This is a small bar that offers drinks, pastries and some food dishes. On our very first night in Rome, Pepy's Bar was located in the same block with our Hotel. The service was great! Makario was very friendly, and had a positive vibe. He even was taking song requests from us and other clients, which created a very chill, upbeat vibe to enjoy the drinks. The drinks were really good. The drink presentation and taste was really good. The food dishes we ordered were more of quick bites, after a long day of traveling. The quality was not the best but it did hit the spot. Friendly, easy to access from the street. Sweets and savory. We came in for some treats and got a sampling. Staff was friendly and helpful. Got a table and enjoyed different sweets. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Most of the treats were great. I didn't really like the lemon Oreo, but I can't put my finger on why. The interior is clean and very well-kept. We were attracted to this cafe because of the big tramezzini sandwiches we saw in the window for 4-5 euro. The service was friendly and pretty quick. We decided to dine in and ordered two tramezzini sandwiches. I got the salmone insalata tramezzini and my friend got the prosciutto e formagio tramezzini. They were toasted nicely upon request but MUCH smaller than they appeared in the window (see attached pics!). We were disappointed with the misleading portion sizes displayed. Maybe their other food items are reasonably sized though, might be worth revisiting because their prices are so low and trying a baguette next time. Overall: affordable prices, but be wary of smaller portion sizes than you perceive in the displays. read more

It was home base on our trip to Rome! The food was great at all times a day! The fountain the service the breakfast lunch and dinner! All perfect! We stayed for a month and this was just a place we kept meeting at. Highly recommend! AMAZING 5 STAR COCKTAILS: All that I can speak to are the drinks and as to how fabulous they are. If you are strolling by the area you must stop by for some delicious and creative drinks. This is the perfect spot pre-dinner or you can be lushes like us and just be craving a drink by 2pm hahaha. Anyways, this spot will surprise you with their cocktail menu. It's pages long! The price is responsible given the amount of creativity that went into the drinks and presentation. The taste?! Unbelievable. Every drink was perfection. Staff: friendly and they go above and beyond to cater to you. The aperol spritz was fantastic but I wanted something else but had trouble naming exactly what I wanted next. The bartender asked for an idea and I said "something fruity and refreshing" he came back with a visually appeasing and tasty passion fruit cocktail. Not on the menu, something he made up on the fly. This place is cool because they will be creative for you like that. They also treated my father so kindly as we were celebrating his 70th birthday. Once the bartender found out he made my dad a super cool looking blue & white shot. My father and him took a shot together, it was strong, we all had a laugh. Who knew such a little hole in the wall bar and grill could lead to such a fun experience. We were treated so nicely the entire time and that means a lot knowing that we were clearly tourists and would probably never be back (of course it's on the list should we travel back to Rome) but that didn't matter as they wanted to give us an A+ experience. Decent food and seating area, both inside and out. They have English translations embedded into the menu so that was helpful. A tad bit pricier than other restaurants like this one, probably because it's close to the metro and tour bus drop-off locations. If you're paying with credit card, it'll ask if you'd like to tip 10, 15, 20%, just like the US POS systems but with lower % suggestions. Remember that Italy has no tipping culture, skip tipping - you're already paying more for their food and drinks here - or round up to the nearest euro if you'd like, they'll appreciate it. We'll eat here again if we're too exhausted to find other places with tables. read more

Stopped in to take a break from walking and sit down for a few minutes and refresh. I only bought a iced caffe latte which was very good. A friend of mine got a sandwich which she said was ok. First of all the photos in which the food was presented WAS NOT given to us. Said to be scrambled and came out with a super low quality omelette. Super low quality food in general. Waiters have zero clue what's going on. It's dumb that they charged 12 for a very bad omelette when I wanted scrambled eggs. We went here after doing two walking tours in one day... we were starving, tired, and it's conveniently located across the street from our hotel. The service was quick and we were immediately greeted upon sitting down. We ordered the Greek salad to share and our own individual pizzas -- the Funghi and the Margherita.
