Cute and cozy spot deep in Marrero. Great and friendly service. Large portions with great flavor profiles. Chargrilled oysters were good but slightly overcooked and not enough garlic butter to dip the bread in. Otherwise, great and homey experience.

So I've been here 4 times total and I don't live on the west bank I despise driving over here but for Cafe Bleu yes indeed. 1st. Time I went I ordered to go & there was a to-go fee. I ordered the redfish with the creole blue pasta & let me tell you I was sum upset about that fee cause I didn't leave the parking lot until the whole plate was gone. Jason was my server he did a great job. 2nd. Time I ordered the creole bleu pasta w steak and the gulf of America option it's the last one on the menu you get three crabs and a tester of each oyster they have and their oysters are fabulous Jason was my server again and he did an amazing job 3rd. Time I came I ordered the lamb chops & the potato. I've never had lamb chops before mine were amazing, my boyfriend's chops were a little on the tough and bland side but I think that's because the service outweighed the 4 cooks they had nonetheless the service was excellent to say it was only Miss Nova second day 4th. Time I came here I got the creole bleu pasta with fried salmon, and the bleu burger with onion rings the server I had was all over the place I'm not going to lie maybe she was having a bad day or something but Jason and Nova came and saved the day. I'm thinking about having my graduation party/dinner at Creole Bleu it's a very friendly welcoming diverse environment.

I've never been so disappointed and HUNGRY!! Requested steak medium....it was well done and tough....could've eaten a pork chop if that's what I wanted. But at least the meat was seasoned unlike the bland pasta. I waited to try this place and wanted to love it but it's a no for this foodie. I can't even say I'll try again. It's just food....it was cheap so I guess that's that.

OMG! This place knocks it out of the park! The food is gourmet quality at modest prices. The service was pleasant and caring. Seanique, our server tonight was really outstanding! We had the gumbo, which came without okra, which surprised me. It was mild with lots of sausage. Good but not great. The other appetizer we had was the Creole BBQ Shrimp. The sauce was fabulous and the shrimp fresh and all the parts included. Delicious! My husband had the Creole Blue Pasta which comes with three types of seafood and a slightly spiced sauce. I had the Cajun Creole Pasta on Lafitte. I ordered it with catfish. All came to the table hot. Everything was awesome!! We had a cocktail and left very happy.

Food was amazing! I finished my whole plate . Service is as good as it can be due to high volume of customers. Ambiance is homie if that makes sense. All in all I tip my hat off to the manager great food and was very accommodating due to the wait time I will be back .

Good atmosphere and music. The menu was.. different. In the sense of choices. They have 2 bottomless Mimosa options, regular (oj) for 21.99 flavored for 24.99 but you can only choose one flavor of mimosa or pay for two bottomless options so you can have different flavors.. that's weird but i guess. Mimosas are a good mix of juice and champagne. There's absolutely no substitutions yet everything but the crab cakes come with grits no option for potatoes unless you buy it on the side. For the pricing you don't really get what you want. Food was decent, the fish lamb chop and chicken had almost no flavor if not for the sauces accompanied. The service itself was great everyone was friendly and welcoming. Give them a try and let me know what you think

We were headed from New Orleans to an alligator tour. We decided to pop in here for an early dinner. What a great choice!! We started with bleu seafood fries. They were delicious! The shrimp was perfect and the cheese sauce devine! I had the creole bleu pasta, which had shrimp, crawfish, and crab. It was amazing! My daughter got chicken strips and absolutely loved them. We stumbled upon a great restaurant!

Always on point. The food is like out of your grandma's kitchen. We eat there at least once a week.

Let me tell you something. We just finished a swamp tour in the Louisiana bayou -- gators, cypress…read moretrees, Spanish moss, the whole magnificent thing -- and we were hungry, a little wild-eyed, and in desperate need of a meal worthy of the morning we just had. Restaurant des Familles delivered in every single way. We ordered the crab cakes, the turtle soup, and the étouffée, and I am not being dramatic when I say all three were absolutely out of this world. The crab cakes were perfect -- crispy outside, sweet and fresh inside, no filler, no shortcuts. The turtle soup was rich and deeply seasoned in that only-in-Louisiana way that makes you close your eyes on the first spoonful. And the étouffée? Silky, buttery, loaded with flavor. Every single dish tasted like someone's grandmother made it with love and a lifetime of knowing exactly what she was doing. But beyond the food -- this place is just beautiful. Tucked right into the bayou, quiet and unhurried, with that warm Louisiana hospitality that makes you feel like a welcome guest rather than a table to turn. We walked in as road-tripping strangers and left feeling like we'd found one of the best kept secrets in the whole state. If you are anywhere near Barataria, whether you just came off a swamp tour or you made the drive specifically for this -- stop here. You will not regret a single bite. Restaurant des Familles is the real deal.

Our server, Christopher, was very attentive, suggested wine pairings, and gave us great recommendations. We started with the charbroiled oysters which is a must. They were large and charred to perfection on the outside grill, topped with parm and breadcrumbs. My friends ordered the filet and the gulf fish, and I had the charred cabbage entree, with a French gerwurztraminer blend. The mushrooms with the blue cheese sauce were so rich and delicious! Sweet treats were a no brainer. The blue cheese flan was creamy and decadent. A perfect ending to the meal. This is so far my fave restaurant in New Orleans. It's an honest, no BS creole inspired cuisine. 100% coming back soon!

We sat in our own private room and were treated to a very special delight of a dinner. I tried the incredible fried green tomatoes, the seafood soup (?) and the incredible steak...wow, everything was amazing. And not only did Chef Christopher Lynch come out to say hello to my Autistic son but the owner Tony Tocco did as well and it made his day! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
