Wonderful place! Right now I'm a refugee from Hurricane Matthew and I've been visiting places in Jax, where I'm staying while they work on my house. This place was a discovery and I love it! We ordered a random assortment of things and it was all great. Sashimi is excellent and beautifully presented, all of the other things (soups, etc) we had were excellent. The desserts were great. My husband and I ate lunch here today. The interior decor was modern and clean, and they played classical music that added some warmth to the atmosphere. Our server was very attentive and friendly, and the food was served pretty quickly. The food we ordered was just okay in that it didn't have a ton of flavor. My husband ordered a bento box that came with steak (drenched in sauce that looked like teriyaki, but was more bland), one sushi roll (he ordered sweet potato and said it was ok), and tempura (shrimp, onion, green pepper & potato that was pretty well coated in batter). We shared three sushi rolls that were overpowered by the sauce/toppings. It was difficult to taste the different aspects of each roll. Best sushi in all of Jacksonville!!! I live on the other side of town and will drive 35 minutes to go here. Their fish is absolutely the freshest. Plus, their rolls are super tight so they never fall apart while you're trying to eat them. The staff is always super sweet and explains everything. I have an egg allergy so I can't have mayo and they make any roll I want special and add different sauces to make them taste better when they'd usually have mayo. The owner is the best too. Because I go often enough he knows what I like so if they get something in that is really fresh then he'll make special rolls for me and my crew that aren't on the menu based on what he know we like and they're always awesome. The chefs and owner are perfectionist and you can really taste it; yet the cost are complete normal sushi prices even though the fish is fresher. I love this place! Eat here now!!!! read more

The music was relaxing and the decor was nice, simple, and new. We shared a spicy tuna roll and tempura roll and the Nabeyaki Udon. The food was excellent. It tasted fresh and clean! The service was prompt and attentive. The prices were very reasonable! We paid 25$ for the both of us. Our bill came with mint chocolates. My favorite! I decided to try this unassuming restaurant after my walk last night and what a pleasant surprise it was. I came in thinking I was going to get a regular roll as always but I quickly changed my mind. I don't like to say I'm OCD but I do appreciate order and clarity and their menu is so organized and easy to navigate I almost did a happy dance. Everything has a description and they separate their raw rolls from their fried rolls. I love this because I'm not a fan of cooked rolls and every time I order a roll in a restaurant and forget to ask if it's fried and get a fried roll my heart dies a little. They have multiple options aside from rolls that I want to come back and try. Their prices are pretty standard each of my rolls was a little over $9.00. Their two person booths are very comfortable, which I get is a weird observation but I was pretty impressed by that little detail. The space is very cozy and clean. I loved my sushi and even ordered an extra Spicy Tuna roll. For me what stands out to me was that my wife got old hibachi chicken and it was teetering on gross. It had a funny taste and the texture was off too. So we alerted our waitress who had her manager come by. They handled the situation with professionalism and didn't make it weird which was nice.
