I was originally turned down by one of those online teledentistry companies that I saw an ad for on Instagram. The polite rejection basically translated to "Your teeth are too messed up for our basic remote treatment, so seek out an actual orthodontist." [Waaahhh-- insert crying face emoji here!] After getting a consultation with Dr. Lee, I understood why. I had a lot of overcrowding that needed physical treatment, such as teeth slimming which obviously cannot be handled by a company that just sends you twenty trays, waves you a proverbial goodbye and expects to handle the rest of your treatment on your own. Kinda scary, especially for the cost they're charging you. If you choose to extend your treatment because you're unsatisfied with the results, these companies charge an additional $200+ every time you want to another round of trays. If anything goes wrong, there is no doctor for you to talk to, even for simple questions regarding any discomfort. Getting turned away was a blessing. Anytime I have a concern, I never feel rushed. My questions are thoroughly addressed and I understand everything that is happening with my teeth. Dr. Lee is not the extreme, upselling type. I've never had a dentist that wouldn't guarantee their work and crown for more than a year. They would also replace any damaged one provided it wasn't due to negligence free of charge but not this place. My current dentist was able to replace the cracked crown with a zirconia one as a cash patient for less than what these folks offered. Let me start by saying the doctors and most of the staff here are friendly and professional except for one person: Maria, the one who handles treatment plan quotes. Please make sure you fully understand your consultation with the doctor before speaking with her, because she will try to upsell you and quote you incorrectly. She does not listen, nor does she try to understand what the doctor actually recommended. She bases all her pricing on her own assumptions and the pre consultation notes, even when the treatment plan clearly changes after speaking with the doctor. When I asked her why the pricing was a certain way, she wouldn't answer the actual question and just kept repeating her version. I eventually had to ask her to bring the doctor in so she could understand the real treatment plan. Only then was she able to quote us correctly. There were even additional treatment options the doctor mentioned, but she never acknowledged them until she explained it herself. It's disappointing because the doctors here are great, but every interaction with Maria has been frustrating, dismissive, and inaccurate. I hope management addresses this, because patients deserve proper communication and correct information, not pressure, upselling, or assumptions.
