It is with awe struck tears flowing down my face that I am writing this review! I am a born again Christian who prays about everything. I am, also, a widow who depends upon Jesus for my every need. A year ago my alarm system of 20 years stared giving me issues. The alarm company I use said it was time for a new system. I ordered the one that they recommended and they installed it. Recently I began having issues with one of my sensors. I changed the battery as instructed. A week later, that same sensor started setting off my alarm at all hours of the day and night. I called my alarm company and was told that it would cost me a good amount of money to have them run a diagnostic and fix it; but that it would be money well spent or I could discontinue to use their services. I was shocked and heartbroken. I felt abandoned. I tried calling three different times over a course of about ten days. I just wanted to ask them if they thought I might be able to order a new sensor and change it myself or if they thought it was a faulty system that I should return to Amazon. My calls have still not been returned. So Thursday night I took this problem to Jesus in prayer. He led me to google "Christian Family Owned Alarm Companies in Antioch". I didn't even know there was such a thing. However, when I plugged that in, Freedom Alarm Company popped up. The reviews were amazing! On Friday I called Freedom Alarm Company to get a quote from them . I was pleasantly surprised that within moments James called me back. He patiently listened to my story, was so kind and friendly, asked me questions about my system, had me send him pictures, and then said, "I have been in this business for 26 years. and I am not familiar with this system. Let me just come and take a look at it and see what we can do. If its an easy fix, we'll just take care of it for you." We scheduled for him to come the next morning, which is now Saturday. He arrived on time, looked at my panel, looked at the sensor, and within moments, he had figured out the problem and explained it to me. He decided to put another set of new batteries in, and fixed the sensor case using tape on the inside to give it a snugger fit. He, also, spotted the loose sensor on my sliding door and quickly did the same. As I reached for my purse to pay him, He said, "No, I am not taking any money. This took me no time at all. It was an easy fix." I tried to insist. I said, "Let me pay you for your time. This is Saturday. You took the time to come and I am not even a paying customer of yours. You spent your gas to get here." He looked at me kindly but firmly and said, "I am not billing you for this. I do not want your money. I do not need your money." That is when the tears started. I knew in that moment that one more time in my life Jesus had indeed shown Himself strong on my behalf over this challenging situation when He led me to FREEDOM ALARM. I asked if I could at least pray with Him. I prayed a blessing over this man's life. Then I asked him, "What makes you do this? Why are you so kind?" He answered with joy and a smile on HIs face, "I lost my dad several years ago. My mom is alone. I try and treat people the way I want to be treated...the way I want people to treat my mom." As I shut the door after him I couldn't stop crying. I thought, 'Was that an angel in disguise?' However, I then remembered all of the amazing reviews I had read, so I know James is a real human being. He just happens to be an extraordinary man with a huge heart; and God uses Him in extraordinary ways to be a blessing to the world around Him. Moving forward I will be highly recommending Freedom Alarm to everyone looking for an alarm company or anyone who has any alarm repair needs. When the time comes for me to get another alarm, I will be reaching out to Freedom Alarm. His company here I would highly not recommend to anyone they don't service their equipment they…read moreclaim they guarantee the equipment but they don't the alarm goes off beeping talking about radio frequency all through the night you can't get no sleep no rest and this has been going on and off for 3 years,!!! I've canceled 2 appointments do the health reasons but the follow-up calling and emailing is a total problem the equipment is over 20 years old they use some old equipment cheap contacts on the doors the equipment is outdated nobody else uses I have been bamboozled...!! The monitoring service they might call you they might not when the alarm goes off when you set your alarm I come home I find it's been disarmed on its own they claim it's the panel but they never would replace it.. there are more in other hard wiring reliable companies out there also look you see one maybe two at the most since they started their business that gives a five star nothing in between one maybe two at the most a year you don't get one star rating just one or two people give a five-star rating out of an entire year and there are some skip years that's something I should have looked at first but I didn't beware of freedom along and they excessively charge you for a service that they're not giving for this old outdated equipment...! James is a very dishonest person I noticed his statement that's left here on Yelp I have videos of the alarm going off extensively for a great period of time when called in the middle of the night no response when call the following day no response disrupting my sleep disrupting me in my medical room in my hospital bed this is not the type of lifestyle anyone would want to live Promises and promises to come out to remove the defective panel this is not occurring because of the dispute that happened on July 27th this is the honest to God truth and there's other people within the community that has nothing good to say about this company and I have factually found out that I have old equipment that I'm not going to pay for that is outdated I have emails with the descriptions of what has occurred that I have mentioned in this Yelp I'm not doing this to be facetious I'm sticking facts and I take pictures of the panel so my proof versus his work look at his review look how often how many people one a year maybe two at the most and they're all five star unheard of I find him to be very dishonest and not truthful and this has been my experience for some time the people may call you they may not when your alarm go off but you pay for a service every time it goes off for any reason they're supposed to alert the owner but they don't I'm not going to argue back and forth about this review but one thing about it you can't say you weren't forewarned this is how we decide in society in America based on our experiences personally and legitimately Had Mr James came out to my home and service to find out or kept his word about replacing the panel I wouldn't have had to go to the office and I was disrespected on numerous occasions over the phone these people don't treat you with courtesy they don't care nothing about but getting that little fee every month This is been my family's experience and a few other people I've met as well and then if you really want to know the truth look into his background do your homework and then you'll know the real truth!!!! And for the record I've asked for a alarm certificate numerous times and promise would never receive one for the last 3 years it was mandatory this year by my insurance company which I don't blame them and I got no response note I did send emails I left voicemails everything you could possibly name and because my insurance company was pressuring me I went into the office and requested one and I was treated like I was a homeless person and I'm a homeowner in the community this has been my experience you can take your chances if you want but I'm not the only person who sat bad experiences with this freedom alarm company!!!!
