I'll say right off, I'm giving them 4-stars since I had time to just grab one drink and a snack. I'm sure when I come back and can hang out for longer, the next review will easily bump up to the 5-star level. Firstly, this is a cool hole in the wall, very nice ambiance, and set back in a way that makes it feel a bit like a speakeasy. The decor is very stylish and atmospheric, with plenty of comfy chairs and spaces at the bar, and the staff were quite friendly. And while I'm not the biggest fan of these in here, the bar has many countertop video poker machines, should you be inclined to play. This is a full bar, so they have plenty of selections for wine, beer, and spirits. But the main attraction are their house cocktails. Only had time to try one on this visit, but that Saffron Sazerac was very interesting indeed, and definitely makes me want to swing by and try more of their menu. And should you need something to snack on, they also have a small menu of bar bites, which is just enough to hit the spot. And as for prices, I found them pretty darn reasonable, especially given this is Tahoe, we're talking about. So yeah, all said, I have been fairly impressed with Gaviota. Definitely going to keep them on my short list of drinking spots on North Shore, and I think anyone looking for a classy beverage will love it here too. Hope to swing by again soon.

To drink, I had the Chance of Clouds (Hazy IPA), which complemented both dishes perfectly. Overall, we had a great lunch experience and would definitely recommend stopping by.

Much like the location, this place was warm and had a heartbeat that was immediately noticeable, with lots of locals chatting with each and the staff about the day, watching the games, and enjoying beers and some unexpectedly good food too. Family friendly taproom restaurants are always appreciated, and we were stoked to land here during our staycation. As mentioned, the menu goes beyond the basics and we ended up selecting the fried brussel sprouts, pork belly sliders, house chili with cornbread, and the shrimp tacos. Overall, the food was good, which was appreciated considering the pricing in the area. That said, I was expecting a bit more. The tacos were tasty but very basic and not worth a second visit. The brussels had a nice sauce, but they were somewhat overfried and the portion could be bigger. The chili was good too, but nothing super special. The sliders were the real winner (and made me realized I should've ordered a burger) with a nicely seasoned patty topped with a slice of braised pork belly, which wasn't quite as tender as I'd anticipated from the description. Again, all in all, solid eats, but left me feeling burgers and pizzas were the play. Still, Alibi is a highly recommended visit in Incline Village!

My boyfriend and I stopped by after a BEACH of a hike from incline village, and we were pleasantly surprised to find an assortment of cocktail slushies that were all $10 and under. There was quite a long line to order food but no line for drinks, although it still took ~10 minutes to get our order, and it was a bit hard enjoying them with the bees and birds pecking at fallen scraps at their outdoor tables. Nevertheless, I highly recommend checking them out for a quick and convenient pick me up/refresher that won't break the bank!

Yep, food prices are elevated here, but consider you're at a resort beach at Lake Tahoe, world tourist destination, it's not so bad. Trick is come not on a Holiday weekend or even a weekend, come up mid week but still get here early. The food here is decent, I mean for a beach snack bar. They do have burgers and ready made foods available as well as shakes and drinks. I spent a little more $$ than normal on my lunch, but what the hell, you're on super vacay up here at the beach. My double cheeseburger and fries added up to almost $20. I brought my own drink ... which is my tip, bring your own drinks in a little ice chest. THe food was actually pretty good and have no complaints. I'm just happy they have cooked food available here at the beach.
