Most bands that play there are great and while it is inside the Nugget casino, the smoke smell isn't too bad in Gina's itself. Gina does offer a full bar, minus beer on draft. You can bring in food but there is no food served. The pricing can be a bit high on some beverage items but in general it's comparable to other bars. Overall I think Gina's is great but a few things could make it better. 1. Some areas of the lounge feel a bit unfinished such as extension cords hanging around and ring doorbells being used as security cameras. 2. My dad often visits with me and does not drink. He is often charged for something like a soda water even when I order a drink. Understandable - but $4 for a single soda water without refills is not something other bars typically do when someone else in the party orders a drink. 3. It can be very loud. I do not think this venue was not originally built with loud live music in mind. Sometimes it's just a bit much. The other half is a music hall for live bands that you need to purchase a ticket for. We only for the restaraunt. We were greeted promptly and seated qucikley. We arrived at 630pm, the waitress informed us the fried chicken sold out by 530pm. Must be delicioius. I ordered the meatloaf with a maple bacon old fashioned. Both were delicious. The meatloaf was a slice which appeared to be heated uop by friying on a griddle or in a pan. It was a decent portion served with mashed potatoes and baby carrots. They had a dark brown gravy on the meatloaf and mashpotatoes. I have no compaint about all three. My old fashion was delicious plus it came with a piece of maple bacon!! Once again I'm a well known person in Carson, they need to have a better way to ask people and remind them that that they are about to shut down for the night. Also, when I left, near the side of the building a young lady coming out of that place, fell due to the icy sidewalk next to this establishment were many hang out to smoke and hang. She was hurting and might of broken her ankle. This establishment should provide salt or warning signs and or both!. They know people hang out there a lot! Im not one to spend my energy on these things but I do voice when it is an unfair situation. Again I was not showing any signs of aggression yet this place treats people as though they have done something wrong. I've seen it in the past with others.
