Delicious meal period!
Chef Trent, an alum at Atelier Crenn, chef Pip, an alum at Saison, as you can see, some of the best of the best!
Josh the GM was wonderful too! So Ka on the phone with me 4 times regarding my reservation. We tried to come in on Thursday eve, but it was for friends and families only, we got turned away. Determined to come back, we glad we scored a reservation on TOCK.
Exactly how the name says, except it's a lot more than "One Fish". We basically went through the 95% of the menu with my best bud and hubby!
Tai Snapper - was solidly good.
Hamachi - was 1 of our favorite, my personal favorite!
Ora King Salmon - black garlic molasses, salsa matcha, was our least favorite, it was bland. The row king itself is perfect, anything add on, should gives me more flavor, add it more value to it. On this one, it took away! Just in our humbled opinion!
Tuna Poke - soy, mung bean, jalapeño, just as good as the hamachi! Love the crispy topping! This dressing was perfect!
Siberian Caviar - sour cream, onion dip, potato chip, wow, must order!
Kumiai oyster - frozen plum kosho
Beausoleil oyster - mango mignonette, chili oil, love this dressing!
Lobster roll - the rare dish with carb on the menu, the roll was perfect warm coming out. At $29, higher price point on the menu, but they give you tons of lobster :) so good!
Branzino - chive, flower, vin, shiitake mushroom - best for the value! This rare cooked dish, full of flavor, and cost equal to the raw hamachi! MUST ORDER!
Pig in a blanket - Chinese sausage and kimchi, again, the bread was perfect warm, love it! Only rare choice for meat-eater.
Apple pie - Japanese brown sugar - delicious, hubby snd best bud were fighting over this!
Oat Panna cotta - fig, pomegranate, one of the best we recently had, ORDER THIS.
Interesting wine list, very reasonable, by a veteran consulting Somm in the field! Live the 2 sake on the list! Please bring in at least 1 Junmai Daiginjo please ;)
Love majority of the dish, warm service, kind people work here!
I do wish they have Japanese rice or noods, yes people order less protein dishes, but after almost $100 per person meal, it was satisfied, but it only focus on a selected demographic! Something is missing but I just can't pin it!
Not much choice for meat eater, so if your friends/loved ones don't eat seafood, it's tough. Like my mentor, she allergic to seafood! Can't take her here.
People that can afford this meal to be full, looking at higher-end foodies, higher-end income guests...
Without carb, I can't drink more! Restaurants make more money on drinks than on food in general! We enjoyed every much our meal. We plan to coming back and sit at the bar, but as Tock system, it seems every seat is reservation only!
It's such a hot spot now, a much nicely added for Campbell, but it serves toward Los Gatos or Monte Sereno crowds... You get the point!
Menu changes it up often as chef mentioned! We are looking forward to come back on a week night for another visit real soon!
They have sushi-bar sitting, high-top bar, main dining room and patio.. Dog-friendly for outdoor sitting! Minimalist decor, simplicity is key style here! Give them a few months, this will be a popular spot of health-conscious cougars, yoga crowds! As well and foodies-alike will flood in here, perfect for IG captures, FYI!
Seafood and raw bar lover, you will be in for a real treat! read more
