I've been coming to this location since 2020. I think back then they closed earlier at 6 PM, so I would rush here after getting off work to drop off packages from my company. I don't know why this UPS Store has such a low rating. Even before the ownership changed I liked to frequent this location because its convenient for me to drop off my Amazon returns and to ship things to friends and family. I do agree with the other yelpers, the new owners are nice and very welcoming. I've never experienced any bad customer service. The store is clean and prices are reasonable. I recently visited the store this Saturday and them very surprised by some of the past reviews very blessed that the service I got was top-notch if I had more stars, I would definitely givegive them more. A gentleman that was at the front desk help me with everything I needed to do step-by-step with a simple email. He was able to print on color for the delivery of the package and white and black for warning of batteries. Of course there was a charge for the copies but it was well worth because I didn't have to do anything myself just show him the email and he took care of the rest. I'm here often to return packages bc it's not only closer to my parents home, but it's convenient that it's in my hometown and I trust this store to service my needs and ship my packages accordingly.  Not too long ago, I had arrived at closing and had my label printed ($2) and packaged for shipment, only to realize a few minutes (after I had already left the store), that I had used the wrong label for return on the box of items meant for another shipping carrier. SMDH. I immediately called the store one minute to closing and the manager or the man with glasses that's always there, answered and apologized there was no more time for me to return and retrieve my package, but that they could hold onto it until I came back the following business day. They held onto their promise, I collected the box and was able to ship it with the correct carrier.  The couple is always nice and accommodating. Even their son who popped out that one time to assist me. I feel bad, I should start bringing my own packaging tape with me. (Most UPS shops like in San Mateo or Sunnyvale locations charge you for this, but this location is not stingy). I understand why some reviews complain of being provided tape or not, but I almost always bring my package ready to go and usually need extra tape to secure the label. It helps ensure my package is ready to go and one less detail the store has to be responsible for. It certainly takes two to tango. This store is always busy especially during high foot traffic during lunch or after work. If you come first thing in the morning around 9 a.m., you'll have the store and services to yourself.  The only negative factor I can say about this place is that their internet is slow. So you might want to memorize their email address for printing purposes and compose your email in your car before you head inside the store.  I'm not sure what the negative reviews are about. I'm always greeted a good morning or hello when I come in and they are not busy. Politeness with everyone you come across goes a long way and that has proven time and time again that people will reciprocate that when you need their help. I had awful experiences with this store and the staff but due to proximity to my house, gave it another shot and had a wonderful and easy interaction and transaction with staff. Courteous, polite and helpful. Went back after a few weeks (maybe months) and they are the same helpful and courteous staff I encountered last time! So yes, it's okay to come here now. Today, I came into this UPS store as I have done for the last 4 years to pick up a package from Walmart.com. The owner had asked me for my I.D. as he normally does (every time for the last 4 years). Expecting as it always was in the past that my maiden Vietnamese name is Dieu, and my naturalized American name is Don, but the last name and address is exactly the same, being Nguyen as the surname and the address IDENTICAL on my California Driver's license. So what's the big deal this time? He then asked me for the last 4 digits of my UPS tracking number which I said no problem, I will pull it up on my Google Pixel smartphone right then and there. Then a line forms as it always does and he says he doesn't need it anymore. I tell him just give me a minute, and I will provide the UPS tracking number. He then begins to lecture me AGAIN about how my name doesn't match. I respond yet again that my naturalized citizenship name Don is on ALL my pertinent IDs and even U.S. passport, but my Amazon and other shopping info names are on my original maiden First name. We get into an argument in front of forming long line, and he tells me I should go to another UPS store. So I will. Just changed my UPS pickup location to a different store. I told him that he should take a look at his Google reviews, because they are accurately rated at 2.5 stars for a valid reason. Nobody needs to go through all this nonsense just to pick up their packages. I've visited this location numerous times, and the customer service provided by the Asian man has consistently been poor. It's unclear why or how he continues to represent this UPS facility, as his service reflects a lack of training and care for customers. If possible, I would rate this place 0.5 stars. We've lived in Milpitas for 27 years and done business all around here, and I can't remember when this UPS store wasn't at this location. We've been dropping off packages regularly (3-8 times a month) for about 8 years for business shipments. For about the past 6 months, we've used this location for both inbound and outbound shipments for my business. I was checking this morning to see when they opened, because I need to go pick up a shipment for a customer order that we need to get shipped out tomorrow, and saw the terrible rating this store has. To me, this two star rating makes no sense. Even considering they seem to have had a change in management in 2024, we've been dropping off packages for outbound shipments more than once a week for 8 years. I think, after checking with all my employees, we've had a grand total of two incidents of rudeness or a general customer service problems. In 8 years. My wife, who drops off Macy's return packages sometimes multiple times every week, confirmed this is her experience. In the past 6 months, I've been going in myself for inbound and outbound mail/shipments nearly on a daily basis for my business. One time I had 3 separate shipments waiting for pickup, but they told me there was only 2 shipments. I left to check the tracking status, then came back after confirming they had mistakenly not given me that third shipment that I needed. I gave them the tracking number, they checked, and it had been stored improperly, so they missed it. Both of the people there, the asian lady and the asian man, apologized repeatedly, profusely, and I was just confused, telling them it was all fine, everybody makes a mistake sometimes. The next day when I went in to pick up another shipment, the asian lady again apologized repeatedly for that previous mistake, and I smiled and said it was fine, at least they didn't lose it. This store gives us a receipt for dropped off shipments every time without asking, no charge. They take both regular and redirected UPS shipments, again, no direct charge. They host mailboxes and take and hold shipments of any size, even up to a full palette, but like the asian guy told me, they have limited space, so a palette shipment might be stored in front of the store. No problem for us, we'll pick up same day, it's just nice to have a place that could even receive a full palette shipment. They take outbound USPS shipments, but warn that after a certain time of day (10-11am), they go out the next day. No problem, because I've never had to wait behind more than 3-4 people in line, while the regular post office you often wait behind 10-15 people. This place will do just about anything you want if you ask. Give them a chance. read more

Most UPS stores have packaging tapes readily available. Even post office has tapes available as needed. I Normally will have my shipping package nicely seal before I head into a shipping store. This time, I had a question about the item that I was going to ship and didn't want to seal the package before I ask about the shipping question, and I was reluctant to bring tape because each place I've been to has tape available. As I finished with my question and asked for some tape. I was told next time, I need to tape my package before coming in. I was thinking to myself, is it that big of a deal to use their tape? I never want to go to yelp to review any store because it will affect the local business. This will be the first review in my life. Last time, I come and drop off the box to return to the Amazon. Usually, my father help me to return so I do not know I have to tape the box. The old guy with the glass was really mean to me and ask me to go home because the tape is not available and he would not help me to tape the box. I brought the box home and return it again by Staples ( next to the Safeway) in the same plaza. Staples has good customer service. Today, I went back because I have to return 5 big boxes. Seriously, I would tell myself that I have to go to other UPS. Not this location, but no UPS open on sunday. So I had to go to this store. The same old man is mean to me again. All my boxes is around 20-30 lbs. When Im in front of the counter for him to scan my lable. I asked him to help me. Because the boxes are big. He said no. Then after he scan, he asked me to leave the box on the floor by myself. All the small boxes i did it. And the big box, i asked. He is mean and finally, after I scratch myself and bleeding. I asked again and he helped. Otherwise, he would not help. Which I have to pay for the fee, money, time. This store is not the right place for customer service I hope the manager, the boss, the owner can read this review then they should have done something to the Old guy so he can have a better customer service. I've been to this UPS and another one around the town since I'm a local for almost 10 years. Here was previous owned by someone else and that dude worked here which was rude, so I turned to the UPS on Warren Ave in Fremont for w while even it's further distance for me. This UPS changed to a new management team for quite a while already after the pandemic and they are so friendly & helpful! (Seems it's owned by an Asian couple). They greet and thank you for the business that you come in with (even when the times I was just making my Amz returns). Very fast to get you serviced and I hardly have to wait for long. Once I realized this store is under new ownership and tried myself, I'm happy with the service so come back most of the times now. Seems the low rating shown has been carried over from previous management which I think is not fair. Don't be hesitated to come here for services. Today, Gov't of Canada called and said my passport photo taken at this store has glare and can't process my application. I have to re-take the pic. Summary: UPS stores are great, just not this one. Use a different one. Based on today's experience, this would be a 1 star review. However, we've gotten decent service in the past, so I'll award two. However, let me relay today's experience. The UPS store costs more than the post office. Why? Convenience. You go with something you want to mail, an address and money. The item may not be packaged quite right, or at all. You give them money to solve any packaging problems you're having and to mail your item. They don't understand that here. I showed up with a box that had an amazon return item. The box wasn't closed because I ran out of tape - figured I could address that at the UPS store. The following dialogue ensued. Emp: "You have to leave. Come back when the box is tape closed." Me: "You can't tape it closed?" Emp: "No. Come back when box is tape closed." Me: "Can I just buy another box please? I don't want to wait in line again." Emp: "Go tape the box. Then come back." She didn't even offer to sell me tape, which I'm sure they have. I went to the Berryessa store. Pre-emptively, I grabbed some tape off the wall. I had the following dialogue. Me: "I need to mail this amazon return. I ran out of tape to close the box." Emp: "Oh, would you like to buy that roll of tape for $6? Or, I could tape it closed for $2." Me: "Please tape it then, and I'll leave the tape. Where do I put the address label?" Emp: --He showed me exactly where to put the label, explaining it clearly.-- This Milpitas store really needs to get their priorities straight. Went to UPS store asked for fasted document delivery. Offered $126 "USPS international priority 5 days Delayed for 3 weeks. after multiple calls no updates. I had to mail again through other courier. My Package finally delivered 26 days later by USPS. no refund or anything offered. I'm a bit surprised by the low rating, but you know, everyone has their experiences. I came in, dropped off my packages and headed out on my happy way. It was quick, easy, and really didn't have any real issues with any of the folks there. I guess I was lucky? Either way, this UPS is located in a large plaza in Milpitas in the same place where there's a Safeway. It's off on the side so you can't really see if from the street too well if you're coming from Calaveras. Convenient if you're in the area. read more

In addition, I had a USPS package that I needed to mail out, and the guy working there kindly let me know that he could take it, but wouldn't be able to scan it for the USPS system. I stopped in The UPS Store over this week to take care of shipping a prepaid package and to return some Amazon items. As I entered the store, there were two people in front of me. One was off to the side filling out some paperwork and the other person went to the front desk to take care of their mailing. They took care of their transaction pretty quick and then I was up. The person at the front desk greeted me and asked me how he could help me. I let him know I had to do a mailing and some Amazon returns. I first started with the prepaid labeled item and mailed that first. Then he was patient as I had to do around five separate returns. He completed my returns in a fast and friendly manner and I was on my way out. It was also nice this place opened a few minutes earlier than their posted hours on their door. read more

I have my package delivered to UPS access point and I choose this store because it is close to my house. I showed him my ID, showed him my email the delivery notice to this store then he went to grab my package with my name on it but guess what, he won't let me pick it up just because there no my home address on it. Each UPS store is individually owned. Please save yourself and do NOT go to this one. The service is horrible. I've come here 3 times and all 3 experiences have been horrible. I can't get a reimbursement or refund from the printer insurance because they never gave me a receipt.
