By far the worst delivery ever!!! Every time I order with OnTrac my packages are no where to be found either they're at wrong addresses or they were falsely delivered. My order is some boots from Timberland and at first, the package was coming from Ontario, CA, about 400mi from my place, so I thought it will take two days to deliver. But It arrived in my area the next day so I was impressed. But since then, there is no movement for 9 days. When emailing them, they say that they cannot locate the package(probably just auto-generated without investigating). I've never had any issues with Amazon (Diapers/Soap/Beauty/Wag.com) orders until they started using Ontrac. Any next day or two-day deliveries are always late. Because I live in a gated community, Ontrac drivers will see this and keep rolling onto their next destination. At least I assume that since every time I'm supposed to receive a package it's late due to "no gate code". There are 2 call boxes located in each gate. If the drivers used it to look up the unit # / name; they could ring the unit and the owner will buzz them in. Instead, they lie in their report that it was "undelivered - need gate code". First, attempt failed due to "need gate code" - lies. Over the weekend their 2nd delivery attempt the driver cited no one was home for delivery. We were home ALL day. We have a newborn baby. We aren't going anywhere! And usually, the drivers will leave the package outside the door since no signature is required. Which leads me to believe they did NOT attempt to deliver and question if they were actually working on Saturday. Day 3 (today) attempt the driver wrote "undelivered - need gate code", AGAIN! And now my package has gone back with the driver for attempt #4 delivery next business day. This is by far the worst experience I've had with Ontrac San Jose location. I'm not sure if it's one particular driver being lazy or needs more training. Maybe someone needs to show them how to use a call box. Yes, it's tedious to look up the unit #, but that's your job as a delivery person! Whenever I see my packages is being delivered by Ontrac I cringe. Makes me wish companies gave you options on courier service. UPS and FedEx have been more reliable than Ontrac. Yes, there are always hiccups with using shipping service but not EVERY.SINGLE.PACKAGE! Also, while on hold for a customer service rep, the recording says "Ontrac on time delivery or less". More like less as in less delivery as the drivers are lazy. On a positive note: I do have to say the 2 customer service representative I've spoken with have been kind and understanding. I just wish the delivery drivers had more customer service motivation. San Jose location PLESE PLEASE PLEASE train your drivers to use call boxes for gated communities. 8/30: Now my package has been updated as "UNDELIVERABLE Damage - Destroy shipment". Funny how all the complaints I've done directly with OnTrac and got their managers involved and now my randomly my package was updated to this. OnTrac - Shipping Centers Near Me - Milpitas, California

I live in a condo building in an urban area. OnTrac is the worst company that delivers to our building. They routinely leave packages just inside the front entrance of the building--meaning they had a code to open the door but were too lazy to take packages to the right unit. They have on occasion left packages outside the main door where it could easily be stolen. They have even been observed tossing packages from the parking area up onto the first deck without attempting to enter the building. Complaints to their office have gone unaddressed. I have twice talked to delivery folks who were surly and unpleasant. Such problems rarely occur with FedEx, UPS, Amazon and even food delivery folks. I would avoid sending anything by OnTrac and avoid merchants who use them for deliveries. read more

If you're trying to contact this office by phone, their extension is 4200. Their delivery workers are pretty bad, as these reviews illustrate, and I had to ask Amazon customer service for that extension (OnTrac doesn't want you to call them, apparently), but the woman on the phone helped get my gate code to the driver and was courteous and pleasant. Hopefully my packages are delivered on time from now on. edit: One month later I had more shipping issues with OnTrac. I waited all day for a package delivery, and happened to check the tracking info. They claimed to have delivered the package 90 minutes earlier with the signature "FD." No one came to my door and there sure as **** ain't no "FD" living here. I called Amazon and asked them what was up. Amazon called OnTrac and gave them a day to figure it out. Ordered a bunch of stuff. Delivery was guaranteed before or at 10:30am. Waited for the package as it's urgent (thus, the overnight), and at 10:29am, the tracking status was marked as " NOT HOME ON DELIVERY ATTEMPT" I have a dog that didn't bark. I have a security camera recording everything that move infront of our house, and our garage door is wide open for the delivery. I would be happier, if they said it was 'delayed' rather than lying to their customer so they don't have to worry about their money back service guarantees. Call support and it say, "There are 115 callers ahead of you". Oh great. I simply left the phone on and two hours later... still 80 callers. Maybe those callers dropped... felt like no one is handling customer support. Four packages; all marked as Not Home exactly a minute before service guarantees time. This isn't the first time.. hopefully, I will learn to pay more attention when I purchase something online and uncheck OnTrac as the carrier. We spend tens of thousands on Amazon per year for our business purchases, and we finally got amazon to blacklist OnTrac for us; very unreliable when you need something delivered "On-Time". read more

OnTrac lost a very important package for our company. OnTrac's driver that services our address does NOT come everyday (even though we pay for everyday pickup service). There is some concern that all of our packages have been opened with contents removed prior to their delivery (by OnTrac personnel). I love ordering from Amazon... I hate that I never know when Ontrac will be used instead of FedEx. Sometimes...they deliver the overnight stuff...sometimes...the 2 day stuff. I just never know...so now, I never buy anything that could break from Amazon since I run the risk of Ontrac delivering it. Why you ask?? Because...in San Jose...I had this big gate going into the backyard and a front porch. Most deliveries (UPS/FedEx) were left on the front porch with no issues. Most of the time I was home but they always leave SO FAST after knocking...I never made it on time to see the actual delivery person. Ontrac..... takes the idea to the next level and would THROW the package over the gate. I have SEEN this happen (master bedroom window faces the driveway where the gate was) .... seriously... bought a hard drive... it was dropped over the gate. Not left out front .... over ...the ...gate. I returned it to Amazon and said the reason was because it was dropped by the shipper. I did a full refund because what is the point of ordering it again if the same will happen again. Now....once... on a Saturday delivery...Ontrac (the only woman I have seen deliver in my area) left the package out front and she smiled and waved as well. So....I dunno... I wont order anything that can break because of them but I am happy to know that there was at least one rockin employee there who understood that dropping a package over the gate was NOT a good idea. read more

I work in a 5 story office building at Santana Row in San Jose. For the second time in two weeks, someone has found a package addressed to me sitting on a chair in the first floor lobby of the building. The lobby is open to the general public and has hundreds of people through it daily. Thankfully, there are honest people that work in the building and the package was brought to my floor. Most likely just a lazy employee who didn't want to take the extra 2 minutes to ride the elevator up. In this day of rampant "porch pirates", this lack of dedication is unacceptable. My only experiences with Ontrac have been a result of using Amazon Prime. While I appreciate receiving my Amazon orders very quickly - I DO NOT appreciate the lack of service from Ontrac. All deliveries I have received from them, they just leave the package on my door step - no option to hold the delivery, no note and re-delivery - they just drop it off. This is NOT cool. I mean I've heard of people following delivery trucks in order to steal packages after they are dropped off.. Today's delivery took the cake. I was at home with my front door opened so I heard the delivery truck (which was unmarked BTW if you are looking for them). I watched the delivery guy get out the truck (he did have a Ontrac shirt on) and proceed to drop off my box at my neighbors downstairs apartment!!! My complex only has 6 apartments and every door is clearly marked. Of course I know my neighbors get deliveries too, but imagine how pissed off I was when I went downstairs and looked at the box he just left on the neighbors door step was indeed MY delivery with the right apt # on it!!! I don't know if the driver could not tell the difference between a 2 and a 3, but I am not happy!! Amazon is great - but Ontrac is horrible!! If you can avoid using them - which sometimes you cannot with Amazon, try to avoid them at all costs if you can!!! read more

When my package hasn't shown up a week and a half past the guaranteed delivery date, I can't seem to get a straight answer. My conversation went something like this: Q: I haven't received my package almost two weeks after the delivery date and after multiple inquiries, received a notice from OnTrac that it's lost. An absolute joke of a shipping company. I ordered $400 worth of tools in 3 separate packages from Home Depot, and despite being shipped from California less than a 6 hour drive from my house, they were delayed due to "weather" (light rain), and then stuck in a warehouse in San Jose for over a week after the original promised delivery date, and then ultimately lost. I spent over 6 hours and 15+ calls on the phone trying to contact Ontrac's customer service. Most of this time consisted of their call routing system failing to pick up the phone, glitching and hanging up on me partway through its menu instructions, and hold times of over an hour. The one time I managed to make it through the hold to a customer service rep, they noted that my package was delayed, and were unable to provide a delivery estimate of any kind. They said that they would "notify the warehouse" to deliver the packages since they were "abnormally delayed", and promised to reach out via email within an hour or so. Of course, two days later I am yet to hear anything about the whereabouts of the packages, and I don't expect to hear from Ontrac ever again. I contacted Home Depot and cancelled my orders, and was provided a refund for the tools as all of the packages were considered lost in transit. I will no longer purchase items from any online retailer that uses Ontrac as its sole shipping provider. Online retailers using Ontrac during the holiday season and promoting packages as "two day delivery" or "next day delivery" are either oblivious to the reality of Ontrac's incompetence or lying through their teeth. I hope that the large influx of orders that were delayed or lost by Ontrac this holiday season will finally push retailers to drop their contracts with Ontrac and use a delivery service that actually works (FedEx, UPS, DHL, even USPS). Saving a few bucks on fast shipping ends up being a big loss if it results in damaged or lost merchandise, missed delivery deadlines, and customers driven to competitors like Amazon. read more

They often claim they have trouble getting into my complex, which heck, I'll give them benefit of the doubt on that; however, I had a note added onto my account explicitly saying to CALL me whenever they have trouble accessing my complex and they NEVER try to call. And good luck trying to call customer service I hopes of them contacting the driver to get the driver to come back because you will have to wait one to two hours to even get through, and by then the driver is long gone. If I could give ONTRAC a no star at all I will. This is by far the worse courier ever! I don't even know why they still exist in the courier industry. My first experienced with them was few months ago, I bought some items from nordstromrack, it took 3 weeks to 1 month before they delivered the items for a reason that "THEY CAN'T FIND MY HOME" despite of a very detailed descriptions on how they can find the address. After probably 6 customer service representatives help from nordstromrack, my packages were finally delivered. Their customer service is not a huge help at all. The second experience is JUST NOW! They delivered my package to wrong recepient (stupid e?) I called them right away - after being in queued for more than an hr! (yes that was the waiting period) only to be answered by not so helpful customer service rep, I was told to call the shipper, I also sent them an email and was told the same, I mean wtf? It is you ONTRAC that has a problem here, I hope you live up to your name. ONTRAC because you can't be tracked. The worst courier ever! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THEM!!!! I ordered something for my nephew, OnTrac online system showed it was received by their local(same city as I live in) warehouse last Friday early morning. I thought I would receive it shortly... Nope! It's been 5 days & I have tried calling, emailing & finally called them a few mins after they open... after waiting for a while.. finally a customer service rep said... yes our warehouse has received it... but I will need a file a lost item report!!! Xmas present for my nephew for something simple though very sentimental for him... & not avail anywhere anymore... so I can't reorder! Don't have a heart to let him know he will not get it this Xmas! I checked the tracking on my package and it stated delivered at 839am today. So I called my husband (he was at home) to see if he had my package. He said NOPE, no one has been here today. I told him that according to the OnTrac site, my package was delivered to my FRONT DOORS (odd I only have one front door). So he went outside and looked around and NO PACKAGE. I called their Customer Service and explained the situation and was told that they would send a message to the driver to locate the package and that they would call me back by the end of the day. Well the Customer service rep at least kept her word. Though the answer I received was far from acceptable. I was told that the driver's supervisor said that TOMORROW, BEFORE 5PM the driver would go look for the package where ever he delivered it.
