Stopped by One Guy from Italy for a quick bite before heading out to Llano Estacado Winery. When you arrive parking can be a bit tricky but you can park on a side street or off university. I'd recommend not parking on university as backing out of the parking spot can be difficult. When you walk in you'll feel like you've been transported to a New York pizza restaurant. To order you'll walk up to the counter to place your order, the cashier will hand you a number and then you'll select a table to sit at. I highly recommend ordering the calzone here, and staying away from the pizza slices. I haven't quite figured out what it is but the calzone is by far the best item on the menu. I ordered the house calzone which has pepperoni and sausage. If you are looking for a quick bite and a calzone, definitely check out One Guy from Italy.

One Guy is a Lubbock staple! We went here all the time in college and always make sure to get it when we are in town for a game. The food is always top tier with the best college town vibes! It can be pretty busy on game days but it's always worth the wait!

This restaurant is a Lubbock staple especially if you go to Tech. The pizza is always really solid, and it's a lot of food when you get it, I always feel full after going here. I went today and the staff were super nice, super kind people and overall great all around. I also like the ambiance of the place it's very Italian and they even have a bunch of godfather posters, which is a great movie. Would highly recommend

Good pizza. Full stop. It's not fancy by any stretch. The decor looks like it was old 20 years ago but it's a college pizza place right across from campus. Would definitely go back. The calzones looked good.

So disappointing! We had two friends recommend this place. We ordered a supreme on cauliflower crust, hold the green pepper add jalapeno. Arrived without jalapeno and covered in green pepper. Totino's pizza would have been better for what we paid for lunch. We won't even talk about the kid's spaghetti

I used to eat here when I went to Tech and it was great. I brought my daughter here one night now that she is attending Tech and wanted her to experience this place. We came in about 9pm on a Sunday night. The sign on the door said it was open until midnight. There were several others in the place eating but not a big crowd. I had talked up this place and was excited to share it with my daughter. We ordered a pizza, a calzone and sat where we could watch the football game. The Chiefs were playing and I figured since Patrick Mahomes is a Tech legend the game would be on. We got our food and as we began eating they started stacking the chairs on the tables, turned off the tv's and acted as if they were closing. The food is still good, but the staff was really bad this night. They were rude, of little help, didn't provide what we asked and rushed us out of there. It appeared they had more important things to do.. It was a disappointing experience for me as I had really talked it up. I doubt I will go back after that experience even though it was likely just a bad group of people working that night.

Very disappointing. I ordered a chicken parmigiana sub and it was inedible. Essentially chicken nuggets on a bun with canned spaghetti sauce. Not worth it unless you have recently eaten an entire bag of gummies from Green Gorilla.

I…read morestopped in early Monday afternoon, around 3:00, just before the dinner crowd began to arrive, so I was seated right away. I was traveling alone for business and appreciated being offered a regular table or booth instead of being directed to the bar, which sometimes happens to solo diners. I chose a booth and settled in comfortably. From the moment I sat down, it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into the restaurant's decor. It felt polished without being overly fancy, and the overall atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and comfortable. The music added to the experience, the staff moved quickly to greet and serve guests, and the dining room temperature was just right. Food I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which came with spaghetti and meat sauce plus a choice of soup or salad. I chose the salad, and it was an excellent start to the meal. The salad was fresh and crisp, with lettuce, onion, carrot, and cucumber, and it came with a generous portion of dressing on the side. The chicken was perfectly cooked--tender and moist, not at all dry--and topped with hot meat sauce and melted mozzarella. The spaghetti was cooked properly, not overdone, and the meat sauce was rich and flavorful. The meal also included a basket of garlic bread, which was delicious. Portions were generous enough that I ended up taking some home. Overall, the food was excellent from start to finish. Drinks, Value, and Final Verdict After finishing my meal, I ordered an after-dinner drink. Although Italian food is often paired with wine, and the restaurant had plenty of wine options, I prefer bourbon and ordered a pour on the rocks. I did not expect the kind of large single ice sphere you might see at a whiskey bar, but that is exactly how it was served--a nice touch. The overall price for both the food and drink was very reasonable. Considering the quality of the meal, the attentive service, and the comfortable atmosphere, the value was outstanding. This restaurant really impressed me, and I plan to return. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lubbock--just bring an appetite. Since my work now brings me here often, I expect to try other restaurants in town, including other Italian spots, but Orlando's has already set a very high standard.

What...was that?…read more Perhaps that's the issue. I remember what One Guy's used to be. It was formerly a place that I'd recommend to anyone visiting from out of town as a local favorite. It was a place I went when I cared less about convenience and using a coupon for some chain pizza and instead wanted something absolutely delicious. Sadly, it's not that anymore. The salad out front was decent enough, albeit pretty basic and definitely nothing special. The calzone was watery. Yes, watery. I don't even know how or why, but there was an excessive amount of watery liquid coming out of it. The pepperoni pizza was decent enough, but definitely no better than you're going to get from a chain, or (I can't believe I'm saying this) frozen. The sauce was particularly off-putting and gave me a different kind of nostalgia than I thought I would get eating here. It reminded me of eating Chef Boyardee vlin microwavable bowls as a kid. I was told that after taking the leftovers home and trying them the next day, they were even worse reheated. I didn't have that misfortune myself as I was done with it after the meal. The service was adequately good, but there was no crowd like I would have expected, and it's easy to see why. I'm fully aware of the reasons things may have gone a different direction (specifically downhill) at One Guy's and that there are now more options in town. I just hoped that this location still had some of that pizazz that made it special. Sadly, I was disappointed.

The location is nice if you're anywhere near the Tech campus area. It's right on Broadway. Parking can be tough if it's busy. There is street parking and a lot, but neither are the most plentiful. It doesn't matter what kind you get, you'll be happy with your choice. The Last Call Pizza deserves it's own paragraph. I think I can confidently say it's my favorite pizza of all time. As for food... we have been coming here for YEARS, and the consistency in dishes/drinks is not there. It makes me extremely sad, especially when we pay well over $200 each visit. For example- I always get the Chilean Sea Bass- many times it's lightly seared, leaving the fish delicate in tenderness and flavor. Tonight it was like Furr's Cafeteria . It was heavy with oil and the outside was extremely crispy, like a deep fried filet- so discouraging. As for dessert, I was offered a "complimentary" one for my birthday, but was still charged $12.00 for it. I didn't say anything... but really??? I had this same dessert last week, and this week the pretzel crusted bottom was far too buttery and over-powering-- so not only did the "complimentary" birthday dessert cost, it also was not finished. Finally, the evening started with drinks- my choice, an espresso martini. At the bar, the lady asked if I wanted "creamy and sweet" and I said "neither"-- what she gave me was AMAZING! She said if I reordered at the table later to say the same to our waiter, with my name. I did, and ... yikes- not even close to the same flavor. Overall, we love coming here for the atmosphere and waitstaff, but the consistency in quality of food keeps regressing. It truly makes me sad.
