The food was pretty good, but it was annoying when the servers would ask if you wanted to add a tip. I came here for a quick lunch on a beautiful sunny afternoon. This restaurant caught might eye since it was literally facing the Pantheon and had beautiful seating outside. At first the service was not great since they seemed to be rushing my group but it got better once we ordered. I ordered an espresso martini and salmon tartar. The martini was one of the best espresso martinis I have ever had in my life, it had the perfect amount of caffeine and alcohol. The salmon tartar was unreal; it had cream cheese, avocado and tomato. We had a great late night dinner here. It was our first time at this restaurant and we truly loved its location right next to the Pantheon! We could see all the action of that part of piazza from our outside table. It even rained hard during our dinner and it was an experience to watch the downpour. We ordered a light dinner, consisting of spaghetti Bolognese and an order of bruschetta. Both were perfect to split and share. The flavors were great in both dishes. I especially liked that the pasta was so very hot and the bolognese was delicious. Spaghetti was a bit too al dente, but that seems to be the normal prep here.The bruschetta was beautifully prepared and plated. A few of the tables had ordered the prosciutto and cantaloupe and that dish looked delectable and beautiful as well. Service from Rafael was professional and caring. It would appear that it is a very touristy place, but that was okay with us because the food was wonderful and the service was excellent. I would truly recommend to others to try this nice place. Rethink about going if you are Asian or Asian-looking. Service was horrrrible. I speak fluent English and so did they; there was no miscommunication, yet we were mistreated and DISCRIMINATED for being Asian. Host told us that there is a seating inside and so we walked in. Then, they told us there is no seating inside - though there were empty tables withOUT reservation signs. This was OK. We followed the host to outside where it was jammed with tables and no walkways. This was my last night in Rome, and it was right across from our hotel Abruzzi. This place was spectacular. The service was spectacular and the view was just as amazing as the food. Everything was absolutely delicious. The owner is from Naples and did truly give you the authentic feel that you desire when you are in such an amazing place like Rome. This restaurant was great, I'm shocked at the low ratings. You are sitting directly outside the pantheon and the outside area was comfortable and cute. Food was delicious and the bread was very good, it was almost more like naan bread though than a usual type of bread. The service were excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the food I had but my party had mixed feelings about a couple of their entrees which led to the 4 star review. This place is located near the Pantheon entrance with indoor and outdoor seating. For starters, we had the Bruschetta which was the best one we've had so far on our. Our group then enjoyed a bottle of the house white wine while having their cheese and meat board with a house made fig jam! OMG, this was amazing. For my entry, I had the penne pasta with their cheese sauce and baked/chopped salmon. This had excellent flavor with a fresh taste. Again, another bottle of the house wine shared by the table with some Liquor Lemon Sorbet to finish off the dinner. This was a great experience and I definitely recommend giving them a try while visiting the Pantheon. read more

Family did not care for this place and we will not be returning. The bread that comes with the breakfast has no taste, excessive butter. The eggs tasted good but very oily and their café Americano, which I'm surprised didn't taste good at all. Their juice and croissants were good. Great view of the pantheon while eaten , food was good, full of flavor, husband had Carbonara and I had Gnocchi with fresh tomato sauce and mozzarella. They ask if you would like bread, we said yes, charges 6eruos for the bread. Dessert we had two cappuccinos and husband had tiramisu and I had cheesecake drizzled with Carmel. When dessert was delivered they gave us also two nice size glasses of lemon cello. When we went to pay , we noticed they charged us 14eruos for the lemon cellos without us ordering them, and they came out with two more shots which they give complimentary. We questioned them and no answer and no refund because we drank them. We only drank them because a lot of restaurants in Rome give lemon cello as a complimentary drink after you eat. So warning don't drink the large glass if they give them to you if you didn't order. It's a scam. Besides that. Great food and dessert. read more

Stopped in for a snack while we waited for the Pantheon to reopen after evening services. Even in November the outdoor seating was open with heaters all around. There were performers in the square and lots of people milling about making this a great space to stop and enjoy the evening. We ordered water, wine, beer and torta. All were good. The torta was sweet with fresh berries on top served with a scoop if gelato and a berry sauce. Nice presentation and tasty. The staff were pleasant and service quick. In usual Italian fashion, once you have your food they leave you to enjoy and take your time. The wi-fi user name and password are conveniently located at each table. This place was a big surprise for us, literally you walk out the hotel Abbruzzo and it is right in front the entrance maybe 5 or six steps from it. Cute tables outdoor and one of the best views, I mean you are dining right in front of the Pantheon. Beautiful weather every time we went there, by the second night they knew us already. Service was excellent, Alessandro provided an amazing service and city suggestions all the time. He was if I can say our personal guide for our days in Rome. Located right next to the Pantheon, you can't beat the location. We stopped by here for cake and wine in the early afternoon and managed to grab a great table outside. We ordered the house wine and a beautiful Sicilian cake. I can't rave about the cake enough, it was perfect and I luckily got the last one. It was that good, I didn't want to share. The wine was a great accompaniment and went down well. My nan ordered the English Breakfast tea, which was great until we realised there was no teabag in the pot. Though when mentioned to the staff, it was quickly added. The staff were fantastic, and helped us out with some translations that we didn't understand; they spoke perfect english. It says here they were closed today but we are there so I'm guessing they were open. We had a lovely meal right by the Pantheon. Excellent place for people watching and wonderful service! My husband and I shared the antipasto. He got a salad with tuna and shrimp; I got the margarita pizza with buffalo mozzarella. We shared the chocolate almond cake (torta caprese). A lovely meal all the way around. Nice and shady with a cooling breeze was just what we needed after a long hot day. Came here for our last meal in Rome and wanted a quintessential dish, Pesto pasta. What arrived was a creamy gooey mess, what I would expect to get in a pedestrian "Italian" restaurant like Olive Garden. Such a disappointment. For a legit pesto, go across the square to restaurant Di Rienzo. However a bigger disappointment was the chicken Cesar salad. Chicken was at least a day old, dry, tough, crusty and crunchy. Salad was swimming in completely flavorless Caesar dressing. Hard to make a proper Caesar dressing with no flavor, but they managed. Yuck. "We use a crappy dressing, but if we use a ton of it maybe they won't notice?" This was another dish that would feel at home in an Olive Garden. On the bright side, our waiter was courteous and the location is unparalleled. Unfortunately, as is the standard in Europe, the waiters never check on you after delivering your food so we were left languishing. Leaving Rome disappointed in our last meal :( read more
