FREEOM ALARM, INC. DESERVES 1,0000 STARS FOR PROFESSIOSALISM, CUSTOMER SERVICE, PUCTUALITY, INTEGRITY, AND HEART! It is with awe struck tears flowing down my face that I am writing this review! I am a born again Christian who prays about everything. I am, also, a widow who depends upon Jesus for my every need. A year ago my alarm system of 20 years stared giving me issues. The alarm company I use said it was time for a new system. I ordered the one that they recommended and they installed it. Recently I began having issues with one of my sensors. I changed the battery as instructed. A week later, that same sensor started setting off my alarm at all hours of the day and night. I called my alarm company and was told that it would cost me a good amount of money to have them run a diagnostic and fix it; but that it would be money well spent or I could discontinue to use their services. I was shocked and heartbroken. I felt abandoned. I tried calling three different times over a course of about ten days. I just wanted to ask them if they thought I might be able to order a new sensor and change it myself or if they thought it was a faulty system that I should return to Amazon. My calls have still not been returned. So Thursday night I took this problem to Jesus in prayer. He led me to google "Christian Family Owned Alarm Companies in Antioch". I didn't even know there was such a thing. However, when I plugged that in, Freedom Alarm Company popped up. The reviews were amazing! On Friday I called Freedom Alarm Company to get a quote from them . I was pleasantly surprised that within moments James called me back. He patiently listened to my story, was so kind and friendly, asked me questions about my system, had me send him pictures, and then said, "I have been in this business for 26 years. and I am not familiar with this system. Let me just come and take a look at it and see what we can do. If its an easy fix, we'll just take care of it for you." We scheduled for him to come the next morning, which is now Saturday. He arrived on time, looked at my panel, looked at the sensor, and within moments, he had figured out the problem and explained it to me. He decided to put another set of new batteries in, and fixed the sensor case using tape on the inside to give it a snugger fit. He, also, spotted the loose sensor on my sliding door and quickly did the same. As I reached for my purse to pay him, He said, "No, I am not taking any money. This took me no time at all. It was an easy fix." I tried to insist. I said, "Let me pay you for your time. This is Saturday. You took the time to come and I am not even a paying customer of yours. You spent your gas to get here." He looked at me kindly but firmly and said, "I am not billing you for this. I do not want your money. I do not need your money." That is when the tears started. I knew in that moment that one more time in my life Jesus had indeed shown Himself strong on my behalf over this challenging situation when He led me to FREEDOM ALARM. I asked if I could at least pray with Him. I prayed a blessing over this man's life. Then I asked him, "What makes you do this? Why are you so kind?" He answered with joy and a smile on HIs face, "I lost my dad several years ago. My mom is alone. I try and treat people the way I want to be treated...the way I want people to treat my mom." As I shut the door after him I couldn't stop crying. I thought, 'Was that an angel in disguise?' However, I then remembered all of the amazing reviews I had read, so I know James is a real human being. He just happens to be an extraordinary man with a huge heart; and God uses Him in extraordinary ways to be a blessing to the world around Him. Moving forward I will be highly recommending Freedom Alarm to everyone looking for an alarm company or anyone who has any alarm repair needs. When the time comes for me to get another alarm, I will be reaching out to Freedom Alarm. I make sure to read all the Yelp reviews and get recommendations from friends I trust before I even choose a business. I read how James would show up at the house when an alarm was tripped and that he always carries. I said THAT is the man I want- someone who stands behind his business and brave! Also one of my close friends who I trust her opinion highly had recommended James as a business and personally knows him and gave high praises for his integrity and as a person! So I was feeling good about my choice and he followed through! I like that he was willing to help anytime you need him to just call him! I believe in layers of security for my house. He thinks a lot like I do and he will best tell you what is best for your particular house and situation which is great. Took a lot of work, but I feel better that it is done. I like the night vision with the alarms and the very clear pictures. I had other cameras before which can be grainy or blurry but these pictures are very clear. I like the panoramic views too which cover a lot. Better to have someone local as your alarm company as well and have a relationship with the local police. Very professional and one of the good guys! He goes above and beyond which is my criteria in giving 5 stars to the best! I liked how he also cleaned up all my other wires, cleaned up after himself, made it look pleasing to the eye, etc. Nice assistant as well and very polite. So, a solidly good company with lots of integrity which is so important in the security field and in today's world. Could not recommend Freedom Alarm enough. We had a near-break-in with someone actively casing the neighborhood. We called that night and they came out the next day to take a look, and another day to come by and install a system. Overdue review. I thought I posted my review 2 years ago but couldn't find it on yelp. We moved in our new house with pre-set basis alarm system that came with the house. James was recommended by family members who used him before as he provided the best quote and excellent service. He came out did very detailed walk through. He is honest, professional, knowledgeable. He helped me add new line for additional cameras and installed cameras with existing line, add sensors where it's needed, set up the alarm system. Not like some big name company that would not let you use existing system even if they are compatible with what they sale. James helped me build on what I have. With their reasonable rates, superior service technicians, fast response times and the quality of service provided, I highly recommend this shop for installation or repair of any home alarm system. It is nice to work with people who have a perfectionist work ethic, which is hard to find in this day and age. Update 1: I now have Freedom Alarm monitoring my house rather than just fixing wiring issues for an inherited, older system. James rescheduled his off day to meet my busy schedule to retrofit our alarm system to a monitored system. His price to retrofit was very reasonable. We got a new panel, an updated motion sensor, an updated smoke detector and James put every sensor on a dedicated line so that we can now tell where the problem lies if a wiring issue presents. As usual, he went above and beyond. We are extremely pleased with his professionalism, work ethic, knowledge, flexibility in scheduling and the quality of work. The monthly monitoring price is so reasonable, it's a no brainer. Update 2: My home alarm activated while I was away. Since I was stuck during Covid19 in another State, James graciously offered- and followed through- to visit the property in the evening on his own time to make sure nothing was amiss. I had an old alarm system that was not working and needed someone to come out and assess it to see if it could be fixed. I called several companies, most would not touch it unless it was one of their systems or wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount to book an appointment before they even stepped foot in the door! I did not know if it was even fixable. I called Freedom Alarm and they did not charge a fee to come out only an hourly rate which was so reasonable I was surprised! James, the owner of the company came out and did the work. He fixed my old system that day and I inquired about updating it. He then came back a week later and updated my system adding some new features and connecting it to an app that gave me greater security and protection over my old system. James gave us great install and service. We needed a whole new IP camera system to deal with all the crime that our DA of Contra Costa County won't prosecute. Our system was 20 years old and mostly didn't work. He installed new cameras and replaced all old ones with a fresh hard drive that captures stunning quality video. I can check video from my phone when I'm not there. He also put a new alarm system in for us and the monitoring is cheaper than our old provider. I can arm it and disarm it from my phone. Price for all was very fair for whole new alarm and 12 camera system plus wire runs:about $7000. Almost too fair! You need to make some money too James! read more

I called freedom alarm to replace camera, James came buy told me my new camera was not compatible with my system cause it was a older model unit, so James told me were to get a camera how to find # on old camera. We are so glad we found Freedom Alarm on Yelp. All the positive reviews made them the first company we called to service our alarm system which suddenly wouldn't set. We liked that they have an answering service and were able to talk to someone right away. James and Clint came the next day (on time) and knew just what to do to repair our system, and at a very reasonable price. James has been my savior. I had been having break in and theft problems in a rental property in Antioch for the last 7 days. I had called several other alarm companies, in order to get a system up and running. They either didn't show up or didn't return my calls.
