They have been "rescheduling" and giving us the run for over a month now. We try to call and get answers and they either do not respond or are very delayed in their responses.

It was completed in about 3 days, though there was follow up inspection and a correction of some work done, so it took about a week. They cleaned up every day when they were done. The initial inspection was complimentary, and they took drone footage at that time as well as footage at each step of the way. It was interesting to see my house from above! I think maybe my only disappointment was that initially, I had opted to get the highest grade shingle but resorted to the medium grade. The initial inspection was done in March and the job took place in August, so I would have thought that 5 months was enough time to order the materials and get it shipped, but was instead told it would take until the end of September to come in, so I just went with the medium grade. I would highly recommend Kapili to anyone who needs a new roof!

He measured my two roof lines and we discussed where to optimally place the downspouts so that the rain water is able to flow away from the foundation on our property. He emailed me my estimate a few days later and it included diagrams of my rooflines and where each downspout would be. With every estimate, I typically have some follow up questions. Glen responded to all of my questions in a direct and timely manner. He provides a 5 year warranty on the workmanship of the gutter installation. The other estimates that I received only offered 3 years or less. The estimate price from Glen was reasonable and within our budget so we decided to go with Alaka'i Raingutters. On installation day, Glen and his crew of 3 guys arrived on time and started setting up. Glen and I reviewed where the down spouts would be again. I requested to move one of the downspouts on the other side of the corner as It would've been in the way of a gate that will be installed shortly. Glen said no problem. He not only directed his crew what to do, but Glen also worked on the installation too. He helped to cut/fabricate the gutters & downspouts, climbed on the roof to fasten the gutters to the roof lines, and attached the downspouts. I really respect a business owner who works along side his workers to get the job done. This shows his passion to his craft and commitment to take a "hands on" approach to ensure that the rain gutters are installed properly. His crew was also professional and worked hard in the hot sun. They finished installing over 500 feet of stainless "K" style aluminum gutters and 11 downspouts in 6 hours (I was truly impressed). After the installation was completed, Glen and I reviewed the work. He attached another short downspout that connects to a lower gutter to ensure proper water flow to the correct downspout. I was told someone would call/come out for an estimate on Friday when I called Wednesday. I guy calls Friday at 5:45p but I missed the call so I call back and get the same girl. We waited around all day for someone to come or call but nothing. I think this business is either too busy or just doesn't need the work. Either way their customer service is bad before you even hire them so I can't imagine what it would be like if and when you do. I do not recommend this business.

My doorbell camera clearly captured the interaction, so there's really no excuse for it. On another occasion, someone associated with the company parked directly in front of my driveway and mailbox. My son went outside and they still made no effort to move the vehicle. These may seem like small things, but they say a lot about how a company respects other people's property and requests. If they can't respect a simple "no flyers" sign or avoid blocking someone's driveway and mailbox, I certainly wouldn't trust them with work on my home.
