    Fish camp vibes!

A NOLA local buddy of mine told me about this spot on the West Bank and I'm glad he did. It was like an old school fish camp. The food was great. I'd never had white beans and rice before. It had andouille sausage and gulf shrimp. I was comfortable when I finished, but not stuffed.

Love this place. Service is awesome. Thank You Ms Amy and Ms Bridgette. My friends and I went two days in a row. We needed up here by chance but n the first day and then day two drove 30min just to eat here. No one complained. Even my friend who is super health conscious loved the fried catfish. Not greasy and seasoned well. Also, make room for dessert. The bread pudding was awesome and I don't even like bread pudding.

Food is delicious. Can't go wrong here, service was also great. Sat on the patio watching the airboat tours coming and going.

If you are visiting Louisiana, make this a spot to visit and dine. Great place to eat after you've done a boat tour. My best friend and I were immediate greeted when we walked through the door and sat by Amy the manager. She introduced herself and went over the menu. We started out with the Crab Dip, omggg it was super delicious. I ordered the Sausage Gumbo but Amy had a little surprise for me and brought out a side of potato salad to go with it. It was perfection. My friend had Crab Cakes, it was amazing. At the end, sweet Amy served us some delicious Bread Pudding and a slice of "King Cake". Amy was incredible and the food was made to perfection.

The shrimp remolaude sauce is delicious with huge spicy boiled shrimp. We shared the seafood platter and it was so crispy. This is one of our favorite places that's off the beaten path. Highly recommend!! Service is always wonderful and nice.

Good place to grab a bite to eat after a swamp tour! A group of friends and I were in NOLA for a friend's birthday trip in August and we did a swamp tour with Ultimate Swamp Adventures and decided Segnette Landing would be a good place to grab a bite to eat since it was adjacent to the dock for the tour. We took Ubers since we were out of town, so we didn't want to have to grab another Uber to grab food. After our tour, we put our name on the list and were told it would be a wait. It was a party of 8, so we weren't surprised that it would be a wait, but the wait was much longer than the time we were quoted. We ended up waiting over an hour. During our wait we did explore a little because the restaurant had one of my friend's phone numbers. When we finally were able to sit the restaurant was HOT. Unfortunately, the A/C was out, but the staff was accommodating and were still working hard. The manager was working diligently to get the A/C fixed and manage the situation, which was appreciated. But August in Louisiana with no A/C was torturous. It wasn't their fault, but I do appreciate how much they tried to make themselves and patrons comfortable, even putting paper up on the windows to help alleviate some of the heat from outside coming into the restaurant. The food was good...not spectacular, but good. Also taking into account the temperature, I don't think any food can blow me away when I'm drenched in sweat. I ordered the Chicken and Avocado Sandwich. I was impressed by how large and well-cooked the chicken sandwich I ordered was. I didn't order any cocktails, but my friends all said they really enjoyed their food and drinks. This is definitely somewhere I'd like to visit if I'm in the area again in a cooler month!

If you're looking for a dressy date night, this is not the place for you. But if you just want a hearty delicious meal in a fun atmosphere with friendly, attentive service- this is the place!!! We ordered: * Watermelon mojito - very refreshing * Hurricane - boozy * Ribeye special * Short rib special * Eggplant pirogue * Barbecue shrimp - which Daniel, our server who clearly loved his job and joyfully took care of all his customers, graciously peeled for me All our meals included the complimentary corn bread, a spinach salad, and 2 side dishes (we had the corn, mashed potatoes, and shoestring fries). The meal was already so filling, but our wonderful Daniel brought us a toasted coconut caramel bread pudding with 4 spoons! This place is packed every day after 7pm, but if you come early...you should be able to score a table. Reservations can be made for larger parties. It's a little out of the way, but worth the trip!

Our server, Christopher, was very attentive, suggested wine pairings, and gave us great recommendations. We started with the charbroiled oysters which is a must. Sweet treats were a no brainer. The blue cheese flan was creamy and decadent. A perfect ending to the meal. This is so far my fave restaurant in New Orleans. The moment you step into Atchafalaya, you realize it. Ambience is amazing, quirky, cool, homey and cozy. Staff is amazing. We sat in our own private room and were treated to a very special delight of a dinner. CAJUN SEAFOOD!!! My…read moreoh my, does this place have my heart! They know how to get down right here. It was super close to where we were staying, and since I didn't catch a seafood boil in the Quarter or anywhere else in town, I had to try this spot. My friend and I had our eyes on it, but once our Uber driver confirmed it was a bomb spot, we were all in and it did not disappoint. I even met a lady who drives 45 minutes just to get here, so if she makes that trek, you know this is the spot. I will be dreaming of this place! Being takeout-only gave it that authentic, local vibe, and I loved every bite. Unlike the typical mixed seafood boils, they bag everything separately, and I mixed it all together once I got back to my place. They have some garlic butter you can add, and I got it spicy! It definitely had a kick, and I loved it. I had a pound of shrimp, added sausage, two boiled eggs, the BOMBEST potatoes and corn, all tossed with the spicy garlic butter and I devoured it. Let me just brag on that shrimp and those potatoes for a second: both were amazing. The potatoes were cooked to perfection! Soft, not mushy, and seasoned just right. And the shrimp? Wow. I can still taste it. If you're in NOLA, you have to check this spot out! I will say one more thing though I wish I had room to try the gumbo! I would have loved to taste it here. Lastly, I didn't get to grab a po' boy in town, so we came back the next morning to try one. Sadly, the seafood section wasn't ready yet (we went around 10:30am), but the roast beef po' boy with gravy, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and maybe few other ingredients in it was incredible. I loved it! You'll definitely catch me here again next time I'm in town. 10,000/10. Thank you, cooks! A few practical things: if you're driving, there's parking. The service was friendly, prices were great, and while there isn't indoor seating, the waiting area is decent-sized. Just know it can get busy!

It was filled with nice chunks of beef, shrimps, and chicken. The broth was perfect (some places make it way too salty) and definitely satisfied my palate. Seafood Gumbo - Like most New Orleanians like me, we don't eat just anyone's gumbo. This hit the spot in every way gumbo should hit the spot! Service: Impeccable! Everyone I've come in contact with at Cajun's on Broad Street have been nothing short of wonderful. My experience has been amazing because they will address you with a smile as soon as they see you. They take your order and engage you in conversation treating you like a human being and not $$$. The staff is courteous and efficient. Ambiance: Fun family vibe and personal attention. If you're ever in the New Orleans area, come and give this business a try. You can only order takeout because there's no seating area to enjoy your meal there which is the reason I rated it 4 stars. Nonetheless, staff is everything and the food is soooooo delicious.
