    Balcony suite living room
    Matt K.

Recently upgraded and renamed, the "new" Caesars Republic is the nicest resort in South Lake Tahoe now. We stayed in a balcony suite and enjoyed Caesars Republic's efforts to bring back the luster of the old Harvey's along with the fabulous lake view. For diner type food go to the Harrah's side to the new Brew Brothers which replaces the old food court. On this side Sage Room remains great along with Wolf and Hell's Kitchen. The gym is nice. Steam and sauna in locker room. Pool and jacuzzi are adequate. Some nice shops on the lobby level at both Caesars Republic and Harrahs. Starbucks is on the Harrahs side only now but Cleo's provides the same sort of drinks and food, plus alcoholic drinks too. The casino has been upgraded renovated and includes a new high limit and new poker room. Good service. Caesars Republic has moved back to resort level service.

Nice 4 of a kind with the kicker!

I thought Ceasars Republic Lake Tahoe was an excellent addition to the Ceasars hotel network. The interior was nicely done and the slot machines seem new, well heck, we won lol. The hotel has restaurants such as Hells kitchen by Gordon Ramsey and Wolf by Vandepump. Overall impressions of Ceasars Republic was great.

I was at Caesars republic for the weekend. It was an amazing experience for the price. I loved my room, very spacious and luxurious. My only complaint is the fact that I got charged fully for the resort fee when the pool and gym isn't working and hotel is still undergoing renovations. I will be back for sure. I felt safe so that's the most important part for me.

The view from the 11th floor in the Romulus Tower.

Harvey's Lake Tahoe is now Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe and although renovations are still in progress the front desk, Cleo's, table game area, Wolf, Hell's Kitchen, poker room and high limit gaming all look amazing. We booked 2 rooms for a 4-night stay each. The first room type was a Romulus View 1 King, this room is spacious at 525 square feet and there was a partial lake view, the water closet has it's own door, and there is a vanity and ottoman in the bathroom. The second room type was a Remus Deluxe 1 King, this room is newly renovated at 375 square feet and feels like Vegas, however, there was no view and the bathroom was a standard hotel bathroom. I have two cons with staying here. The first is housekeeping NEVER cleaned our room in the Romulus Tower. We stayed Thursday - Monday and were informed at check-in that housekeeping would clean on the third day by request. Saturday morning at 9 a.m. I requested housekeeping in-person with a representative at the front desk, but after returning to the room at 4:30 p.m. the room hadn't been cleaned. I contacted the front desk and the representative stated that unfortunately our room wasn't on the list but he could bring me whatever I needed and add the room to the list for Saturday night or Sunday. I opted to have the room cleaned Sunday and again Sunday it was not cleaned. This time my husband spoke to a gentleman by phone I believe his name was Rob. He offered a dining credit which we declined, offered to move us to a nicer room, which we declined, then offered to refund us 2 of the 4 resort fees, which we accepted. The second con is there is no casual dining option. Maybe when the renovations are completed there will be a Sports Bar or sandwich shop but as of November 2025 there are none listed on the website. We did dine at Wolf, El Jefe's Cantina and Cleo's during our stay and I'll write separate reviews for them. I will stay here again, in hopes of a better housekeeping experience.

The Players Bar is smoke free!

I've been going to Harveys in South Lake Tahoe for years. It's a fun place to relax after a long day of skiing. I usually stop at the The Players Bar because it's smoke free and you can get free beers if you are gambling. You need to have at least $20.00 in the machine though. They have table top games like blackjack, poker, and keno. The dueling pianos are a lot of fun on the weekends. The musicians know a lot of classic pop and rock tunes. They know how to keep the crowd energized and even throw out a few good jokes now and then. Another great spot is Joe's Bar. They have sports all over the place on their big screen TVs and some good pizza too! I usually get the beer and shot special which is only $7.50. There are other options, but I usually get a Mountain Lager and a shot of JaMo. There's also some great restaurant's like Hell's Kitchen in the casino, comedy shows, health club, pool, an arcade for the kids, and some nice hotel rooms. This place just about has it all.

It's been a couple years since we stayed in South Lake Tahoe that the old Harvey's is now Caesars Republic. We had comped rooms and it was nicely remodeled from what I remember it used to be. We stayed in the Romulus tower is what I believe it was stated on our room key. The beds were not very comfy and only 2 pillows per queen bed so my hubby and I didn't get good sleep each night. Tossed and turned. Otherwise the room was very clean and functional. The lobby was nice and a cafe right next to it. Further down past lobby will be some shops snacks and entrance to the arcade. Customer service was ok, they didn't give much info about our rooms or stay or explain anything. I had to call and ask if we had free WiFi etc. the kids enjoyed the pool area. It's not very deep which is fine, it was just a nice place to cool off. All in all we would stay here again as the location works to walk to many places we went to visit or access and plenty of dining nearby.

Room bar not complimentary just the water on bottom

Things have definitely changed since our last visit around 4 years ago. The decor seems to have improved since then as well as the location. The parking garage for this location is very narrow and compact. If your players card status it platinum or higher, then parking and valet are complimentary as well. Walking into the lobby is very spacious and you can do a self check in at their kiosk for a little at ease versus in line. Although there were no lines to wait in when we arrived., we did have a couple of questions and the staff was really nice in respectfully answering. You will have to access the elevator to get to any of the rims. Elevators seem a bit small as well so beware Incase you are not fond of smaller spaces. But overall our stay was pleasant and peaceful. A few little shops were also located insode for some nice attire, or if you have a sweetheart tooth, you can visit the Cinnabon that was very tasty and just what I wanted. When it was time for us to leave, the process of checking out was easy and quick.

Ask the Community - Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe - A Caesars Rewards Destination

They have renamed the towers to Romulus and Remus. What are the old name equivalents?

The Tahoe Tower became the Romulus tower, and the mountain tower became the Remus tower.

    Is there an indoor pool?

No, there is only an outdoor pool.

Is parking validated if you eat at one of the restaurants inside Harvey's?

Do the rooms have a fridge and a microwave?

Stayed at Harrah's not Harvey. Harrah's has refrigerators but no microwave.

How much is the security deposit?

    $220

What time does room service end? Sorry, I don't see it on their website. Can I get food around 2am?

I dont think they have room service. I tried to order on the tv but it redirected me to an automated text number and they just send a link of available food options nearby.

Which room is considered better? The Premium Two Queens or Luxury Two Queens?

I'm not sure, but whatever it is, make sure you're staying in the renovated rooms! The older ones, I'm told, are quite horrible!

Is heated pool usable in December?

Yes people are swimming in January

Are there stairs instead of elevators?

    No, stairwells are locked.

Does it have Netflix on TVs in the room?

No but it's a nice TV and you can bring an adapter for it. We hook ours in with HDMI.

    Is there a spa here?

There is a spa but it is closed due to Covid 19

    What does VIP services offer?

    VIP is closed.

Is there in-room free WiFi? The website says "Fee for in-room wireless Internet: USD 10.95 per night ". I really doubted it in this era. Thanks…

During my visit in the summer it was not free. It was the price you listed and from a tech standpoint the price for the speed isn't worth it. You're better off using your cellular connection if possible.

Is there a fridge and microwave in the deluxe and value rooms?

Fridge yes, microwave no; those are in the suites. They'll bring you a microwave though if you ask; tell them it's for kids food or something if they hassle you. :-)

Hi all has anyone been here in the last week if so how's the smoke in the area going stay here this coming week thank be for hand?

I’m up here right now. Smoke much less than last two weeks. Still not great...can’t quite see across lake, but at least it doesn’t hurt your eyes and breathing. Weather great. Beach in front of hotel wonderful.

Is there bar/food service at pool?

There is a small bar there in the pool area, but when we were there (in June) it never had anyone working at it.

My family has two little dogs , a tea cup chihuahua and a 25lb havanese. We are planning to stay here. can i bring them here? If yes, how much do you charge ? Thanks

I heard they charge 80 per night per pet! Absolutely ridiculous pricing!

Does harveys have a buffet tonight?

No. Buffets at Harvey's. Must cross over to Harras Pretty nice buffet, nice view… Read more

It's a smaller venue, so no stadium seating, every few rows are elevated, but if you're in the back end of that "few" and have someone tall in front of you, you may be out of luck. There are cupholders attached to each seat, so that's a plus, I guess. There are two bars in the concert show room, one on each side of the stage, but they have very limited drink options. The bartender even said they were basic and that we'd find more options at the bar in the casino right outside the venue (as it's located inside Harrah's). The cocktails they made us were not good, probably because they just put together the best concoctions they could with the limited ingredients they had. The entry to the event before the show wasn't very organized. A line started forming and extended into the casino slot machine area, and a worker tried to get the entire line to move to the other side (we wondered why they didn't organize this to begin with). With all of the venue's shortcomings, the PMJ tour was the saving grace to our experience. Postmodern Jukebox was like a dream, and the sound quality and lighting were perfect throughout the show. The performance was filled with so much talent on stage, a bit of comedy, Gunhild Carling's magic on various instruments, lots of tap dancing to go beautifully with the unique renditions of songs, and a little bit of striptease too. Just so much energy and effort from the entire band to create an extraordinary concert for the audience. We certainly had a memorable experience, and at least the South Shore Room had a somewhat intimate setting to add a nice touch.

We arrived about 7:30 PM and there was no line to get in here. The one thing I could tell you about the showroom is there will be parking issues. The Valet parking is very expensive. They charge by an hour, and if you are not a hotel guest, the price just goes up from there. As you were walking in, there is a scannable poster that lets you know all of the specific parking details. Bottom line is, go to the main cashier and get a Bally's player card. You will get a discount for parking though we don't know how much yet. There's also a notification if you spend $20, to get four hours free parking and $20 in the showroom on cocktail is pretty easy. Fairly comfortable though a bit weird with strangers. It's not a giant showroom like you see it in Las Vegas, so I emptied out pretty quick. What we ordered: Mai Tai Fuzzy navel Like mostshowrooms, there was not much alcohol in the cocktail. On the side note, the show was really good. Howie Mandel was awesome.

General Admission shows the tables are removed in ABC sections with tables remaining in DEF first come first serve. There are a few booths in ABC sections that are permanent also first come first serve or can be VIP again depending upon artist/concert. Hazard ALERT - some people jump over into better sections via said booths. We prefer section B or C but with the tiered showroom all areas have GREAT view of the stage. Check-in process is a bit antiquated considering other venues we have attended either take paper tickets, scan them or use mobile ticketing but here they have security check ID, then you walk over to a table where they look up your name on a printed list, then give a wristband without looking at your ticket - WTH and WAY TOOOO SLOW!! Once inside there is no signage or ushers plus limited lighting to find your section or bar, if you get inside after the show has started for any reason - yikes!! Sections are large for GA we have always had enough room to enjoy the show, dance, mosh, rave or if you get there early enough grab a booth to watch. A couple of things to note: bathrooms are outside of venue to right by East doors towards parking lot or you can go in casino until you find another one. Prior to show be sure to grab a drink from inside casino; because there is only one bar inside venue that will have a longggg line with an entertainment upcharge aka pricey but what you would expect. Bar is to right by Section C & D; occasionally they have a standup bar setup prior to the event outside of the showroom by the artist swag and Starbucks. With the above being said the shows we attended ROCKED the house, sound was PERFECT to include one of the performers came out in all the sections up close and personal singing with the audience - NOW that's what I call a performance that I still rave about! The vibe was AMAZING and I would go back again to see an artist that is on my list regardless of the little things I noted above. We like smaller venues, LOVE live music and any chance we get, you will find us out enjoying another memorable, music filled evening. #buythedamnconcerttickets #musicsoothesthesoul #musicislife

Music on the Beach is a great recurring event in Kings Beach in North Lake Tahoe. I went with a…read moregroup of friends for the first event of the 2014 concert season. Parking in Tahoe can be pretty dicey. However, the six of us in my group came in 3 separate cars ranging from 10 minutes early to 20 minutes late, and we all found free parking not too far from the event. I corresponded with the event coordinators through the event's Facebook page, and was happy to find that attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drinks, along with blankets and/or low-back chairs. We found a nice spot right up close to the stage and spread out our blanket, surrounded by a growing group of friendly people. We brought some wine and snacks, and settled in waiting for the concert to begin. The act for this evening was the Blues Monsters. My husband and I have seen the Blues Monsters at previous events in Reno and Tahoe including the BBQ, Brews and Blues Festival. They are amazing! They play a nice mixture of original songs and cover songs. The band has great energy, and at one point, the lead vocalist Chuck Dunn even jumped off the stage and mixed and mingled with everyone who was dancing in front of the stage. The crowd was fun, friendly and energetic! The sound quality was great! There are clean bathrooms and food trucks! The location is unbeatable! Who wouldn't want to stake their claim on a patch of sand on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world and listen to quality music until the sun goes down? I can't say enough about this event. We are already looking forward to the next concert (Fridays throughout the summer), and our enthusiastic reports are encouraging more of our friends to attend next time. One last note - these concerts are totally free, and you're not stuck buying overpriced food and drinks like you are at most concert venues, so when they come around with the donation bucket, keep that in mind, and lets keep these great events coming back to Kings Beach!
