wagyu zabuton, it had so much flavor I would get just that cut next time. The whole platter was perfect. Also got a side of broccolini & broccoli just to add some green. They have a huge wine selection as well as a full bar with a bunch of interesting cocktails. I had a glass of their butter-fat washed Buffalo Trace that usually comes in one of their cocktails. It's worth trying by itself, very smooth with a unique flavor. Our server was on top of things despite having a bunch of tables to take care of. A manager even stopped by to check on things which is always nice because it shows they really care about your experience. My family surprised me with a birthday lunch at this restaurant and it was absolutely stunning! The views, food, non-alcoholic drinks and service was on point although it was the first day of 2026 when everyone's tired from the New Year's festivities. Orange Hill holds a special place in my heart. Many years ago, we used to take my mom to their Mother's Day Brunch when she was still alive.They no longer have the buffet. Those moments are so cherished. We have only attended Orange Hill on special occasions since then. This time was to celebrate a special birthday, and as usual WE WERE EXTREMELY HAPPY that we chose Orange Hill. The drive up the hill already sets the starry night ambience. As your car pulls up, there is the valet area already waiting for you. As you walk to the entrance, get your camera ready, there are several areas that are perfect for pictures that include waterfalls and mini ponds. There is even an outside relaxation area with huge couches and an oversized fireplace! When you enter the restaurant, the reception area is already fully decorated for Christmas. Absolutely gorgeous! Our service professional Maliah was top notch amazing. She had such a vibrantly contagious personality. She was so welcoming and friendly. She was on point with recommendations and why she was recommending the dishes. She also went out of her way and offered to take family pics of us outside to catch the stars and view of the city. She listened and recognized our sort occasion. Level 1-5 5 Exceptional Service 5 Ambience 4-5 beautiful view and decorations that were not too much. Our seating was very tight together even though we set reservations months ago. I had to keep asking my husband to pull out his chair for me to get out. Food 4 5 Short ribs -amazingly tender with great flavor and wine gravy. 5 Fried red snapper had the right crispy outside and the middle was flakey and well seasoned. 4 Wagyu appetizer The strips cooking on the freezing brick was fun ... The meat was good but I had better Wagyu. The sauce and salt made it yummy. 4 Wagyu Dinner The meat was tender as expected, but the seasoning was definitely lacking. For cuts like this, I hope not to depend on sauces for flavor. 3 The broccoli and broccolini combo was well seasoned with a bit of kick. The broccoli section were mushy. 4 Porterhouse was cooked perfectly to medium rare, but there was a lack of seasoning and flavor. There were some bites with good flavor but not all the way through. Also, there were a lot of fatty areas. The raspberry sauce made a big difference to add flavor. 4 Oysters were fresh and yummy but they could have cleaned it better. There were a lot of sand or bits of shells. 5 Salmon very flavorful and cooked perfectly. 4 Lobster shrimp Bucatini great flavor but the noodles were just a lil overcooked. 3 Lobster we ordered 2 but one was very overcooked and mushy. We had to return it so they gave us a new one to go. Overall, it was an amazing night. We definitely made more cherished memories here. read more
