Visited Opal with a large group from out of town. The inside was full of good energy. The DJ David Aaron really kept things going. They had enough bar tenders that the line at the side bar wasn't too jammed. The bottle service girl was Smoken hot and was running all over the place putting smiles on faces. This was probably the most hilarious night club experience I've ever had. The classic characteristics of a night club are all based on the premise that people are in the club. Sitting in a velvet roped off table, while four girls and two couples hang out on the empty dance floor feels like overkill. It also makes your feel like "why did my friends put down a deposit for a night club table in Tahoe?" There were actually more people sitting in our exclusive, roped off table than there were in the rest of the club. The security guards, trained to be complete jerks throughout nightclubs across the world, hold less sway when you and your friends represent more than 50% of the attendance. That said, eventually we did get kicked out as one of our friends tried to climb on the stage where the girls were dancing. read more

Went here for a bachelorette party on Labor Day weekend. It was advertised that ladies were free before midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. We went a Saturday night and found out after standing in line for about 30 min... that this wasn't the case cuz it was a holiday weekend. I thought it was pretty lame of them to just spring that on us. Drinks were pricey (expected) but at least they weren't watered down. At the end of it, we had a really good time. No seating unless you wanna pay an arm and leg. Everyone was having a good time. We were one of the first groups on the dance floor but it worked out bc after about an hour it got super crowded so I'm glad we kinda "reserved" our spot. The music was interesting at the beginning, but then turned into more upbeat dance music/rap. They did a "freak show" themed night so the go go dancers were dressed like clowns and there was a ring master and a bearded lady on stilts. It was fun and black lit. Had a good time, but definitely should advertise that the ladies free disclaimer for holidays. read more

He held me at the door as he continued to verbally insult me. He's on a power trip for real. A few hours later I leave to go to the bathroom which is located outside the club and we tired to get back in and he's still giving us shit. Dog I had so much mother Effin fun at this club. Saw some of the comments in regards to racism, security being rude, etc. At least from MY NIGHT I went (10/15/22) I didn't have or see any issues with security towards patrons, nothin. Security walked around a lot and seemed to be talking to people, felt like whatever rules they enforce are pretty secure, but nothing to where it looked like people were trippin out. Nonetheless, this club was hittin. Music was blaring hard, lots of great mixes of 90's-00's hip-hop and some of todays music, great blend. We got here pretty early on Friday night, and were debating if we wanted to do bottle service or not. We were unsure, having never been here before, we weren't sure if it would be cracking. We decided to go for it anyways, and were not disappointed. They played a little bit of everything, a little EDM, top 40 and even a bit of Latino pop. My boyfriend and I decided to be brave last Saturday and ventured out into the snowstorm to walk across the street from our hotel (Hard Rock) to the Montbleu to party at Opal around 1 am (ok, we waited until the storm semi-passed us before we went but still! Haha). In my 5-inch stiletto heels, I made my way in inches of snow so we can get our butts over to the club. There was a $20 cover since we were so late, and we honestly didn't expect much of a crowd left since it was late, but we were pleasantly surprised to see people were still out and dancing. They didn't have a coat check so this was a bit of a hassle since I had a huge coat on, but some people let us leave our stuff at their booths so that was great! I wore a lime green dress and with the black lighting of the place, I shone like the sun - which I didn't mind whatsoever. Lol. We only stayed for about an hour or so before a fight broke out though so we left. The music they played was great and not full of EDM like a lot of other clubs I've gone to out there. Went to this place early October and not even a quarter of the dance floor was taken up by the amount of people there (which can be a good or bad thing depending on your own preferences). Guys had to pay a $20 cover fee but girls got in for free. It was was nice not being stuffed onto a crowded dance floor and there was a variety of music. They had go-go dancers as well to keep the dance vibe going. Forget about "Ladies Free Before Midnight" on Fridays & Saturdays that they promote on their website and in the hotel!! My girlfriend and I went there Saturday on MLK weekend and got on the general admission line at 11:20pm. There are two other lines, the re-entry line and VIP line. After the line there was a security checkpoint and then you enter the club. I quickly realized that they were holding the general admission line on purpose. Most of the time the security checkpoints were not busy and the VIP and re-entry lines were very short/non existent so you would assume they would let in the GA line. The GA line barely moved before midnight (about 8 people got in on this line before midnight) but funny enough after midnight, the GA line miraculously starting moving at a steady pace, with security letting us in one right after the other. The cover is $20. I have no issue with that. The issue I have is holding the GA line on purpose until after midnight so you can milk out a few more dollars from your customers. I'd rather just pay $40 for two people before midnight so I don't have to wait in line for 40 minutes, it's such a buzzkill. Make it less obvious with what you're trying to do at the very least. Maybe I was wrong and they were really packed. But once I got into Opal, I realized that was not the case at all. The bar had no line whatsoever. I was able to walk right up and the bartender attended to me right away. This was the case the whole night. There was plenty of space to walk around as well with parts of the club with lots of space to really break out your dance moves. So I don't want to get a reply back from management and make the excuse they were extremely busy or sold out that night. LADIES PRO TIP: If you want to get in free, get in line at 10, get your wristband, and you can always re-enter the club later. Overall once we got in the nightclub, it wasn't bad. It's sad that trying to get in the club just left a bad taste in my mouth because the club experience itself was good. People were dancing away. It was nice to not be packed in like a bunch of sardines and have room to dance without people running you over. read more

This was a cool night club, favorite part was definitely the music!! The dj played 90's rap like 2pac, Bone Thugs & Harmony, Dr. Dre, etc. Music was extremely loud and the bass was hitting super loud, also they had an array of cool lighting and cannon like things shooting smoke as well as they were dropping confetti nearly constantly. All in all it was a pretty sick club, only bad thing was guys out numbered girls about 3 or 4 to 1. This is obviously a pretty big deal and no matter how tight the venue was made the entire experience pretty lane, especially if your a single guy and not gay as I almost suspect several of the dudes were! So obviously it has potential, they just need to start regulating who they allow in and the ratio of men to women! read more

So, I'll start by saying I always have fun here. It changes every time we come back but I don't mind. The reason I'm writing this now is I am a bit annoyed at the bottle service we got. We went on a friday after we saw Janet Jackson across the street and I didn't want to wait in a line or have to hold my purse, my drink and dance in a sea of sweaty gross people so I got a bottle. It was $325 and they add 30%- 10 for tax and 20 for tip. What seemed really shitty was getting the bill and having to be a jerk and write in 0 on the tip line or tip more. The girl made some sad comment about how she didn't get all of the tip and I'm sorry, you just brought out the bottle and a blinking light (which is fun don't get me wrong) and made us 6 drinks. I don't mind paying for what I agreed to but being made to feel like 30% isn't enough sucks. So, being a stupid pushover, I added like $27 more. Like I have a lot of money. I do not. Anyway, it was not a big bottle and really I was rather underwhelmed with how it all went. We would have been fine just going and buying drinks but it DID help having a place where everyone in the group could come back to but I still ended up having to watch our stuff and our bottle so I did not dance. Luckily for me, I had danced my ass off at Janet (btw, she was fantastic). Here's the approximate math: $325 Tito's 1L 97 tax + tip 28 more stupid tip =$450 for about 10 drinks and a table. Just to piss me off? Well, it worked. Finally I get to the cashier and she tells me it's $40 to get in. HELL NO, I show up with seven ladies and you try to charge me $40? Came here for 4th of July weekend, and it was a blast! Got bottle service right outside of the floor, which ended up being a good idea since it was super crowded. Couldn't remember our server but she was super attentive and nice. The only downside I would say is that the restrooms are outside of the club, meaning you have to get checked every time you need to use them. Pretty lame after a while.
