Great spot. It's menu changed a bit though. Meatloaf & Fish…read moren Chips on weekends only. No paella, no broccoli & chicken over rice bowl, no lettuce wraps, no a lot of things. That said what we did get, bowl of chili, burger, deviled eggs, wings & salads all good. Guessing it was hard to keep up all that other good stuff. Bummer on the paella! Beer still good on tap which is excellent. They get busy, make sure to have plenty of time.

However, service has been a challenge during each visit. On our most recent visit, it took about 20 minutes to be seated with a party of four, including a child, even though there appeared to be open tables. After sitting down, it took several minutes before we were greeted. Our server brought waters and later took drink orders, but there wasn't much communication about timing or whether they were short staffed. Once we placed our order, we waited close to an hour for our food. We completely understand that restaurants can get busy and staffing can be tight -- we just would have appreciated a quick update along the way. A little communication goes a long way and helps set expectations. When our food arrived, part of the order was incorrect (we had requested a salad and soup substitution but only received fries). The server corrected it, and the food itself was good. It did come out at different times, and we noticed another table seated after us received their food much sooner, which was a bit confusing. We truly want to support Roy's and hope this feedback is helpful. With stronger communication and smoother service flow, it could be a great experience.

Gina's Good Life Music & Lounge - The bar

I visit Gina's semi-frequently as she does a great job getting live music every Wednesday-Saturday…read more I enjoy the vibes in Gina's and think the atmosphere is fun. Most bands that play there are great and while it is inside the Nugget casino, the smoke smell isn't too bad in Gina's itself. Gina does offer a full bar, minus beer on draft. You can bring in food but there is no food served. The pricing can be a bit high on some beverage items but in general it's comparable to other bars. Overall I think Gina's is great but a few things could make it better. 1. Some areas of the lounge feel a bit unfinished such as extension cords hanging around and ring doorbells being used as security cameras. 2. My dad often visits with me and does not drink. He is often charged for something like a soda water even when I order a drink. Understandable - but $4 for a single soda water without refills is not something other bars typically do when someone else in the party orders a drink. 3. It can be very loud. I do not think this venue was not originally built with loud live music in mind. Sometimes it's just a bit much. I will keep coming to Gina's for the music as I think it's a great spot, but there is always room to improve! Cheers.

He had a list of songs to choose from and they're all country slow version so don't expect an upbeat pop song. The popular most requested songs were listed at $20 like Wonderwall. For drinks, they have a list of craft cocktails like a coffee section, sippers, beer, mocktails. We ordered: Noel's Espresso Martini - delicious! Cafe Bamboo - Japanese whiskey Bonito - one of the first 3 on the menu that's sweet. This was very pineapple. Bananas in Nola - this is a sipper drink w 100 proof rye whiskey Elixir of the month - coffee old fashion The decor and vibe is very prohibition. During the day, they have a cafe for coffee, lattes and matcha w pastries. The beautiful velvet blue coaches are for reserved parties or first come first serve if no one reserved it. I would recommend to reserve otherwise you'll be at the bar.

Clean, balanced, exactly what I was hoping for first thing in the morning. First espresso shot wasn't great. Something was off in extraction. To their credit, they pulled a second as a consolation and it was definitely better. Not perfect, but improved. I appreciated the effort. The space is kind of cutesy, kind of silly in a charming way. Apothecary vibes, playful decor, not taking itself too seriously. Overall enjoyed the coffee and the scene. I'd come back, probably for another pour over.

The door was a freezer door and then you walk in to the actual bar itself. This is not a bis bar but spacious enough. We walked in and were sat by the booth all the way in the front by the music artist. It was actually so cool how they had the artist who was playing a saxophone, then the guitar then he can also sing and had a good voice. My major feed back with our experience is how the service was slow. We did have a big party, but what was crazy was that there was only one bartender. Mind you there was a host where you walk in and they count how many guest are there. The other person who helped at the bar did not come in until later and I'm not even sure if she actually helped out. Anyways, all their drinks I believe were the same price. I ordered the oasis which was really refreshing and tangy which I really liked. My bf ordered the tales of bourbon which unfortunately he did not like. Even our other friend who ordered the same thing did not like the bourbon. I do think the majority of our group enjoyed their drink. I would definitely say a nice spot to try and highly recommend it.
