    Cappuccino

The service has been second to none at all the establishments in rome. I had a very good cappuccino followed up by and ice cold white wine and a focaccia. The food portion was very large and I could not eat it all. The location was situated in a good spot to watch all the people come by. The mood was relaxing as I didn't feel rushed to hurry up and eat.

Cute cafe that's fairly close to the Colosseum. Came here around 3pm on a Saturday and waited 10 minutes for an indoor table. Outdoor seating was also available but it was raining so that was a no-go. We got the carbonara, cacio e pepe, pizza, and scallopine. You pay at the counter and credit cards are accepted. The food was decent and the service was friendly, if a bit slow. There's a single occupant restroom in the back right hand side. There's a takeout counter as well for various pastries and to-go drinks. Credit cards are accepted.

Amazing cafe with great staff! Lots of tourist traps but ate here a few times and was happy! Outdoor covered area with sandwiches, pizza, salads etc. Great pricing! Came here several times on our visit to Rome!

One of the best parts of being in Italy are all of the cafe's you stumble upon! We were staying at the Hotel Capo D'Africa just a few blocks away. Their location was perfect for my morning caffeine. Gavi Cafe is a cute place to stop and get your coffee fix. They have patio seating so I was able to enjoy my latte while enjoying the sunny day. The Caffelatte was frothy and full of flavor. I did not partake in any food items so I can't give any opinion on that. But the latte hit the spot for this coffee lover. Our service was very polite and welcoming. They immediately arranged the tables for our party of 4. After ordering our drinks they were delivered quite quickly. I certainly appreciated the hospitality and warmth!

    Carbonara, margherita pizza, and ametriciana

We stopped in this restaurant because it was right by our hotel and figured it would be good. We've been to many places in Rome, and unless you're starving and must eat then save your money and go somewhere else. We ordered the carbonara, margherita pizza, and the ametriciana. All were made with mediocre sauces and the pasta itself was too soft.

My hotel is around the area. I was walking by going to the train station with my family and saw that the outside menu said "Iced Cafe". I went inside with my daughter to order one and one of the guys said "no" to my order while the other one said "yes". I ordered and the customer service was garbage. Not very nice people even though signs are in English. Looks like they catered more towards the locals than visitors. Not friendly at all and it ruined most of my day. Even if the food was good, customer service would make it a terrible experience.

    The appertivo- not too impressive

It was okay. Probably new since I had to create a Yelp for it. Our hotel was a block away and we really wanted an appertivo bar. Just something for a drink and small appetizers. This place was finally the one we could find to do that so we got two spritz. They brought us all carbs - chips, pretzels, toasted bread. And that was it. So not really great but it was only 6 euro so still worth it. We decided to order something so we shared the tuna salad - had a lot in it. Was okay. Then we got the speck and cheese focaccia which is pretty much a pizza. It was actually very good. Kind of sweet which we liked. But overall just ok.

Delicious food and wonderful people who work there! My family ordered the pasta with meat sauce, carbonara, eggplant Parmesan, and pizza. All choices amazed us so much we can back the next day to eat for breakfast on our 3 day stay

Excellent aperitivo spread! Large wine list, and an impressive beer list

If you're looking for a classic Roman coffee experience, La Casa del Caffè Tazza d'Oro is…read moredefinitely one to add to your list. Located just steps from the Pantheon in Piazza della Rotonda, this historic coffee bar has been a Roman institution since 1946 and is especially known for its coffee, which has helped make it one of the city's most famous cafés. The line was pretty long when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly quickly. You can enjoy your coffee and pastries inside while standing at the counter, or, if you're lucky, grab one of the few seats available inside. There's also outdoor seating, but keep in mind that sitting outside comes with a separate--and if I remember correctly, significantly higher--service charge. I'll be honest--I'm pretty sure I ordered the wrong thing. I ended up with what was essentially a frosty coffee ice cream, which is not what I was going for, lol. I was supposed to order the Granita di caffè con panna, which is their signature. It's a coffee granita--essentially finely shaved/frozen coffee--topped with whipped cream. Instead of whipped cream, I accidentally told my Italian nephew I wanted the coffee with ice cream, whoops. I also ordered a maritozzo, which I was absolutely on a mission to try while in Rome. The maritozzo is a traditional Roman sweet bun filled generously with whipped cream, and it did not disappoint. I was in a bit of a rush, so I didn't have time to enjoy my maritozzo there. I packed it up and ate it later that evening, and it was still delicious. I've also essentially given up coffee completely, so I only had a few bites and sips of my coffee ice cream, but what I tried was really good. The menu is fairly large and varied, and it can feel a little overwhelming when you're standing at the counter with a line behind you. I'd recommend taking a look at the menu ahead of time if you can so you have an idea of what you want before you get up to order. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by. Tazza d'Oro is an institution, the location is hard to beat, and there's something fun about experiencing one of Rome's longtime coffee traditions--even if you accidentally order the wrong thing like I did!
