I received 5 bids to remove an old retaining wall, haul away concrete blocks and debris, build 2 new retaining walls with French drains, and grade the entire area. After reviewing the bids, checking licenses and reading reviews on each contractor, Omega Pavers won the bid. The crew of 3 (sometimes 4) showed up at 7:30 sharp each day and worked in the hot summer sun 8 hours each day for 8 days. Their attention to detail was exceptional. It was obvious to me that they take great pride in their work. Our project came out beautiful. I will definitely hire Omega Pavers for a future project. read more

5 stars isn't enough for the work that Jason and his crew did. We absolutely love our new backyard! It's exactly what we envisioned and in a lot of ways even better. The attention to detail and expertise that came with making our vision functional and long lasting was exceptional. Everything from communication to scheduling and execution were above and beyond. Omega met our budget without any haggling or surprise costs at the end and completed the project ahead of schedule. I can't recommend these guys enough. Top notch through and through. read more

The team at Omega Pavers is amazing! Jason and his crew know what they are doing: from design, ideas, and trouble-shooting, all the way through execution and completion, they are all superstars! We are so impressed with their time, talents, and skills. They are professional from the first meeting--on-time and showing up when they say they will! We used them last year to renovate our front yard, and they have just completed our backyard remodel, just in time for summer in San Diego! Thank you! read more

Jason and his team helped us with our backyard a few months ago and we are so pleased with the results! Jason came in to chat with us, check out our space and talk to us about what options we had. When we had decided what we wanted done, materials, agreed on a fair price, etc., Jason and his team were able to start quite soon after (I believe just a week later). It was done in record time and he came to check in every morning to see how work was progressing. The two main men working on the yard did a fantastic job and were very careful and respectful. There were so many little things the team did which highlighted how professional they were, and that they knew what they were doing. The yard turned out so nicely and we feel lucky we were able to find Omega Pavers!! If you're between who to go with, you must choose Omega Pavers :) read more

Jason and his crew, supervised by Clayton, were outstanding! Jason provided a fair bid, answered all of our questions, provided guidance in product selection (cap stone, brick, rock etc..), and general design layout. His team installed brick overlay to our porch and steps as well as a stucco wall, turf, irrigation, lighting and plants. The job was done quickly and his very hard working guys were present every day until the job was done. They were beyond meticulous with every detail, even making our once semi-crooked porch and steps perfectly square as they crafted the bricks. We couldn't be happier and are getting rave reviews from the neighbors. I highly recommend Jason and Omega Pavers! read more

Jason and team did a phenomenal job installing pavers in one of our side alleys. Jason was extremely professional in explaining the work that will be done and answered all our questions with attention to details. Highly recommend! read more

Jason and his crew at Omega Pavers deserve way more than 5 stars. They installed pavers, a retaining wall, and lighting in our backyard, and the result is stunning! Several people have told us that our backyard now looks like a resort. We could not be happier! These guys are total professionals. They know exactly what they are doing, they are highly skilled, they pay close attention to detail, and they truly care about the quality of their work. The slope of the pavers is so gentle as to be imperceptible and yet the water drains perfectly. Lines are straight. Joints are tight. Cuts are meticulous. So many people have commented to us on the craftsmanship of Omega's work and the beauty of what they produced. Before we hired him, Jason came to our house multiple times to help us convert our vague ideas into an actual design, offering lots of helpful suggestions and advice, but without pressuring us in any way to hire him or to choose any particular alternative. Once the work began, Jason and/or Clayton (his foreman) were on-site every day. They answered text messages promptly. They checked-in with us regularly to make sure that everything was looking exactly like we wanted it to look. The job started and ended as scheduled. The final bill matched the estimate. No surprises. Everything went exactly as they said it would. Finally, Jason and Clayton are both just really nice guys. They have a very cheerful, positive, can-do attitude about everything. They were always happy to do whatever was necessary to make sure that the final result was perfect. These are honest, reliable, skilled professionals who do amazing work and who are a total pleasure to work with. We feel very fortunate that a friend recommended Omega Pavers to us and we have highly recommended them to our friends. If you want pavers in your yard, do yourself a favor and hire Omega! read more

Jason and company gave us the best quote among companies that had been in business for many years. They have all the licenses, worker's comp. etc. Jason has his own people work on the project, no subcontractors. The work was neatly done in a timely basis and an add-on was incorporated seamlessly. All work was done in a timely manner (all his own people, no waiting for subcontractors). They cleaned up meticulously. Highly recommended. read more

I wish I could give 100 stars honestly and not sure how to put into words how happy we are with our backyard now. From start to finish we had such a great experience. I initially called Jason after getting an insane quote from a competitor and man am I glad that I did. Jason's quote was spot on with our budget and he wasn't "salesy" trying to make me hurry to commit. Of course I did tell him we were on board right away. He communicated with me frequently to let me know the status on getting it started. They arrived early everyday while knocking the job out and cleaned up at the end of each day which I'm sure my HOA was grateful for. The images speak for themselves honestly. We are so happy that we contacted Omega Pavers and Jason. He and his team are the definition of quality work, professionalism, and heart! Call them now! read more

So I am retired after working in the construction industry for 35 years. I developed a set of hand drawn plans, 4 sheets with notes and a comprehensive bid schedule, all of which gave all bidders a comprehensive and uniform scope of work to bid. This allowed me to analyze bids on an apples to apples basis. So I obtained bids from 3 contractors after seeking bids from more. In selecting the successful bidder, first I went to the California Contractors Board to make sure each bidder's contracting license was current and they had Workman's Comp, General Liability, and were bonded. I then interviewed each bidder looking to see what their company make up was. Do they have employees performing the work? Are they subcontracting any of the work out? Do they own their own equipment? What was their proposed duration for project construction and what resources they will commit to the project? I review the bid documents in detail with each bidder prior to bid to make sure they capture the entire scope of work. I then review each bid again with the bidder to ensure they have captured the entire scope of work in their bid. Once satisfied with that I know whether I have a legitimate bid. I require the successful bidder to provide an additional insured certificate for general liability and a Work Comp certificate. So there are plenty of contractors out there where this type of process turns up RED flags which help you eliminate bidders. So now cutting to the chase, Omega Pavers, owned by Jason Smith, meets all of the conditions of being what I call a "real" contractor. He conducts his business as one should, has employees, owns his own equipment, and conducts his business as required by law. I also visited 3 projects he completed recently and his references gave him rave reviews. Jason is straight forward, honest, and easy to work with. He cares about his clients and the work he performs. He and his right-hand Clayton are also excellent communicators. You call, e-mail, or text and they respond in a timely manner. I signed an agreement with Omega Pavers and he didn't even ask for a deposit until Day 1 of construction which is rare in these times. Too many contractors get in your pocket early and play the rob Peter to Pay Paul syndrome. As to the quality of their work few contractors will match it. Their attention to detail is outstanding! Jason gave me a 2 week time frame and told me what resources he would commit to the project and he committed those resources to complete the work on time as promised and we could not be happier with the work! Just plain excellent! So, if you are contemplating a paver with or without landscaping, Omega Pavers should be your first contact! read more

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I am absolutely thrilled with their work. Their diligence in doing a fantastic job even thru the recent heatwave. Their artistic abilities. They brought up a few items- to get additional detail work. Who does that ? Someone with pride in their work. They were responsive to my questions...even answering texts in the evening...which they could have easily waited till morning. The workmanship is detailed and decidedly gorgeous. The pavers look fantastic. I hope someday to do my driveway (homeowners won't let us. When I do, after Association approval, my first call will be to Jason. Again, can I give 10 stars? read more

We hired Omega to install our backyard in 2019. They did an amazingly good job. Jason took care of all the permits and inspections for the gas and electric. He installed the drainage correctly. He sank the irrigation controls below ground which really, really helped in our little yard. We had Omega come back for phase 2 in 2020 and install a pergola and pave the front of the house. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. It looks so nice. Man it helps. Next year, we have more improvements in mind. We plan to bring Omega back for that work. We would be nuts not to. Highly recommend. On time. On budget. Top quality materials and workmanship. We are more than glad to be a reference. read more

Came to Omega Pavers to salvage a project butchered by a 'low price' installer. Jason and Clayton handled it spectacularly! Not only were they able to come out on short notice, but their truly experienced installers arrived on time, were cordial, worked fast and furious all day, and got the job done in one day. These guys made it happen! The job was done right, looks great, and I experienced nothing but excellent customer service. His workers worked on Saturday so that we could get the job finished. When I arrived home, my expectations were surpassed. It looks amazing, done in short order, and was a fair with the price. Amazing work by Jason and his crew! We are totally thrilled with our backyard. They paid close attention to detail, which I totally appreciated. They installed new drainage (old was clogged) and made sure to angle the pavers every so slightly to have the proper run off. If a paver had a blemish, they would replace it with a new one. They had great suggestions on lining the border of the yard with a darker paver to give some contrast. They had great suggestions on the caps were were looking at. They installed lighting as well which really gives the yard a nice ambiance at night. Their crew worked diligently from 7:30am till 4:30pm every day. There was no slacking on the job and they were respectful, curteous and non smokers. They left the work area tidy at the end of each day and completed the job right on time. They finished the yard with a sealer to make everything look shiny and new! read more

Work is very detailed and thorough. The prep was the majority of effort so it makes sense the final job was so good. I was concerned at one point that the time it was taking was going to make things run into the weekend. Jason addressed that by sending extra guys to get things done on time. We had been delayed by the delivery of the pavers. I appreciate he took a difficult situation and resolved it perfectly. I think these guys are very easy to deal with. His workers are nice men. I used Jason's company for the first time 10 years ago. I recently wanted to make some changes as well as do some maintenance and minor root damage repair. His service was just as amazing and even more so 10 years later. I'm so glad I found this company. His crew was great! Our pavers were a reasonable investment and required zero maintenance for 10 years. The only reason we decided to resand and reseal was because we had them out here anyway. It looks like new :) Jason is amazing to deal with, professional and quick to respond. We have had fantastic results from Jason Smith the owner of Omega Pavers and all of his workers. Several years ago Omega Pavers replaced our patio with pavers. Their workmanship was excellent and the pavers look as good today as when installed. Last year we decided to expand the patio area and also install a sitting wall. Once again Jason, his foreman Clayton and all of his workers did a fantastic job expanding the patio, building the sitting wall and even embedding lights in the wall. It looks like the entire patio was installed at the same time instead of at two different time periods. Last month we again hired Omega Pavers to build a retaining wall in place of a wooden fence/mud barrier. Jason came over and provided an estimate that was competitive compared to the cost of just replacing the fence with a wooden fence. In in 4 days the work was completed by his crew. His crew works hard; properly manages debris during construction, and at the end of construction makes sure that everything is cleaned up. Once again the workmanship is excellent; the retaining wall looks great; its color and texture match the previously constructed sitting wall. It is well constructed, he included a French drain behind it and also included embedded lighting. Its obvious that Jason and all of his workers take pride in what they do. read more

Billy C. and John D. are delusional. Jason IS A MAN OF HIS WORD! Also if Jason only did pavers in Vista he would be out of business in less than a year. Jeez, where do these guys come up with this crap?? I believe they may be his competition and are making crap up because his prices are so reasonable. Its either that or they are whiny little babies. I received bids from six contractors three of which were ludicrous, two of which the contractors were not from the companies I called but instead sub contractors that the company sent out because 2500 square feet was too small for them????? Several of the contractors were arrogant and rude and tried to baffle me with bull shit. The bid from Jason , owner of Omega pavers was quite the opposite! Jason and I came to an agreement , I signed the contract and the work was done exactly as stated in the contract. 2500 square feet of pavers down a sloping driveway. I am very happy with the work done. I am especially happy with the easy dealings with Jason. He was upfront about the cost. No beating around the bush, no hidden fees, no guessing, no bull shit. If I called, he answered and when he couldn't answer he called back within a reasonable time. He was always cheerful, friendly and most importantly Respectful! His crew was the same. They always addressed any of my concerns respectfully and listened with open ears. I'll say it again, Jason is a man of his word! When you are taking bids, get one from Jason and you will see what I mean! Honesty and integrity as well as a good price are what we all want from a contractor! You will get all three from Jason and more! Thank You Omega pavers! Z.N. read more

We have had Omega Pavers do two separate jobs for us. First they did a patio and pond area for our vacation rental. This turned out so well, and lasted so well (it has been a few years since that was done), that we used them to do a larger patio, walkways, and stairs to the street for our own house. They did an excellent job on everything. One stone became loose after a few months, and Jason or one of his workers came and fixed it within a day of my letting them know. They were also patient with our questions as the work took place. Jason also did the design for our patio, including a curving seated area that we love. We would recommend them without question. read more

I'm surprised that Jason has only one review considering how busy and how long he's been in business. He's a young guy, family man but has been around for quite a while I can tell. Local and likes to work local which I can relate to. I was referred to him by All Masonry when looking to have some work done on my new home, but wasn't sure what. Luckily when I was visiting he was there to pick up materials and he took the time to ask me what I thought and we made a meeting time right then for him to come by the house in a few days. When he came by he had books and drew a quick sketch of what I verbally said I wanted. Pavers, Some fake grass and a Firepit- he said easy and I said how much!? He was very reasonable to what my neighbors had paid so I booked him immediately. He had some other jobs in the lineup so I didn't mind waiting a few weeks. Have to say he did a great job and his workers there were very timely and clean all said and done. Thank you for making me and my family home awesome! We will recommend to our neighbors and you should call him too. Stand up family man and honest! read more

This is an honest review on the man himself, Jason. Jason came out to give me a quote on a house I was purchasing. Nice guy and the quote was good. A couple of months later when I was ready to go forward with the work (finally got moved in) I contacted Jason. We had some back and forth communication but often times I would not hear back. I thought this was strange because he would be super responsive and then nothing. After several weeks of reaching out and waiting I ended up going with someone else for my project. I felt put off so I decided to leave a review on Yelp. I originally gave him a poor review for not following through. Jason reached out to me after the review posted. He was very apologetic and mentioned he had some personal issues going on, but ultimately he owned it 100%. I really appreciate that. It says a lot about him. So going forward I would reach out to him again if I needed some work done. I was going to just delete my previous review but thought it would be valuable for people to know what kind of person Jason is, a very respectable guy. Good luck Jason. read more
