I called West Oahu Roofing after the storm that hit Oahu on Thursday, January 30, 2025 because I discovered a small leak in my living room. Bernard, the owner & President came out Saturday following the storm and found the leak right away. Despite being a small job, he promptly submitted a proposal. After other companies came out, I hired West Oahu Roofing. Bernard also sent his carpenter to look at a corner of my home subject to rot due to rain/moisture. In a few days both my leak in the living room and exterior rot were fixed on the same day! I certainly recommend West Oahu Roofing, and will call them for future roofing issues.

We (Management) are not too familiar with the process in regards to remediation, insurance claims and timelines so their guidance has been extremely helpful and reassuring. They even attended a meeting in which they addressed various concerns from management to unit owners. My take prior to dealing with Ohana was that all of these companies all very similar other than who has a GC license and who doesn't but I've been sadly mistaken. Speed, timing, responsibility and reliability is everything and makes the world of difference when it comes to not only operations but for the affected Units. For this I am extremely appreciative to Ohana Construction.

I cannot recommend Kalei and R&C Roofing highly enough! Kalei has been our family's trusted roofer…read morefor years--he has completed roofs for my mom, my Tutu, my brother, and me. The fact that our entire family continues to turn to him speaks volumes about the quality of his work and the trust he has earned. Kalei replaced my roof in 2020, and it was not a simple job. Several boards needed to be replaced, additional repairs had to be completed, and there was an existing skylight that the team had to carefully work around. They handled every detail quickly, efficiently, and professionally. What could have been a stressful project felt completely manageable, and the finished work was exceptional. Kalei is knowledgeable, responsive, dependable, and genuinely takes pride in his work. He communicates clearly, follows through, and consistently delivers outstanding results. If you are looking for a roofer who provides excellent workmanship and treats his customers like family, Kalei is the one to call. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done for our family over the years. Five stars truly are not enough!

Unfortunately, many other roofs in the state needed work after the back-to-back Kona lows. Although R&C could not come right away (neither could other roofers), I decided to go with R&C based on the positive reviews from my online search. They were very responsive given the big demand for roofers at the time, & more importantly, very professional & courteous. The clean-up was thorough & the price competitive. Highly recommended! They were all very nice and willing to work with me in regard to payment options, but Nick from Hi Point just went a step further. His initial inspection was the most thorough, he was the most informative, and he was very responsive to all my questions and requests, putting together several different quotes for me. Even though Hi Point's price wasn't the lowest of the three roofers, and they only accepted check/cash, Nick's attention to detail, overall competence, and excellent customer service made Hi Point the clear choice for me. When the day came for the roof replacement, the crew had great energy in spite of the insane heat. They worked efficiently and cleaned up as best they could (I found some nails scattered around, but overall it wasn't too many), and I had a beautiful new roof in two days. I've been meaning to write a review for some time, but now Hurricane Lala is here and I'm so grateful for our new roof, I knew I needed to come on Yelp to thank Hi Point for helping me navigate through such a stressful time. If you have roofing needs, I strongly recommend scheduling an inspection with Nick and the ʻohana at Hi Point Roofing.

Was so impressed by his kindness and was very knowledgeable. Well we purchased the home in January 2026 and had an issue from the Kona storms couple of months later we had two leaks, one in the family room vent and the other small one in the hallway to the master bedroom. He came out and took a look and said he would be back with an estimate. HI Point was very busy with all the storms we were getting on the island and knew there were people with more serious needs. I called back and asked if he could get an estimate if we just remove the vent. Called back and decided to get it repaired. It seemed like the best option as we did like having the vent (which is operated electrically inside the house by a switch). Got the quote and went to the office met Deja who was very kind and understanding. She had their roofer Sean come take a look and he realized the issue and came back the next day with the materials. Sean was amazing! He is very knowledgeable and knew I was in good hands by his 30+ years experience! He worked on it all morning and got it fixed up like new! Couple of days later we received a call from Calvin, he was coming over to do a final walk through and make sure everything was good. He was great!! I will say HI Point is amazing and each employee is there to make sure you are taken care of! Thank you HI Point and team, will be keeping you in our minds for future works, you guys are the best!

It was completed in about 3 days, though there was follow up inspection and a correction of some work done, so it took about a week. They cleaned up every day when they were done. The initial inspection was complimentary, and they took drone footage at that time as well as footage at each step of the way. It was interesting to see my house from above! I think maybe my only disappointment was that initially, I had opted to get the highest grade shingle but resorted to the medium grade. The initial inspection was done in March and the job took place in August, so I would have thought that 5 months was enough time to order the materials and get it shipped, but was instead told it would take until the end of September to come in, so I just went with the medium grade.
