As a Muslim woman, privacy and respect are very important to me, and I genuinely appreciated how I was treated with the utmost care, dignity, and consideration throughout my visit. I was happy because Mickey spoke English and my Cantonese isn't the greatest (lol). I did the hydrating treatment. She explained what steps she was doing and was gentle on my face. I have sensitive skin so she was careful with me. She extracted some of my pimples and put this minty mask on me. I felt very moisturized for the next few weeks!! It was soothing and she adjusted the temperature of the room for me too. I went to the restroom and saw that there's a shower! Turns out there's other services like sauna!! Definitely coming again for more facials and maybe trying a sauna treatment.

I've been to a lot of facial studios around the city, but haven't really found a place to call…read more"home" until discovered Beauty Up! The studio is located near Sunset Park, which is a little far for me, but I gladly make the trip every month to get microneedling done. I have pitted acne scars on my cheeks that I have spent yeeeeearsss trying to get rid of and tried microneedling before at another studio with minimal results, so I decided to try it again. The studio itself is very clean and quiet since it's not located on the Main Street. For your first appointment, they ask you what kind of results you are looking for and do a quick skin analysis. I was told that I would only need 2 (!!) microneedling sessions to get decent results so I was excited since I was expecting at least 5 sessions. If you have sensitive skin like me, you can ask them to use a stronger numbing cream for the microneedling session. I highly recommend getting a stronger numbing cream even if you don't have sensitive skin because it does kind of hurt after a while. My skin looks so much better after just 2 sessions but I'm planning to schedule one last session after summertime! Prices are also very reasonable here - I would definitely come back for a massage in the future.

The prices weren't overly high so I finally decided to make an appointment. When I went in, there was only one esthetician whose name is Sharon. She was welcoming and told me the procedures. She and I made some small talk as well which made the time go by without any awkwardness. She explained what she would do before everything and overall, I think she was very patient with me (since I have not had a facial in a very, very long time, i clearly needed more time. Lol) she also didn't try to hot sell me but explained what I would get if I did get a package. There was also a nice mini back massage which was very relaxing. So overall, I did buy the package and would go back soon.

I walked in to their room to check on them, only to find strands and locks of hair everywhere! My 5 year old decided to play hair salon. I was so mad I was literally pulling hair out. Not only did she cut her own, but her little sister's hair, too. UGH! My husband and I quickly got them dressed and ran to Unique Beauty, which is 2 blocks away from home. This place opened up a little less than 4 months ago, I know cause I pass by every weekday morning when I drop Kay off to school, and this was the first spot that popped up in my head as we were heading out the door. The stylist was very straight forward, he looked at their hair and gave us honest advice. As much as I wanted to keep their hair long, it wasn't gonna work. Each cut was about 15 minutes long. He was very confident with each and every snip as he combed through the hair. Luckily for us, they sat STILL. I had my fingers crossed. I was very satisfied, and pleased, with the outcome. Lovely cuts, friendly service, and reasonable prices! Locking this place in as my new spot.

I googled and yelped to find one near my house, and found too many. I grouponed and I pulsd and still wasnt satisfied. Then i found Milady on the Internet- via yelp (thank you!) and saw that they were celebrating spa week. 60 minute massage and glow-and-go facial for $50. Yeah.... I quickly made the appointment for 430 the next day- Saturday. I planned my day accordingly allowing time for parking, and found a spot quickly. And thats when it happened. BAM. Sam took out the front end of a taxi. Honestly its a hilarious story i should tell it but ill stay on topic. At 455 i was done with that and Milady was calling. I apologized and explained my situation and she quickly told me to come on it. They had room. I had a hard time finding it because theres no sign...they are in a salon, in the basement. I was weary at first but quickly saw that it was very new and clean and peaceful. Small too. I was alone. This is nice! The massage was more a back rub but was fine with me at the price. The facial was amazing, but i learned the hard way my skin is way too sensitive for the oils. My only complaint is that the salon above is noisy so its hard to be too relaxed. At $50 id do it all over again. They were very nice Russian women and I didnt even feel weird being naked. Dont tell my boyfriend, hell get pissed.
