Excellent service!!!! The service alone warrants 5 stars! Great food, amazing drink options! Great place to get an evening bite and interact with friends and family!

Grossest burger I've ever eaten. We went to the Coliseum and were desperate for food and a bathroom. Stupid expensive for terrible food. 70 euros for 3 burgers 2 Pepsi's and a spritz. Literally 6 euros per Pepsi. Burgers tasted cooked off a skillet. Garbage garbage place. Staff is rude as hell and I'm pretty sure they overcharged us for the Pepsi's because we were tourists. Good Lord Id take a 6 dollar in n out burger any day over this garbage. Avoid at all costs.

The worst food in Rome. Outaide has nice view of colosseum but that's all. Don't eat here, servers were rude as well.

On a hill overlooking the Coliseum, the outdoor seating provides a spectacular vista. Unfortunately, by midafternoon when we arrived, our group of seven had no chance of sitting outdoors. All the tables were occupied. So, we were seated indoors in the back. Our waitress was terse at first but became more gregarious as she realized we were staying for more than one round of drinks and small plates. I didn't have any food, but my three rounds (or was it four) of Peroni was very satisfying on a hot and humid Rome afternoon.

Oh happy day at Oppio caffe! We stopped here after a long tour while in Rome and we are so grateful we did! After being super hungry while being in the hot sun for 4 hours, we got our cravings satisfied with a yummy panini and fried calamari! Total heaven and just look at the view the service was okay we could tell they were swamped they didn't want to approach us much just to quickly refill our water and that's all but the ambiance is a fun vibe and the view!!!

This caffe was our lunchtime stop while sightseeing in the fine city of Rome. We stopped in when it was pretty busy. Fortunately, we were able to get seated in a short amount of time, outdoors, with a nice view of the Colosseum. I decided on chicken and "potatoes," while my girlfriend ordered a steak. I also ordered a "mozzarella and funghi" pizza. The chicken was nice, juicy, and tasty. The "potatoes" were actually fries, which were nicely prepped. My girlfriend liked her steak, and the pizza was the perfect complement to our plates. She had a mixed drink, while I had a cappuccino. The food was decent, but what stuck out the most about this place is the beautiful backdrop that includes the Roman Colosseum. The service was alright. It was very busy that day, so it was understandable that it took a little longer for the waitress to check in on us. We had an overall comfortable lunch here, and we're thankful that this place was open during Eastern, a time when most places are closed in Italy.

Went here super early in the morning before our tour, and we were able to get a seat across the Colosseum right away. The coffee was good, but the tiramisu was even better. We had such a great time here that we came back two other times.

Our tour guide recommended the spot to us as it was right next to the Colosseum. Quite a busy spot with lots to choose from on the menu. Our waiter was nice. Everyone seem to enjoy their meal, and there was no real complaints. It certainly wasn't the best meal we had on the trip, but it was a nice lunch. We were able to get great views of the Colosseum.

Was a perfect place for my aunt's birthday. Waiter was great. Location was great and the food and drink were also good

A great place to eat at with a nice view of the colosseum. We stumbled across it and lucky for us, there was not a crowd. The staff were very attentive and always came around and ask if we need anything else. The food came out quickly and were all very good--especially the pistachio tiramisu.

Pizza and lasagna with view of Colosseo for days!

Worst espresso in Rome. Over extracted and bitter. Not to mention grossly overpriced. Tourist trap.

The edamame we had was soft and boiled/spiced to perfection. Originally we were just going to get a roll and a bowl but after trying the food we immediately got another roll. The staff was a whole new level of mind blowing. To start the waiter made us feel exactly where we belonged (even though we were a little underdressed for a classier restaurant). You could've just sat there and watched the bar tender all night, she looked like she was a professional I wouldn't want anyone else making me drinks. The atmosphere of the whole bar embodied a classic American jazz bar, even the other people and tables we were by were friendly and really added to the whole experience. Was very well worth the price and couldn't recommend any other restaurant.

Alexanderplatz which is the premiere jazz club in Rome charges $18 euros for a month membership - no cover after that - and $12 per drink. So once you have paid your monthly cover charge, you can hear all the jazz you want for free - or if need be for $12 euros a drink At Alexanderplatz, the performances are legendary with some of the most innovative and technically amazing musicians in Rome. We dropped over $150 euros at Gregory's. We got a perfectly reasonable yeoman guitarist. But nothing like the artistic lions that routinely perform over at Alexanderplatz. Now to be fair, we had dinner at Gregory's and we never eat at Alexanderplatz. The standard "sushi dinner" was perfectly reasonable yeoman sushi. There was so little of it that we both had to order a la carte dishes afterwards. The extra extras seriously expanded the final tab. * * * One argument in Gregory's favor: their bar is extraordinary. The bar at Alexanderplatz is mediocre. Gregory's charges top dollar for its bar offerings, but what they mix and what is in their bottles is worth every single euro they ask for. I would be perfectly happy to just go to the bar, and order a few premium beverages. I would hear my wallet cry. But I would know that I was drinking supremely well in return for my investment. Fortunately, the bar is downstairs from the club. I would not have to put up with the shenanigans in the club. * * * The problem with the club is the crowd. At most, one third of the customers are actually there to listen to jazz. The room is filled with tourists taking selfies. There are also hot-daters playing snuggle-buns. Many of them will leave mid-set so they can go back to the hotel. Gregory's is less about the music and more about selling happy memories of Rome. * * * Alexanderplatz gets a mostly Italian crowd. You are looking as musicians, music critics, academics, and all purpose artsy types - as well as normal Italian human beings who just want to hear fine music. The music is taken very very seriously. Yeah, there are usually two or three tables with good time Charlies who are doing the phone recording, party hearty thing. But this is 8% of the audience at Alexanderplatz as opposed to 70% of the audience at Gregory's. To be fair to the crowd at Gregory's, the music at Alexanderplatz is simply better. The jazz at Alexanderplatz is capable of transfixing even philistines with tin ears. Gregory's jazz doesn't put that much on the table. But the crowd at Alexanderplatz sets me up for listening to mystic, complex music with the highest level of attention and aesthetic receptiveness. The crowd at Gregory's just gets me irritated. * * * If you are in Rome with a hot date, go to Gregory's. Be prepared to shell out the bucks. * * * If you are in Rome with someone who can truly appreciate once-in-a-lifetime musical experiences, take them to Alexanderplatz. After you talk about the music for half an hour after the concert, You can still go back to the hotel. Just figure that the hotel will be the second best part of the night.

I ordered a split of Bolero even though it's hot, I wanted it with my gnocchi with black truffles. The gnocchi and the wine were both delicious. I also had ordered a salad to start. When they brought out my salad, it was huge and I remarked about how big it was and he said oh would you like a smaller one and I said, yes please. I hadn't even touched the bowl. A few minutes later, he brought a much smaller much better sized bowl filled with crunchy radicchio, carrots, arugula, and other nice veggies. I was grateful because I couldn't even finish that one. There's no way I could've done the large one. The service was excellent. They were very kind and courteous, and went out of their way to be helpful more than once . As I was leaving it was pouring rain. My waiter didn't want me to go out into the rain without an umbrella and I said I was fine and I laughed that I wasn't made of sugar, most could attest to that. He smiled and said just a minute and he went back somewhere towards the kitchen and dug around and came back out with an umbrella. Talk about customer service so I had a lovely lovely walk back home in the rain it's been very hot here so it felt delightful. I returned the umbrella yesterday evening.
