If I could give this place no stars I would. I absolutely hated my experience at this dentist office. I couldn't wait to find a better place to be. First of all I waiting in the lobby area almost 20 minutes before they actually took me in to perform a simple cleaning. While I was waiting they had me fill out routine paperwork which included a question on what I'd like to improve about my smile. Once they finished with the x rays I finally met the doctor very briefly. He rushed in and out before we could really have any sort of a conversation. All he said was nice to meet you and since I want to have straighter teeth he recommend some type of Invisalign that we should schedule right away for. He also said that since I want whiter teeth we need to schedule another appointment right away which we'd do at the end of my cleaning. There were nothing but promo posters all over the place. I didn't feel any type of warmth from the doctor or his staff. At the end my bill was $$$!!!! For the Invisalign and whitening! Which I hadn't even said I wanted. I cancelled all of his extra appointments and left. Almost 7 months later I get a $100 bill for a missed appointment for cleaning. Wtf! I called and they said that day they had made another appointment for a cleaning months later. No call for reminders or anything! I called and they wouldn't do anything about the $100 for absolutely no services done. I called again after being bombarded with calls from them and they reduced it to $50! I've tried to call to pay but I'm always put on hold then hung up on or never called back. This office is the worst!!! Stay away! The only reason why I worst a good review before was because they gave me teeth whitening for it!! They bribe their customers for good reviews and eh service. read more

This is my first Yelp review. I am 66 and retired. I worked for 30 years in dental sales and marketing. I needed a new dentist and was directed to Dr. Farahmand. This is one of the best dental offices I have been to in my life and here is why. The office runs very smoothly. I have never had to wait to see the dentist or hygienist for more than one or two minutes. The hygienist is excellent...my teeth have never been cleaned so well. She is effective and efficient. Over the past two weeks, I have been in the office twice for replacement of a crown placed by a previous dentist. While I am not a dentist, I have a pretty good understanding of everything they are doing in my mouth, and Dr. Farahmand is at the top of his 'game'. He has been a dentist long enough to have lots of experience, but not so long that he is sick of doing it. I experienced 'zero pain' and he explained every step and what I should expect. The temporary and the crown fit well, and I am totally satisfied. Finally, when they see other dental work that needs to be done, they recommend it, but they don't pressure you to have it done. They provide an accurate quote of how much your dental benefits will cover and how much you will pay. I am 100% satisfied with Dr. Farahmand and his Arcadia staff! read more

I've had some bad dentists, and some great ones, but my experience at Dr. Farahmand's office was unlike any dentist experience I've had before. The front desk receptionist is super sweet. Walking into the back, all of the equipment was extremely clean and modern. considering that this is usually the case at any decent dental office, I never thought I could be so impressed by something as simple as this, it really was shocking. starting off, we did something fairly peculiar. They took photos of my teeth. not xrays, but photos, which frankly is a really good idea. later came the xrays and the check up. I went to Dr. F for the first time a few weeks ago and I was impressed by how detailed his initial exam is set up. They obtain your xrays, pictures, and go through your entire mouth from problem areas or cosmetic areas that you want to see different. I hate dental work, the drilling and numbing scares me but I am happy that Dr. F listens to your concerns. During my filling work, I raised my hand because I felt more sensitivity and I was able to get more anesthetic to feel at ease during the rest of the work. This dentist was chosen for me by my insurance. I ended up having to call my insurance and ask for them to change my provider after Dr. Farahmand's office attempted to charge me in full for services that my insurance confirmed were fully covered under my plan. They asked me to sign a quote and tried to get me to do the procedure before talking to my insurance provider. I spoke to my insurance who called their office and confirmed that the procedure was one that they covered, but then they tried to switch up the materials used in the procedure to ones that I would have to pay for. I'm guessing they make more money from direct billing than they do from insurance. After those sketchy tactics, I don't trust them with any of my dental care. read more

I was very pleased with the former hygienist, Sarah, who unfortunately moved away about a year ago. She was very professional, did thorough, excellent work, and also took safety precautions by giving me safety glasses to wear, and wearing safety apparel for herself. I felt like I was coming to visit a friend when she was there. The new hygienist, unfortunately is not so thorough or safety conscious. During the last two visits, there were flying air-born particles from the cleaning and polishing, and no safety glasses were offered, so I closed my eyes The cleaning was quick, but I didn't feel it was thorough. She never said, "Let me know if I touch a sensitive area and I'll be careful in that spot." Instead, she seemed annoyed when I jerked back from a sensitive area. She stuck my gum with her sharp instrument, I jerked my head back, and she said, "Be careful, I'm holding a sharp instrument." No kidding! It has been at least over a year since Dr. Farahmand has entered the room to even look at my teeth. read more

They charged me $50 petty people cheap and do not recommend. Dr Farahmand is my favorite dentist, ever! I've been his patient for over four years and so has my husband. Dr. Farahmand has always been patient and kind, and he listens to our concerns. This is definitely NOT a "mill" as he is the sole practitioner. (Yay!!) We feel lucky to have found him! In addition, Cindy, the office manager is always personable and friendly; Sarah, the technician is super competent and super nice; and I just met Gloria today while getting two fillings and impressions for a new night guard. My husband and I have been seeing Dr Farahmond since he started his Arcadia practice about 6 years ago. He and his staff are always friendly and professional. Sara is a fantastic hygienist! Very professional and knowledgeable. All 3 of our teenagers are patients as well. They all love coming here! Their previous dentist was very impersonal and it seemed like every time we saw him, he was recommending another expensive "necessary " treatment. Dr. Farahmond is always upfront about the treatment he recommends and always offers options which helps us make informed decisions. My son is special needs and he along with the rest of the family are treated with respect and politeness. They are always able to handle my son's quirky behavior with such kindness. It should be automatic that he is treated with dignity, but that isn't always what we experience at other medical and dental offices. This by far has been the best dentist i have ever been to, especially after having some traumatic experiences with my last dentist. I was very impressed walking into the waiting room. It was very modern and i was greeted right away by a very friendly receptionist named Cindy. She made me feel be very comfortable as it was my first time back at a dental office after not having insurance over two years +. I got my xrays and pictures done with Gloria. She was such a pleasure to talk to and made the experience painless and fun. She listened to my concerns and delivered exceptionally. I also had the pleasure of having such an amazing experience with the dental doctor Mr. Farahmand. He was so thorough and to the point and the most detailed doctor i have ever had. After reviewing the X-rays he let me know i had a few cavities and that he could fix them no problem. I booked my next apt, which was very easy to make and got them all done the same day. He was very quick and made sure everything was precise and perfect. The dental assistant Savannah was also a complete pleasure. They did an amazing job getting my fills done. Dr. Farahmand and his team are excellent. i appreciate the cleanliness of this office, especially during the pandemic. I'm incredibly blessed that I came across this office and feel comfortable in completing treatment. The office is in a very nice location as well and the prices are extremely affordable compared to what I have paid in the past. Patients are screened before entering, similar to hospital protocol, and I haven't overlapped with any patients in the waiting area. The receptionist isn't pleasant, she's rude and talks down to patients. Fees are not consistent, they're over priced. I went in for a filling, as time went on I became more sensitive in that area. Went back to the dentist 3 mths later and the dentist said I may need a root canal. I wasted time and money on a filling, then to find out I need a root canal. My husband went in for a cleaning and comes out with a list of recommendations that would costs alot of money. I've never been afraid to go to the dentist. But was always nervous about coming here.
