Visited April 2025. What a gem. We stopped in for breakfast and everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The yogurt bowl with granola and fresh fruit was bright and refreshing, loaded with strawberries, blueberries, melon, pineapple, and crunchy granola. The breakfast sandwich was hearty with perfectly toasted bread, fresh veggies, and a side of crispy roasted potatoes that hit the spot. And the pancakes... wow. Fluffy, golden, and served with real butter and warm syrup; classic comfort food done right! The portions are generous, so come with an empty stomach. Service was great!! Whether you're a local or just visiting the Berkshires, this is the perfect spot for a cozy, satisfying breakfast. Highly recommend!

This is a very good looking spot, located on a nice "strip" mall, it's clean and the staff was friendly , the service was a bit slow and they didn't really check to refill your coffee, the food was okay, we had the Breakfast BLT, I thought that the egg was the star of the dish, but the other flavors were overpowered by it. If you like eggs , than this is good for you, but I like to have nice mix of flavors. We also had the Breakfast Sandwich , no big deal, and the Omelet a la Carte, it was good. Overall a nice place on a good location, will try it again because the potential is there.

"Frittata"

Feels like a local diner / cafe vibe. Staff were kind and seated us immediately at a nice booth! The frittata was on the special menu but was very underwhelming. Tasted and looked like an undercooked omlette. The crab cakes were nothing to write home about. Being in Mass, I had higher expectations. The wedges were thick, hot sauce and ketchup helped! The salad was very good and the pecan chicken was crispy but dry.

Great food, excellent service, and sitting outside is the best. Don't pass "On A Roll" up. Make reservations on busy weekends. You'll never be disappointed. A+++ recommendations for casual dining. Go for it!! .

Great GF options! Server was kind and helpful. It was really busy but it wasn't too loud. The highlight of this meal was the homemade sausage patty's. The depth of flavor and savory aspect of them alone make me want to return! Otherwise everything else was delicious. Will be back!

Lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberries

Was up in the Berkshires and wanted a great place to go and I remember this place and I'm glad you're still. Ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and added the blueberry's with it and if that wasn't enough to get me drooling.I added the chicken apple sausage on the side. If you're in the area, make sure you try this one you will not be disappointed. I guarantee it. A great little atmosphere with Christmas music playing in the background and great people who work here.

Very impressed by this café!! We came here wanting to get a late breakfast however they stop their breakfast service at 11, so we tried their lunch menu and we were not disappointed at all! Our server was very kind and attentive. And the cafe had some really cool artwork and decor inside! The Caesar dressing in the chicken Caesar wrap was the best I've ever had. It was a lot better than we were expecting!! Definitely recommend for lunch as well (they offer many sandwiches)!

Came for a show at Tanglewood Saturday, had breakfast Sunday morning. They accommodated us moving our reservation up earlier an hour, treated us very well. Chef welcomed us, sat us, and checked on us. Egg sandwich was delicious, home fries were good. Mom said eggs benny with bacon brie and avocado was "a little taste of heaven" would recommend to anyone! PS - Corned Beef Hash is absolutely house made.

Buttermilk Fried Chicken BLT and Fried Fish Sandwich

Nice little cafe, first time In the berkshires. Walked in with my lady they greeted us nicely very welcoming, very clean open space. The waiter was real nice, I asked between a burger and the buttermilk crispy chicken sandwich and he said the chicken BLT was real good and he did not lie! Real good crispy flavorful, juicy tender fresh the bacon was thick and crispy the aioli was a nice touch on the sandwich. My wife had the special fried fish sandwich real good fresh fish everything was great definitely will be coming back whenever I'm around the berkshires

This Italian cafe, cucina, & lounge has a large, very nice outdoor seating area (inside seating also). Very attentive waiter but didn't get the young man's name. Appetizers were marinated olives w/ foccacina ($10), Calamari alla Romana ($15), & fried zucchini sticks ($13). All served hot & tasty. Ten pizzas on the menu are $15-20. We had a variety of classic Italian entrees ($20-25). Five house made ravioli dishes ($20-24). All familiar to diners who like Italian styles cuisine, and appreciate high quality & presentation. Open: Mon, Wed, Thur, & Fri 4-9pm, closed Tue, Sat & Sun 11am-9pm. Very enjoyable first time visit here. Thank you. Nick & Liz, Albany, NY & our Parisi family

My dish was chicken parmigiana covered in red sauce with cheese, a decent amount of cheese (no complaint about that) His dish was breaded chicken breast and french fries. When I tried cutting into my chicken, it was tough! They only gave me a butter knife to cut the Chicken Parmigiana but chicken breast is supposed to be tender. I'm sawing away at something rough tough, like using the butter knife to cut a piece of leather or a hunk of tree bark. I kept looking over at his breaded chicken breasts---hmmm? I scraped off the red sauce and I had the same breaded chicken breasts that he had---mine looked like they were precooked (we had arrived just at noon) . The server mentioned we could order anything off the breakfast, lunch or dinner menu. Having worked in kitchens many times in my life, my take is they had a bunch of precooked breasts from the day before in the walk-in unit, slapped one down reheated it, ladled the sauce, melted the cheese. Additionally--the salad that came with my meal--it was likely laid on the plate before the chicken--the chicken, sauce was simply plopped over 1/3 of the salad. My wife's pizza looked "ok". This is an attractive place, ambiance good, very polite attentive server--- but the food is just an inch above the old local sub shop and pizza places inhabiting Massachusetts and Upstate New York---

We've been here a couple of times now, and I always look forward to returning whenever I'm visiting the Berkshires. I ordered the chicken, while my significant other ordered the duck, and both were outstanding. Everything was truly done to the nines. I couldn't have asked for a better meal, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The portions were also generous, which I really appreciate given the price point. You're getting a substantial meal that feels well worth it. The service was just as well done. We felt well taken care of throughout the evening, and our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. My only complaint is that I wish Alta would open another location and move to Boston. I would absolutely make this a regular spot!

What made the experience even more special was the hospitality. After the Tanglewood concert on a Sunday night, the staff recognized that many concertgoers were looking for a place to eat and graciously stayed open later to accommodate everyone. That level of customer service is rare and speaks volumes about how much they care about their guests. Outstanding food, exceptional hospitality, and an experience I'll be talking about for a long time. I can't wait to come back.
