Ok so either it was an off day for the resto or the quality has gone down drastically since the last time I came w/ friends a couple years ago?? There was so little beef in the bowls (didn't look like the same amount of protein as their menu pictures at all)! My gf ordered thick noodles. These were the densest, hardest noodles I think we've tried in recent memory. I'm talking not only undercooked but also the dough was so firm that the noodles just didn't taste good. They were too firm and .... rubbery almost? I got classic thickness with my bowl and the noodles were fine (my gf traded with me halfway cuz she couldn't stand the texture of hers). I would also have to echo the recent sentiments that the soup tasted watered down. I rmbr the broth having much more flavour on my last visit. The portion sizes also seem to have decreased as well. The bowl was the same size as before (and they also filled it to the brim with soup), however, the amount of noodles and beef altogether was a LOT smaller. The pan fried chicken dumplings we ordered were frankly, very underwhelming. The bottoms didn't get enough time in the pan as there was ZERO crunch and the filling wasn't seasoned enough as well. The best pan fried dumplings I've had squirt juice out when biting in. I'm not even taking that into consideration since these dumplings were already lacking crunch to begin with lol. Service was very good. The lady who took our order and brought us the bill gave us 5% off cash discount. Ironically, I recalled this location being BETTER than the location at Yonge and Sheppard. Omni Palace is undoubtedly better if this visit was any indicator. The resto was also nearly empty when we came during prime dinner time on a thurs. Only 3 tables were occupied which is a red flag to me given how bustling this place used to be during peak dinner hours. Based off this dining experience, I'm hesitant to return. read more

Great food for a great price! Got the combo for 2, includes 2 mains, 1 app and 1 salad for under $40! Food was all large in portion and tasted amazing! Cucumber was very fresh. Lots of noodle sizes to choose from as well. Overall great food and will definitely be back! read more

Unfortunately, my experience here was memorably disappointing. From the disinterested staff who lost my order, to the filthy water carafes (they looked like they had never been washed). I had the Beef Chow Mein and there was so little beef there was no way to justify the $19 price tag (with tax). The classic noodles were undercooked and tasted chewy and doughy. The worst part was the sauce, if left a heinous taste in my mouth well after eating. I ended up leaving most of it because I couldn't get through the plate and regretted trying the place out at all. Authentic Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles. Great noodle texture freshly made to order every day. A small but pretty nice Asian noodle place. Their skewers were also very flavorful. Lovely location inside Fairview Mall, right by the TTC entrance near T & T. They have a window you can view them making the noodles. Overall the beef noodle soup was very standard. They had generous portion of noodles (I got the mid round size). I liked how they had many variety of sizes of noodles to choose from, ranging from angel hair to super wide options. Most places and even in the photos here, the beef noodle soups come with a few slices of pickled radish but sadly none in our bowls. Wished the meat had a bit more flavour and more pieces of meat given the price point. read more

We came on opening day. There's seating inside and 'outside' (where it's open to the mall corridor). Tables are placed very close together with little room in between. There was an employee taking down phone numbers for a waiting list. We were given an estimated waiting time of 30 minutes, but we probably waited around 15 minutes before we were called. There's a promotion where you make a purchase at T&T Supermarket (across the corridor) and you receive a coupon to order their Signature Combo for 2 for $17.99 (originally $35.99). This includes a bowl of traditional Lanzhou beef noodles, a bowl of braised beef noodles, 6 veggie spring rolls, and marinated shredded potato salad. Servers are polite, but there could be a language barrier (between Cantonese and Mandarin). We thought we had placed our order, but it turns out we hadn't. It's probably best to confirm that your order went through. When the table next to us was seated, they weren't given any water or drinking glasses. They had to ask partway through their meal. When our bowls of noodles arrived, we had to ask for spoons. Just little things they need to work on. Upon paying, we were given coupons to use during August. I was talking through Fairview Mall when I saw Omni Noodle restaurant. I decided to try out the food. The service was not that great and was very confusing. The waitress brought the wrong dishes to my table. The beef noodle soup was okay. It is on par with other noodle restaurants. Would I come back? Nice hearty meal of hand-pulled noodles, but long wait Food: Had a couple of noodle dishes, the shredded potato, and the vegetable spring rolls and part of the special/coupon that was provided. The shredded potatoes were nicely done with good texture, although it was a little heavy on the peppercorn oil. The vegetable spring rolls is similar to that of any other fast food joint, hot and fresh. The traditional lanzhou noodles and braised beef noodles were as expected, springy and bouncy as the noodles are made fresh on premises, and the beef was very tender. The broth for both was a tad underwhelming, but it's a decent spot for a meal if you're craving noodles Service: As the promotion/coupon was going on, there was quite a long wait during the period (over an hour during peak lunch hours). The staff are all quite young and seem a bit unexperienced, so expect to serve yourself water and minimal attention. Atmosphere: As it's a small store/foot print, there were all tables of two that could be combined to be tables for four or six, but don't expect a large party to dine here. Was strolling through the Fairview mall on a beautiful Friday afternoon checking out the new T&T supermarket when their afternoon special combo signage beckoned me. Traditional hand made Lanzhou noodles and 2 pumpkin cakes for only $9.99, had to pinch myself, was I still in Canada or transported to a parallel metaverse. I quickly ordered this combo before my metaverse came crashing down. The pumping cakes were not cakes, more like chewy mochi with a crunchy skin. I guess this is what cakes taste like in the metaverse, wonderful. The handmade noodles were firm and chewy with an abundance of parsley swimming in flavorful clear broth. After a few spoonfuls of the broth I felt a slight numbness in my mouth, there was no evidence of spiciness in the soup so I can only suspect it was the special secret seasoning from Lanzhou or was I slowly coming back to reality from the metaverse. I'll say the noodle is pretty good but the time to deliver the food was a slow. It was pretty cramped place so we sat at the bar table instead. They really need a place to put jackets. Their service is so friendly and accommodating. The restaurant itself is so warm and inviting. I always get brought to my happy place when I visit. Busy restaurants and long wait times on the weekend! So we decided to have dinner early at 5:30ish so we didn't have to wait at all (: the restaurant is located right by one of the mall entrance so it's quite loud. They also have some seating area outside the restaurant but I wouldn't recommend sitting there unless you really don't want to wait. Got the braised beef hand-pulled noodles in soup and I loved it with the chilli oil. 5 stars for this lol but the stir fried noodles with chicken was just ok. Chicken were a little cold and dish was a bit oily. But both had amazing hand-pulled noodles. Personally, I prefer the flat thick noodles cuz it had the perfect amount of chewiness. The staff there were really nice, they saw us struggling with pulling up the noodles and they offered us scissors Would come back for the soup noodles! Finally got to try this location. Their old one (original ?) on Comsumers road was a favourite of ours. We had the standard beef and cabbage bowl. Noodles were generous and had a nice chew to them. Beef was thinly sliced. Pickled cabbage was almost non existent. The portions of beef and cabbage wasn't balanced for the amount of noodle and broth. The broth was VERY salty and overshadowed the taste of the beef and cabbage. Overall we were disappointed. We felt the old Consumers Road location produced a better product. read more

Honestly I was really excited for try this place having a craving for pulled noodles. It was meh. We had the braised beef soup and the stir fried spicy beef. Also the beef dumplings. The broth for the soup was a solid 3/5 at best. The noodles were ok but lacking in the chewy texture I was hoping for. Beef in the soup was nice and flavourful but the stir fried beef noodles were all round a very disappointing experience. Although the noodles were good it was cold (maybe this is expected) but the sauce was single dimensional. Kinda bitter. The beef dumplings were actually the worst item. Average food with a side of attitude -- I've tried this place twice and both times the service was really lousy. I'd suggest that being Caucasian had a lot to do with it ... I got ignored, finally handed a menu thrown on the table and had to finally get up, go to the cash register and ask for the bill both times.
