We stopped in on an extremely busy night...so busy that they ran out of milk, which must have happened after I ordered because they were warning people who ordered after me of a serious delay. I am not holding it against them that I had to wait around 30 minutes for my drink. There was a special event outside and everyone in Clovis was on Pollasky. Service beyond delay was not bad. The latte wasn't very warm and seemed to not have enough coffee in the coffee/milk ratio. But it was fresh and frothy. And my hubby tried the hot chocolate, which he enjoyed. Atmosphere was nice. Not conducive to studying but nice fot a quick chat or to wait for your coffee. Baked goods selection was limited but looked fresh and tasty. The star are for service and ambiance only. The staff is wonderful and this little carved out gem is a great place to unwind and listen to local talent. Unfortunately the food is not good . We spilt a ham and Gruyère cheese sandwich which was probably the worst sandwich I have ever eaten. Supposedly done in a panini press which we could tell only by the faint lines on the bread it had a few slices of ham, some rubbery chunks of cheese, chewy limp lettuce and an absolutely tasteless sauce. At the price which included a tiny bowl of chips someone needs to visit a sandwich shop and get sn idea of what a good sandwich tastes like. Everything about this place is amazing! From the food, coffee, the staff, weekend entertainment, the patio, and the service! This adorable cafe definitely lives up to the expectations. A friend had told me about what great coffee they have so I decided to give it a try, I got a hazelnut brittle latte over ice and it was the perfect amount of sweetness and flavorful coffee. After receiving a wrong order, I went back to show them. The solution was them giving me a discount towards another breakfast item. I said ok fine I guess that's ok, when really it wasn't. I go back to order another baglewich, and the discount that they give me is literally a $1.50. I honestly used to love this place, it was my favorite to get a cup of coffee and shop around Old Town. Unfortunately, it seems like OTE is hoping we all take a step backwards in the battle against Covid, as this is the second time I've been in to get coffee this week and not a single employee is wearing a mask. As I am making a circuit of all the coffee shops in town have been here a couple of times (only on Sunday as two cities and kuppa joy are closed). I would place them more in line with Starbucks than my favorites (two cities, revue, kuppa joy, hi-top). The iced coffee feels over roasted and the expression drinks are over sweetened. Great Clovis coffee shop and more! I first visited this place last winter for an evening event of live music and wine with one of my favorite local bands, Deja Vu Fresno. It was a great night, great service and good wine selection. Yesterday was the first time I visited for coffee and I had the best hot Caramel Macchiato! What a super cute place to have coffee in Old Town Clovis! I was meeting a friend who works in old town & suggested this place. Sometimes I forget it exists due to most of my friends wanting to meet at Kuppa Joy. This place can hold its own though. The white mocha was delicious. There were a few food options that looked really good, but I had just eaten, so unfortunately I didn't get to try. Maybe next time! There's an outdoor patio in the back, but I didn't wander that far to check it out. So please consider coming here next time you're in Clovis. I love supporting local businesses so I went to On The Edge this morning. They have fantastic coffee, but this morning most of the employees were not wearing masks and those that did were wearing them as chin warmers. I know that wearing masks isn't fun for anyone, but it is for everyone's health. I turned around and left...lost my business this morning. read more

Talk about having what you need! After months of shelter-in-place orders, we desperately needed a night out. On the Edge has a big outdoor patio in the back. On this occasion we found they had live music and beer! The band was entertaining enough and the 805's were ice cold. We stayed for a few hours and just relaxed with some really good friends. In short, it was great. They had spaced the tables 6-feet apart and severely shunned dancing. The dancing could not happen at the same time as maintaining the social distancing guidelines. While a downer for those fans, it was quickly squelched by the staff. This is good only in the way that should keep this business compliant and open. We also had a couple of hors d'oeuvres plates between the 6 of us. I didn't order it and I didn't see it on the menu. It had 3 kinds of cold cuts, t kinds of cheeses, almonds, kalamata olives and crackers. It was great to go with our 805's. My wife had a Michelada and enjoyed it until the very bottom. It was a very basic, simple night out. The biggest thing was being able to go somewhere and enjoy some live music. read more

I'm all for supporting small businesses especially during these challenging times with covid however, I will not support a business that refuses to do the bare minimum to keep their community safe. We have been by a few times throughout the pandemic and not once have the employees been wearing their mask properly- if they're even wearing one at all. We continued to come back to give y'all another chance but last time we were here your employee with the black hair and nose ring was beyond rude and so far from the type of service we are used to at your business. Eye rolling, mask below the nose & couldn't count back change to save her life. In no way did she represent your family owned business well. Regardless of your personal views on the mask mandate, you are a business and it's crazy to me that you're willing to lose a handful of regular customers because y'all can't wear a mask properly on top of allowing your employees to be rude?? Pick a struggle!! If y'all really cared about the community and upholding your "family owned values" then you would take to heart the 20+ recent reviews on Yelp and Google that are all saying the same thing. We used to LOVE you guys but the way your employees have been representing the company these last few months is completely unacceptable and very disappointing. read more

We've been here a few times and Batista's they are not. First visit the drinks were cold, second visit they were average and this last time mine was good but my wife's was awful. She ordered a caramel macchiato and it had no flavor to it, tasted like black coffee. The girl behind the counter was nice but her boyfriend was hanging out back there with her and that's just unprofessional. It's got nice chairs and couches to relax in and free wifi. The location is fantastic, I love Polasky and it just fits right in. I will buy local every chance I get so I will go back and I want to really like this place so bone up on the coffee skills and you will keep my business. read more

An ok coffee in my opinion, not very special and does not have the barista that cares and knows how to make a good cup of cafe latte. At best it tasted like a Starbucks coffee, where the beans are burnt and the milk is over frothed. Also the only size offered was only in 12 oz and larger, great caffe latte should be offered at 8oz. I don't even have to touch on latte art because that's is non existent. In my opinion this establishment should really take the initiative to teach its barista(s) to make good caffe latte because without it it's just another Starbucks, and its sad to see that it becomes one, because it does have a nice location and great potential to be a specialty coffee place. The service was not too bad, pretty friendly. But yet again the server was not knowledgable about the postcard posted on their counter and doesn't know how to make latte. So 3 stars for now . Love the patio seating! I can see that it's a cute spot for a baby shower or brunch or something! The inside doesn't have a lot of space and in the mornings filled with locals probably retired and they are having a great time talking so if you're wanting a quiet place to work on work and homework, maybe not the morning. But they have good selection of breakfast items and their coffee is not too bad. Not kuppa joy status but it is good :) I think it's a gem and I'm sure clovis peeps love it here also.
