Everyone at Optique does a really fine job. Ali Robatjazi is absolutely fantastic! He took the time to select the perfect frames for me. It would have taken me hours without his expertise. He also took me through all the lens options, advised me and made recommendations to make sure my new glasses are exactly right. Best customer care in town. Thanks Ali! read more

We moved to Austin almost 3 years ago and I have been to several eye doctors searching for someone with the qualities of Dr Rhodes and her staff. She is knowledgeble, thorough and very enthusiastic about helping me with my vision needs. Her staff is always friendly and helpful, as well. This office has fun events too....I attended the eyewear trunk show, met with the SALT rep and made my selection from SALT's entire collection. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for a doctor that cares about you! read more

This has been my optometrist since i moved downtown 4 years ago. I always have a great experience and great high end glasses options that stand out in the workplace. Every member of the staff gives 5 star service. Some boutique locations will bug the heck out of you and up sell you, but it is not the case here. If you need help, they are right with you, but if you are sorting through which frames fit you best, they will let you be. I'd recommend them to anyone downtown. read more

So excited that I went here. Hated to leave my previous optometrist but needed to find something closer to work. This was perfect! I am sooo amazed and pleased with the results! Thanks for making my visit enjoyable even in this monsoon we are having. read more

I had the most amazing glasses shopping experience of my life at optique! The selection of frames is impressive and it was not hard to find too many frames to choose from. Stephen was sooooo helpful and really paid attention to what I wanted. He helped me find frames that were fresh and looked great on me. Plus, they were covered by my crappy insurance plan and I really got a steal! You have to stop in and ask for Stephen!! read more

It's a beautiful space with a wide selection of frames. The staff is very personable and helpful, and seem to really enjoy working there. A very pleasant experience, and I'm happy with the glasses I picked. read more

Very friendly, even with our 4 year old. They fixed a screw in our glasses, which has been fixed 2 other time by other shops. He took time to explain why the screws keep falling out (turns out we really need to send these back to manufacturer. Didn't charge us anything for about 10-15 minutes of his repair time. Even had jelly beans for our kid while we waited. Awesome. read more

Got some fresh frames and lenses and really enjoyed the experience. Tons to choose from including some awesome independent brands. What could have been an overwhelming experience was made easy. I can be picky to a fault, but they stuck with me and guided me to some specs I'm really excited about. Have to wait a few days since my choice had some custom options but totally worth it. Highly recommend. read more

I had a fascinating customer experience here. Trying my very first pair of glasses, I didn't know what to do to get this right. The staff at Optique took my 'less than well-skilled' glasses-buying event and turned it around. A terrific staff and superior customer service experience. This team really knows how to take what could have been a bad experience and made it right. Great work all the way around. Lots of great selection and a crew who really really know about their products. (I was even really impressed that the team is so well trained in how to help inform, guide and move you along without trying to advocate of influence a specific pair) And, not only do you get a great experience here, but you can walk through Trader Joe's on the way out and buy a bottle of wine to celebrate your purchase! read more

The doctor and staff were all very friendly and got me in and out of there in about half an hour. Overall a good experience. The technology they use is new and seems to be much more accurate than some. They gave a discount for paying in cash without using insurance. read more

Best Service, Selection, and Staff! I bought a pair of replacement frames at their South Lamar location. It's normal for me to need a few adjustments before a new pair of glasses fits my face the way I want them. Staff has been awesome in getting my glasses adjusted to exactly how I need them done! I've been coming here for years, since their 360 building location and will continue to recommend others to them for eyewear and eye exam needs. read more

I had my first appointment this spring with Dr. Rhodes and it was a perfectly pleasant and professional experience. The office is sparklingly clean and modern, the receptionist/assistant was very friendly and carried out the eye measurements before I saw the doctor and was very efficient and competent. Dr. Rhodes was friendly and spent as much time with me as I needed, and there was no feeling of being rushed or impatient. I liked the option of the extra test (I don't recall the name) that they recommended, which wasn't an option at my previous optometrist I saw a year prior. As for the frames, there is an awesome selection of really cool and stylish frames, including a great selection of lower-priced frames from SALT, a brand I hadn't seen before but I loved all of them. My prescription came in early and they were perfect. Last year I wanted to visit this optometrist but my insurance wasn't adequate at the time, but the receptionist still took a lot of time explaining to me their rates and trying to make an appointment for me. A year later, she was still there and was so helpful again. She even spent a good 20 minutes fixing some bent-out-of-shape sunglasses (which I had not purchased there) for me. I only wish they had later hours at least one day a week or a Saturday exam time, although I know this is pretty standard for the profession, but it would be more convenient for me as I don't work in the downtown area. I couldn't be happier with the service and my new glasses. read more

Not a perfect selection of frames but that requires an 18 hour trip to HK and possibly a Platinum Amex for that rare one of a kind frame at 2K$ you might fall in love with and cannot let go.....but for me its the best selection in Austin right now. Brian and Ali are great and will give you great feedback to select the best frames and will sort out your lenses and insurance capably. Pro tip- you might consider clip on sunshades which are custom made by their connection in California. The prices are a bit more for some budgets but the quality is remarkable. read more

Do your research! This place charges outrageous amounts for everything. The doctor and staff are friendly enough and the office is beautiful. The frames offered are nothing special. I have insurance, GOOD insurance and I still walked out with a bill of $150 and that was with only one box of contacts. Definitely will not be returning for next years eye exam. read more

Dr. Simonek is awesome. Super super friendly, explained everything and enthusiastic! Only one exam room, which made the whole experience pleasant and private (it was calm and not hectic like it can be at other places). I ended up not buying frames there (but went to Gene Rogers instead), but they had a pretty good selection as far as my taste goes. Can't wait til my next eye exam! read more

I LOVE this place!!! I have worn glasses the majority of my life. I also moved to Austin about a year and a half ago and still in search of different providers that I am comfortable using for the long haul. Dr. Rhodes and Ashley Kline quickly earned their way onto that list. They are quick, efficient and super helpful - AND have a great selection of glasses with prices that are affordable. I am also super impressed that they follow up when they say they will and continue to do so even after everything is pretty much done. They truly aspire to give great customer service! read more

fantastic selection of frames, and a super staff optique has. i went to several places around Austin, and none of them could even get near the quality of optique. in addition, optique helped me select my frame, which was a heroic feat in itself. they had my glasses done incredibly fast. afterward, they worked with me for months (!!!) to perfectly adjust my frame. finally, they have a 1yr warranty on the lenses, which came in handy after i accidentally scratched the lenses. all in all, excellent store. read more

Awesome customer service, top-end equipment, great location, fair prices and a good selection. I highly recommend getting your eyewear from Dr. Rhodes - you won't be disappointed! read more

I and my husband had a wonderful experience with Ashley and Dr Rhodes. They were both accommodating especially with a newborn with us. They also have a great selection of frames. I'm a fan and will definitely go back to Optique. read more

My eye doc is a good guy, but was having optician turnover issues in his office and although he tried, he didn't have the proper optician skills to measure properly for my first ever progressives on rimless frames. Which resulted in a nightmare experience of frustration after the lenses came in messed up twice with slow lab turnaround. I found Bryan at Optique and he remedied the situation. After a detailed measuring process, he and his lab produced lenses that work great and the progressives experience is now going well. He is a calm voice of reason at all times, with a high level of expertise. I had used another high-end glasses shop in town ten years ago, and although they did good work back then on my single vision glasses, when it came to the progressives lenses discussion and recommendations, their feedback left me with more questions than answers. I definitely recommend Optique, they know what they're doing when it comes to progressives, and their lab turnaround time is impressive. read more

I went to Optique's new Seaholm office recently to have my eyes examined by Dr. Zemanovich. After the exam, I picked out the perfect frames ("Ava" by Barton Perreira) with excellent help from Nyssa. In the past I've had problems finding cute frames that are large enough for the progressive lenses I need, but Optique has many attractive frames to choose from. I picked up my glasses today and they're just right. read more

My experience with this business has been subpar. From my exam all the way through simple follow ups weeks later I felt very much like a number rather than a person. The exam itself was extremely rushed, and quite oddly started with someone who was not the doctor running through a series of things with me that are part of the eye exam at other optometrists I've been to, before the doctor came in and rushed through the actual exam. I don't know why a doctor didn't handle all of the points of the exam, because that's what I'm paying for, nor do I understand why the doctor was so rushed to get me out of there. The only reason I can think of is that this is a volume business, where they try to squeeze as many people in there as possible in a day. At no point was it explained to me what was happening, or why someone other than a doctor was testing my vision. I felt like a nuisance asking basic follow up questions because they seemed so short on time. I also wasn't confident that my exam was thorough, because it was so rushed. In subsequent interactions with this business such as ordering lenses, etc, I have experienced the same behavior and treatment, and felt very much like a nuisance rather than a paying customer. I will not be returning to this location and when asked for referrals for eye exams in the Austin area, I will not be referring people here. Also, I was charged for services I did not consent to, and it was not until I was paying for my exam and noticed that the fee charged was much higher than my copay that I even became aware of these extra things. Overall, not a place I feel good about bringing my business to in a city where there are so many other options. read more

Great experience at Optique today. Last year I switched from another optometrist that I really liked but I wanted more stylish frames that would still be covered by my Davis Vision plan. Optique has everything - great doctors, opticians, modern frames, and modern store interior. I've seen both Dr. Z and Dr. Bailey who gave great advice about lasik and my now aging eyes since I hit the big 4-0. Ali Robatjazi has helped me on multiple occasions and is a terrific optician as well as very personable. He is helpful in selecting frames that accomplish what you want and look great. He's quick at figuring out what looks good or bad, and he's spot on. Today I got both sunglasses and glasses. Ali pointed me toward black frames that I thought might be too dark but they look perfect. Completely different than my other pair so I'm excited I have more options in the mornings! I'm so glad I made the switch last year to Optique. I highly recommend them. read more

I couldn't be happier with my recent experience with Optique. First of all, they take my insurance when some places in town don't. Secondly, they were super friendly. I love that they're as paper free as they can be (in trying to be green they have you do everything online and scan in forms you have to complete that are laminated.) Dr. Rhodes and her staff took their time and answered all of my questions. They had this awesome machine that took the place of having to dialate your pupils (which I hate...I'd pay extra for that any time...) Great selection of frames (they were super helpful when I had like 15 I liked and helped me narrow it down). The frames came in quickly and the glasses are great (I can't believe how poorly I was seeing now that I have ones that actually work for me!) Great overall experience. I'll definitely go back (and probably will soon to order prescription sunglasses!) Thanks Optique! read more

I truly cannot say enough about how much I love Optique. Dr Zemanovich was very helpful and answered all of my ridiculous questions about my eyesight. All of the testing is very thorough and uses a lot of new technology to pin point your prescription. The staff makes you feel incredibly comfortable. Through my frame/lens buying process, the entire staff was constantly helpful. Tiffany in particular helped me fit the right frames to my face over the course of two months, we tried on so many pairs, and she was helping me size them, making sure my eyelashes wouldn't hit the lens, making sure my cheeks didn't hit the bottoms of frames. Seriously, the most patient kind people I've ever worked with! I ended up getting pretty much the most perfect pair of glasses I've ever had, perfectly adjusted, so comfortable, and the whole experience start to finish taught me that Optique really cares that their clients are just..extremely satisfied with the whole process. I will be going to Optique for the rest of my time in Austin, and I will send everyone I know to this seriously awesome spot!! Cannot. praise. enough..!!! read more

I just had a fantastic experience here for my first eyeglasses purchase. The store is very tastefully decorated and has a very helpful and attentive staff. Their eyeglass section is one of the best in town. Huge variety of hand picked eyeglass options. So so many cute options (sunglasses too)! The checkout and insurance process was absolutely painless. They even had my frames and lenses in stock so i was able to leave with my glasses that day. 10/10 would recommend. Can't wait to go back for my next pair. read more

i like these guys a lot. when my contacts tore (they are very thin), they lent me several trial pairs until my insurance renewed. they are also friendly, have a nice clean office, and generally run on time. docs are all friendly. i definitely recommend them! read more

All I can say is that Dr. Rhodes and her staff handled my situation so graciously. They squeezed in a new appointment for me, wrote me a new prescription, and have even offered to trade my previous boxes of lenses for ones with the correct prescription. That's above and beyond. As always, the place felt cheerful, organized, and so professional. read more

BEST optical experience of my life!! Fantastic staff, who displayed extreme patience with my indecisive optical decisions. They delivered the best service AND the most knowledgeable decision concerning the PERFECT glasses for my face shape. Never been more excited to rock my new glasses! read more

My visit to Optique was perfect in every way. From the ease of making the appointment (even as a new patient), to the beyond friendly staff, and using my insurance to purchase contacts. Parking was simple and they validate up to an hour. You are greeted with a drink of your choice: cold brew coffee, topo, beer, or wine! Chris and Dr. Z were super sweet through the whole exam and contact fitting. It definitely doesn't hurt that the office is gorgeous and although I was not looking for glasses this time it looks like they have an amazing selection. read more

Dr. Z has been nothing short of amazing! He has been very professional, as is the rest of the staff at Optique. He was able to diagnose me with an unfortunate eye disease and referred me to a specialist here in Austin. Dr. Z made it easy to go between both the specialist and Optique to help with my condition. After my procedure, Dr.Z has worked with me on getting hard contact lenses which have helped me see the world more clearly. I would recommend Optique to anyone in need of eye care. You are in great hands here. read more

The team at Optique was incredibly friendly on the phone and in person, sending me insurance forms via email to complete paperwork in advance of my visit. When I arrived on site, there was hardly a 5 minute wait before I saw the doctor and got squared away with new RX and contacts for the year. My questions were answered professionally, and they followed up with me after my appointment. Honestly, it was an ideal experience and I'm sure I'll be a customer of theirs for many years to come! read more

The equipment is state of the art and Dr. Rhodes is a cute texas girl who knows her stuff and is patient enough to explain it. The exam was as thorough as I have ever received and my vision is great! I left with a trial pair of contacts, several bottles of trial solution, printed copies of my prescriptions (even though I didn't ask), and a smile for about $100 after my insurance discount. The office is very clean office in the new 360 nueces tower and they have a nice selection of trendy/young/professional eye wear. What's best is they didn't push any extra products or lasik like the chain optometrists always do. read more
