I have been a patient at this practice for several years and have always been treated with kindness and respect - until now. A few weeks ago I had an appointment which went well. I ordered bifocal sunglasses and a set of new frames for every day and updated lenses. It was, even after using insurance an expensive visit. After a couple of weeks I received a call that my glasses were ready to pick up. I gathered them and took them home. After arriving home I tried on my every day glasses and discovered that the lenses were incorrect. I called the office and was told it wasn't their fault (no apology or accountability) but they could order a new set of lenses for me. Another couple of weeks went by and they called me to say the lenses had arrived so I would need to make an appointment to come in and wait while they traded out the lenses. Not particularly helpful or flexible with an appointment. I arrived today a couple of minutes early and opened the door to the store. The Dr was standing in the waiting room area and all of the staff was facing him. Someone asked me my name and grabbed a bag with I assume the lenses. I felt uncomfortable with everyone looking at me and the Dr said "I am holding a meeting and would like to continue". One of the staff asked me to wait outside! In shock - I did. I have never been treated that way - ever. I waited a few minutes and one of the staff came out with my glasses. No apologies, told me I was early and took no responsibility for the mistake, the rudeness and apparently had never been exposed to a decent level of customer service. Seamless process and overall experience. I came in for both a eye exam, glasses and contacts, so the works! What I loved; thorough eye exam, very knowledgable staff and optometrist, their assistants are super helpful in setting up my insurance before I come in and glasses take about a week to be ready. In terms of pricing, I thought it was also very reasonable. For contacts, their prices were comparable to your big online retailers. And for glasses, there were a lot of choose from for any price range. They are very busy on the weekends, so if you can come on a weekday I would recommend it. Their hours are also not consistent throughout the week, so double check before swinging by. read more

Exceptional Experience. Same day appointment. Very friendly support staff. The Doctor gave me an unrushed and detailed exam. He spoke with me at some length about my options and answered all of my questions in detail. The exam prices are very reasonable, as were the glasses I purchased. I had been procrastinating for years about a thorough eye exam. In my early 50's now and with squinting a routine part of my life, I had finally had enough. The whole experience was very pleasant and each member of the staff was professional and attentive. There was no upsell or constant invite for more expensive options. I'm a big " value " guy. I was searching for a new optometrist and found this 5-star place on Yelp. Yep, definitely 5 stars. Service was A+ and trust was 100%. I sent an inquiry on insurance coverage and making an appointment through their website. Within a day, they had called to confirm that my insurance was good and mad sure my friend and I could be scheduled for an eye exam in their tightest month of December. The entire process was straightforward. On the day of the appointment, we walked in, filled out our forms, and had the pretest right away. This is way different from my previous optometry, where I usually waited at least 30 minutes before I stepped foot into the pretest room. Interestingly, it was my first time seeing a non-dreadful eye pressure test. Instead of traditionally blowing a puff of air into your eye which sometimes took forever, they had some light-up handheld device that looked like a souvenir from Disneyland and maybe tickled your eyelash. So magical... ;) For the eye exam + contact lens exam, Dr. Lui was thorough and explained things every clearly. He's also very chill and friendly, so I didn't hesitate asking questions. In the end, he said my prescription rose by a tiny increment (+0.25). I was surprised he continued to ask more questions on how I use my eyes everyday (like staring at a computer screen versus driving for long periods of time), but he explained that if I felt fine right now and am completely functional in the the tasks I usually do, then I didn't have to bump up my prescription. Now that's cool! At my old optometry, if that ever happened I would've been forced up to my new prescription, sometimes rounded up, which quite possibly could've strained my eyes until they got used to it. Here, I felt good and also impressed. It felt so easy to learn from Dr. Lui about eye care when he related it to my everyday life and long term. At the end of our exam we ended up having a hard time confirming our insurance coverage because we didn't realize it was unique. The entire office staff was patient and took the trouble of contacting the insurance company to get it resolved. Overall, the service here is fantastic. Appointment Scheduling Messaged through their website and got a reply within a day, and set up an appointment a few days later. Had a little paperwork to fill out at the office, but it went pretty quick. Location A few miles north of where I usually hangout, but still close. Tucked in the back left corner of the zion market shopping plaza (if you're facing the plaza from Irvine Blvd.) Checkup (most important to me for any doctor visits) A friend suggested Dr Lui and I can totally see why. During my appointment I was able to ask all my silly eye questions without feeling rushed. The doctor was very knowledgeable and really took the time to explain everything. I also got some free eye lubricant samples for my dry eyes. Frames and Pickup There was a ton of frames to choose from, but I just wanted my same ol comfy pair of Ray Bans with an updated prescription. They were able to order it for me and it arrived in about a week. I went in the office to grab them on a busy Saturday with quite a few patients there, but still got assistance within minutes. After a quick frames adjustment, I was out the door and getting used to my new prescription. read more

This was my first optometry visit in my life. The office was clean, organized, and the staff was amazing! The optometrist assistant walked me through all the small test needed and made me comfortable and well informed. The Dr was also very attentive and not trying to sell me anything. You could tell that he likes what he is doing and truly cares for the patient. This is only a review about looking for a new pair of prescription sunglasses. The woman who helped me was very nice and helped me choose a few different pairs of Maui Jim's. Unfortunately, they didn't have a very large selection (I was told they had one of the largest selections in the area). She told me she would order them and have them within a few days; almost 3wks later I stopped by and was told "they just came in and I was going to call you". Unfortunately, the ones we chose didn't work out so we looked for others. Same scenario again......she told me it would be a few day and I have yet been contacted (another 3 weeks). I had gotten lasik in 2012 and noticed my vision was getting a little blurry while driving at night. I was referred to Dr. Lui and was very pleased with my first experience back to an optometrist! His office had this high-tech scan machine that showed me how healthy/unhealthy my retinas were which I thought was super neat. I've lived in New York, Hawaii and in LA and this is the best optometrist I've been to. The service was excellent and they have very advanced equipment. His exams are always very thorough and he takes the time to answer questions and make recommendations. Follow up review. I have been with Dr Lui since I moved to Irvine in 2019. He is amazing! His staff is amazing! He takes the time to listen and explain things. He has been doing my follow up recovery appointments after my PRK so I have been seeing him more frequently. They have taken extra precautions in their office due to pandemic. They sanitize equipment, pens, and display glasses between use. They even have the little tissues by the front door to use to open the door at the handle. read more

I was so impressed with the professionalism and responsiveness at Optometry Corner! Dr. Cho was thorough, and the entire staff was extremely helpful when I ended up having a problem with the RX being filled on my glasses, even though I had them made elsewhere with my existing frames. They carefully assessed the glasses, did a 2nd eye check to verify the prescription, and Dr. Cho even wrote a note identifying the issue for me to bring to the store where I'd need to get them re-made. Per a very strong, positive recommendation by my husband, I recently visited Dr. Lui's office for a much needed eye exam. Previously, I had the same Optometrist for a number of years (since I was a teenager getting my initial glasses). I was very impressed by the care, patience and sunny disposition of the entire staff.
