Gorgeous frames and terrific service. My prescription has been perfect every year, and the professionalism carries through to the team members who consult and support selecting and customizing the perfect fit of final glasses. (My husband and I both appreciate how Bryan is meticulous with the fit of our frames.) Eye glasses are as high impact as fine jewelry on the impression you make on others. You can trust this team to ensure that you see - and are seen - at your best. read more

WOW! What a huge help this store has been. Especially, Glenda. It was hard for me to find the perfect frame, and she hit the nail! Took her time with me and my husband. Definitely coming back for my next pair and recommending to my coworkers! Thanks Glenda! read more

I just got a handwritten card in the mail written by the doctor telling me how wonderful it is to have me as a new patient. A+++ customer service. read more

I had a great experience at Optique. Their staff is so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't purchase eye glasses from them however I ordered a pair online and Ashley provided me with my prescription as soon as I asked her for it. She was very helpful in ordering my contact lenses and making sure that the ones I ordered worked well for me. They have a great selection of sunglasses and I just received an email telling me I can take $25 off because my birthday month is April so that is really exciting! Overall I highly recommend them; well priced, great service, awesome selection! read more

I was in the market for a good eye doctor and yelped the Austin and Round Rock areas for one. I have to agree with everyone else that wrote a review for Optique!! EXCELLENT!! The reviews were so promising and after calling to talk with Ashley to set up an appointment for myself and my daughter, I managed to talk my friend into getting an exam also! We were all very impressed with Dr. Rhodes and Ms. Kleine. Dr. Rhodes and Ashley Kleine were pleasant, easy going, and extremely efficient! Both were very familiar with insurance plans and the options covered. At no point at all was I ever pressured into add-ons for my daughter's glasses. Ashley was very patient with the whole ordering process. (If you've shopped with a teenager before...you know exactly what I mean! HA!) Location was convenient and very easy to find. The frame choices were very contemporary and reasonably priced. Optique has my business from now on for our eye needs. And I would not hesitate to highly suggest them to everyone I know! read more

I was looking to purchase a pair of prescription sunglasses. Simple. Walked in - Waited for 15 minutes, never acknowledged, but, rather, ignored by the various associates walking around. Walked out. read more

I have a new prescription and I've been shopping for new frames so I have stopped at Optique twice in the last few weeks. It's a very convenient location for people who work downtown. The first time I was greeted by someone in a rather chilly manner; the second time I was not greeted at all. (Though I saw at least three employees there.) The selection of well-made and stylish frames is excellent. But prices are nowhere to be found. So if a customer can't even get someone to say hello, how can a customer get pricing? I will find another place to get new glasses. This place was really disappointing. read more

The people working were very nice but I felt way too rushed throughout the experience that it wasn't comfortable.

The staff was nice and friendly. I received my order in a timely manner. My fiancé also went here and that is why it's 4 stars because he didn't not have quite the same experience. read more

I have been to this location and the Lamar location. Very knowledgable and helpful staff. I had Brian assist me, I ordered some frames that didn't fit me well. He helped me get some frames that fit much better and cut my lenses for me in like 20 minutes. Overall great service. read more

I was very impressed with my first visit to Optique for both exam and new glasses. I felt like Dr. Rhodes really took the time to understand my needs and situation. Ali was very helpful in steering me to the right pair of frames at a price I thought was fair. Visit with confidence. read more

I really like this shop. Great people and GREAT service. Amazing selection of upper end eyewear too!

This was one of the most uptight and rude eyeglass places I have been to, I walked in and there was no sales girl. When I finally found her, she gave me the Im better than you up and down look, and then ignored me. I had heard the store was a high end boutique with beautiful eye wear. I was looking to treat myself to some new eye-glasses. I am sad to say their designer label was thin but her attitude was high. read more

The people here are really nice, all the equipment is brand new and I think its really neat that as a doctor's office they've gone paperless (even the forms you fill out are with dry erase markers). But sometimes in going paperIess things get lost in translation and my prescription got screwed up. I'd already ordered contacts so I was stuck with a box of contacts that didn't work. Like I said, super nice people, but screwing up somebody's prescription is kind of a biggie in the eye business. read more

Ask for Brian. He graciously accommodated my need to get my sunglasses tightened as a walk in and at no cost. I will absolutely be back here for additional services. read more

I lost my glasses while tubing the Comal river on vacation in Central Texas. After a friend dropped me off downtown early in the morning, I ambled half-blind to the nearest optometrist, asking the occasional passerby to read the street signs for me. I got to Optique a half hour before they opened, but could see someone already inside. I was glad to wait, but went ahead and called to see if I could get an appointment. I explained my situation to the person I spoke to on the phone, and she immediately let me in, despite not being open. They did not have any appointments available all day, and getting new glasses would take several days, so she offered me directions to a few competitors who might have better availability. She also mentioned that she might have contacts in stock that would fit me, if I had a prescription. I called back home to my DC optician, who faxed over an expired prescription. Within minutes, I had two new pairs of contacts and a solution/case kit, and I was just $20 poorer for it. The best part, of course, is that I had my vision restored in so short a time, so the rest of my day wasn't shot. I was extremely impressed by the kindness and level of service I received. I mean, opening up early and going out of their way to help me with something that barely brought in any money for them shows where their priorities lie. I don't live in Austin, and I'm very sorry that I won't be able to bring them my own business anymore, but those of you who live around here really should. They're awesome! read more

Even though I did find another practitioner I wanted to follow up and let you all know about the response I received from Optique which was much more than expected. In addition to an email and note on Yelp I also received a personal phone call and apology from the receptionist. I appreciate this attention to customer service and hope that you receive the same read more

I'm fairly new to the whole glasses thing, but I have three primary criteria that I look for in an eye doctor: affordability, great frames, and seeing better when I walk out with my new specs. 1) Affordability: check. Due to the hip downtown office, I expected Optique to be overpriced. It wasn't. They worked with our insurance and didn't give us the run-around about add-ons. Dr. Rhodes also didn't give me a hard time about the fact that I am in grad school and didn't want to spring for the screening tests that weren't covered by my insurance. 2) Great frames: check. A good selection of frames, lots of variety, and stylish frames at every price point. 3) Seeing better when you walk out with new glasses: check. At our last eye doctor, my husband felt like he was way under-prescribed. After leaving Optique with our new glasses, we both couldn't stop marveling at all the things we could actually now see. As a total bonus, Dr. Rhodes and her staff are very friendly and great to work with. I'm really happy to have found Optique. read more

What a great experience. I had been procrastinating on getting glasses for quite some time, since I didn't have a lot of time to shop. I was pleasantly surprised that the whole process only took about 30 minutes - and I ended up with some glasses that I love. Ali was a gem - he was so honest and thoughtful in his feedback. He helped me find the best frames to match my face shape, personality and budget. I highly recommend Optique and Ali, in particular. read more

I found this gem while searching literally every eye shop in Austin for high quality, professional looking frames. While I am all for the "eclectic" Austin look, I unfortunately don't work in a setting where that would be appropriate. Also, a lot of the shops around here offer lower quality glasses priced like high end frames. Opened recently, Optique had just what I was looking for. They offer a wide range of high quality frames at varying prices. If you are in the market for really expensive fashionable glasses, they have those too but don't let the austere, minimalist interior fool you: they offer plenty of lower priced but top quality frames too. Dr. Rhodes (Courtney) and her staff of one do a terrific job - very friendly and attentive. This is a homegrown, local Austin business (which is the best kind). Dr. Rhodes was born in Austin, attended UT, and did her internships here. She is highly competent and very personable. What I most liked is that I never felt pressured to buy a pair of frames and, in fact, they steered me away from a pair of expensive glasses and towards some less expensive frames that they thought were comparable. The service was great, the frames are perfect, and they even through in a free cleaner fluid and cloth. If you are looking for a great selection of frames, fast / friendly / pressure free service, and to support the local economy: you can't go wrong with Optique. I intend to go back for all my future optical needs. read more

if i could give this business less than a 1 star rating i would absolutely do so. my husband has been coming here for a few years and i've gone twice. when i went in for my annual eye exam they ended up charging us for an eye exam and a contact lense fitting even though neither of us have changed contact brands let alone prescriptions in years. next, when we were checking out katrina double charged us and we had to go back to fix the issue. NEXT, katrina never ordered my supply of contacts and i had to come back 2 weeks later to figure out what was going on. the lady told me that katrina never ordered my contacts and that she would try to locate some and call me in the morning. fast forward to the next day and i haven't received any calls or emails and had to go out of my way to call again. HORRRRRIBLE customer service. didn't think the eye doctors were super warm or polite. & to top it all off, i never got an apology during any one of these interactions. read more

Best selection of frames. Bought a nice pair and was so pleased with the service that I tried Dr. Rhodes for my annual exam. Very positive experience! Highest recommendation. read more

Finally an 'eyewear' store that takes my insurance directly aaaaand carries frames that I actually like and can afford. They have a great selection of frames that vary in price and style and the staff was friendly, helpful, and honest. I looked at several stores before coming here and not one came close to meeting my expectations/needs. Buying glasses should always be this painless. Good job duders! read more

Yeah, they're great, and heavy on the service. I've changed my prescription 3 times (due to my error, not theirs) and they have been goddamned champions all the way, never charging me in spite of my repeated errors. The staff are complete dears, their frames are wonderful, and they accept a truly astounding array of insurance. Like you could make up your own insurance and they would probably accept it. read more

Optique Seaholm and Ali, in particular, were a really great experience! I recently decided that I needed to finally get glasses and Optique was a short walk away, so I checked it out. Ali was there that day and really went above and beyond to make me and my wife's experience great! I would definitely go back for my next pair! read more

The store has a beautiful, simple layout and the selection of frames is quite extensive. The service from the front of house staff and Dr. Rhodes herself is great. I love the high-tech instruments for examination. Ashley is an excellent adviser for frame fit and style. I'm lucky to have great insurance coverage so I can go anywhere, but I choose Optique because of the atmosphere, style of the shop and great value-added service. read more

I had an excellent experience at Optique. Their eye exam procedure is thorough and low-stress because they seem to have the latest high-tech equipment. I shopped for a very specific pair of frames, and Ali was very patient in giving me time to try several options before making a decision. He also helped specify the proper lenses to look best in the frames I selected without spending a fortune, and get the most from my insurance plan. I would highly recommend Optique! read more

Cool place unfortunately I had a very bad experience. I bought some very expensive glasses, then after the prescription was wrong I had to play extra to have another set of lenses for the glasses. Total rip off, too expensive and it took forever. read more

I have horrible vision and usually kind of dread eye doctor apts. In the past I've had very pessimistic doctors who are just like "here have fun with your ill-fitting contacts and coke-bottle glasses". Optique was a breath of fresh air. The staff is incredibly kind, the ladies who help with glasses are very informed and VERY patient, haha! There's lots of great stuff to choose from. The doctor I saw, Dr.Z, was also kind and to the point. The whole appointment was very quick (although not rushed, just efficient) and informative. The office is beautiful - albeit a bit tricky to find - and everything seems clean, up-to-date and well cared for. Overall, super satisfying experience, I look forward to continuing my eye care there and hopefully getting some new glasses in the near future! read more

Crisp and clean environment. Refreshments and candy nibbles while you wait. (#foreveryoung they put a little bag of jelly beans in packaging when I picked up my glasses! ) Staff is amazing. Favorite place in Austin for eye exams, glasses, sunglasses and contacts.

I have been wearing glasses since I was a tiny tot. Always went to tso. Because let's face it. If you were born and raised in austin, that's where you went. I grew tired of tso. Long waits, mean staff, even worse-- their waiting area. When we switched vision plans, this place popped up. I called, was able to get my kid scheduled in quickly. Great experience. The rest of the fam went today. ( me, hubby , other kid) here's the summary: Very nice location. Nice and accommodating office staff. Great doctors. Overall, great experience. Highly recommended. Go here instead of tso. You won't be disappointed. read more

ALI ROBATJAZI was amazing and super helpful. Then entire staff was great and I enjoyed my entire experience. The Dr. was amazing and super knowledgeable. ALI went above and beyond to answer my questions and not only helped me adjust my new glasses and select my lenses, but he also took time to adjust my old frames. My entire experience was great! They had my new glassed and frames done and ready for pick up the same day! I highly recommend this store. read more

Outrageous prices on frames and poor patient service. The front desk receptionists were helpful, polite, and great to work with but unfortunately I didn't have as pleasant of an experience during the exam. I felt rushed and just like another number. To top it off the only frames I even remotely liked were $535. I will not be using their services again. Disappointed as this location is very convenient. read more

Having avoided the eye doctor for almost 7 years since my last visit ended in a failed, 3-hr attempt to get contacts in my eyes, I was a bit nervous to make an appointment. I came across the Optomap site and was excited that in those years, a technology that possibly removed the need for dilation had come about. I narrowed down doctors based on who had this and who received the best reviews; Optique won. While my initial booking inquiry via their site received no response, when I called to schedule instead the desk associate was very apologetic and explained that sometimes they don't receive the inquiries. My appointment was a breeze. The various pre-exam machines are lined up logically and the optician running them was very efficient. Dr. Raley saw me and was equally efficient and personable. As my last eye doctor didn't attempt to make much conversation and ignored my discomforts, I was pleasantly surprised and a new bar has been set! I would have never guessed she recently graduated from optometry school - she was very professional in answering my questions and moving through the exam. Kristy came to get me at the end of my exam to look at frames. She seemed to be cognizant of the time crunch I had and whirled around finding different frames based on what I yayed or nayed. Ultimately she helped me find a pair that wasn't out on display that came in way under what I expected to pay and which met a vision I've had for awhile for a second pair. She explained the pros and cons of a new lens technology but was not pushy about me opting for it; I went with the same material my current glasses have and am comfortable with. I look forward to picking up my new pair of glasses! read more
