This guy blew me away. He met me in the hallway, asked me how I needed help, and then proceeded to fix all of my problems within about 35 minutes. I had a broken filling, and a crown that came out. He fixed the filling and reattached the crown And was very kind, funny, and his staff was excellent and will trade my highest compliments to this gentleman for running a wonderful practice. read more

Senior citizen reporting: OK had a major toothaches, needed emergency care, I went on Nextdoor and Yelp, Dr. CHALLITA was recommended by Nextdoor and five stars on Yelp! Street parking only! OMG! HE IS A ROCKSTAR! Modern equipment! He has a quiet professional demeanor that calm down my inner nervous Chihuahua. I have major gag reflex! Like Obi-Wan Kenobi he did a trick with salt on the roof of my mouth and a very interesting looking x-ray wand. I didn't gag and it was over before I realized it! They didn't have to look in my chart to see I was petrified, and right away they made me feel at ease. The dental hygienist, Desiree I believe, and Dr. Challita work together like a well oiled machine. They are great at making you feel at comfortable, calming your nerves, and are very gentle. I truly appreciated them for their approach. I went in for my first appointment, had full set of xrays done, and left with a root canal. You heard that right. A root canal. They took care of business, telling me just enough to not have me jump out of my seat. I thought I was simply going to get a consult, xrays, and maybe a peek in my mouth.... and here I am doing a Yelp review. I was in and out of there in 1.5hours, which included a long series of xrays. His work is exceptional. I am so very appreciative, I hope I am doing right by his business by giving him 5 stars +++. I am actually looking forward to my next visit ... said ME NEVER in the past. First and foremost, this office is taking all the necessary COVID-19 guidelines to insure a clean environment for every single patient. Prior to my visit : I had two clients that are Challita's patients and I would bring them in for their appointments. As a home health aid and not a patient, Just coming in and bringing them I noticed how clean,kind and respectful everyone in this office was and still is. Challita treated my clients kindly and told them straight forward what needed to be done step by step. Early in 2020 I began to have a toothache that I ignored too long and had to make an appointment ASAP. Being one of those people who have avoided the dentist and haven't seen one since my teenage years, I was not looking forward to seeing my childhood dentist and right away thought of Challita. I was thrilled to know that they his office takes my insurance. I wasn't thrilled to find out I needed a root canal and quite a list of things that are cringe worthy. Any nerves that I may have had went away as Challita and his staff assured me that it is an improved way of doing root canals and described the process and answered all of my questions. He was gentle and prompt on asking me if I was ok through the procedure and it was done in about an hour tops. I came in for some follow ups and have not been disappointed at all. I honestly can say I had a root canal and it was not that horrible experience some people have heard of and are afraid of. I'd received an estimate from another dentist who claimed I needed tons of work that my insurance wouldn't be able to cover completely. Dr. Challita took one look at my x-rays and, to my surprise and relief, said none of that was true. Just recently I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled and it was a MUCH better experience than I ever imagined! I've been seeing Dr. Challiita for most of my life. He is very gentle and thorough. He pulled my wisdom teeth out (he can't put you down so I was awake) and he called me for the 3 or 4 days after, to check in and make sure I was ok. When I also had trouble a couple of weeks later (wisdom teeth related) he took me in twice without charge. The dental hygenists he has working there are also amazing. My past dentist seemed to always wanted to 'up sell' a cosmetic procedure and seem to be more about how many patients they could see in a day, not Dr. Challita. To start with, he does not work out of a medical office building, but in what looks like a converted house. Which automatically made me relax for some reason. I have been having a major toothache, like I've never had before. Even though I was a brand new patient, Julie at the front desk squeezed me in the afternoon I called, and Dr. Challita saw me right away. He tapped and poked around in there, took an x-ray, and then told me the pain was most likely coming from my sinuses as I've had a bad cold for the past 3 weeks. Whew, another dentist could have given me a big song and dance routine about cavities or decay etc and charged me a for a complicated procedure. Not Dr. Chaillita - just showed me the x-rays, explained everything to me, and sent me on my way for wishes for good health. I ended up deciding to make an appointment for a cleaning and an exam, and having my records from my previous dentist mailed to him. He was friendly and warm, and I enjoyed talking with him about our kids. The office was super clean and, though not exceptionally high tech, it seemed absolutely sufficient. My family and I have been coming to Dr. Challita for years now. My insurance does not cover my visits to him but, I dont mind paying out of pocket. I have a history of receding gums and Dr. Challita said he would do grafting for each side of my gums. I went to a Periodontist who quoted me $1,300 per tooth!!! I went back to Dr. Challita to do the grafting surgery and I couldnt be happier. He even went out of his way to call me the next day to see how I was feeling. I highly recommend him for dental cleaning, x-rays and grafting if you have receding gums. You feel like a real person and he really cares about his work. Dr. Challita is the finest dentist I have ever had and I'm almost 60! His staff are warm and helpful but nothing compares, however, to the care and professionalism of Dr. Challita. He takes the time to explain, answer questions and ensures you are comfortable throughout a procedure.
