Easily my favorite place in Rome. It felt more local and charming ! We had 2 vegetarian pastas, the stuffed ravioli and some sort of spaghetti that was recommended. (I think just oil, Parmesan and pepper). It was phenomenal !! We came in not very hungry and only wanting dessert.. we ended up of course eating pasta and it was our most favorite meal. The location is tucked away on a side street right in the heart of Rome. The owner was making his rounds and hanging out with the customers. It was raining out and only a few tables. We all had such a good time, the owner popped a champagne bottle and gave all of the customers a glass. read more

A hidden gem. The owner Govanni is so nice. Great selection of wines from Italy by the glass and bottle. The street is slightly off the beaten path so it's not so crowded as it is elsewhere. Highly recommend! read more

Wanted to stop and sit down for a glass of wine or two before heading to dinner with a colleague, and we stumbled across this place. The place was pretty full outside so we mentioned we would wait for a table (it was a beautiful night) rather than sit indoors. They then quickly cleared a table and got us seats so we waited no more than a minute after mentioning that we wanted to be outside. The wait staff was personable and the wine selection is great. My colleague went with a (what he said) excellent glass of the Zenato Amarone red wine, the server also agreed that it was one of their best. I prefer white and am partial to the island of my boyfriend, Sardegna, so went with the Su'entu Vermentino, and it was exquisite. Throughout our respective two glasses there the staff kept bringing by small bites/crostini to try--they were all wonderful and so tasty--we both especially love the simple fresh tomato. All in all it was a simple yet enjoyable stop and I made sure to remember the name so that I can stop in again for a glass (or two!) on my next trip to Rome. Salute! read more

Definitely my favorite place in Rome!! We were just walking around and decided to stop by for a bottle of wine. We loved the wine so much we decided to go back the next day, service was so good we decided to go back the next day... we ended up here every night we were in Rome. Giovanni and staff are so friendly and helped make our honeymoon here so much fun and special. They had us taste different wines, and gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate! Next time we are in Rome, this will be our first stop. read more

Sat outside while waiting for my reservations at a restaurant nearby and had an aperitif and glass of wine, both were great. Staff and patrons are all very friendly, and there was complimentary bread. Really good people watching. read more

This is a lovely wine bar tucked off of the main streets near the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. I met a friend here who was staying in Rome for a month. The service was very kind and helpful, the wine was delicious, and the small bites were wonderful. Well worth a visit. read more

A wasted stop while in Rome. While wandering the side streets off the beaten path looking for a place for dinner we came upon Vonoteca Noveceto. There were a few people seated outside and the atmosphere seemed inviting. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the visit. As we sat, service was prompt. My wife ordered a glass of wine and I decided on a beer to quench my thirst before getting down to food choices. The wine was good, but 7 euros for a house red was on the steep side. My beer arrived and was almost half foam. Not impressed with the offerings at this point. The both a hot and cold menu. So keep that in mind as a reference for the following.. Bruschetta was actually very nice. Toasted nicely with a generous toppings. Fresh and well presented. My wife ordered the fresh ravioli, and I ordered the lasagne. Now, here where the real surprise comes. The lasagna came at just above room temperature, and the ravioli was actually cool, and very dry. Both could have been better with a little effort or attention to detail. When it was brought to the servers attention, she wasn't too upset that it happened and shrugged and offered to reheat the plates. ...Not impressed.. The flavors were OK, but nothing special. Being that the portions were tapas sized, we ordered some of their meatballs. Mind you another similar review group has glowing reviews of their meatballs, they were out of them, at, 7:30 PM. Wonderful service, wonderful wine, and a great atmosphere. This is a must visit for a relaxing glass of wine when you're traveling around Rome. The host was awesome and knew a ton about the different wines from around Italy. He made great suggestions and was very welcoming. The location was great and not far from Piazza Novana. It is surrounded by some other wonderful restaurants if you want to spend an evening in this area. read more

One of my favorite spots in Rome to get a nice glass of wine and something to snack on. Just off the Piazza Navona but away from all of the craziness. Sit at one of the barrel tables outside and let the owner recommend one of the fantastic wines he is always pouring. read more

Perfect place for people who want to be in non-touristic spots. Great wines. Really (really) nice bartender. You might have to share a barrel with people you don't know and it's so nice. Really good place for lovers and small groups (4 or 5 friends). Will try to taste the mozzarella/prosciutto that looked amazing at the other table. Next time :) read more
