Walking into this office was already pleasant due to the nice aroma that filled the waiting room, complete opposite of morning breath. I was greeted politely by Dr. Farahmand, and the receptionist was flossome, she assisted me as soon as she was free. The visit went very well, no sugarcoating, I was asked about my concerns, previous history and what was going to be done today. The doctor went through all his steps, and showed me any potential issues with X-rays. He genuinely wanted to take care of my teeth and oral health. If you're looking for a dentist that makes your smile brighter without raising your blood pressure, this office is cavity-free of stress. I left feeling enamel-level confident. read more

I have not had anything wrong with my teeth, so my review is on the cleaning I receive every 6 months. Shirin, the dental hygienist, has cleaned my teeth two times now. She is precise, agile and smooth in her service. My gums do not hurt after the procedure and of course my teeth feel super clean. Dr. Farahmand, who is friendly and mild mannered, then examines my teeth thoroughly and gives me the evaluation of my teeth. I haven't been to the dentist in almost 5 years, so I was pretty anxious about this visit. I drove all the way from Fullerton, only because a friend (whose opinion I highly trust) recommended this place to me, and I will go out of my way to make sure I have a good experience when it comes to health care. I knew before hand that the office manager had been out, so I expected some delays during my appointment. It was evident that the manager's role was being filled by everyone else in the office, but I think they all did an excellent job at making people feel welcome and taken care of. I got a full set of x-rays as the dental assistant, Laarnie (sp?) suggested, since it had been a while. Dr. Farahmand sat with me after to discuss the x-rays. Connected to the patient's seat, there's a monitor displayed where you can see what parts of the x-rays the doctor is referring to as he gives you a breakdown of what's going on with your dental health. He said he could tell I hadn't been to the dentist in a while based on what he saw, and I cringed. "It's bad, isn't it?" I asked. And his response was pleasantly surprising. He mentioned how he didn't like to see things as "bad" or "good" but rather as areas of opportunity to provide me with ways we could move forward and make progress. I love a good reframe! Words are spells and hearing this helped shift my perspective immediately. He broke down step by step what the issues were and gave me a great analogy to work with: He explained that my teeth were my home and my gums and bones were the environment my home was in. If I don't have a good foundation, then it can cause the home problems. (This isn't verbatim but I think I'm pretty close to the point he was trying to get across). Essentially, he was saying that before we can get to my actual teeth, we needed to tend to my gums first. I love when doctors, or anyone who practices an area of expertise, isn't only good at their actual specialty, but is also able to practice and apply soft skills, such as being personable and making their client's feel seen and safe in their hands. It really elevates the entire experience as a whole, and Dr. Dr. Farahmand did just that. He laid out next steps clearly and I appreciated his high level of communication throughout my entire time there. A lot of work needs to be done and I still have to wait for the office manager to give me a call to specify details, but based on this first experience, I definitely hope to be back soon so that I can get my dental health back to where it needs to be. Thank you to the entire staff for being so kind and intentional. It's clear that you all care about your job and it foes a long way, especially because going to the dentist is such a vulnerable experience! 10/10 recommend this place. Would rate this office -0 for office staff: Called in the morning and spoke with someone name Kristen and was supposed to call me back for insurance verification. Waited hours no call back so I called another number and this female staff answered(didn't get her name), she was super RUDE and LOUD and with angry tone. Talked over me and didn't let me talk. Horrible Entrance Experience! I went there today for my first appointment. The woman at the reception (I think her name is Celine or Cindy or something similar..) was so unpleasant, arrogant and disrespectful that made me feel sick to my stomach. I decided to just leave. Funny, she wanted to charge me for that session! I am not a hyper sensitive person and I understand not everyone has manners. HOWEVER, the question is, what kind of a dentist will let their receptionist treat their visitors so poorly, and create such an unpleasant entrance atmosphere? She was obviously so rude, because she knew she could behave as she pleased and still get away with it. Only a DENTIST who DOES NOT CARE about his patients will allow this kind of behavior in their office. Wouldn't put my trust in them - rightfully and wisely. -------------------------------------------- Just a few additional points in response to dr. Farahmand's anxious response who also feels entitled to have a rude receptionist whatsoever, and, rather interestingly, puts the blame on the patient's behavior - Firstly, I see you're trying to justify your receptionist's rude behavior because a new patient (me) requested calmly, respectfully and smoothly to see the doctor for a few seconds prior filling up the forms, and that was all. Again, I did not REFUSE to fill up any forms, I just requested to see the dentist (you) prior becoming a formal patient (signed paperwork). That was quite reasonable. The receptionist RUDELY and DISRESPECTFULLY denied my request and then (again rudely) said: You have a good day! In spite of that and since I had attended my appointment right in time, I sat and waited in your office for 10 more minutes hoping that I might see the dentist (you), by chance, in case you walked out. But then I had no indication of WHEN/IF the dentist might show up, so I reluctantly left. The whole sequence of events was nothing but disappointing. I am inherently calm, collected and smooth. In contrary to what you indicated, I played no role, nor did I trigger the receptionist's disrespectful behavior. She seemed to be poorly mannered by default. Additionally, I am sorry to include that I am detecting some kind of anxiety through your poorly composed response which further confirms you would have been an untrustworthy choice of a dentist. Btw, my type of insurance is the type of insurance you decided to accept for certain reasons in spite of that 20 years of reputation and experience of yours. We know that, so be humble. I wasted my time here. Dr Farahmand definitely did not want to help me with cavities that a pervious dentist told me I have before I had dental insurance. He noted "everything is cosmetic" all the brown spot I have are nothing serious. He did mention one tooth cavity was spreading and still said "keep flossing and brush teeth" so it won't spread.. It was an absolute waste of my time. I had to take time off work just to be rejected because I had dental insurance. I can absolutely tell you that if I walked in with no insurance he definitely would have noted everything my previous dentist examined and would recommend a lot of work would need to be done. But because he wanted to be lazy and not take my insurance is BS. I would not recommend this dentist. Waste of time...! read more

It has taken me years to find a dentist that makes going to the dentist an "easy" task (to put it simply - going to the dentist can be traumatic as heck). All of the staff at Dr. Farahmand's office are welcoming, helpful and all around amazing a from the receptionist, hygienist, and the Dr. himself. During COVID, a health screening questionnaire and temperature check are required before you're allowed into the office. The office is clean and has updated equipment. I've had teeth cleanings and a cavity filled, and all procedures were painless. I'm glad this office is near my work, since I moved away from the West Hollywood location. I'm a new patient of Dr. Farahamand's, and have had two visits. They provided a quick but thorough teeth cleaning, and had me fitted for a very overdue nightguard due to teeth grinding. I felt as though Dr. Farahmand was especially careful to only recommend the nightguard to allow me to make a decision myself as to whether or not I wanted to purchase one - but I knew I needed it! (A previous dentist had never followed through in helping me get one.) The office was beautiful and centrally located, and the staff were incredibly polite and helpful in setting up new appointments. I decided to assign Dr. F as my dentist for my HMO dental plan - I am glad that I decided to do so based on referrals of old friends. His office is professional, friendly, and extremely clean. The staff - Cindy, savannah, Gloria, and Dr. F we're all very friendly and thorough. I say thorough because they make sure to take images of your teeth via xrays and actual pictures. tl;dr Kind and competent, what more can you ask for? My first appt with Dr. Farahmand was in September 2020. I would not have gone, due to covid, but I had tooth pain. The office was extremely on top of covid precautions which put me at ease. I felt confident with Dr. F.'s exam and decision to refer me out for the pain. Both very good dentists and I didn't feel either pushing treatment on me. I knew I needed a cleaning but was still uptight about covid. I finally returned last month for my first cleaning in over 2 years (ay yi yi!). The hygienist Sarah was obviously very conscientious but also friendly and warm. I had a couple questions that she answered thoroughly. I'm old and my lower front teeth have started to wander; she spoke to me about bone density and gave me a couple options. (I saw my physician a couple weeks later and got a referral for a bone density test, which I wouldn't have thought of without Sarah's input. Score!) Dr. F. took a look at my teeth and the 3 of us agreed a retainer would be a good solution for keeping my teeth in place. I will be returning to have a mold made. I am very pleased with the team in this office, including Cindy, and would not hesitate to refer anyone here. read more

Let us set aside the obvious that a lot of people probably do not like going to the dentist. For me, I abhor it, and it is worse having to shop around after an insurance change. After long research, I decided to take my chances here. Customer service is amazing when setting up appointments, being greeted, leaving. Amazing. The expectations come with after the x-rays. The sales pitch that happens at other places, but is absent here. No pressure whatsoever about what to do next for your teeth.Thank goodness. On top of that, the cleaning felt good. On top of top of that: This is probably the least amount of time I ever spent at a dentist; checking-in, x-rays, cleaning, the whole shebang. ***Update*** I feel it's necessary to respond to the outright fabrications stated by Dr Omid in his reply below. This office has lost our business. Cindy the manager and receptionist is extremely rude, belligerent, unkind, unpleasant and has the most disgusting attitude I've ever encountered. The three times I have encountered her have been unpleasant and my wife's experience was the icing on the cake. She was referred to another office for a root canal and while there attempted to get the pertaining documents to the exam Doctor Omids office performed. This was a scheduled visit and a non emergency. Cindy lashed out telling my wife to give the documents herself. How could she? These are digital documents. We can not just change a date. We don't work at that office. The exchange was so nasty that it brought my wife to tears in front of the workers at the office she was at. Unfortunately my wife needed to come back in order to schedule her follow up. My wife being forgiving and always open to give another chance was again attacked by Cindy. Cindy told us to call back in 7-10 days since the system was down and when my wife asked why the system would be down so long Cindy blew up. We attempted to call the north Hollywood office and to our great surprise, Cindy is also the receptionist. She hung up on me right away. Absolutely unprofessional. Doctor Omids office is in the business of helping people and serving people not the other way around. If Cindy is the face of this company then we will make sure to let our family and friends from the Arcadia area make sure to stay away. I would never put something so delicate as my family's health in the hands of someone so nasty. Not only was Cindy extremely belligerent but when we said we'd leave a bad review she laughed it off and said go for it. To make matters worse Dr. Omid requested a call from us to clear the air of the incident and shockingly took her side and told us we were just misunderstanding the info Cindy was trying to relay. He stated on the phone and in the reply below that he did not want to get into what was said because he was not present except he seems to have a lot of info of what was said and has painted a picture of us being the one at fault for this altercation. But there was no he said she said. She was just blatantly belligerent. I would never want my health or money in the hands of a office so careless about the people they are supposed to care for. My wife had two root canals done and now we have to find another office to do the fillings. Dr. Omid did say we could come back but that would be extremely uncomfortable being as Cindy is the first and last person you deal with there. And Dr Omid is the one performing work on you. Additionally this office inflates the amount of work that needs to be done. My family has good oral health yet we were told at an earlier visit we needed 8k in work and almost all previous work done by our previous dentist needed to be redone. These were at two different appointments totaling 16k in work. I was able to look past that red flag but this last visit has made our decision. What is apparent is that Dr. Omid nurtures bad behavior and bad customer service within his office. He states that his 20 years experience and 5 star reviews are a testament to his quality of work. But if you look at every one star and complaint on Google and Yelp you will see that the complaints of Cindy's behavior, price inflating and bad service has been going on for years now with no change except excuses and accusations that it's the patients faults for having those experiences. I would highly recommend finding another dentist. This office does not seem to have any regard for patient care or well being. read more

Good cost. Got a crown done here. The staff is atrentive and will help schedule you in. Missing appointments isnt smart becauae it costs 100$ or 200$. I'm guessing it's to keep patients from cancelling last minute. First day I came in Cindy the front desk lady helped with the scheduling and the pricing. The crown costed me 1200$ after insurance and the subsequent cavity fillings were 220$ or 225$. I'm going in for teeth cleaning after the cavity fillings. They dont do metal filling here but the white fillings. Dr. Faramound is a good dentist. He complied with my request for local to settle in before starting the procedure to prevent more pain and thoroughly numbing the region. The dental hygenist or assist, Gloria was very helpful and knowledgeable. I do have some crown pain from sensitivey but I am going back today for why I am feeling pain. Earlier this summer I finally decided to make the leap and begin the process of veneers for three front teeth I was always self conscience about.
