I am not at all tech savvy and could not manage this by myself. My initial phone call with Glynn was very good. He was able to look at my house through Google maps and give me an indication of where on the house the best location for cameras would be. I scheduled an appointment for Glynn and his team (I don't remember the name of the guy who did the installation) to come out and install the cameras. They were right on time and had my cameras installed within a couple of hours of getting here. My house is old, from the 30's, and they were able to install and hide the wires by going under the house and through the detached garage. Once the cameras were ready, Glenn got the system up and running on my laptop and my phone. Once again, I am not good with technology, but he explained it so well that I can navigate the system on my own. The phone app is extremely easy for me to use when I'm away from home. After the initial installation, Glenn stopped by to help tweak the system and help me with any questions. We also did a remote session for other questions I had. The quality of the saved video is excellent. Overall, I would highly recommend Halcyon Security Systems and Glynn and his team.

We've used Halcyon Mobile Security Solutions for almost 5 years even through an ownership change for various upgrades, repairs, and new camera installations. Overall, the quality of their work has been solid once completed, and their technicians are knowledgeable and professional on-site. We did run into an issue with a camera that was sold to us by a previous rep (who is no longer with the company). The camera's speaker never worked as promised, and it took quite a bit of back and forth to troubleshoot. While the team eventually helped address the concern, communication delays made it harder to resolve quickly. Another recent project, getting a quote and installation for an additional camera -- took about two weeks from start to finish. While that's not terrible, shortening that turnaround could really improve the customer experience and help boost their sales, since responsiveness is key in this kind of service. Despite some bumps, we continue to use Halcyon because they do solid work once the ball gets rolling. With a few improvements to follow-up times and communication, they could easily earn that fifth star.

We took out the system when we installed new windows and doors. Big mistake. The "highly rated" competitor went offline 47 times in 3 months so we came back to dependable ADT. They installed everything in one day and it has cellelar backup if our internet fails so we are always protected. Only issue was a dead battery in one sensor, and service came out the next day - no charge. We're glad to be back!

I have problems with ADT…read more I have an alarm constantly going off all day long. I spent three hours on the phone with support department last Thursday and was disconnected four times. Support could not fix it. We tried every suggestion and even did a video connection for them to review the equipment and hear the beeping. They had me disconnect all of the smoke alarms and the beeping continued, they had me remove all the batteries and it still beeped. They had me reset the system and it still beeped, they had me remove the batteries from the keyboard and it still beeped. They had me shut down the system and it still BEEPED! I am checking the one star box only because there is no zero or negative stars. STAY AWAY FROM ADT I had to wait almost a week (Wednesday) for a service call. The service person checked everything and could not resolve the problem and told me it would cost $180.00 an hour to research the problem and I need to call the service department again. I called Tuesday and told them I want to cancel after 10 years and was told they will send a repair person again and they would waive the service call charged. I was told that the representative would be here between noon and 4:00 pm so I had to take off from work. THE SERVICE REP NEVER SHOWED UP AND NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO CALL. This is the worst customer care I have ever experienced and lack of response. I will be cancelling my account in the morning. ADT shows no concern for loyal customers. I will suggest to anyone reading this, DO NOT USE ADT SECURITY under any circumstances. There are many companies that can be used for less money and will respond to customers .

Before the work started, I discovered there was existing wiring in the house we could use. Hani was awesome and tracked down all of the existing wires in the house and re-used them before running any new drops. They also kept any damage to an absolute minimum, making sure they cleaned up after themselves and letting me know what patching and painting might be required before doing any damage. After everything was setup and turned on, we had a small issue I discovered on Friday evening. I reached out saying let's plan to fix it and Hani immediately replied that he would be out the next day (Saturday) to get it resolved! For a tile project, shouldn't there be an onsite evaluation to assess the work required? Moreover, if you had visited my location, I could have discussed two additional tasks that would significantly increase the scope and cost of the project to your advantage. In response to the owner, I did provide descriptions for additional projects in the original request. I was concerned about potential damage to the tiles that could require significant repairs. I have expressly said that I was willing to pay a premium for proper handling of the situation. When I mentioned those concerns, other providers did express a lot more caution about the tile situation and they came out to make sure it could be done. I understand that there's an opportunity cost to come out in person but I expected a premium service provider to be able to do so. That's simply not materialized.
