Orange Coffee Bar is a small and cozy Korean cafe in Duluth. The service is always friendly and quick since it never gets too full in here. It's a great place to work/study for a bit if you have the time, though I did not take note if they had outlets available. I have been here twice - the first time for a drink and the second to share bingsoo on a hot summer's day. I was hesitant at first, but decided to try the sweet potato latte and was pleasantly surprised by the taste. It was warm, comforting with the right amount of sweetness. For the bingsoo, I tried two different flavors - Redbean with injeolmi and mango. They were both refreshing desserts and enough to share between at least 2 people. I personally loved the injeolmi (Korean rice cake generously covered in roasted soybean powder) which tasted similar to peanut butter. It's located on the opposite of the plaza from Honey Pig, so make sure to stop by for a sweet treat!
The first coffee shop I visited when I moved to GA.... And the last. So many feelings associated with this place. Their drinks are always my go-to on a good day, bad day, whatever in between. And you get a 10th drink free or discounted
Medium-sized, Korean cafe with dark wood and black tones throughout the interior. I drove 30 minutes just for the cute latte art advertised here and my drink was nothing like their photos. I'm very disappointed. Things you should know: I. PARKING You cannot park right at the entryway on a rainy day due to reserved spaces and valet marked lots. So make sure you have an umbrella for a brief walk if it's raining. There's plenty of free, available nearby spaces. II. SERVICE Inconsistent, I suppose. Since I didn't get what any of the pictures presented with my latte.. III. QUALITY Average coffee from my experience. Macarons are frozen ~ you have to let them thaw, but they're very delicious. IV. CAPACITY Large amount of available seating for a weekday late-morning.
The drinks here were quite incredible. I got an oatmilk latte and my mom got the sweet potato latte (which is non-coffee) and both were SO GOOD. The oatmilk latte had such a deep coffee flavor and the oatmilk was not overpowering in any way. I was also obsessed with the sweet potato latte because I already love the Korean sweet potatoes so to have it in a hot drink form just in time for the holidays was fantastic. I can't wait to go back here to try some of their other drinks. For now, I'll be ordering the hot drinks since it's cold outside but I hear that their smoothies and cold drinks are just as good for the spring/summertime!
I love this place! It's never crazy crowded, it is comfortable and cozy enough to sit and enjoy some good coffee and good food. The rice cakes here are good, they take 15 minutes to make when you order which is no big deal. And the croffle here is good as well. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a lowkey coffee spot
This place is really cozy, and their drinks are really good. Plus their service is really good. The only thing is that this place is towards the pricier side, but still worth the experience. Their dalgona latte is really good and sweet so worth a try also!
Orange Coffee Bar has been a staple Korean cafe in the area for years. They're known for their coffee and bingsoo offerings. Purely food based review: Strawberry Bingsoo ($12.9) - Melts in your mouth, plenty of strawberries and topped with whipped cream and condensed milk. Pistachio macaron ($3) - larger than average macaron offerings. They come in many different flavors. I've also had their giant Honeydew bingsoos in the past and they were great for a small group. Unsure if they still do them as I didn't see it on their menus anymore.
Highlight: They have those carved out Melon Bing su for those who like the new and different amidst the smattering of Korean coffee and dessert places in Duluth. Essentially, look down at the pics but they take a half melon (watermelon and honeydew) and put milky bing su (soft as the first snow fall and not the hail like stuff in sno-cones), a scoop of sweet red bean azuki and vanilla ice cream ( the sweetest/sugary part of this whole dessert). For people who like a healthier version of bing su minus the typical cereal toppings and high syrup flavors, this is the one to get. I recommend splitting this with 3-4 friends unless you're super hungry and don't plan on eating any other meal around this. They also have lattes, teas, and coffees here for those who just want a coffee store here in the Honey Pig block. If you want bubble tea, you best go next door to Kung fu tea. This is a better place to get work done and study though if you're looking for that (most Korean places are quieter and bubble tea places are noisier). I chose the melon bing su b/c if you've ever had those yummy Melona popsicles at the Korean market that compliments the sweetness of honeydew with a light touch of cream, then this is the live healthier version of a melona. I was right- and plus the sweetness really came from the vanilla ice cream- I loved the texture of mealy azuki to add complexity to this dish. Desserts these days try to add contrasts in types of sweetness and texture to the palate which I appreciate. 12.95$ for this half monster, but its worth it if you have a team to split it with and are celebrating life/birthday/friendship etc.
I give Orange Coffee bar a 4 - this is actually one of my favorite Korean cafes to go to, but for some reason.. I never really crave it. I'll only go if someone suggests it, and I usually love it whenever I go, but for some odd reason, I never am the one initiating this place (vs. places like Arte 3 in Suwanee). Some favorite menu items from their menu include the kiwi juice (must try), the watermelon bingsoo (shaved ice) and melon bingsoo (shaved ice). Orange Coffee's coffee is actually really amazing too and pretty much any coffee product you order, you will also enjoy it. The spicy rice cakes aren't as good as Coffee by Hand's, but it's still pretty good (and a bit cheaper, I believe). The croffle is good but pretty pricy. When I visited, we entered the small store (yes -- the store is pretty small) and I wanted to try the strawberry latte. (Disclaimer: It does not have any coffee in it). I thought it was OK -- I think there's better drinks at Orange. It wasn't as sweet as I expected it to be; it just felt like watered-down strawberry milk with strawberry puree. Overall, I really like Orange. It was never my go-to cafe, but I truly did enjoy every one of my experiences there. It's definitely more frequented by Korean-speaking people, but anyone in the area should give this place a try!
Review only based on the macarons!!! I had to review their macarons ($2.50) because it is a new find. The size was pretty decent and they had about 10 flavors. They don't have a lot of stock for all the flavors, but I got to try 5 flavors. I tried strawberry, earl grey, caramel, oreo, and coffee. My favorite was oreo! I would recommend this place for macarons (in Duluth!)
Ok, its been a crazy last 30 days but im back at it. I was actaully looking for a cool place to work that had good coffee and wasnt too far from my home so this was one of the spots I've always seen but never tried until recently. HISTORY Its cool that I just tried this place because its JUST recently taken over by new owners who have only been here about a few months. That said, the franchise itself has been here over 6 years. I dont really know the full history but I have lived in this area on and off for six years and its been here the whole time. Nice Coffee, Music Friendly Staff My latte was pretty good, I would say it was ALMOST on par with my favorite coffee spot (cafe blue) and got me excited enough to keep coming here on almost a daily basis. The staff is also very friendly, ready to answer any questions (and I asked a lot my first time here). The only issue I had was that no one at the time could tell me what kind of coffee they were brewing which I really need to know to better appreciate the taste. One thing I love about this place is that they have a few tables outside that are under these huge umbrellas so I literally did a conference call with my job in the rain and stayed dry in my corner (thank you great umbrella). This spot works awesome as long as your not on the receiving end of all the smokers (dont sit where the wind is blowing). Overall it's a place to set up and get some work done while enjoying good coffee. I only wish they had more snack foods but being in proximity of MJ and Thank U Chicken really helps.
Orange coffee is located in the same strip as Honey pig, MJ Taco, and Naru Sushi. 4 stars for the coffee. Not so many for other desserts. It is a petite cafe that provides better coffee than most places I have tried. I usually get coffees/coffee related menus and haven't tried any other drinks, but so far their coffees are on point. Although I haven't tried other drinks than coffee, I did try their pastry menus such as honey bread and macaroons. Honey bread tasted good but they were too small and price was steep for that small of a size. Macaroons were rock-frozen, grainy, and bland. read more

I love the giant fruit snow bowls. Those are delicious and so refreshing in the summer heat. The interior is nice and gives off that vintage France vibe. There's more parking if you turn to the left side since the parking right is a little awkward with everyone trying to get in and out of the plaza right in front of the building. read more

Small, casual coffee joint focusing on high quality roast. You can find more expensive coffee options here and seems like the place for coffee aficionados. I come here here for green tea latte and sweet potato latte. They make the lattes sweet so I tell them to go easy on the sugar. The desserts here are decent. I see a lot of people getting the honey dew melon shaved ice so I jumped on the band wagon. Pretty good except a little more condense milk please. read more
This is one of the cutest cafes I've ever been to!! The interior seemed kind of small to me, but I'm sure it's because it was pretty packed on the Monday afternoon my friend and I visited. It was a beautiful day outside so we sat on their patio! My friend ordered a sweet potato latte and the melon patbingsoo. I wasn't a fan of the sweet potato latte (I'm not a huge fan of sweet potatoes in general) BUT OH MY GOD. THE PATBINGSOO. For those of you that aren't familiar with patbingsoo, it's Korean shaved iced. American shaved ice usually consists of broken up ice pieces coated in a sugary syrup, but Korean shaved ice is finely shaved ice covered in toppings. This one in particular was served INSIDE OF A MELON. IT WAS AWESOME. The ice was definitely shaved mixed in with condensed milk and topped with little balls of melon that was scooped from the melon that the dessert was served in. Also topped with red beans!! IT WAS SO GOOD. Hands down one of the BEST patbingsoos that I have EVER had. It's a lot bigger in person so if you do decide to get one, think about sharing!! read more

we ordered a bread order, and about 4 drinks. Because it was busy, we sat outside in the cold. When a table opened up we decided to go in. I asked the guy cleaning the table if we can sit there, and he goes "oh really?" and he kept asking all these questions like did you order anything insinuating that we didn't and kept questioning me. One person in our group had bubble tea from kungfu tea (a neighboring store) because they don't like coffee there. After all the questioning he ultimately said, we don't allow outside food and drinks. We ordered thirty dollars worth of things and he didn't allow us in. After showing our dissatisfaction, we told them we wanted to to-go everything. He finally tells his worker to tell us we can sit inside after we requested to-go everything. read more

I've been here about a handful of times and had a good experience. I've gotten the honeydew shaved ice, macaron, caramel macchiato, and sweet potatoes latte. Definitely can not compare it to Starbucks drinks, not as sweet and has higher caffeine content. The coffee was smooth and had a nutty aroma. read more
Orange coffee bar feels like a but like a Korean Starbucks. It has coffee, lattees, and teas that are similarly priced like a Starbucks. I went to experience the macaroon ice cream that unfortunately was discontinued which was a bit of a disappointment considering all the great reviews other people were leaving it. Ad an alternative I ended up getting the Honey bread is basically toast with kiwi, strawberry, banana, walnuts, chocolate syrup and one scoop of vanilla ice cream. Overall after waiting 10-15 min, I ended up getting the Honey bread. The toast itself was cripsy, while the other flavors were nothing too special. Overall I appreciate the amount of toast they give but the toast to fruit/ice cream ratio was a little off for me, since I kept getting a heavy feeling from eating the toast without enough balancing of my palate. read more

This is the only bingsoo place around me that uses part/all of the actual fruit! This time, we got the melon bingsoo, and the fruit tasted fresh like they just made it. It took about 15 minutes for it to come out, but it was worth the wait. The artistry of the bingsoo was most definitely Snapchat-worthy, maybe even Instagram-worthy. I have had many bingsoos in South Korea, and this one is very comparable to the ones in Korea. It was kind of tricky to eat, as we did not want to topple the beautiful sculpture of carved melon balls, but because of the plate under the melon, we could still ravage the bingsoo with relative ease. The ice cream and red bean was a refreshing combination with the melon, making it a perfect dessert for the summertime. The cafe itself was quite small and cramped, as there were a lot of people there, but the group of three people I went with did not have a hard time finding a seat, but it might get more complicated if you go with a group of 5 or more people. I will likely be back again! read more

This place is smaller than I thought but the decoration is simple and nice. My friend and I ordered 3 macarons, green tea frap, and a cafe mocha. The bill came out to be about $11. Then we decided to get the honey bread which was about $8+. My green tea was a but bland but the honey bread was really good! We were too busy talking and didn't realize one thing until we got home....they forgot our macarons!!!! And I don't even have a receipt to go back (they didn't give me a receipt.) Idk if I'll come back here, but if I do, it'll be just for the honey bread. read more
This review is only for their watermelon shaved ice. I haven't tried their coffee so couldn't really review on that. However, I love their shaved ice in the watermelon. For $12.99 you get Snow typed ice inside a watermelon bowl that is piled with scooped watermelons and topped with condensed milk, red beans, and whipped cream. Simple enough but it's delicious and refreshing. These are small watermelons and they don't really contain much ice but did I say it was delicious?! read more

I absolutely adore this cafe! I'm half tempted to give it 5 stars - but I'll wait on that as this was only my first visit, but I'm sure it'll be there in no time! Aesthetically, Orange Coffee Bar seems to be your average Korean bakery - there's a fairly large dessert and pastry menu (the bingsu in particular is quite impressive - a must try!), ad well a quite comprehensive coffee and tea menu. We were both completely impressed by the care and precision of the preparation - not only is the presentation just lovely, but of great taste quality. The boyfriend has proclaimed it "the best coffee" he's ever tasted (and he's had his fair share). The green tea latte was no different - delicious, and the best I've had in awhile. The space is adorable, bright and cutesy, with a calming vibe. It's clear from the decor, they really do know and love coffee - there's an entire selection of various coffee "cookbooks" and other coffee related manuals. The staff was sweet and and our drinks were prepared efficiently but again with such impressive precision! I wish there was a location closer - but there's no doubt we'll be regular patrons from now on! read more

This place focuses on good coffee and while there are many spots to grab a cup of coffee or espresso in the area you will not find the taste of your coffee anywhere else. In addition to the coffee they offer an array of freshly prepared fruit juices and shakes. I personally like the kiwi, but ask that they limit the added sugar. Comfortable atmosphere and super friendly staff! I highly recommend if you are in the area! read more
I visited exactly a week ago and I gotta say, I can't stop thinking about this bakery. I can't believe I've haven't heard of it until just recently. FOOD: - Honey Bread || this is my all-time favorite. It's not too much and heavy and it's great for sharing. The pre-sliced thick sliced toast is heated up and pre-sliced so that it makes it easier for you to tear instead of using a knife. The honey toast is topped with one scoop of ice cream. You can order additional scoops for an additional small charge. We opted for two scoops of vanilla. The toast is also topped with fruits like kiwi and strawberries. Whip Cream is provided as well on the top of it all. A sliced banana is plated on the side of the dessert. To finish the look of the dessert, it is drizzled with chocolate syrup and a dash of powdered sugar. This is probably my favorite dessert of all time now. I cannot wait 'til the next time I'm here again for this. - White Chocolate Caramel Macchiato || this drink is a twist to the traditional caramel macchiato. I think it tastes like the traditional, but on a lighter note and it doesn't feel like it weighs your stomach down or makes you feel too full after you drink it all. If you don't want a coffee or drink that is heavy, I would suggest the Whilte Chocolate Caramel Macchiato. - Green Tea Latte || my friend ordered this drink and I was able to have a taste. I think it's good and tastes just like how Green Tea should taste. I think you must have to really enjoy green tea as it does taste somewhat on the stronger side of green tea and not weak like how Starbucks makes this drink. Overall, great drink for Green Tea lovers out there. - Nutella Latte || my friend ordered this drink and I was able to have a taste. If you love chocolate, especially Nutella, I would say this is the drink for you. It remind me of Hot Chocolate, but mixed with a coffee taste. I think it's a great drink as with all of the drinks that they have on the menu. Fantastic drinks and it's just so hard to choose just one to have. AMBIANCE: The staff are very professional and they know that they are doing with the cofee and drinks. They make it just right. They bring the orders to your table instead of them calling out numbers or names for you to pick up your order at the counter. I like this type of service better. It means less people are crowding the cashier/front counter. The establishment provides a very chill and relaxed environment for studying, friends catching up, or just a after dinner or lunch pick me up. The decor is so cute and I especially love the book shelf of mugs. You've got to check the place out to see what I am seeing. There is complimentary wifi and the password is: hawaiikona. The establishment is located in the same shopping center as MJ Korean Tacos & Wings and also the famous Honey Pig KBBQ. Overall, I am excited that I found a new place to hang out at in Duluth and will be coming by more often. I can't wait to try out their massive honey dew shaved ice and their macaron ice cream. read more
I always order 2 things when i am here: black ice coffee and shave ice cantaloupe:) the ice cream is so good, creamy, and delicious. And the best part is its right next to Honey Pig. So I usually come here for dessert right after Honey Pig :) read more

I have never write a bad review unless I truly believe that the business have crossing the line by putting customer health at risk. Ordered this watermelon shaved ice, when it came out we tried a piece of the watermelon and right after we tried it we know that this watermelon is BAD and it Not Editable. We called the servers over to explain our worried but both of the servers told us that why didnt we asked them which fruit is good before we ordered. WTF! If you know your food is not editable why the F you served your customer. 3 of my gf got sicked from this watermelon shaved after a bite of it. The servers didnt even offered to change out our order, what kind of customer service is this. We left out of there, lost $13 and we got sicked from the watermelon. If yelp have negative star I would totally give them that. Beware of this place. read more

BEST hot chocolate I ever had! The man who worked there recommended my friend the sweet potato latte and it's amazing. The hint of almond is a nice touch. The drinks weren't made hot to the touch but just right enough to drink it immediately. Definitely recommend this place. New coffee spot! read more
After my second visit to Orange Coffee Bar I thought it merited a review. I was greeted when I walked in and that's always a plus. The young lady that worked the register made some helpful suggestions. I got the sweet potato latte. It sounded strange, but surprisingly it was delicious! There is a map on the wall of the coffee belt with several misspelled countries. Maybe I'm just a stickler for proper spellings. read more

I've been coming to Orange Coffee Bar since it's opening a few years ago and always enjoy the yum-nums here :D [DRINKS] I'm not a big fan of coffee so honestly, I haven't tried any of their coffee drinks. I KNOW! Shame on me. This place IS called Orange COFFEE Bar. But, there's a reason why I never step out of my comfort zone to order a coffee. This is because they have a drink that's so delicious that whenever I come, I can't imagine not ordering it. What is this spectacularly addictive drink? THE KIWI JUICE. Oh my goodness, taking a sip of the kiwi juice is like having a tropical island in my mouth. AN ISLAND OF KIWIS. I've never had juice so fresh before. There honestly is nothing but fresh squeezed kiwi in the cup, with some ice on top. The juice itself is just like taking a big bite into a kiwi, it has a sweet but tangy taste. I've also tried their strawberry and banana juice. It's also very tasty but just isn't as unique as the kiwi juice. The strawberry and banana is still better than most others I've tried elsewhere. Very fresh and tasty. The juices are ~$4.99. [DESSERTS] I know Orange Coffee has added in a line of breakfast/dessert toasts, I haven't tried those yet so I'll definitely need to revisit and then update my review. I have, however, tried and loved their honeydew shaved ice. This stuff, priced at $12.99, definitely isn't cheap. But hey, you get a good amount of dessert! The honeydew shaved ice comes served on half a honeydew. In it, you'll find little balls of honeydew, vanilla ice cream, red bean, and of course, shaved ice! Make sure you get a little bit of everything in your first bite. IT'S JUST SO YUMMY! [SERVICE] Pretty simple, go up to the counter to order. The Ahjussi that owns the place is super nice! [LOCATION&ATMOSPHERE] A quaint and cozy little café located in the same square as Honey Pig and Kungfu Tea. read more

Anybody know if I can purchase coffee beans from this store? Some coffee shops sell their own beans. I really like their coffee bean choice so I'm curious to know if I can purchase beans from them.
Yes the do sell their coffee! They have their normal house coffee that you can go and get anytime but for specialty roasts you must order 3-4 days in advance!
