Seafood Assortment + a few dim sum options
    Julia V.

Hands-down the best buffet that I've ever been to with premium seafood items, delicious rice and pasta dishes, and all the sauces you could ask for! The price is also not bad at all for the amount of seafood that you're allowed to have. And even the non-seafood items--like the chicken tenders and beef teriyaki--are delicious. The staff is also super courteous and attentive and the aesthetic of the restaurant make you feel like you're in Vegas or somewhere bougie..... 9/10 I can't wait to go back and try more of the sushi items!

This buffet was worth the drive. I think we had tunnel vision when we got there so I can only speak for the sushi. We really enjoyed the rolls we had along with the sashimi. The fish was very fresh and I'm sure we ate our money's worth a few times over. We plan to come back and I'll add my thoughts on the other foods then.

    Sushi and sashimi were good!

Let me preface this review by saying that I would absolutely recommend this buffet if you're just going for all-you-can-eat sushi and sashimi! I know I'm giving this review only 3-stars, but if you're solely interested in sushi and sashimi, for $26, you can eat all the sushi and sashimi you want; that's a good deal! The sushi and sashimi were good. The quality was at the level of any other restaurant that serves Japanese. I can attest that I ate a TON and had zero stomach issues afterwards hahaha Their pricing is as follows: *$14 for lunch during the weekdays (no seafood included) *$26 for dinner every day (seafood served) *$26 all day on weekends (seafood served) The restaurant was pretty empty for a Saturday afternoon. However, I went on lunar new year. Maybe it wasn't crowded because everyone was with their families at home? It's a clean, beautiful and spacious restaurant, so it could have seemed emptier than it really was too. I was excited to try the boiled seafood, but I was disappointed. Everything was bland and overcooked. The crab legs were dried out inside. The boiled shrimp looked flavorful, but it wasn't seasoned well at all. The shrimp disintegrated as you peeled them because they were overcooked. Maybe it sat out too long on the buffet warmers since there were less customers? I hope if I try this place again, it's a different experience. They had the usual buffet items for American and Chinese (ex. pizza, steak, lomein, orange chicken, stir-fried veggies, etc.) as well. They were okay. They weren't good enough to make me want to back for seconds. I really wanted to love this place. We don't have a lot of all-you-can-eat buffets in our area. I hope I just happened to go on an "off" day

This buffet has the best selection of food around! From General Tsao chicken to streamed halibut and sushi, I was impressed. The decor was nice and the food aisles were wide so people weren't bumping into each other. I wish I took more pictures of the selection. We will be back!

I love a good buffet, and Ombu was definitely a winner! The ambiance was lovely, and the decor made it feel like an upscale Vegas restaurant. The food was plentiful, and everything was good that I tried! I liked the mussels the best. I loved that they had crab legs, and don't forget to grab some of that Cajun butter to dip it in. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they made sure that we had everything we needed to pig out. The price was $25 per person, and I feel like that's fair. I would visit again for sure!

$25.99 all you can eat for dinner. You pay first and then head to your table. They have all sorts of food from noodles to chicken to sushi as well as desserts. I genuinely enjoyed everything I had. Only thing I didn't like was the garlic bread because it was hard as a rock. I wish they had a bigger selection of food but good overall. It's very chill and quiet in there. I liked the decorations. Staff were very friendly. I would come back if I'm in the area.

Nice selection of food great service nice location with lots of parking also, next to a food market and a Korean barbecue hot pot off to the left. Inside looks really nice, especially on the right side has some really cool ceiling lights.

I was definitely shocked at the food here. Lots of delicious and flavorful choices. The kids said they enjoyed the seafood here better than fiery crab! I typically don't do buffets because the mediocre food, but this spot definitely did its thing. I hope they keep it up and don't fall off. My only con is the dessert options. There was absolutely NO good dessert options.

Shrimp , sushi and some pork

This place is a solid deal at lunch. It's $17 with tip and there are some good options. The salt & pepper crab and the shrimp were by far and away the best highlights for me. You can tell the cooked seafood was super fresh and they probably go through a lot of that. The sushi is ok. It's not great and it's not terrible. You can tell they definitely reuse some stuff. That wasabi been out there since last week. If they cleaned up the quality a bit it would be a home run. The restaurant is big and clean with tvs and the service was friendly. I'd give it a 3.6

    Panda shaped ice cream

Came here with some friends to check this newly opened buffet. The place looks very nice and clean when I walk in. I asked for a table for 6 and was informed that they charge a 15% tip to our group which was fine with us. I forgot to mention the 10% off promotion they were having and he automatically gave it to my group. The food seems to come out as fast as an empty tray goes low so that's good. I came in with a plan, not to eat anything except the snow crabs , shrimp and crawfish. If I still have room in my stomach I'll eat some sashimi and ice cream. So based on what I ate, I prefer the cold snow crab to the boil one because the cold ones were more meaty. They also have regular full crabs that they boil or stir fry half crabs to choose from. I like the stir fried ones better because it has more flavor. The shrimp boil was a little disappointing. To each their own but I felt it was slightly over cooked but my friends loved it. I'm surprised since I usually don't care too much for buffet crawfish. Their crawfish was plump and delicious with the sauce they boil with. Now let's talk about their dipping sauce. They have either just regular butter, Cajun or garlic butter for your seafood. I tried both the Cajun and garlic separately and I loved both flavors so I mixed them together and it was Fire! I don't know what the ingredients are to make the Cajun sauce but it was so good with all my seafood. I got a few pieces of salmon and tuna sashimi and a piece of eel roll. The salmon was delicious and melts in my mouth but the tuna has an off taste. The eel roll rice was way too much and slightly hard like it had been laying out too long. For dessert, I grab two different kinds and split with a friend. We both agree that the panda shaped ice cream was cute but we both like the blue box ice cream much better. It's square shaped vanilla ice cream. Service was great. The staff were very efficient in grabbing our use dishes. I'll definitely come back but not anytime soon since I'm on a King cake diet...

    Crab legs, shrimp, Cajun butter

My husband and I were so excited to see a new restaurant open up in our area. We decided to stop by on a Sunday for lunch. The place is new so it is very clean. The food ranges from sushi, to orange chicken, dumplings, and crab legs. There is a lot of variety so bring your appetite. The food quality is on par with what you'd expect a buffet to have. The chow mein was mushy, the fried rice had cubed ham, the sushi had a lot of rice, the dessert table was disappointing. But make the best out of it and enjoy the crab legs and shrimp. They had lots of dipping sauces and butter to go along with all the dishes. Also, they charge dinner prices no matter what time you go on the weekend.

I just received a flyer in the mail on the East Bank, but there was no address or phone #. How am I going to find a place if no info is given? I had to google it to find out the address.

They are located on the corner of Ames and Lapalco Blvd.

This weekend I went in to buy live crawfish and asked a couple of questions about size, price etc…read moreas any person would. I was getting tripped up on where they came from because I'm just a girl who loves crawfish and I do boil them myself but this just started recently.. So I'm not knowledgeable of how the sizes differ based on where they come from or how dirty or clean they are because to me it doesn't matter but to them it's what they advertise so in the middle of me trying to grasp this concept of the big ones come from the river and the smaller ones come from the pond or where ever they come from I still don't know because I sensed I was bothering her but maybe the lady was getting a little frustrated going back and forth with me on the wording and trying to explain to me while showing me " with a finger point " or a bin of mixed boiled crawfish saying " the ponds are in the front " but literally they were all mixed.. size were all over. I decided on getting the " rivers " as they call them, for me they were the bigger ones.. lol They all eat mud and they'll all be boiled to death and eaten. For one sack of 33 pound for $2.89 my total was $95 and some change, $104 after tax. I asked if they took tap and the lady said yes and than my total was $108 I asked why it went from 95 to 108 she explained to me that the total was $104 and it was taxes but I can see on the register " 104 " and I said no with taxes its 104, she said they charge credit card fees I said that's illegal, she said, " no it's not everybody does it " I said, " that's don't mean it's legal " she pointed at this white paper on the window that said nothing about credit card fees but said something about the right to give discounts for cash paying customers, and she called a manager.. Mind you I wasn't disrespectful just bothered my total went from 104 to 108 with no sign or warning they charge credit card fees until she mentioned it. But when she said they charge credit card fees I looked for an ATM which they didn't have one. So the manager comes over asks what's the issue I said it's illegal to charge credit card fees he said no it's not the company charges them I said what does that have to do with me.. He said if it's a problem I can leave, so I thanked them and I walked out, not saying another word. As I'm walking out he yells something ignorant and told me don't come back. As if I would have come back to a place that don't value their customers, understand that it's free to ask questions and free to be kind to customers, A business that values their customers would have simply said, "we do have the right to charge you up to 4% ( that's the legal limit on credit card fees " but of course he was just as ignorant as I was at the moment .. or he could have said, do you want the crawfish or not? " I didn't mind paying, I probably would have ended up paying the $4 but it's something about spending my money with people who take advantage of consumers just because they can and sometimes I have time to point out that simply " just because everybody does it doesn't make it right " pray on the ignorant and be mad at the people who know you're doing something you have no business doing is wild! I do know it's legal for businesses to charge credit card fees as long as it's presented to the customer and it's a 4% cap on fees because that's what the people who they have their card machine charge them so we both wrong but I wrote this review to shine the light on the fact they don't care about who buys from them, how you feel about them or how hard you work for your money they gone do business regardless and a lot of times people choose to stay away from businesses who don't value their customers. It's something about middle class white folk that act like they have a problem with being questioned and giving a respectful answer and realizing that everybody is not out to prove them as ignorant or less than, but prove to be just that. I spend $190 at the Westwego seafood at capt. Johnathan's lot on great size crawfish at $2.69 a pound and I paid their credit card fee because they didn't mind answering questions because not everyone knows what you know about the product you sell. The lady was patient with me, even found me something to put my crawfish in so they didn't dirty my car.. it's not about what you do it's about how you do it. " it's just $4 " it's my $4 until I choose that I want something bad enough to trade the $4 for a product or service and credit card fees for a business who don't care about me is not a fair trade. I wasn't greeted when I walked in but I always speak and ask the person how their doing, she answered and didn't dismiss the greeting which is why they get 3 stars, and they didn't seem to be like that when I called over the phone earlier that morning, the man I talked to over the phone gave me the address and pricing and shared they had two kinds and two prices.
