I am sharing my wife's experience with G-Smile in Monrovia and specifically with Dr. Neda Ghofranian. The first time my wife sought help was in April 2024 because she was experiencing gum pain caused by a lost filling. The main reason we chose this clinic was the severe pain she was in and the need for quick service close to home. During her first visit, Dr. Neda Ghofranian, relying on her medical expertise, told her that she would need an MRI scan before starting any treatment. The scan cost $400, and the doctor said she wouldn't proceed until it was done. When my wife asked for an explanation, Dr. Ghofranian stated that the scan was necessary to check for cracks in the roots of the teeth - something that she admitted was extremely rare. Still, the scan was mandatory before she could do any work. Additionally, during that visit, Dr. Ghofranian refused to treat the other lost fillings, she would only address one filling and not touch the rest, recommending crowns instead. As a result, my wife left the clinic with several untreated areas and large dents at the base of her teeth. My wife felt as she was being treated as a "non-profitable" patient, with the clinic more interested in charging $400 for one MRI machine scan run and upselling on procedures, than providing proper care. With no other choice, my we agreed to the scan and eventually received treatment, but she continued to experience gum discomfort afterward. A few months later, another filling came loose, and she called the clinic again for help. She specifically asked for a simple replacement, but Dr. Ghofranian insisted that this wasn't possible and said they would only proceed if she agreed to a crown. My wife refused, as she didn't want another crown, especially since a less invasive solution was clearly an option. Her goal was to preserve her natural teeth. This forced her to seek help at another clinic farther from home, where they replaced the filling without any issues or unnecessary demands. To make matters worse, we later received a letter from our insurance stating that G-Smile had submitted a request for a crown. This was strange since my wife never agreed to or requested one in the first place. Most recently, my wife lost yet another filling and called G-Smile once again. This time, without even asking for details about her problem, the clinic outright refused to provide service. Dr. Neda Ghofranian through her office secretary kindly denied my wife an appointment to check up the work she has performed previously, and the inflammation still remains. They told her to go back to the other clinic where she had her last filling done because they "didn't want to mix up the paperwork." It seems their focus is entirely on crowns and expensive procedures. It's clear to me that G-Smile prioritizes profit and paperwork over patient care. My wife's experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone. They treat patients as sources of income, not as people in need of help. If you want to expose yourself to unnecessary scanner radiation while paying for it, and receive treatment that will only speed up the destruction of your natural teeth, they'll make up for it by letting you watch Netflix on the ceiling. read more

This review is long overdue. I started coming here as a result of bad dental care from another dentist. So far, Dr. Neda has been able to run interference with some of the bad work that was done. I am so grateful for this. She does not push dental care that you do not need, and in fact, she tries her best to spare you from unnecessary procedures. I could not ask for better dentists. I have had the pleasure of having both Dr. Neda, and Dr. Haig work on my mouth. (I know, few people can say going to the dentist is a pleasure haha) They were both very professional, calm, patient, and caring. I started to come to this place during the pandemic, got my four wisdom teeth removed and the cavity fixed. Dr. Neda and Dr. Haig are very efficient and professional, I only felt a little bit of pain and got recovered in a week. Got my cap done here which I appreciated but my bite was off for weeks. The staff are so rude and doctors dismissive I didn't feel I could say anything. The doctors don't care about you and have horrible bedside manner. Make sure you cancel in advance I did see a notice that they will charge you if you don't. Once they weren't taking my type of insurance anymore they didn't even notify they weren't and just dropped me as a patient. Gave no recommendations for other dentists to take over my care. I started coming here recently and I'm blown away by the level of care and the new technology. Dr. Neda fixed some issues I have had for a long time, which every other dentist in my mouth didn't seem to realize was there. After a good cleaning which is always a great way to recommit to your dental health care, she also did a bite analysis of my teeth to find out why I was having certain issues. Turns out that some of my fillings were just WRONG, and they were affecting my bite. She uses high tech equipment which takes the guess work out of fixing issues. She can zero in on exactly what is going on with your teeth. She also blows your teeth up on a huge monitor (warning, this will not be nice. Our teeth look horrible blown up 100x!) and can clearly identify what's going on as a whole. Anyway, she did some alterations to my fillings and OMG, it's like I have a new mouth! I have less tension/stress, my mouth feels balanced and light and even! I never knew how much I was clenching my jaw BECAUSE of this poorly sculpted filling issue. And this has been going on FOR YEARS for me. My jaw has been relaxed since my visit. It's almost as though for years I was clenching my jaw in order to find relief. Like my body was pointing to something that was not right, and now that it's been resolved, no clenching. I'm being totally serious here. I thought I clenched my jaw because I'm always stressed out, NOPE, it's because my dental situation was bad. WOW! Where has G-Smile been all my life. Now I want them to fix all the fillings and bad dental work that I had done previously. I feel like I am in good, qualified hands! As for the bad reviews of the office staff? I have no idea what they are talking about. I never have to wait, the staff is super friendly, full of smiles. I can hear them when I'm there, and they are all happy and light, like they like their jobs. So, I don't know if other reviewers were having bad days, but my experience has always been great. What I experienced on 06/23/2023. I had made an appointment for dental cleaning and with a verbal agreement with Dr. Haig to do dental caps at another time. I went in and the receptionist had me down for both cleaning and cap change. I said no, I am here for cleaning only. She argued with me that I had signed for both. I told her that I would schedule the cap change another day but she kept arguing with me YOU SIGNED..... Now that I had questioned the procedure to be done, my dental cleaning was rushed so fast, even the dental hygienist was told to hurry. I felt very dizzy after the dental cleaning and I told the hygienist that I was dizzy. I was instructed to stay in the chair for a while and then go back to the front reception room. There was no assiistance given to me until I reached the reception area and there my husband held me. While I was being held by my husband, a woman we had never met or been introduced to, immediately verbally began to attacked us. Guess Who, this was Dr. Neda saying to us, "Never question the front office personnel while she was waving signed paperwork in front of my face. According to Dr. Neda, they are ALWAYS RIGHT and we are ALWAYS WRONG. I WENT HOME IN TEARS. These guys are super friendly. Everyone from reception to the Dentists. Everything was explained and clear. The reception area is airy and has various beverages for you to have. The back area is spacious and the chair I had had a tv screen above, with sound, so you can watch something whilst they are looking at your teeth. There is also a large computer screen where they can bring up your X-rays/pictures and show you what's going on. The recommendations they give are clear and the bill and treatment plans are all broken down and clear. I can't praise them enough! read more
