When I was doing my facial it was just Yvonne and me in the salon so I did really feel like home indeed! Came here for lash extensions and wanted to see the different styles on models but the owner said she didnt have time to show me pictures. Fine, service otherwise wasn't terrible and the other staff was really polite. Materials: not sure if they were using scotch tape on my eye since I couldnt see but when they finished attaching lashes and removed the tape, it ripped some skin off my eye and also left some of the adhesive on my skin. I winced when she removed tape from the first eye and she just said nothing and ripped the tape off my other eye.. No lash aftercare instructions were given and when I got home I realized that there were visible chunks of glue in the outer corner of my eye where some lashes were poorly attached. When I tried to brush off the excess glue a few lashes fell off. read more

DO NOT COME HERE FOR A LASH LIFT absolutely never ever ever going to this place again. called in advance to schedule a lash lift, got to my appointment on time while she was performing a facial on another client, mid facial she starts my lash lift and goes to the next room to finish the facial. During this time she left the relaxer on my lashes and 100% left them on way too long because the next day I saw my lashes were a 90 degree angle from my lash line, half the lashes were not curled and some of them were twisted. I usually get my lashes done in the city but I wanted my lashes done in a pinch so I got a Groupon for this spot. I wanted to like it, but I really didn't which is really disappointing. It's hard to find on 86th street (above a tiny hole in the wall "watch" shop). No big deal. I arrived at my appointment time and was greeted by the owner who was super friendly. She showed me the options but kept trying to sell me the lashes that are put on in groups, even though I definitely wanted individual lash extensions. I wanted to go with the glam look so I paid extra in addition to my Groupon. No problem. Time to get my lashes done, right? NOPE. I waited an hour for my turn. I guess appointments aren't really a thing here. The space isn't super relaxing. Definitely a no frills spot. The woman doing my lashes was meticulous which I definitely appreciated but these extensions took forever. 2+ hours! I've gotten my lashes done quite a few times in the city and it NEVER EVER took this long. I was starting to get antsy and asked for the time, and every time I did I was told it would be another 15 minutes. From the time of my arrival to the time my lashes were done = 3.5 hours. Definitely not somewhere you want to go if you're in a hurry. I will say that the owner was super sweet which makes me sad to give this place a bad rating but I have no choice but to do so (I'll throw in an extra star though b/c she was very apologetic about the wait and all that). The lash quality was just really bad. Either that or they are using straight poison to stick these things to your eyes because my lashes look horrible after these fell out. I had really long lashes to begin with but wanted some extra oomph. The oomph was there at first, but at what cost? My lashes basically broke off and are super short now. They're not even worth using mascara on which is really sad. Now that I know better, I'll be much more selective on where I get my lashes done and what type of product I allow people to use on my eyes. Don't get the Groupon for this place. Man - what a damn disaster! Just like my fellow Yelpers, my "60 minute" facial with an eye mask turned into a TWO HOUR plus ordeal! Not because they were generous or anything, it's just because they have one girl doing TWO facials at the same time - oh - and in the SAME room as you! Here's how my experience went down. I arrived, and had to pay the $3.80 "tax" on my Groupon. I never understood that, but whatever. I arrived on time for my 2PM facial and eye mask on Friday. She ushers me into a room that looks like a kid's bedroom turned into facial room, where there's already another girl laying there getting her facial done! I was told to be topless and put on this robe and wait. It was like us sitting in two twin beds where we could've held hands - that's how close she was to me with NO PARTITION! Lucky for me, the girl was sound asleep and the windows rattled every time the train went by. Sales Pitch #1: I got changed, and then she puts some creams on my face to assess my skin, and she's already starting to tell me my skin is horrible and I need microdermabrasion for a "special offer" of $40 extra instead of the usual $50. I said no because I know my skin isn't horrible and I was just at a facial 3 months ago without any issues. She continues to tell me that other customers get it and they just LOVE it; the answer from me was still no. Sales Pitch #2: As she is doing extractions, she's asking if I wanted my eyebrows done. I said I haven't touched them in years and I wasn't interested. Then she was asking how I usually maintain them. I was like - look - my hair is blonde on my eyebrows, and I have no interest in getting anything done. Answer was still no. At this point I was getting annoyed. It's 3PM now, and I'm thinking we're all good and I can leave, but then she starts to put the eye mask on me. DAMN - I think to myself. I ask how long will this take? "10 minutes" ok - Fine. The reason being was because I needed to pick up my husband from work at 3:50PM. So I was thinking I would be done soon and I could leave directly. During the whole service mind you - she leaves the room door WIDE OPEN! No privacy at ALL! I can hear her now on the phone following up with clients that "forgot" they had appointments that day and she's trying to fill in the rest of her afternoon. Being blind now with this stuff on my eyes, I begin to sense that it's more that 10 minutes past. I literally peal the eye mask off one of my eyes and read my phone clock - 3:40PM! I was LIVID! She finally hears me on the phone with my husband apologizing I didn't leave yet and he had to walk home literally a 2+ hour walk. I told her I had to go, but then she made me fill out some form - in Chinese - with my name and number. How do you call this place a beauty center?! This was one hot mess and I will NOT ever be coming back. read more

One of the best facial massages ever. I came here as recommendation from my friend and decided to give it a try since I kept having mask-acne. I changed to the comfortable bath robe then went for the massage. They definitely spend a lot of time massaging your face neck and shoulders which feels really good. The benefit is that it tightens your skin and relaxes your pores. Overall, they explain the type of skin and what to do to better your skin. Definitely would recommend. read more

If you're looking for a cheaper facial come here! But be warned that saving you money is going to save you a luxury experience as well. For starters the place is really small and crammed, I believe there's only two rooms for procedures. The room I was in had two beds and at one point someone else came in to use the second bed while I was getting my facial. You also do hear the train but the real noise was coming from the worker's kids playing in the lobby. The technician left the door wide open during the facial and I could hear everything outside. Despite the double use of the room and the noise levels I managed to relax during my facial and I would still come back if I wasn't for the fact that I disliked the technicians technique. For the EXTRACTION process she removed the steam too early. So much time passed that my pores must have re-closed because the extraction really hurt. So much pinching. I use to have cystic acne and extractions back then (at other locations) didn't hurt as much as the ones from One Stop Beauty and my skin is fairly clear now. Later in the evening after my facial multiple white heads appeared in areas she pinched too hard. That's something that I hadn't experienced in other facials either. They always follow the Covid19 restrictions there is Lysol and hand sanitizer through out the rooms. My technician her name is Yvonne, she's very gentle with my eyes and she takes her time. I've never felt compelled to write a Yelp review but this place really made me regret coming here. I've been to five other lash places and this was by far the worst and ironically where I paid the most. Right off the bat I was told to pay an extra $25 for lash removal and $25 for upgraded lashes and an extra $5 for tax on top of my Groupon. ($109 IN TOTAL) Idk if lash removals are typically $25 but they used SCISSORS TO CUT AND TUCK AT MY LASHES. I have ordered a lash removal gel from Amazon for $10 and easily removed my lashes but I had left it at campus. For $25 I didn't expect to have them physically pull at my extensions and cut them close to eyelid. I wouldn't be able to tell you whether they cut at my actual lashes. Then after a forty minutes and finishing my right eye, the "lash technician" moved on to the left. But the owner started calling people on her phone to come out for lunch and insisted that the technician working on my lashes will finish in 10-15 minutes to go eat as well.... she had just started my left eye and she did manage to finish though so maybe my lashes will start falling off in 10-15 minutes too. I'm giving one star because I acknowledge that I showed up late to my appointment yet they still allowed me to come maybe bc there was only one other client there. I bought a groupon for eyelash extensions. They were able to give me a appointment the next day. The salon was definitely not a luxury spa type of place - more like an office with two massage tables. The decor was severely dated and one of the staff members had to bring her five year old son to work that day so he was hanging out in the waiting room watching youtube. ALL of these things can be overlooked for great service though - unfortunately someone from one stop called me two different times to adjust my appointment time. After making the initial appointment for 1pm, they called and asked me to come earlier. I said I couldn't. They called the next morning to ask me to come later at 1:30. Then they didn't get me into the room until 2pm. You share your spa space with one other client and the atmosphere is generally relaxing with spa music playing (you know, Native American flutes and stuff). The application room itself looks like it came straight out of the 1965 barbie dream house. The eyelash tech was super helpful in helping me decide what lashes would look best on my eyes. She was friendly and worked quickly. Overall I'm happy with my lashes and it was the tech that saved this review. My groupon includes a two week fill, but after I finish the groupon I'll be visiting a new lash place. read more

Terrible experience. Made an appointment and had to wait over a half an hour until was taken. I asked how long it would take and it was an hour and 15 minutes...I was in the salon for 2.5 hours!!! Now for the lashes...they r short and uneven my lashes look like my own and not at all long and nice as I've had done before. I then pointed out that they r uneven but to no avail...the lady argued with me that she used the same ones when you can see one eye has longer eyelashes in the middle than the other. So $120 later can't wait for the 2 weeks to go by so I can get them filled somewhere else (too expensive to do it now) finally all of this right before a holiday weekend! Super upset! read more

I would not recommend coming here to get lash extensions. I stopped by last Friday to get them done with my Groupon and the process in total took about an hour and a half due to the lash technician stopping every so often to attend to other customers. If you're using Groupon, be prepared to pay extra on top for any length over 10mm; this was unheard of to me considering I use Groupon for lash extensions pretty often at other beauty spas. I paid $15 on top for mine. I wanted 12-14mm, but she said if I wanted more than two different lengths - that would also cost more. Eventually, she changed her mind as she was prepping me for the extensions and said "ok 14mm is okay" which was nice of her. The first picture was taken immediately after my appointment, the lash ends stuck out like a sore thumb but overall I thought they looked good. The second picture is 5 days later and the lash fallout was terrible! I took extremely good care of the lashes, such as avoiding getting them wet for 24 hours, drying them after being wet, and combing them out afterwards but I still can't believe what is left! Normally good lash extensions could last 2-3 weeks no problem. Overall, 2 stars just because the lash tech was nice. read more

Review for the business, not the work: I am usually not one to complain but I feel that others who are considering coming with a Groupon should be warned. First off, when I made the appointment, I was advised to pay in cash and they would honor the Groupon price. I told the woman on the phone that I had already purchased it. She let me know that I would have to pay taxes for the service with a Groupon, which I was fine with. When I arrived, she explained that the Groupon was only good for 8mm-10mm lashes and if I wanted it any longer I would have to pay a $25 upgrade charge (not disclosed on the Groupon) Now, I've been to other lash places before and most places will charge for better material but NEVER for a different length. This alone left a bad taste.. it was an obvious cash grab. At this point I figured I traveled all the way to my appointment and agreed to just pay the extra money. When it comes time to pay, she says the total is $60. This means shes charging me $35 for taxes. Not sure how she's calculating this amount but it seems like she's making up for the money lost by accepting Groupon. I questioned her about the logic of purchasing a Groupon, which I end up spending almost double the amount. She replied with a "it is what it is" attitude. This is me and my daughter first time going to this place and doing a eyelash lift and tint, I specifically asked the owner if I do it will it show a difference and she of course said yes but it turns out I did it and it looks the same for me and my daughter. Yvonne, who runs the business, also has been my beauty stylist for the past 3 years. My skin gets a lot better after getting facial packages there. She's very nice, very patience and has a lot of experiences. I started with the regular acne, moisturized package first, then now I am loving the stingy soaked oxygen rejuvenation, it makes your skin feel clean without any pain. Found this place from Groupon, when I called in I was told not to buy the Groupon, that they offer the same price in store. The price on the Groupon was $50 for a full set of eyelashes. Made an appointment and came in, both ladies were very nice. The woman asked me what I wanted to do & I showed her a picture of eyelash extensions that were clearly individual lashes. She said no problem and got started right away. About 30 minutes to an hour after she began, the other woman came over to me and asked if I had a Groupon, I then told her she said I did not need one & that it would be the same price as shown there. Then she continued to say something about the price & tell me I was getting 3D lashes which is going to be extra & then continued to ask if I'd like something extra after that, I said no & she said okay the price is going to be something around $86. I never asked for the 3D lashes, I didn't even know what that was & it was a complete scam to make me pay extra. I have gotten eyelashes in the past & it has never taken more than an hour & a half to do. I was in this place for almost 3 hours. Once she was finished I looked in the mirror & looked like a clown. I did not want to be rude & let them know that my eyelashes looked horrible & made my payment. I had given her $100 & she asked if I had a dollar to make it even for her to give me change. She puts the $20 bill on the counter and says "this is for her right?" My personal opinion is that it is absolutely disgusting to force a certain amount of tip to someone. Of course I was going to leave her a tip because she had spent so much time, but you never tell a customer how much they need to tip someone. End of the story, I walked out with lashes looking like I bought a cheap strip of lashes and applied them myself, lost $100 & once I got into my car 3 lashes had fallen out into my hand, and now a few hours later plenty more are falling out.
