Years ago, this building was a gift shop adjacent to the previous La Ferme. The owners of Daniel's did a fabulous job rebuilding this structure, including repurposed stones from the original ice house building. I think a separate review is warranted as it stands on its own as a place to gather after a Genoa Town event, for drinks and light bites. We were recently here after Bingo night and following this year's lighting of the Hope's Tree across the street. The Ice House also has a nice patio for casual outdoor (weather permitting) get togethers. Gayle and I were also here during Candy Dance, for sausages and beer, and far away from the maddening crowd. The Ice House also hosts fairly regular wine tastings. And all this without a restaurant reservation next door. The inside is cozy with maybe room for a dozen folks. The bar is cool, the barkeeps know the community favorite adult beverages, and its just a sweet, casual, and relatively quiet spot to hang out. If you want a fine dining meal, make sure you have reservations at Daniel's. If you want loud, fun, and sometimes crowded, the Genoa Bar is just across the street. And 8 times out of 10, we'd rather be here at the Ice House.

Full of weeds, bare spots, dandelions...they are a mess. There are huge portions of fairway and rough around the cart paths that are destroyed. The place looks like its a dump and going downhill fast. There's construction work on one hole that I am told has been going on for 3 years. The carts are junk. This place could be THE BOMB! But, instead IT BOMBED? I'm in no hurry to go back to this place and if I had to pay to play at this place. I would have been livid. HUGE disappointment.

A nice crowd enjoying each other's company. Not JUST drinking! A little dancing, some board games and a good time. Clean air and clean fun. We have dubbed the big square table as our own. Donated some board games along with those they have provided. The light over the table is good but we bring a small usb desk lamp to tell colors on game pieces. Things were starting to go down hill in October of 2013. I moved to Reno in January of 2014, but still made semi-regular trips to Carson and stopped by my then favorite bar. The owner stared at me like I was a stranger. My two favorite bartenders, Nick and C, had been chased away. All the regulars had been run off and are now over at Crossroads. The place is now full of scary, prickly people. I stayed for a little bit because I'd been dropped off to meet a friend, but as soon as my friend got there I was gone. I've been back a few times, but nothing's changed. That friendly, Cheers like feeling is gone and so are all my friends.

The bartender seemed new and juggling a lot and doing her best. I didn't see Tedi anymore so not sure if she's still around. Time was the DJ/Line Dance instructor and he did a good job working with the requests the crowd wanted to dance. to. I like that its a quiet venue that's not bustling with everyone like other line dance venues can get. I'll continue to come here for dancing.
