We have a scrumptious take-out meal tonight from On the Corner Grill. They were very accommodating and both of our meals were delicious and done just right. My husband had lasagna with meatballs and I had the New York strip with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. The meal was outstanding. We paid ahead by credit card and When we got there, the food was waiting for us in a bag on the counter to take out. Great social distancing! Gave the staff an extra tip so they can keep going. Well, first off, Cousin Ernie would love this place. Incredible extensive menu, large portions, reasonably priced. Nice dinner with my favorite granddaughter and her Mom and Dad Purpose to celebrate their new home in Southern NH. Our server was Jose, outstanding, knowledgeable, good personality. The food,as usual, we over ordered. Started with two apps, was enough by itself. Calamari was delicious, Grandma thought a little chewy, but she ate her share. Some kind of a meat egg roll, a little bland. I think Alex ordered one of the better entries Ahi Tuna, large piece of tuna, she enjoyed, her Mom's chicken dish was enjoyed, Dad got a veal dish which he devoured. I got the over sized stuffed pork chop, with rigatoni, very good, only able to eat half. Carol's Caesar was just ok, with tail piece of salmon. Conclusion: overall 4 star rating, service outstanding, large portions, good value, It's a family type of restaurant. Would recommend for future. read more

I've been here a few times and the food really is good. Tonight's highlight was the portobella mushroom appetizer..really fantastic. However, they now have a policy that limits your dining experience to 90 minutes and they don't tell you that when you make the reservation. When I commented that it would have been nice to know this in advance the hostess merely said, "well, it's on our website". If it is, I couldn't find it. And my online reservation confirmation said NOTHING about it. I was meeting a friend I hadn't seen in a while, so I would never have gone here if I knew that. We ended up having to go somewhere else when our time was up. And, we were "reminded" at least twice during our meal of how much time we had left. I've never felt so dismissed at a restaurant. When walking in and the hostess said we had 90 minutes to eat, I thought she was joking. But when the waitress came up to us at the end and said we had to finish in 2 more minutes - apparently not. What a way to ruin a relaxing evening with friends. If you go, DEMAND 5 extra minutes if they give you unwashed bread plates. PUT UP A STINK if your table isn't cleared for 15 minutes. And make sure you ask how much time you have left before you consider ordering dessert - which we did and shouldn't have. Is this the future of dining? On The Grill is OUTSTANDING. We sat at the beautiful bar and Justin and Lexi took excellent care of us. Lemon drop martinis were awesome. The bread was so fresh we had to slap it. Lol. And the dipping oil was seasoned to perfection. I had chicken franchese with veg risotto. My husband had the steak tips with mushroom risotto and both were fabulous. The food here was really delicious, however I wasn't really satisfied with the service. Our bread was served to us well after our appetizers came out and we were never aware that they were even running so behind on them until we asked. The dipping oil was ok I didn't think it was anything special but it was different from the traditional Italian dipping oil. My sons food which I ordered right when I ordered drinks didn't come out for 20 minutes and didn't even come with French fries (just chicken tenders) so my toddler didn't even touch his food. I got the surf and turf special which was delicious, but I did have an upset tummy after. Not sure if I'll go back. I probably will but it won't be the first place on my list. read more

We are new residents of Salem and drove past this restaurant during a drive earlier today. We came back for dinner and I'm so glad we did! We arrived 30 minutes early for a 6:00 reservation but were seated immediately. We ordered a few things - kids pizza, fries, bread and oil, garlic bread, chicken parm and chicken Francese. But the best thing we had was hands down the stuffed artichoke on special. I have grown up eating artichokes for 30 years, and this by far was the best one I have ever had. That garlic butter and toasty stuffing was to die for! The chicken parm blew us away too. We have definitely found our new go to spot for dinner and can't wait to go back! I hope the artichoke stays on the menu permanently - it was that good! read more

It's just another Bar room on Route 111. The food was ok. But the noise level was on the high side. You have to walk by the bar to be seated. It could have been a nice little Restaurant if they hadn't put the bar in. But again it's about making money. And not serving the community. read more

We've been here three times now, and nothing has changed. Good food, TERRIBLE service. Sure, when it's the second week you're open I get it, but in April when you've already been open for months, we expected it to have improved. Went in for lunch on Friday, April 12th and like all the times before, we sat at our booth like invisible customers. Servers just walked by us like we weren't even there. After about ten minutes someone finally said, "So sorry have you been helped?" Appetizer didn't come with side plates, took forever to get a water filled. Frankly, it's just so frustrating. We were so excited for a new place to open and while the food is better than Jameson's the service is just as bad. Maybe this is just New Hampshire. read more

The food is just OK, my husband got the baked haddock and it was the smallest piece of haddock we have seen, the same for my salmon dish. My daughter got a side of fries with her meal and they were soggy and all you could taste was the oil on them. My Mother, son and other daughter said their meals were ok, but wouldn't be running back to eat here again. Even our cocktails weren't that good, the expresso martini barley had any liquor in it and it's a small martini. The prices are high for the small portions you get. I want to like this place more than I do. I have dined here twice both on weekend nights and both times we had reservations. It was busy both times, but covid precautions were followed. The place is very small so they do rush the experience and only allow you to dine for 90 minutes. The menu is huge and there is something for everyone. To start, I have gotten the steak and cheese egg rolls, the mussels (Garlic and Oil), the eggplant rollatini and Aranacini balls. All the apps came out hot but none of them really wowed me, they were just simply okay. For entrees I have had the chicken ziti broccoli which was good and the Chicken-o, which was so dry and lacked flavor. My fiancé got the rib eye and he got the stuffed pork chop and both were just ehh, nothing wow about them. The waitstaff is okay, nothing really special about the experience or service. The prices are good for the selection of food on the menu. They have lots of specials that are on a board when your enter and on a sheet of paper that's handed over with the menus. Just finished lunch, what's a great little place, it's small I can't imagine the wait on a Saturday evening. The mozzarella appetizer was incredible, the chicken parmigiana and the chicken Alfredo was amazing rounding out the visit was our server who was also tending bar but was able to do both and not miss any of my tables needs. Went in for the first time Friday night. Second time, Sunday afternoon. Adrienne (I believe) was the waitress Friday. Jose was waiter on Sunday. Between a buddy and me we had (over the two visits) shrimp cock tail and mozzarella "sticks", Cesar salads, chicken and sausage catitore, steak tips, and the haddock. Desert was lemon cake and The chocolate cake big enough for 4 people. Maybe 5. Great food, good portions, staff was super friendly. The prices are more then comparable the menu has just the right amount of dishes and well planned out. Much better then a restaurant with pages upon pages of food. Its one of my favorite restaurant. Completely disgusted. I have come here multiple times and the food is always AMAZING. I was so upset when I walked in and no one was wearing a mask.
